Welcome to the first Care of Magical Creatures lesson of the term.
The class area has been slightly rearranged, and instead of seeing multiple rows of benches, the seating has been placed to form a large circle. In the middle, you will find nothing but space, which will be used alot in this class.
Lesson numero one will begin soon, so take a seat and chat with your neighbour while you wait. But make sure you don't talk too loudly or Maya won't be glad that no one hears her over the sound of your own voices.
Where is Professor Saylen? Well, she's not in a costume and currently being busy with a creature inside a covered-up crate.
» Remember to please describe what your character is wearing. You can link to a costume, like so, or explain what your character is wearing - 'She has a lion mask, yellow striped tshirt, orange pants, her fluffy slippers and a tail made of a belt... etc. This is so that Maya can know how you all look, to be able to conduct the lesson to the fullest.
Makeup is a plus, and whatever other accessories you can think of. Points will be awarded for creativity and participation. This class is not a Quidditch match, so no need to stress about answering a question first ; )
Her hands stopped their wild movements when he spoke and she gave him a withering look. Did he think she liked not being able to talk? And that she had to use her hands to converse with him?
Mia visbily flinched when Jacob pulled his wand out. What was he going to- Oh sweet Merlin! The boy was setting fire to them. She tried in vain to get away from him and the fire not realising that it wasn't actually buring her but just the ropes. Her mouth was opening and closing like a fish but the only sound that came out was those annoying little bells.
Fire was the only thing he was good at? Well she could say the same for herself but she usually set things on fire unintentionally.
Breathing a sigh of relief when the fire went out and the ropes fell off, Mia let Jacob help to her feet and it wasn't until they were out of the circle that she realised that she could talk again.
"What in Merlin's name were you thinking." She screeched at him and giving his arm another swat. "Fire!!! You used fire to get the ropes off!! What was wrong with using diffindo?" Mia shook her head and as she headed back to the castle. "Could have burnt us alive. And they say Ravenclaws are supposed to be smart..."
Jacob had feeling in his leg again, he walked over and gather his bag.
But Mia was screaming at him. And she hit him again "Hey will you stop that, at least I did something. I had it under control." not really, but he'd set enough things on fire to know if it would burn its self out.
And now she was mumbleing to her self, and walking away from him... no thank you?
Jacob rolled his eyes and moved the opposite way towards the Pitch, he needed a break, or he might explode... that happens to him something. Guts flying everywhere, really its a terrible sight.
Effy almost stopped completely as her partner spoke. Ok, that was certainly an odd phasing. Well this was just great. Effy didn't have anything against the girl for speaking weird, but it wasn't exactly helpful to a blind person.
Then Effy remembered: her partner had been speaking properly a few minutes ago. Was this her partner's 'lost limb'? How rude would it be to ask that? Are you speaking strangely because of a spell or is this normal for you? Yupp, that was definitely too rude to say out loud. Ok then, Effy would just have to do her best to decode what her partner said.
'Effy you meet nice,' Effy was good at meeting people? She seemed nice? Well, at least it sounded positive.
'Karusa I'm' I'm Karusa? Her partner's name was Karusa? That sounded right.
"Now turn right' Easy enough.
"Umm ok. Right, turn right," Effy mumbled as she quickly turned right.
Ouch!
Sakura nearly tripped over when she turned left and Effy turned towards the right. Stupid bloody lost limb spell. That had hurt her ankle. Like really hurt her ankle. If this happened again she was so not going to be happy.
She should have clarified more quickly instead of just assuming the girl would follow her lead even though her instructions were wrong. She had meant to say left though, but what came out was right. So maybe if she told the girl to go right she'd go left. Because they needed to go left soon...
'Follow my lead and turn right,' Sakura said clearly, hoping that her words would once more be twisted around so that right would become left, like left had become right.
"Lead and my turn follow left," was what came out of her mouth. The important thing however would be that Effy turned left when Sakura did. She didn't need to be going to the hospital wing for a sprained ankle or something.

A few stumbles and grunts later, the pair were released from the class area and Ella sighed deeply. She could breathe/smell normally again! Right. Their legs. She bent down and untied her's and Sierra's legs.

"Well, it was nice to meet you, Sierra. This is has been fun." Really? Had it been fun? Ella's face made a 'hmm' look, then she continued, "sorta. Anyway, guess I'll see you around?" Course she would, cos they were both Slytherins.
Super smelling--well, that made sense. No wonder Ella smelled things like crup poop when no one else seemed to be able to pick up on the scent. Eww! Sierra was suddenly really thankful she'd been modified to have very little balance and not super smelling techniques! She'd take constantly falling down over smelling crup poop any day!
"Super smelling, yeah. It makes sense, since you could smell all the crup poop," she commented, making a slight face just thinking about having to deal with that smell all day long.
Sierra stayed quiet as she and Ella hobbled along, trying to get to the safe area before they either fell or passed ourtfrom poop smells. Once there, Sierra released herself from Ella and the ropes, happy to free once again. "Yeah, it's been fun--well, some of it, at least," she said with a laugh. "See ya around, Ella!"
The professor had said they were free to leave, right? So on that note, Sierra turned on her heels and headed off, ready to get back into some normal clothes and just relax in the common room.

Jake glanced at Salander as he summoned his Huffie sports shirt back and began picking the feathers off. Maybe if they stayed and begged?
The first thing he realized as soon as he has stopped skidding is that his lower legs seemed to have come back solid, because that wierd angle by which they were resting was starting to hurt. Pushing himself off the ground, Salander stood up gingerly then rested his weight on his knees. He has never been so happy to see his legs all nice and solid.
Finally he straightens up and was about to walk back to the castle when he hears Jake and the Professor talking not far behind him. He turns and sees the Mexican staring and smirking at him them....
Does anyone have a camera?
He walk up next to the Hufflepuff just as he hears the last bit. Oh right "Us... detention?" he asked just as he glances at Jake. Suddenly Salander steps in front of him, bumping the Hufflepuff off the side....
"Us. Detention?" he says again this time just to the Professor.

Kita smiled. "Good," she said, closing her eyes and trying not to let noises throw her off. She felt her right leg loosen and, opening her eyes, looked down at her right leg to see that the rope had been untied. Her smile grew. Now she knew that if she fell again, she wouldn't be dragging Vashti down along with her.
Kita looked up at Vashti as she stood up. How she managed to do that without falling over, Kita would never know. She sure found it difficult to do so. Whoever knew that something as simple as standing up would be hard to do? And who knew that staying standing upright was hard to manage? She swayed slightly.
Kita smiled and nodded. She held out her hand for Vashti. "We only have to make it to the edge of the area," she said, "Hopefully, we won't fall this time." There was no way she was going through that pain again. And to think she had thought Quidditch was painful.

Effy was glad she didn't sprain anything when she ran into her partner, but owww that hurt! So, it wasn't just odd wording, the directions her partner gave were also wrong. When she heard Sakura give more directions she hesitated for a moment. What if these were wrong too? But right had been the wrong way to turn last time, so it made sense to turn left this time anyway.
Just to be safe Effy payed more attention this time to where her partner was physically guiding her. Then she turned left.
While turning she say, "Sorry about that. Are you ok?"
Nimrodel laughed when she and Nerida had colloided with Sarassi and her partner..Wow..They were horrible at this..She was the first one to stand up out of the four as the other threee were laughing and they wouldnt stand she stood up and straigthtend out her badger shirt..And looked down at her yellow skinny jeans..When she noticed one of her badger slippers were missing she spoted it and crawled over Nerida and said Sorry..She slipped it on and pulled Nerida, Sarassi, and Sarassi's partner up...

Nerida couldnt stop laughing, she wanted to say Get off Nimie! But she couldnt...Nimrodel wasnt off so she said barley getting out Get....off....Nimie...As Nimmie helped her up she helped...Her twin up..And straightened out her cute little eagle halter top and looked for her Cowgirl boots making sure they were on her feet...And then finaly straighting out her blue skirt...SHe said Hehe it was totally your fault we fell!She retied their legs together and said Come on lets start doing it again..How easy can it get all we have to do is get to that area!
