Jacob just shook her head as she laughed... if she half fell as much as he did, she would understand his close relationship with the ground who always seemed to be there to catch him.

"That seems like a possible solution" he said and sat up straight. He untied the rope that connected their legs, with his monkey hands.

Jacob pushed himself up, with the rope in one hand and offered the other monkey hand to help Mia up.

When she was up, he bent over to tie them back together, but before he could even get it around his own leg, the costume set him off balance and he fell on the ground again. "We meet again." he said to the ground and jumped back up.

"Probably better if you did it." he said to her, handing over the rope.

The young puff shook her head. "No, I wasn't going to pick a puppy." Mostly because she knew she wouldn't be allowed to play with him. Hearing the rest of is comment, the girl shrugged. "I doesn't matter."

" Em we both know you was going to pick the puppy ... wich leg you want tied cuz I think Matty just got buddied up holding up the rope

Salander turned his head between Prof Saylen beside him and Jake who was seated not far away. He then approached the pile that had the ropes and called out to both of them "I think this could be a 3-man team right?"

Or two guys, a girl and a walking pace.

This... was not good for Dallin's ego. He was standing alone, partnerless, and no one was offering to be his partner. No body wanted to get their leg tied to his. What a shame.

Looks like it would be his responsibility to find himself a partner. So, hearing a girl say she didn't have one, Dal walked over to her. "Hey, I don't have a partner yet." he said bluntly. He assumed she would team up with him, since he offered. "I'm Dallin McKinley." he added.

Taking his hand, Mia hauled herself back to her feet and watched with amusement as Jacob tried to tie their legs back together and fall over once again. He was more of a klutz then she was. "You're obviously better in the air." She said with a grin as she took the rope from him. She was definitely going to have to watch him in action at quidditch.

With a couple of quick deft movements of her hands, Mia had the rope re-tied and she staightened back up and placed her arm around him again. "Okay inner leg first, right?" And try not to yell at me this time she added silently.

Ariana smiled. All of these people were so nice! Sixth years talking to first years- it was never like this at her muggles school.

Two other people asked to be her partner. Two! A fourth year and a first year. Ummm... Well, the sixth year, (Matty right?), was the oldest, so therefore...
"Sorry, he asked first." (pleasedon'tbemadpleasedon'tbemad)

"And at sea." Jacob said "I guess I better in places that are rickity rather than stable" Jacob was so weird... weird-o! WEIRD-O!!!

Jacob looked down as she tied it. Why couldn't he do that?... Oh yeah... Monkey hands, and falling.

"Alright, on three." he said, and put his furry arm around her. "One... Two..." he made sure that their connected leg was well tied. "Three" he said and stepped forward with the leg... were they falling again? falling was just so natural he couldn't feel when it was happening

Nope they were good

"Whatever,"The girl said with a sigh. She refused to roll her eyes at the boy as he tried his best to annoy her. "It doesn't matter," she said "We can do it how ever you like."

"Lovely to meet you my lady. Now shall we get started?" *Grabbing the rope he looked around.*
"Ahh... I've never done a race like this before so..."

Never? Never done a three-legged race? Gosh, these wizards were weird.
"It's easy. Here, give me that!" she said, still smiling, and took the rope.
"Are you left- or right-legged?

He nodded handing her the rope. "I don't know how to play this game." He admitted innocently. "I can hold Walnut while you... Do whatever it is that you must do with the rope..." He offered and tried to make some sense of the necessity for a rope, but couldn't reach one. Eino looked at Walnut and petted its head but the cat's eyes were fixed on something else. Eino turned around and realized it was the crup Walnut was so interested on. "I think Walnut likes the crup." Maybe Eino would dress up as a crup next time to attract cats... or was Walnut a kneazle? Regardless, he would definitely be a crup next time.

For some reason that made perfect sense to Mia. Yeah she was totally weird as well. She had been told by many people. "So you would be like really good at climbing one of those rope ladder things, yeah?" Because they were as rickety as all...yeah.

Mia's hand gripped his hairy suit tight in her hand. She was not going down again. When she heard Jacob, say three, she moved her leg forward with his. And what do you know, they were still upright.

So Mia proceeded to take a step with her other leg. "This is not so bad."

Hopefully she hadn't spoken too soon.

... Oh. He hadn't even realized that there were more people there. Sigh. He shrugged and smiled at the girl before walking away. Now he had to find someone else. He searched the room. Most everybody had a partner. So... maybe he could join two people.

And that was when he saw wings. And a horse costume. Dallin knew that face... maybe he could join her and her partner. He walked slowly over to her. "Hey, Emmaleigh, right?" he asked with a smile. "Mind if I join you two?"

hearing the short answers " Em every thing ok " tieing her left leg to his right

"Yeah..." Kurumi said looking back and forth between the crup and Walnut. "That's exactly what I am afraid of." Imagine if some epic fight broke out in the middle of class. Then there would be a real race on their hands. "Walnut has to stay with Professor Saylen," she frowned. Walnut was all excited to be participating in class with his frog costume. She was sure that he also wanted to be a part of the race.

Kurumi took the rope from Eino. "Well, the goal is for us to run as far as we can, hopefully to the goal line, without falling over." Kurumi explained. Now it was a matter of picking which legs to tie together. She decided to go with their left legs. "We have to use this to tie our legs together. I think tying our left ones will be best." No real reason other than that seemed like their balance would be better that way.

Kurumi put her leg next to Eino's and tied them together making sure that the knot was not too tight and that the rope was not going to burn their skin. They sure must have looked ridiculous. A phoenix and pogrebin paired together. They were Team P! Or maybe PEKP if they wanted to keep their initials.

"There we go," she said standing up having finished the knot. "Now, we should practice." She put her left arm around his shoulders and hoped that he would do the same. It was the best way to keep their balance. "Okay, just running in place for now. Let's go left, right, left, right. Okay?"

Michael too.
 

Hearing her name the young girl turned to see if someone was actually talking to her. Because it wouldn't be the first time she responded to someone who had been talking to another 'Emily'. Seeing that they were in fact talking to her she smiled and nodded. "Yeah, That would be great." She then pointed to the hufflepuff boy standing beside her. "This is Michael, and Michael, this is Dallin." yes, introductions were important and all.

Rope ladders were fun! "Mhmm... I've done it so many times before, you kind of get used to it" he said, sure the first time he climbed the rigging of the ship it took him 30 minutes to get up but he was used to it now and it only took 10 seconds.

"Not bad at all" Jacob moved his other leg, and moved their center leg, hoping he was going at it to quickly now.

"Oh yeah? Where do you climb rope ladders?" For some reason Mia was thinking about those obstacle courses you see the muggles in the armed forces use.

Although she had to really extend her leg to keep up with Jacob's long stride, Mia was really getting the hang of it and they seemed to be both moving a little more easily.

She giggled a little as they walked around in a circle. "This is pretty cool. Not sure what the point is but I am having fun." Mia glanced over at Jacob with a grin. "So when is your first quidditch game, Captain?"

Aww, Walnut wasn't going to tie its little furry paw to them and race, too? Eino frowned as he watched Walnut in its frog costume be taken by the professor. Walnut didn't seem to care where he was going so long as it was closer to the little crup.

They had to run?! Eino was not dressed for the occasion. Why didn't the professor warn them to dress comfortably? He was too tired to even stand up, let alone run across the grounds. He was even having trouble balancing himself, his left side was significantly heavier than his right, even thought he had carefully placed the rocks to distribute the weight accordingly. Quite anxiously, he brought his left leg closer to Kurumi's and watched as she tied their legs together. This was not going to end well, he could already see misfortune in their near future. He was slightly cheered up by Kurumi's team name suggestion. "That sounds perfect!" He checked the knot by moving his leg slightly to make sure it was tight, but not too tight.

Eino didn't really like close contact with others, unless they were spurs, but this seemed inevitable during this activity. He copied Kurumi and placed his arm around her and followed her steps. "Okay... okay... okay..." Eino chanted nervously. He then proceeded to move each of his legs (well, he really only had one of his own now) slowly as Kurumi demonstrated.

"hey Dallin that is cool we will sandwich Em"

"I climb the rigging when I want to get into the crows nest of my grandads ship." he said, "I sort of just sit up there when I want to be alone" though there really are better places to hide.

Jacob and Mia seemed to be moving together... hopefully he wont die of heat stroke in the costume, someone really should have told him this is what they were gonna be doing.

Pretty cool? "I guess so... feels kinda awkward though." he liked having full contoll over every part of his body, and right now he had no contoll of his right side. Captain... that was still weird to hear. "Not sure..." he said. "Vindictus seems to be procrastinating with the imformation he gives us" and Jacob wanted to plan ahead, but right now Professor V. was making that easy... but he still had Practice to plan.

Jacob took his free hand and tugged at the costume... ity was so hot! He turned his head from the path in front of him. "Professor, Can I take the Gorilla suit off... or do we need it now?" he asked... still moving with Mia.

Audrey sat there quite thankful no one had mentioned her odd costume. She had a black hat with a fuzzy poof ball and long strings on with an orange beak made out of paper around her face and a large black and white suit on that did not fit her at all. The arms went almost to her hips and the legs had to be rolled up for her to walk. Not that she could even walk in her bright orange flippers. 'This is humiliating' she thought but she had been looking forward to this class since school had started.

Wow! His grandad owned a ship? "That is pretty awesome, you know? Not many people can say they have been on a ship especially around here." The closest Mia had come was a glass bottom boat. Really not the same thing. "Do you and your grandad sail the seven seas? And do you have to scrub the decks?" She asked with a laugh before adding. "Do you pretend to be a pirate?" Because if her grandad owned a ship, Mia could totally see herself pretending to be a pirate.

As they continued to walk around, Mia looked at Jacob again. "You feel awkward? I am actually finding it quite comfortable. Once you get the rhythm of walking right, you kinda get used to it."

Considering that Jacob was the Captain of the Ravenclaw team, he didn't seem to obsess over quidditch which was finally good to see from a boy because once they got started, you couldn't get them to shut up. "Well seeing how he is in charge, I guess he's entitled to procrastinate."

Seeing that Jacob was uncomrfotable in his suit, Mia slowed their walking down until they finally came to a stop.

The little redheaded mermaid smiled over at Violet. She was stuning as always. Then when the teacher gave her bunny ears she giggled, of course in a weird way the ears fit the costume and after class she could always take it off. Besides her costume was so perfect without the extra "tails" that with it the costume still looked like a Disney Princess.

"Sure, Vi! That sounds great. We are so going to show up everybody else." While she talked Selina tied the rope around her friend's leg and part of her fin.
