WHAT??? The Professor was going to sever limbs. Was that even allowed? Mia turned to Jacob and opened her mouth to see what he thought of this new development but all that came out of her mouth was a little tinkling sound. A bit like the sound of tiny bells. Her eyes widened as she looked at the Ravenclaw boy. She didn't have a voice anymore. How long was this going to last? |

"Make sure we don't bump into anything, okay, Belle?" she requested, hating that her voice came out as weak and scared as she felt. |

Amadeus was a grudge-holder, and a good one at that. It was rare for him to apologize or to accept apologies as easily as the next person could. He was offended beyond belief at being compared to what he considered to be blubbering, banana-muching buffoons and took Braeden's simple statement to heart. |

SPOILER!!: Arya and the professor .. Eep! Just after she spoke her words did Arya feel the need to suddenly stop, causing Evelyn to lose the rhythm of the walking and stumble slightly, yet still keeping hold of the girl's arm. Perhaps a littler too hard? Well, it was a horrible choice for the Hufflepuff to stop. Balance! Must regain balance! "What was that for?" she asked, the fun gone and irritation setting in. She was talking to loud? SHE was TALKING too loud? "Sorry, I didn't know you had SUCH SENSITIVE EARS!" Merlin, what happened to the girl? She was just getting bearable too. Hear...what...exactly? Frowning in confusion, Evelyn leaned forward to see if Arya was having some sort of mental problem, considering her gaze didn't linger on one spot for very long. Perhaps, there was something wrong? Not with the girl but, around them. "I didn't hear anythi-" MEEP! "Where...do you think you're going?!" WHAT? Trying to turn her head to look at the Professor, the Slytherin found it worse to try and walk when her eyes were not looking forward to where she was going. And they definitely were headed straight to the Forbidden Forest. "Stop! Stop stop STOP!" TUG! With the new found arm strength she had, the Slytherin fifth year tugged on Arya and took a step back. Now...STOP! |

Braeden liked the sound of that. With a rather shifty expression on his face, the boy whispered to his leopard-clad friend. "Psst! Deus! Punch me, will you? Or... climb up that tree again!" Yeah, because almost-dying again was totally worth it just for a cup of tea. But Deus wasn't answering. Huh? Braeden turned only to find Deus's back facing him, just a short moment after the boy expressed his offense over Braeden's earlier comment. At this childish act of pride, Braeden's jaw fell. Was he serious?! Of course he was serious. He was Amadeus Kipling; he was always serious! Gah. "Aw c'mon, Deus, you're not seriously upset, are you?" asked Braeden to his Ravenclaw friend's spotted back. D'awwwwww. He hadn't meant to offend him! If Deus didn't forgive him, Brae might just... cry. Like a little girl. |

"I think we have the hang of it now!" K-Lee said happily after not falling over. She finallyhad balanced herself in a way that she wouldn't fall over as easily now. |

True, he wanted to punch Braeden with the ferocity of a million leopards right now, but punching the Gryffindor would only give him what he wanted. At this moment in time, Amadeus was more concerned about his own welfare than snagging that traitor some free tea. |

SPOILER!!: Professor and Evelyn Arya was oblivious to the stumbling cause of all the new SOUNDS. ZOMG, there was so much to listen to. So many sources of noise to find. But that grip...she mouthed 'ow' as she looked around, other hand moving up in attempts to remove the girl's death grip. Was she this strong when they started the race? What was what- OW. Ow ow OWWW! The teen finally turned her visibly irritated face towards Evelyn, wincing at her loudness. "Ow! That's WORSE!" So so so much worse. She rubbed the probably damaged ear. "And your hurting my arm to." Leggo! "To find out what's making that noise." Didn't she HEAR it? It was SO LOUD. How could she not. She gave up trying to remove the death grip and tugged the girl some more, finding it difficult with them being tied together, but she was DETERMINED to find the source. It was impossible for the teen to NOT hear the professor. The woman could have been in the castle and Arya would have still heard her call her surname. Before she was able to turn around, Evelyn was tugging her HARD and YELLING. Again. Seriously, when did the girl get so strong? "OW!" The whimper was from both her loudness and the tug. They both HURT. "Stop yelling! Your hurting my ears!!" She gave a poor attempt at prying the girl's arm from her own. "And my ARM." Still. She'd succeeded in getting Arya to stop, which only had the girl pouting more. She'd heard the professor offer more interesting things while attempting to remove Evelyn from her arm, but she wanted to know what was in the forest. It was driving her CRAZY not knowing. "But...but but.." She bit her lip, and turned her gaze to the woman. "I wanna know what's in THERE." Arya would have pointed, but she was still trying to get Evelyn off her. Which was not easy, the girl must be getting her strength from the rope. |

Cedric was becoming more and more comfortable of doing this queer task, and he was actually beginning to like it... but then.... WHA---WHAT?! Cedric felt something weird... Patroclus seemed to be forcing him to trudge up, up, up to where...? oh, in the air! Were they flying? Obviously so... but yeah, they weren't meters above the ground yet he could see. But Cedric still grabbed onto his partner, resting his hand over Pat's shoulder at once, just in case something horrid happen and all. Cedric was not in the least afraid of flying. At all. But in their case, bound together, with only Patroclus who could fly, Cedric was helpless which he hated to admit. He endeavoured to throw the Professor a glance so as to signal help from her or anything she deemed necessary to do. Of that he succeeded; his gaze now fixed upon the professor, giving her a rather bland stare. Heeeeeeeelp. HEY! The surroundings were beginning to look somewhat foggy, darker. Cedric thought his surroundings seemed to be err... fading or was he just imagining things? Then in a snap, a flick of a finger, or a blink of an eye, pitch darkness greeted his eyes. He could see but nothing. Nothing but black. At the same time he seemed to have lost his ability to see, Cedric started hearing sounds: sounds created by the motion or of the flutter of trees' twigs, birds chirping, wind gusting, yells and chatter of the students from every direction, the latest quirky music the professor was playing... well, of course, they could hear them already even when he wasn't blind yet... but now, they seemed to be louder and clearer, much more audible. Ugh. ODD. "I think I lost my sight." He sighed. "And that eccentric music seems louder." Cedric hold onto Patroclus harder still, who, as well, seemed to be having a hard time with his fluttering wings and all. Good thing Cedric was beatifully strongly built! If not... Patroclus would have been soon in the air, many feet above the ground. YEAH. It should and must be Cedric that kept the Gryffie prefect from flighting fully. Quote:
Cedric needed a guide... or something. Patroclus, please? |

Her heart started to pound rapidly. Instinct had her focusing on everything and nothing at the same time. She could hear almost everything, but it wasn't enough, with one ear she didn't have the ability to locate everything she was hearing. Ever growl and roar and huff made her jumpy and the yelling caused her to attempt to flee but she couldn't, not attached to the butterfly anyway. She was skittish and wanted to hide. She looked around and saw a bush to hide in. Attempting to drag her partner toward it, she hopped in that general direction. That darn butterfly was going to get them eaten by something with big teeth. |
SPOILER!!: Anna S-s-s-s-s-severing?!?!?! That was probably the craziest thing she had ever heard. 'Sever' was such a creepy and scary movie type of word. Before she knew it, Sierra was stumbling all over the place and using ELLA as support. Grrrr, being tied together was really sucking right now. "Did she sever your feet??!" Merlin's beard. If she did then it sort of defeated the purpose of a three-legged race. It would end up being the two-legged race with Sierra attached to Ella's side. Oh CRAP. Wasn't she supposed to get something severed too?? Nothing felt wrong with her physically, but she suddenly felt like something had exploded right in front of her. Some giant stink bomb or something. Holding her hands up to block her nose quickly, she accidentally knocked Sierra away from her and they both tumbled to the ground, getting a face full of mud. "OH!" OH THE SMELL. She knew the smell of grass, mud and possibly crup poop was awful, but THIS took the biscuit. "I feel sick. Sierra, can you smell that?" She had almost forgotten that the girl fell with her. Woooooops. The stupid music made it all worse too. She felt like a circus freak. |

"Uh, thanks?" Emilly said, once Nika commented on her hair. Emily felt like she was running, faster and faster. "I'm sorry Nika! I guess this is what she meant by sever-" She didn't finish as she was so fast. A bug flew into her mouth. They had been trying to walk in a circle, but since her legs were going so fast, they were going everywhere but a cricle. She was sure they'd crash into someone soon! But... no. She may be going fast but it was like her legs were programed not to crash into anyone. To stay away from danger. "I'm so sorry" she cried as Nika was dragging behind her. Nika woudn't be able to keep up her pace soon. Plus she was more interested in things that smell. "Maybe we should un-tie ourselves before I get too fast!" she suggested. Nika might get hurt, and she didn't want that! |
Suddenly, Emmy staggered back, as though she'd run straight into a brick wall. A wave of smells overcame her and she dropped to the ground, desperately trying to make sense of this new world. She could smell crup droppings, quite a way off, but also several different shampoos, some long-forgotten sweets in some student's bag, and she even caught a whiff of aftershave... Eurgh! "Hugo are you all right? What's your 'severed limb'?" she turned and asked her partner. |
Damian stepped back into the class area. This time she did just stumble like a monster - she was a monster, if dragons could be classified as monsters. "Professor??" Damian tried to find the Professor. "Professor, is here anyone left without a pair?... oh, and I washed off feathers and blood just like you requested. I'm really sorry but I was running from Owlery and tried not to miss the lesson..." |

"What are you doing?!" exclaimed Claire as she watched her friend sniffing the air suspiciously. Claire was starting to feel warm in her big yellow chicken costume... though of course she knew chickens werent yellow. OOC: I didn't get an email, what of mine has been severed? |
Quote:
"My sense of smell is unbelievable!" she said smiling, though it quickly turned to a scowl as she caught a wiff of the body odour again. "Some one needs to shower", she whispered to her friend. "But in all seriousness, this is confusing, and overwhelming. There's so much going on and it's not all good." |

"Are you feeling ok though?... your not going to be sick are you?" she asked slightly concerned, but amused none the less. As Claire waited for Emily to respond she knelt down on her chicken knees and began binding the rope around their legs. This was going to be fun. |
Quote:
"I'm getting a bit of a head ache", she replied after a moment... "Don't think I'll be sick though... I mean the smells aren't that bad." hhhmmm Emily could suddenly smell blood... she wondered where it was coming from, hoping no one was hurt. Emily leant on Claire and watched her fasten the rope around their legs. "Ready for this?" she asked as she tried to focus on a good smell so that she wouldn't feel so overwhelmed. |
