What.

Maya frowned, hearing the yells of the Prefect, then blinking as she saw him...hovering. The spell must've gone all weird with that one.
"There there, Mister Patroclus, not to worry." Maya approached the pair and tapped the young boy's feet with her wand. It should make him get his feet back on the ground soon enough.

"No flying in my class." Sha announced calmly, adressing everyone even though she was standing by the two Prefects.

So...

Ay.
"Mister Kipling!" Eeeeeeeeeeeeh. She watched him rush away. Should she...do something? "Mister Stonem, are you allright?" She called out, watching the...quite speedy walk. Heh.

That was, until he heard someone shouting his name as he was about to mount the trunk. Deus had already planted his paws on either side of the trunk and had his foot on the trunk, preparing to dart upwards, when he looked down to find his friend on his back. "Oh dear," He murmured, detaching himself from the tree and reaching out a gentlemanly hand to give the Gryffindor much-needed assistance.

"Sorry about that." Amadeus apologized, bit his lower lip while his blue eyes couldn't resist darting to look back at the nearby tree. "It just came over me." He placed his hand on the back of his neck, scratching away nervously as he hoped that he didn't make a total fool out of himself in front of most of the student body and especially Braeden.

Turning to face Professor Saylen, the rougey blush on his cheeks deepened. "Sorry, sorry. Lo siento, Señora." He murmured disconcertedly like a scolded child.

Braeden groaned and moaned (rather dramatically) as Deus finally came to a halt and helped him up. He'd only, y'know… hit his head with a few rocks along the way and nearly lost his limbs, but he would survive. The oversized costume helped protect his lanky frame. "I-I'm alright, Pr-Professor," muttered the boy as he sat up when Professor Saylen asked how he was doing. "I think I'll survive… though I could use some tea…" he mumbled on, though he knew no one was going to get him any tea. Boo.

Slowly, the Gryffindor boy got up to his feet and turned an accusatory look to his friend, though it was hidden beneath the costume. "What power did you get? Tree lust?" he asked, wiping the twigs and leaves off his mutant deer costume. Sheesh. He couldn't see what Deus found so special about that stupid tree anyway, psh. He was better than a dumb tree.

When the music started Selina tried to instruct. "Step, step, step, step, dodge!"

Violet couldn't help but giggled at Selina's shock when she had changed her costume. Then she said eagerly,"Let's get this Sely!" Violet listened very carefully to Selina's instructions. "Yes! We are doing it!" Selina said as they began to move past the other students. But the words became gumbled as she talked. What came out instead was, "Shevem! Otawe de la woot!" ...what did she just say? She knew in her mind what she meant to say, but the words did not come out. It wasn't like she wouldn't say them... it was like she couldn't. Magic, someone wasn't letting her communicate. Then she looked over at the Professor and knew that this was part of the lesson. She had to communicate without words.

So she began to point to each side to show how to move in what direction. This wasn't so bad... but it wasn't easy.

What in Merlin's beard!
Hearing his companion's words to continue, he simply nodded and moved to continue figuring it all had to do with the professor's lesson plan and would be returned to normal. At least Simon hoped it would as he noticed the others around him. He didn't think he could get used to the idea of being a phoenix till and if it could be fixed.

Their movements were ok for a couple of steps before he felt himself pulled backwards as K-Lee fell, the captain falling himself. "Yu...k?" he asked her concerned finding himself alright except for his speach. Reaching up his hand to his throat this time he was surprised to find feathers there that he certainly hadn't added to his costume.

Too weird!

"I'm alright!" K-Lee said. "Are you ok?" K-Lee asked now noticing the feathers at his throat.

"Feathers?" She said confused, trying to stand up a bit. How is that a severing of a limb? K-Lee wondered.

"I didn't lie. I don't lie."

TECHNICALLY he hadn't lied. Jake had SIIIIIIIIIIIIMPLY been practicing walking, to all... errr... most intents and purposes.

It had been SALANDER who'd opened the door. But Jake didn't say that.

Being loyal and all.

"I don't want a detention," Jake mumbled sullenly, QUITE the little child as he pointed his wand at his and Salander's legs and casting at them. "Incarcerous."

Maybe he cast it a leeeeeeeeettle too angrily, because their legs were tightly bound together.

Wait, what?

"A... limb."

Jake looked wide-eyed at Salander. "We should've run while we had the chance."

Ahem...

"I'm quite attached to my limbs. In more than one sense of the word."

Oh, Maya sometimes forgot how young some of these kids were. Right. She didn't want to start arguing with the boy, and well, he probably didn't need a partner for the next part of the lesson. "Allright, you can do this on your own then." The Mexicana sighed and then turned to Fee.

"Right, Mister Ives, why dont you pair up with Miss Schwarzberg." No question, just do it. Gosh, if one of them mention anything with having a problem with cooties, Maya would give up. Heh.

OOC: The question Maya asked was solely for MissFeenella's character, as she was still partnerless and I wanted her to be able to RP in this class. But no worries ;)

Hold on there.
Maya turned around to see who it was that was answering her previously asked question. "Oh, Miss Morets. That was actually a question just for Miss Feenella...but good answer." She smiled and nodded once at the girl.

SPOILER!!: Salander and Jakers

What was Jakers trying to do now? Act all innocent? Sighing again, Maya lowered her head, looking at the boy with a serious expression "Be careful, Mister Morgan. I do not tolerate lying and I will take points if you continue." Plus he wasn't getting out of detention if he continued.

Salander's sudden 'outburst' actually made Maya jerk her head towards him in surprise. But the way he stood made her pretttty superior. Discipline. She liked it so much. But..."Easy there Mister Salander. You'll have time for that later." In detention.

"Now, I suggest you tie your legs back together. It's time for the serious part of this lesson." HEHE. Serious? Ppfffft.

Very good everyone, you are doing quite nicely! With exeption of those who keep falling on their butts and...other things. "Also, I will be...'severing'," she'd make quotation marks in the air if she could, "...one of your limbs." Just like, a heads up, si?

Without further ado, she then also pointed her wand at the students, making their costumes become more...alive.

And cue next song, since some people apparently didn't like the first choice. Heh. Oh, she could start dancing around right about now.

OOC: You will all recieve instructions by PM on what part of your character's costume will be 'severed'. That, in combination with your partner's 'severing', you will have to try and keep eachother on your feet and not cause too much damage to your classmates. ;)

The point of this?
Just (hopefully) pointless fun, plus letting your characters know how it could feel when the Wizarding world modifies creatures to keep them hidden from Muggles, and vice versa. In a sort of extreme way.

*cough*

If you do not recieved a PM from me by tomorrow, contact me!

Wait what did Jake say?

Detention?

*blink*
*blink*
*blink*

Which room?

Salander suddenly looked down at their legs as Jake redid the ropes. Eh not much moving around this time huh? Then his head shot up on the next thing the Professor said.

"L-lose a limb? LOSE A LIMB??? But Prorfessor, I nealy lost a limb to the dugbog last term!! I love my leg rememb--EEEHHRRR??!!"

And next thing he knew, he was bending backwards in an unnatural angle as his entire lower legs just collapsed from under him.

Grappling for Jake's arm, Salander tried to pull himself up. What the heck just happened? He looked down and where there shouldve been shin-guard armour-- there was just red gummy legs.

"Aak! Jake... help me up!"

However, he immediately snapped out of his desire. "I mean. I want to, but... it's not proper." Deus frowned, conflicted between his animalistic tendencies (damn that severing charm) and his Ravenclaw-like, gentleman-like status in front of Professor Saylen and the rest of the students. Other leg!

And then the next.

And then the next...

"Totally." she repeated, though in a tad less enthusiasm as Arya did. Why? Because the girl just tugged her closer, that's why. Merlin! Her balance wasn't that bad to be practically carried. Unless the Hufflepuff girl was the one having trouble then...Well...

Evelyn supposed that it was a good plan then. Stay close, and stay in the rhythm of walking.

This was SO much fun. Arya hadn't done this since she was in her muggle school, and she was pretty sure it was more fun now than it had been then. Maybe. She couldn't decide cause she was having so much FUN! Keeping beat with Evelyn, grin ever present on her face, she held tight to the older girl.

She hadn't realized that the older girl was less enthused about this as she was, nor that she had a thing about being so close to someone. Obviously it didn't bother Arya one bit. Obviously.

And obviously she wasn't gonna let go anytime son else they would lose their balance and lose the race. Can't have that. Nope.

Of course they were doing nicely! They were Evelyn and Arya. The AWESOME duo.

Wait....what?!

She was severing one of their limbs?! As in.....cutting off?!?

It was about the same time she froze to look at the professor that her hearing suddenly became...supersonic.

WHAT?

Almost stopping, and realizing that that was probably not a good idea, Evelyn looked over to the Professor with wide eyes for a moment before, not having seen her create quotation marks in the air with her fingers...before she felt kinda weird that is. Like, she could just carry Arya instead.

Meep?

Really, she didn't have that much arm strength but, now...she felt perfect for the roll as beater on a quidditch team. Bwahaha!

Oh Merlin.

Being so close to someone, them invading her space, it was messing with her mind! Her aura! Her inner peace and sanity! It was all going to the crups! Or perhaps the shock of going to have one of her limbs SEVERED just caused a huge adrenaline rush. Yea, Evelyn would like to see the Professor try and sever one of her limbs. "Is that even legal?"

It probably would have been a good idea if Evelyn would have stopped, since Arya had completely froze at the thought of having one of her limbs severed from her precious body. Saylen was just as crazy, if not more crazy than Lafay. She was SO sure of it now.

Waiting waiting.....she waited for something to happen when...

Loud Loud LOUD.

Everything was so LOUD.

The teenage Lovegoods had always had good hearing, but now she had GREAT hearing. She could hear it all so clear and at once. Ow.

"Your talking to loud," she murmured a bit irritated at Evelyn. Though her attention obviously wasn't on the fifth year as her eyes danced wildly around the area, occasionally accompanied by a wince when someone got too loud.

The music, where was it coming from? Someone was flying! Who?! Why were students stepping? Awww! They couldn't fly? Pout. Arya's concentration was shot to hell. She couldn't focus on any one thing as her ears adjusted to all the new sounds.

Wait.....what was that... "Do you hear that?" Her head turned towards the forest. Certainly she wasn't the only one to hear that, right? Right. Not waiting for a response from Evelyn, she attempted to tug the girl with her towards the sound.

Tug TUG.

Suddenly, Jake was on the floor.

It was natural that it would happen, being that his and Salander's legs were properly tied together now, but Jake was not prepared for what he saw when he looked down.

At once, he started to scramble up again, but it didn't work so well. Probably a good idea, too... because an energy kick chose that moment to... well... kick.

Jake found himself with his legs running at full pelt, but with his body going nowhere, due to him laying on the ground. Thank GOODness as well... though could have gotten messy.

Speaking of messy...

"Salander, give me a bit of your leg, I'm hungry!"

Well... his energy was burning up already, and he didn't have much to begin with.

Well... as soon as he'd slowed down, Jake would stand.

He had yet to realise how that plan might not work.

Kurumi, surprisingly, found herself smiling and almost laughing about her and Eino's awkward dance they were performing. It brought her back to when she was a little younger and back in Japan. Every October, her school would hold a Sports Day and it was the only time that her classmates were actually cheering her on instead of throwing rocks and mud at her. Well, she still had some rock issues right now, she glanced at Eino's costume, but at least she also had the feeling that even when class ended, people were still going to be kind to her. "I think we can pick up the pace a bit," she suggested through all her giggling.

Eino tried to go a little faster but then his legs began moving uncontrollably. His feet turned inwards, and were not pointing to each other, and his knees were slightly bent. "Oh, by the eyes of a Basilisk!" He complained, looking strangely disfigured, while trying to maintain his balance. He could barely keep his arm around Kurumi now for support, which he guessed was hurting her a great deal. In addition to that, the rocks on his back only made his knees bend further down, making him significantly shorter than Kurumi. "I can't... what... do I..." He tried to communicate with her, tipping sideways, barely able to walk. She was an expert at this, right? Right? "I'm going... to... die..." He said breathing heavily, coughing for air. "Take... care... of... Faustus... for... me..." He tripped over and fell on the ground. Then the Professor changed the music to yet another dirge, to a more depressing one, even.

Hera 01-25-2011 01:32 AM

Severed limb?.... severed limb?! Emily thought frantically as she turned and turned just to make sure her tail was there still.
"Tail... check"... Emily was still frantic, she liked her limbs, she would even go as far as to say she loved her limbs... "Forearms.... check... legs.... check.... ears... check.... face?.... well yes check...." She couldn't figure out for the likes of her what had changed.
She began to dance around her partner Claire, well, she wouldn't have called it dancing. Probably would have been more appropriate to call it ferreting... after all she was a ferret.

Suddenly, just as she picked up on a slight breeeze, she could smell chewing gum... minty fresh. It seemed to be coming from Claire, but she couldn't be too sure. But that wasn't all she could smell...
"MMmmmm chocolate", she said as she caught the scent of it. "Eeewww oh oh... thats bad", she said suddenly catching the scent of someones body perspiration. She checked herself... "Nope not me".

Emily began to wander around taking in all the different smells... it was somewhat overwhelming, and though there were pleasent smells... there were some.... well down right nasty ones too. Emily wrinkled her nose... she was she she could smell poop somewhere but didn't have the desire to investigate.

Braeden was only slightly comforted by Deus helping him clean up before listening as the boy explained that he really wanted to climb the trees. Huh. What kind of weird power was that? "Did you turn into a monkey?" asked Braeden raising an eyebrow hidden beneath his mutant deer head.

The boy sighed and brought a paw to the side of his head. Owww. His head was starting to hurt. It was so noisy out here! Merlin! Were people shouting or was he really just getting super hearing? Either way, there were some things he did NOT need to know. Like whatever student that was complaining about having a wedgie. Oh Merlin, and now there was a couple being disgustingly cheesy and mushy somewhere by the lake.

Braeden did not need to know this stuff!

"This is horrible - I can hear everything!" said the boy dramatically. Well, it was kinda cool too. But it would definitely take some getting used to.

He tried to communicate with her, tipping sideways, barely able to walk. She was an expert at this, right? Right? "I'm going... to... die..." He said breathing heavily, coughing for air. "Take... care... of... Faustus... for... me..." He tripped over and fell on the ground. Then the Professor changed the music to yet another dirge, to a more depressing one, even.

Man down?
"Oh, Mister Uronen, stop being so dramatic." Heh. "You are a good actor." Surely those rocks weren't real? The costume looked heavy. Blink.
The Crup actually approached the boy, now sniffing around him too. The tail waggled as he gave out a small bark.

Without further ado, she then also pointed her wand at the students, making their costumes become more...alive.

And cue next song, since some people apparently didn't like the first choice. Heh. Oh, she could start dancing around right about now.

Well, this new music was certainly, um, festive. "Certainly music, interesting is," Kurumi said looking at Eino.

Wait...

...

what?! o_____O

He could barely keep his arm around Kurumi now for support, which he guessed was hurting her a great deal. "Struh taht!" Kurumi squeaked as Eino began to lose his balance while performing some sort of strange Riverdance. "Keep dancing!" Wait, she hadn't wanted to say that. She wanted him to stop. "KEEP DANCING!" she practically yelled for a second time. Then, Kurumi's free hand went to her throat as if by touching it things would get better. Was this how Ariel from The Little Mermaid felt when her voice had been taken? Swallowing again, Kurumi spoke. "Eino, You dare stop dancing, do not. Hmmmmmmmmm."

Kurumi was in full panic mode now. What was happening to her speech and why was Eino dancing and bruising her even more?!

"Going to live you are not," Kurumi said in a soothing voice as Eino began falling sideways taking her with him. Huh? That was so not what she wanted to say. When Eino fell to the ground, he ended up taking Kurumi with him and she landed face first in a pile of mud. Spitting as much of it out of her mouth as she could, she turned her face to look at him. "Delicious, this is. Yes, hmmm."

And now Jakers was on the ground too!

Oh yeah they are tied together. That happens you know <_<

"Wha? My legs aint sumthin from the food trolley dude...." he grumbled as he struggled to sit up, trying to push-pull Jake up to the sitting position as well. He looked at the Hufflepuff's legs-- which was now practically a blur "At the rate those things are going we could be at the Kitchens in 30 seconds"

They gotta have a plan.

"We could make like a unicycle? We can slow your legs some by adding my weight onto yours and using ourselves to steer towards a direction-- you know like a sailboat?"

A unicycle sailboat. Does that even make any sense?

For Emmaleigh and Michael, too. ^_^

Left... Right... Left... Right... Slowly and surely, Dallin was walking. It was hard though, with one leg tied to Emmaleigh. Dal tried to walk slowly, not wanting to trip the girl... but he was bored with walking in circles. He made sure that he didn't take big steps, knowing that Emma's legs were shorter than his.

He glanced up sharply as the professor started talking about severing limbs. Whaaa? He looked quickly at himself, watching his legs and arms incase they suddenly disappeared. He eyed them for a long moment before finally deciding they were safe. He sighed in relief, then breathed in.

And he could smell. Like, really smell. His face wrinkled at the sudden onslaught of scents. He sniffed experimentally, and squished his face up again. Mostly he smelled what he assumed was perfume and cologne. He sniffed again. Ew. Animals; very strong-smelling animals. And a little bit of body odor.

He frowned, but it soon turned into a smile. So, what? His 'severed limb' was super smelling? ...Unless he was missing something. Pretty cool, if you asked him.

He raised an eyebrow, still dancing as he looked at Kurumi trying to decipher what she had said. He could see how worried she looked, maybe Eino wasn't dancing well enough? Or not hard enough? Why was she telling him he was going to die? What was she saying? "Kurumi... what... are... is... saying... What?" He tried speaking in between each scarce breath he could afford. He helped her up when she feel and seeing as how she liked the mud he was attempted to try some, but he couldn't bend down to grab a handful so he would have to add that to his "to do" list for later.

The Mexicana gave the young girl a small smile as she waved, hoping to hear her answer. "Well, yes. Indeed their whole life could change. Hopefully for the better, though. But that is not always the case..." Heh.

"So...how are your legs?" Hehehe.

Thank goodness that boy stopped or things could've turned ugly. And Maya wouldn't be so amused anymore.

Hehe.

"Allright, allright..." Maya nodded, giving them a little wave, letting them know she was okay, and that they were okay, and everyone was OKAY.
Wait, had he said 'tea'? "If you get any more hurt," or get dragged up to the tree by his partner, "I'll get you a cup."

Oop! That looked like it hurt...but in a funny way. "Mister Gardner, you allright?"

While waiting for an answer on the other fallen boy, Maya couldn't help but overhear some...unusual talking. Hoho! "Don't worry, Mister Bennet, just go with the flow." She gave him a thumbs up. "It doesn't sound too bad." Bahaha, really?

She saw that.
"Miss Lovegoods?" The Mexicana called out, "There are more interesting things not near the Forbidden Forest." Nod. Nod nod nod. She tried looking and sounding convincing. Merlin forbid the young girl actually gets there. Ay.

Man down?

Jamie frowned. "I really liked that wing too. I'll be alright though. Just a little lopsided. Guess I'll never get the chance to fly." She sighed and waited for her sister to help keep her supported. At least she wouldn't be alone. "How long are we going to be missing our limbs Professor? And will I get my other wing back?" She hoped so.

The girl couldn't charm her way out of a paper bag, and something like that was probably impossible anyways. And then she felt it. Their steps were off, and Michael was falling. Suddenly, she found herself letting go of him, and falling as well. "Ow," she said, leaning up and holding her elbow. After a moment or two, she managed to pull herself and the boy up. "You ok?" she asked.

Since they were stopped at the moment, Emmaleigh turned her head to listen to Saylen. Severing? must be like she did the the puppy's tail, she though. Then suddenly, the girl found herself floating. Her, er, wing was actually working. Only the left one though. This must be the severing she was talking about. It seemed that it was a little bit fortuitous that it was the left wing, seeing as it was pushing her towards the right, and the older boy. At least he should be strong enough to deal with the pressure. "Er, so..." the girl found herself saying.

"Going to turn that crup into a hat you are will! Hmmmmmm," Kurumi said as she continued to spit more mud out of her mouth. Looking around, she saw that Walnut had apparently given up his struggle in Professor Saylen's arms, which was probably a very good thing considering she was pretty sure the cat did not want to deal with all the chaos that was on the ground.

Kurumi tried to push herself off the ground so as to avoid Eino's dancing and kicking stone feet, but her hands only ended up sinking deeper into the wet earth. "Delightful," Kurumi said, but her tone clearly indicated the opposite. Grabbing onto one of Eino's many rocks, she finally managed to pull herself back onto her feet. Maybe, if they were able to remove some of the rocks from Eino's costume they would be able to move around better? "To take away some on your rocks is way, hmm? Yes, hmmm." Kurumi was beginning to hate the sound of her own voice. And it did not help that the music was driving her insane. They needed to sit down. Sitting down on a bench would be much less dangerous than walking around. Okay, time to more forward with the left foot then right. "Eino, move right with our backwards foot, let us."

Dallin only got the chance to marvel in the stronger smells for a moment before he was distracted. Was Emmaleigh leaning on him?

His eyes widened when he noticed that she was floating. He stopped walking immediately, staring at the girl that was now floating into him. "So," he replied blankly, looking at her wing that was causing her to float. Frowning slightly, he grabbed her hand in both of his, and gently but firmly pulled down. Although he didn't expect that to work for long. "How's this going to work?"

Expecto-Penguin 01-25-2011 02:52 AM

As Annabelle was tying Charley up to get ready for the three legged race, she felt herself going a little bit to the right. "Oh no my wing is gone." she whispered. "Come on Charley let's get moving, i can feel myself floating a little bit more to the right." It did feel weird only having only one wing on. The music she liked because it was fast paced, it felt like she was at a party and just having fun.

" Sorry, I am not your partner" Rex told Fee. "Chloe asked me first" Rex said to Fee. " I love your Unicorn costume" Rex explained to Fee.

Rex felt a pop in his leg. This happened after the professor used her wand on him. Now Rex has to think how he could use one leg. Wait a minute, Rex is a dolphin. Dolphind have the strength to hide in the water and use at least one fin to swim . Rex usedthe muggle made fin to walk faster and with his muggle underwater mask made him go faster like a dolphin swimming.

Chloe all of a sudden could not see a thing. She was still tied to Rex so she moved with him kinda awkwardly. It felt like something must be wrong with one of his legs. "She called out, "Rex I can't see. Please be careful how you direct me I can feel that something is wrong with one of your legs but please still be as careful as you can. I don't want to walk into the wall", Chloe said fretting a little. Being in the dark was quite a scary thing for her.

She was hovering once again, but a just an inch or two of the ground. "I don't know." she said "Maybe if Michael tries to pull me down as well?" She then looked between the two boys. "Er, what of yours got severed?" she asked them both.
