SPOILER!!: Salander and Jakers Wow. That boy was fast. Never before had she seen someone minimize the space between two people like he had. But, she was not going to be participating. She had no costume on, see? "An essay?" Maya looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Mister Morgan, other Professors might let you off that easy, but I will not." Mkay? "Now, you are a team, so work like one." And happy smile again. Quote:
OOC: Sorry it's taking so long to proceed with the class. I had a list with my next instructions to you all, but it went poof, and now I'm doing it from scratch again... It's really late here and I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open, so I'm going to pause the lesson here for today. Feel free to keep 'horsing' around (pun intended). Hehe. Keep it clean, and take it easy and all that fun stuff ;) |
You guys are fast XD Louisa was still amazed by the forked tail of this.. crup. It went away and then got back without biting the Professor! Wow. She so needed to be braver (is it a word?) to creatures. Never mind that now, she looked around seeing none of her friends around. Well, she saw that Vashti and Kita paired up so she had no chance maybe. "I need a partner, ma'am." It was okay to call the lady ma'am instead of professor, right? The young girl in this costume stood there rocking her body slightly. She better end up with a brave and athletic student, not that she lacked that.. just she didn't want to do all the work *lies* |
*radiates love to all* Jake is being such a pouty little BRAT Quote:
I think it's quite clear that Jake could be SUCH a child sometimes. Quote:
GREAT! Jake simply didn't respond. He actually figured Treyen had the right idea. "First time I've ever agreed with Treyen Lockhart," he mumbled to himself, more in surprise than anything. Huh. Who'd've thunk it? The young man chucked the shirt with feathers roughly onto the floor and headed over to Salander, adjusting his aviator sunglasses. His trouser legs were tucked into his boots but not so that he looked like a total n00b. They were more or less straight leg in any case. Now he probably looked like a muggle biker. ... yeah. No. "May as well start. But the second I start looking like a bigger fool than the guy dressed as a gorilla, I'm out." And he meant that in the nicest way possible. |
Quote:
"Yeah, its like I can't controll the right side of my body..." it was weird... He wanted his body back! "good point" Yes, he was entitled to procrastinate, but Jacob still wanted to know what was going on. The professor seemed to have ignored his question... "I'll take that as a no." he took his arm from Mia's shoulder and started tugging at his suit. What ever... its no big deal if he dies. Jacob felt a bit more comfortable. And put his arm back around Mia. Moving their foot again slowly to start back up. |
PAIR UP?! But Cedric hated pairing up! And tie yourself up with two other students? And then there would be a race or something? Alright, this was officially a children's party. Cedric furrowed his brow, his lips quirked in the corners and exhibited other signs of deep thinking. He was deciding whether to leave just like what Treyen and Ellie did (he felt sorry for them!)... or stay and merely look like a fool but gain housepoints which of course, his house was quite in need of. He chose the latter, being practical that he was. Well, he knew he couldn't look like a fool if he knew how to keep his cool. Yeah. That was it. Now for a partner... HMM. Looks like everybody else was already paired up other than him. He was left behind? Well, Professor Maya is left behind, too. Whiiiiiiistle. "I don't have a partner, Professor." Could you be my partner? |

Worser still was the fact that he also had to find a partner, to attach to his wings. Perhaps an Abraxan costume wasn't the best idea. Looking around Patroclus tried to spot someone who was free, partnering was always such a difficult section of the lesson, especially once all your close friends had been taken. However someone who was spotting an awesome pair of Batman Glasses, caught the Prefect's eye. "Hey Ced," The Horse-Face boy grinned, "Got a Partner?" |
Lexie watched while her classmates paired or teamed up, one by one. She stood rooted at the spot, not knowing what to do. Most of her classmates were not first years and knowing that didn't help at all. It's true that there were a few students staring around blankly with a look of confusion not unlike the one on her own face. But they look so intimidating. She frowned at that thought. Then she spotted a girl, probably a little older than she was, standing alone. And her costume. We look almost alike! Well except for her dress, and the ears... and gosh, the colour! Lexie walked towards the girl. Quote:

They had to pair up? This was so unfair. *pouts* Then again she came to the lesson so she HAD to participate right? Right. Now if only she had someone to pair up with... By the looks of things a lot of people already had their partners. "I need a partner too," Sakura volunteered, having heard a few people say they needed partners. If someone wanted to partner with her the offer was now out there. As it were Sakura couldn't be bothered to move at that point in time so she instead inspected her nails. They were currently only painted with clear polish but she was thinking of maybe using black, or something glittery. Ohhh she could use black and then put glitter stuff on the top, maybe try and make each nail look like something from the night sky. As soon as this lesson was over that was what she was going to do. If done right Sakura was sure her nails would look really pretty. |
Amadeus crossed his arms rather uncomfortably, although he was already sure of his partner: Braeden Stonem. It had been rather difficult for Deus to even consider skipping today's lesson, especially as they were all expected to dress up as a creature. How unbearable, to be compared to a creature that was lower than wizard. Brae had really been the one to convince him to be a true Ravenclaw and not skip out on what was to be a "fun" lesson, in the Gryffindor's words. True, Amadeus had luckily chosen a comfortable costume, but this was still no less embarrassing. "I can't believe you talked me into this," He muttered, pulled his hood onto his head for disguise and absent-mindedly grabbing his tail. "I feel like a stupid... leopard. Whatever you call this, this thing." He shook his tail in Stonem's general direction, the look on his face one of disgust. |
Effy spun around slowly, causing her red and orange phoenix dress and her red hair to twirl in wind, as she looked around herself for a partner. She cleared her throat, "Umm... Does anyone else need a partner?" she asked quietly while raising her hand slightly. She hoped she wouldn't be the only one partnerless. |
Quote:
"Oh, hey." Cedric force-managed a smile. He was hoping to be partnered with Professor Saylen, you know... but Patroclus wasn't--couldn't be--a bad choice fora partner... for he simply seemed cool and nice and apt and all that. "Haven't." |
Quote:
However, the head of the mutant deer did suffocate him a little, so the boy pulled it off for a moment, just long enough for Deus to whack him across the face with his tail. "Hey!" But Braeden couldn't be upset. There he was - Amadeus Kipling, Ravenclaw's finest, all dressed up like a giant leopard. Braeden tried his best not to, but he couldn't stop himself from doubling over in laughter. Awww mannn... that was just... too funny. Deus. In a leopard suit. He could die happy now; his life was complete. "Sorry mate, it's just... Merlin, this is just too hilarious to handle," said the boy between laughs, wiping a tear off his right eye. |

Then again if that had happened she would have probably been forced to be part of a trio. Ugh, this was already going to be bad enough. Why had she come today? |

"When shall we be starting, professor?" He turned towards the woman, an inquisitive look in his eyes. He appeared the object of innocence but inside, he was counting down the minutes until he could change back into his normal attire. This was an unusual feeling for the studious boy, but Care of Magical Creatures classes did tend to take unusual turns. |
Quote:
*He said with a small chuckle and he put his right leg out.* |
Hugo hated that word... Partner. Mainly because noone liked him very much. Kurumi was... With Eino. Adam... Was not there. Where was Fee when you needed her? Also, no Jacky, even no Katie. He'd expect those to be lurking around. "Anyone... Need a partner?" he said, more insecure and he started to miss Fee a lot. |

"Well if you don't mind racing with a pair of giant gold wings, it would be awesome to team up!" Patroclus was going to give him the offer to be partners, just incase Cedric was afraid of the wings. However it had crossed Patroclus' mind that the wings would in fact me an awesome stragical tool; as they would be able to keep himself and his partner in perfect alingment, the wings would act as a brace. Involve Patroclus in a competition, and the boy's brain was instantly filled with plans to win.... |

Distracting your opponents was always a plus and the Gryffindor's prefect's costume for one was a mere distraction. |

"Which side would you like to use, Right or Left?" the Lion asked the Badger, "Or we could try both even to see which is our best fit" he grinned. Looking around Patroclus saw what was going to be Cedric and himself in a few moment, hysterically laugh knots of students. Maya was the best! |
Quote:
"Yeah..." K-Lee thought for a second. "Well if we are having a three legged race, we'll need a count sort of thing, so we dont step out of count and end up tripping over. Sort of like, one count the third leg, next count the other two. If that makes sense." "Also, what leg would you prefer tied up?" K-Lee asked, gesturing to the piece of cloth he held in his hands. She was both legged so didn't care. |

But then she heard a voice asking for a partner. She went over and tapped the boy on the shoulder. "Hey, wanna partner up?"she asked shyly, "I'm Emmy, by the way." she smiled. |

"Any side," Cedric replied. "Yeah, Let's try both." And then a thought , all of a sudden, occurred in his mind, "Anyway, I just so wonder, does this game only needs two people to pair up or a group of three?" He just recounted what Professor Maya had said. Three-man race or something. Working in a group of three would make things better for three heads were certainly better than two but in a game like this where flexibility and synchronization was required well he just didn't know, it doubles the chances of tripping, stumbling and all. But as they say, the more the merrier. Cedric thought what they were gonna do was still of the party-game sort but well, he also thought this was going to be real fun! |

She couldn't help but giggle. "I guess that's my fault. It's only your leg though that's attached to mine. Okay and your arm is around me." She supposed that would be uncomfortable. Mia didn't seem to notice. Mia tugged on him lightly to make him stop. "We can rest for a bit of you're feeling uncomfortable. I think we have proved to the Professor that we can do this three legged thing anyway." |
Partner? It was really shocking but Lucy was still without a partner. She looked around to see is there was anyone felt alone still hmm, maybe all have a pair I guess she thought and called out load "Hello, does anyone need a partner, I’m ready" she said and was still looking around. |
