Elle quietly followed the Baron, trying her best not to scream at the countless spiders surrounding them. She could not attract anyone's attention, so she covered her mouth with her left hand tightly while her right was used to balance her when the ground went too rocky or unstable.

She was unfazed by the snake. Silly small thing. The redhead had never been afraid of anything. But spiders were a different case. Elle made sure her wand was easily accessible, so in case there were arachnids, or worse Acromantulas blocking her way, she would either blast them off or swat them aside. She would do whichever came into her mind first.

It took every once of self-restrain in Septimus' body to keep from screaming like a little girl and tearing off back to castle. Spiders, he liked. Snakes, not so much... Instead he just stood there, staring at it, shoes glued to the ground. Ugh, why did the professor have to bring them into a forest full of snakes?

Elektra was staying close to her two friends Selina and Violet and Elektra had to stop in her tracks and just look at this beautiful snake in the tree. "Oh, Merlin you are beautiful." Elektra was always fascinated with snakes. Was it the slytherin in her? She didn't know. She forgot that she was supposed to stay close to the class and saw her friends nearly out of her sight and she looked at the snake with her emerald grren eyes as it's green eyes stared back at her and she started walking away. Over here. a voice spoke to Elektra behind her. Elektra stopped and raised her eyebrow and looks over her shoulder. She figured another student was behind her, but all she saw was the dirt road and that beautiful snake in the tree. No student. She shrugged it off and continued to walk. Up here. The voice spoke again. Elektra stopped once again and then slowly turned around and for some reason, something told her to walk towards the snake and she stood in front of it. "Did you just talk?" Did you? Oh, bloody hell! The snake IS talking to her. Elektra's eyes widened, but she didn't feel scared at all. She was actually in awe. "Wow...I can't believe I'm talking to a snake." Not many can.

Selina was walking beside Violet and was about to compliment her on her bow when she noticed the usual presence of their snake friend was absent. Cursing silently under her breath Selina told Violet she would be right back. They were in the Forbidden Forest and Elektra was wandering off, it was so typical of her. She was never one to sit still. So Selina kept an eye on the whereabouts of her class and went to fetch Elektra.

When she found her by the tree Selina said, "Oi! Elektra how many times to I have to tell you to stay-" but Selina never finished her thought. Her eyes were transfixed with the right of Elektra talkig to a snake.

" You're, you're..."

As Elektra continued to talk to the snake she stopped hearing her friend Selina coming towards her. When Selina stopped, Elektra looked at the snake who was still looking at Elektra and Elektra looked at Selina. Selina looked like she had seen a ghost. "Selina? You ok?"

"You-you talk to snakes...?" From the look on Elektra's face it seemed like she was unaware talking to snakes was not a typical gift. Growing up in the Muggle World always gave her friend a disadvantage to what was normal in the Wizarding World and what was not. This is was defiantly not normal.

Elektra shrugs. "I...I guess. I mean I..." she looked at the snake. Ok, now she was distracted by the snake She can't hear me. "Why not? I mean I can understand you perfectly." You have a rare gift. "Huh?" Elektra raised her eyebrow then looked at Selina. "Selina, I don't know what...I mean...you don't hear it talking?"

"No, I can't." Selina was close to fainting. Elektra had no idea what this meant, she was related to the Gaunts. And history had another person who was too...

She raised her eyebrow. "Selina, what's wrong with you?" Elektra walked away from the snake and walked towards her friend. "You're-you're scaring me." Elektra was now starting to get scared at how her friend was acting. This was not how Selina usually acted with Elektra.

Selina opened her mouth to produce sound but none came to her now dry lips. It was as if every word she had ever learned in primary school was eacaping her. "You're a Gaunt." She finally mustered.

Elektra's eyes widened. How did she know that? The gaunt in her family was her father's mother, Anna, but she died before Elektra was born. Elektra never brought that up around her friends. As a matter of fact, she never mentioned about her family except her father and mother around Selina. Now Elektra was freaked out. "My...grandmother's last name was Gaunt, but she died before I was born. Selina what are you trying to say here? Please...you're really scaring me."

"Elektra, I knew that because you're a parseltongue. The fact that you can talk to snakes is a very special gift. If has been known to only appear in one bloodline- the Gaunts. I don't know how to tell you this, but they were not the most up standing family. They were direct descendants of Slytherin as he was the first one who could talk to snakes. A branch of your family is Riddle. As in Voldermort."

Elektra just looked in shock. She shook her head in disbelief and started to back away from her. "No, no, it's-it's not possible that...I'm related to...to..." Elektra couldn't help but laugh a little, but it was all out of fear. "Voldemort?! Selina you are talking nonsense ok? There's just no way I can be related to that-that monster!"

Jaina held tightly to Ben's hand. She was not letting go at all. She turned to Belle to make sure she was right behind her. Jaina was normally not scared of anything....unless it was the greenhouses her at Hogwarts, but this forest seriously gave her the creeps. She wasn't sure why it did, but it did. Jaina had led a very sheltered life because she was forced to, but that didn't stop her from exploring the backyard. Her eyes scanned the treetops as she felt that something was watching them. She stumbled over one vine and fell into Ben's back, but it was just enough to give him a nudge and allow her to straighten herself. "Sorry," she said sheepishly, "I looked up instead of down." She glanced back at Belle. "Do you guys get the feeling like we're being watched? This does not seem right."

Why was Destiny moving closer to her?!

Did she know about her plan to sacrifice her to whatever was going to attack the? Probably not, the girl wasn't the brightest Slytherin in the castle. Arya was still amazed she's made it to fifth year. Narrowing her eyes, she pretended not to be bothered by the girl moving closer to her.

The Hufflepuff didn't believe for one second that they all were going to exit the forest unharmed, but she was believing what the professor was saying about the charm, mostly because she didn't believe in tall tales. His demonstration helped too.

Still Keeping close to Destiny, because she was her human shield, the girl continued deeper into the forest with the rest of class, eyes flicking to the snake in the tree.

If it fell, she was feeding Destiny too it.

*glare*

Emily followed her peers and the Baron deeper into the forest, the darkness pressing in on them from all sides, but their lanterns shone as brightly as ever.

Snakes?!... snakes....
Emily didn't... fear snakes... she just didn't particularly like them.

What in the name of Merlin was that slytherin girl doing?! was she a parseltongue? It looked as if she was talking to snakes.

Interesting.

Violet clapped after she had gotten two house points for her house and was beginning to enjoy class again, still a little nervous though. She was walking closely with Selina when all of a sudden she said she'd be right back Violet was already suspicious. She turned watching Selina leave and noticed that Elektra wasn't there with them, just like that girl. Violet was tending to have an argument with herself,"I should go get the both of them and bring them back before the class gets too far ahead without them-NO I should stay here and let them find their way-NO I couldn't do that to them, ughh!" Violet stopped and sighed and then slowly turned and began quickly walking where Selina and Elektra were, keeping an eye on where the class was.

As she began walking to find them Violet was getting such a very strange feeling. A feeling that she was being watched, so she immediately began to quicken her pace to find Selina and Elektra. As she continued walking she began to wonder if she was even going in the right direction, that lasted for about a good few minutes, until she heard the loud obnoxious voices she recognized so well and began to relax a little. Violet then could see both of their lanterns and saw her best friends, arguing about something. As she got closer she heard Selina mention Voldemort?! She reached them and then said,"WHAT IN MERLIN'S NAME ARE YOU TWO DOING?! YOU'RE GETTING SEPARATED FROM THE CLASS?! AND WHY may I ask ARE YOU TWO TALKING ABOUT "YOU KNOW WHO?" She crossed her arms, and thought she heard something behind and quickly turned her head only to see nothing, then she quickly moved closer to Selina.

Luin stayed close to the class, having been right near the front when they start into the forest, she clutched her lamp and kept her eyes on the professor and the baron. This was definitely an interesting class. What was with all the teachers this year and not staying in the classroom. She glanced around a bit, it sure was dark, oh well at least their lamps were still going.

Elektra and Selina were way too into their conversation. She was still freaking out about the fact that she is just finding out that Voldemort could possibly be related to her. There was just no chance that this was possible. Elektra was a good girl. Not an evil bone in her body. Well, I mean she was a little angry at times, but blame Vindictus for getting on her bad side. As Elektra was about to speak she heard a stern, yet bubbly voice. She knew too well who it was and Elektra looked over seeing Violet. Elektra didn't know wheter to explain to Violet what was going or keep her mouth shut. "It's nothing Violet ok? Let's just all catch up with the class before we get into trouble."

As soon as Elektra began to speak Violet immediately put up her pointer finger and shook side to side saying,"Oh no no no no no, I don't think so Miss Draven, I can tell it's nothing, you've got the most worried look on your face and you're paler than ever!" She put her hands on her hips,"Along with that, you're not a very good liar, just like Sely isn't! You two don't think I can't tell when you're lying? You both are strongly mistaken, now spill the both of you!"

Elektra scoffs and raises her eyebrow to Violet. "What?? What are you saying? You must have lost your marbles! There is nothing wrong with me and I always look this pale. The night is bringing out my paleness." She said with a smile on her face. Oh, that smile was hurting her face. Elektra then let her smile just go away and she sighs and looks at Selina then at Violet, "Look it's nothing alright? I-I fell and Selina came back nd picked me up and now we are going back to the calss right Selina?"

The Baron? The Baron? The Scary, Bloody , Creepy Baron??

But Savannah took a deep breath and followed the ghost anyways.

Ooooh....a pretrty snakey!

Okay, maybe not that pretty. But still pretty cool. Savannah dared not to move as the snake hissed. She wondered what we're gonna do next. Maybe trying to catch the snake without getting bitten. She waited patiently and quietly.

Spike might have stopped momentarily to see about finding an ickle friend for Matilda. There were certainly lots of spiders around to choose from. He didn't get chance to relocate any to his pocket though, as the Baron had moved on. And as much as the forest and its creatures thrilled him, he had no desire to be left alone.

...so he skipped up to where Miss Ellie was. She was probably loving this, wasn't she?

"There's spiders. And snakes. And snakes. And spiders. " he said, excitedly. "So many awesome friends." He looked up at the Professor the other side of Ellie. "Absolutely suuuuuper cool lesson," he said with a grin.

Ellie turned to the presence that had popped up beside her and started talking of spiders and snakes.

Go figure, it was Spike.

She fixed him with the best 'death stare' she could muster. She was thinking about giving him a threat, as well. Maybe something along the lines of, 'You watch it or you'll wake up with bugs in your bed', but then she realized that that might already be the case.

"Hope you don't have Matilda in there," Ellie said, eyeing his curly locks, "She might want to go join her friends." In the Forest. For forever. Mwaha.

...After a moment, though, she felt guilty about it. "Just kidding." Mostly.

Was she...glaring at him? He'd only been having fun - it wasn't like he actually had a spider or a snake on him.

Not yet, anyway.

Though he was severely tempted. His pockets were nearly full, but he could totally rock a snake round his neck.

"What if I do have her?" he questioned, trying to eye the older girl back. He was currently halfway between a frown and a wibble. Maybe he could only do vaguely 'scary' on the pitch. "She'd never leave me!" He said it almost defiantly. "And anyway, she's in the castle. I think she said something about exploring the girl's dorms. The Ravenclaw ones, I mean."

Ha. He wasn't just the ickle one.

Hang on, 'just kidding'? He looked at her sheepishly. "Same. Me too. She wouldn't go in your dorm. Not on purpose, anyway."
