Kurumi had been surprised that Walnut had insisted on coming with her. Recently. he had been acting like a spoiled princess and had only wanted to follow her around when it meant she was going to classes. Yet, here he was following her to the broom cupboard...perhaps for the last time.

When she arrived, she saw that the door was open. Peering in, she saw Adam looking deep in thought and with a slight frown on his face. She hadn't been expecting that. She figured Adam would try to keep up the humor and have a positive attitude. Perhaps that meant that she needed to be strong for the both of them?

Breathing in and out slowly in attempt to stop herself from trembling, Kurumi forced herself into the broom cupboard and slowly shut the door behind her.

"HEY!" she chirped a little too loudly. Even Walnut seemed to have raised his kitty eyebrow at her.

Adam slightly raised his head to find her. Slowly letting go of the dusty old broom he said, "Hi."back a little too quietly, he could barely hear himself.

He noticed Walnut perched by her feet and wondered if he was also here to show condolences to Adam and Kurumi.

"I was umm...just umm....searching around."He told her, barely able to get the words that stuck onto his tongue like if it had been glued there, out.

This was no time to be Burn, Adam. He wasn't gonna pretend to be happy about leaving the one place that made him feel at home, that wouldn't be respectful to anyone, and especially Kurumi, she deserved the truth at last, after all that had happened.

Kurumi set the tin box she had been holding in her hands down on a chair and walked closer to Adam.

She stood very still for a few moments wondering if perhaps she should leave Adam alone to his thoughts. Yet, something told her that perhaps staying would be better.

Kurumi wrapped her arms around Adam and realized that she couldn't bring herself to be strong in this situation. It didn't really call for either of them to be strong - not that either of them could be. Two years had gone by in the blink of an eye.

Adam felt the warm, gentle grasp of her hug and he did the same back to her.

Times were so difficult that speaking could make things worse.He didn't need things to turn out to be worse in a time like this.

"I'm deeply sad also...I'm going back down, memory lane."He gently spoke up as he rubbed her shoulders soothingly like a massage.

Right when everything was right on track, things were great with all his friends, they all had to experience a big left turn in their lives to get over. Why was life so odd like that,wanting to separate people from the ones they loved or places they wished to stay forever.

"I am too," she murmured into his chest. "I have so much to thank you for and I am not sure how to do it properly." She looked up for a moment already feeling the sting of tears forming in her violet eyes.

Still, no matter how much she begged, how much she wanted to kidnap him and lock him in her trunk, how many tears she shed...it all came down to this was Adam's decision. It was something he felt that he had to do.

How could she step in the way of fate?

"You don't have to thank me...You're the one who taught me to be better.I didn't do much, at least I don't think I have...I mean you mean so much to me...I was thinking of staying with Selina, but that wouldn't be right to my parents...And we can still be friends, through letter. An once you graduate and I am of age, we can start up the dragon school and start our lives together again."He said petting her hair like a cat...It probably reminded her of that, so he kept on doing it for a while.

Kurumi hugged Adam tightly as she was petted. Petted? Walnut seemed to giggle as he meowed at the pair. Perhaps he wanted some attention as well?

Bending down, Kurumi picked up Walnut and held him in her arms. The cat stretched his head and licked Adam's hand.

"I'll write as often as I can," she nodded. "Walnut too, although I will have to write for him. He will probably want to know how Tigger is doing."

She tried smiling at him bravely, but her eyes deceived her as her tears sparkled in the morning light that shone through the window.

Adam felt a rough, but wet scaly white tongue lick his hand. Tigger usually did that to him after he had some egg sandwich, and the feeling was ticklish but funny all at the same time.

"Tigger told me to draw this for Walnut- his first cat friend at Hogwarts, tigger

He could sense the warmth wash over them, but to him, that warmth was a lie, because he honestly didn't feel any of it.

Kurumi smiled as she took the drawing from Adam. Walnut sniffed it and moved like he was about nibble on it. Not good...Kurumi held the paper at a safe distance. "Thank you."

Setting Walnut back on the ground, Kurumi turned her violet gaze back to Adam. There was one question hanging over their heads like a dark rain cloud. It had been the dragon in the room ever since Adam had said he would be moving to Mexico.

What did they do now...as a couple...

"I...uh...Adam," she said turning her gaze downwards. "I...I don't know what is best for us to do..." She swallowed back her tears and gripped her hands into tiny little fists. "...I mean...do we stay as we are?"

The one discussion Adam had so much time spent with Selina about, now arised.

Was the right thing to let her go, let her suffer all on her own, or give her the false hope that one day he may return back to hogwarts, and they carry on with letters.

Letters didn't do much for their friendship, relationship. It only gave them a sense of what was going on in their life. And a letter was more of advice, not a actual opinion , when trouble brewed it lasted for weeks an getting an owl to fly from Mexico to London every 2 weeks would prove to be difficult and straining on the relationship.

"I don't know..Maybe we should stay as we are, but if things happen, maybe we should just let our own lives happen and we kinda just get on with our lives..."He answered the best he could.

Kurumi listened to Adam and nodded slowly. His words registered, but it was like she wasn't really hearing them. Her heart thumped in her chest so hard that she felt as though it would come bursting through her chest at any moment. She was even beginning to feel short of breath.

Her thoughts suddenly went to their final Divination class of the year and what had happened there. Selina had seen something, a vision of a girl who knew Adam. A girl who had come from Mexico. Her mind had raced with all sorts of situations that could explain who she was.

"I...," she started, but her words chocked. "Let's do our best."

He could tell she was listening to him, but her mind was in a different world.Kurumi was somewhere else, and Adam didn't wish to bother her when she seemed deep in thought, that would be very rude of him.

Adam watched her more closely, as she was gonna say something, but changed her wording.

"You were gonna say something, but you changed your mind..."He said, noticing her stop herself.

Kurumi smiled and wrapped her arms around Adam and burried her face in her chest. Right now, she didn't want to listen to the advice given to her by her bothers. Right now, she just want to think about her and him. Right now, their feelings were the only thing that mattered inthe engire world.

"I'm just frightened about losing you. You are, well, have been the only constant thing in my life."

He could feel how she wanted to only focus on them first, and that whatever was going on in the outside world, all seemed to be untrue at the moment.

"I'm pretty sure your brothers are another constant part of your life...I mean, I wasn't the greatest to you for about half a year..."He said.

Kurumi smiled at Adam and decided to take a seat on the floor. Walnut hopped onto her lap and curled up into a ball and began to purr softly. She reached down with her right hand and gently scratched him behind the ears.

"I meant people outside of my family. The will alwahs be there for me because they are my family. They don't really have a choice in the matter," she laughed, but her eyes remained playfully serious."You have been here because you made the concious decision to. You knowI haven't had many people do that in my life. At least not before coming to Hogwarts."

Adam felt weird standing up still. The eye level made it seem like he was more important, or had a higher standing position than Kurumi- which was not at all true.

Slowly, feeling a bit conscious about it, he sat down next to her.

"But I'll always be here...You know that, even if it has to be in memory I am still here. I'll never leave you.Those that remain loyal to you will never forget you..I won't forget you, because we've been through way too much together to forget one another. Don't you believe that?"He asked, petting her head like a cat.

Kurumi rested her head on Adam's shoulder and closed her eyes for a moment taking in the sound of his breathing and hers, along with the musty smell of the broom cupboard.

"I know you will always be with me, in some form or another," she said softly still with her eyes closed. "It is going to take a lot more than a few thousands miles to change that."
