Ivan walked up to the Ravenclaw tower and with a yawn bypassed everyone in the common room and headed up to the dormitory. It'd been a long day and had culminated in him finding Lexi and that Slytherin twerp together and her saying she kissed him. He'd wanted to punch him...he reaaaaaaally did but he'd just walked off instead. He'd taken a shower and got clean clothes and now he was laying on his bed staring up at the ceiling. He knew better and had from the start. Told you so. STUPID VOICE IN HIS HEAD! He knew that he didn't just like her and their time together this summer all day and all night...had just solidified that. Should he forgive her though? Could he? You're the one who thought that starting the term would mean lesser feelings. Well here you go. He ground his teeth together and threw a pillow on his head yelling into it. Stupid day.

JP walked into the dormitory to set some stuff down on his bed when he overheard someone yelling into their pillow."Hey. Everything Ok ?" JP looked inquisitively at the boy in front of him.

Hearing someone in the room he pulled the pillow from his face hoping it was James only to find a younger boy there. "Do I look okay?!" he snapped and sighed. "I'm sorry didn't mean to snap at you." He threw the pillow on the bed beside him. "It's been a...rough day." The easy way to put it at least.

JP slightly jumped back. "Uh, Sorry. Hope everything is ok." He was kind of speechless seeing as the person, now realizing it was a fifth year, was very upset. "Talking about it usually helps. And I have a couple Licorice wands too. They always cheer me up." JP smiled and offered him a wand cautiously.

Hope everything is ok.... Of course everything was not ok. What a stupid thing to say. Offering to talk about it? That'd only happen with James and that's it. Sitting up he looked at the younger boy and chuckled, "Those are good. Thanks." He took the wand with smiled. "So what's your name?" Yup he was so diverting from the issue but the boy wasn't going to get anything about that out of him anyway.

Seeing as attempts to try and talk about it would be futile and noticing the change in subject JP let it go, Smiled that he accepted the candy and looked up at the new Fifth year he had just met. "JP, JP Santos. Yourself?"
JP thought to himself, "Wow, this guy is a little intimidating. But if he likes Licorice wands he can't be too bad at all."

Taking a bite of the licorice he smiled at the boy, "Ivan Vorpatril. Nice to meet you." He shifted so his back was leaning against the end of the bed. "Did you see a guy down there, 6th year, James?" He really wanted to talk to his best friend. He took another bite out of the candy and sighed, "What year are you anyway? 1st? 2nd?" He was young that much he knew.

Dallin smiled to himself as he walked into the dormitory. His exploration of the castle had gone quite well today, and all that was left was his sleeping quarters. Sure, he'd been in here last night, but that had just been to sleep. Now, he planned on looking around and making his bed and surrounding areas more homey.

He easily found his trunk, considering the golden cursive Dallin R. McKinley on the lid. He took a flying leap onto his bed, twisting in the air and landing on his back with his head on his pillows. He grinned up at the curtain above his head for a bit before sitting up. That was when he noticed the other boys in the room. And one of them didn't look happy.

He instantly calmed down - though just a little - and gave them a wave. Then he got off his bed to kneel down in front of his trunk, searching for his supply of candy.

"Nice to meet you too Ivan!"
Now JP wished more than ever that he had paid more attention when he walked up to the dormitory.
"No I haven't, Sorry." JP Frowned a little.
"I'm A 2nd year. If you'd like we can go down and look for him! I don't mind helping you and walking around the castle can be fun! You never know what to expect." JP now getting excited at the thought of possible adventure.

"Hello there! Licorice wand?"
JP said happily to the boy who just entered the room.

Ben trudged up to the dormitory, eager to get away from the masses of people he had been forced into contact with for the past few weeks.
Individually, he could deal with people, but recently it seemed that if there was one person, there was one hundred people.
He found his bed and cracked open his trunk to shuffle through some books until he found one that piqued his interest. Then he stretched his short frame out on the bed and tried to hold the book above him and read. That did not work so well as a cluster of pages, having freed themselves of the binding, hit his nose with a thud and he jerked his body into a seated position, scattering the pages all over his bed and onto the floor.
Where did he even get this book?

Robert walked to the dormitory and felt tired from the common room. And he saw a boy in front of him. "Hi, are you okay?" said Robert.

Hmmm. Today had been very good. Although it had been a little disappointing to have to say goodbye to Ara for the mean time, but he would see her later so that was okay. But now....he really did need that shower, hence why he was now walking into the boys dormitory. To be honest Finn had nearly forgotten that he had wanted to go in the shower, Ara was just that much of a distraction. But now...now he was not going to get distracted. Hopefully anyway. As long as Jimmy wasn't in here, then he'd be okay to go straight through to the shower.

Ben looked up from where he was staring at the loose papers and saw the boy addressing him.
"Uh, yeah, I'm...I'm fine. Just the-er- the middle of my book decided to fall out and, well, you see what happened."
He began gathering up the loose papers and stacking them up on his bed. The other boy had inadvertantly stepped on one of the pages, he noticed. "D'you think you could hand me that page?" Ben asked, gesturing toward the paper under the other boy's foot.

JP noticed that the Prefect for his house had just walked into the dormitory and that he was going to what looked like the showers with everything he was now holding but approached him any way.
"Hello there. I'm JP. I was hoping to get acquainted with you since i have not had the opportunity to meet you yet."

"You mean this one??" JP handed it to the boy.

Ben swung his head around to the previously unnoticed boy holding a page out toward him, "Er, yeah, I suppose I need that one, too. Thanks."
He took the offered page and worked to sort it into the pile.

"Here try this." JP waved his wand and a large pile of papers from the boys book swooped over to him.
"There you go! The name is JP." He stuck his hand out to help the boy up.

Ben blinked dumbly at the pages flying together in a neat stack, used to his dad's rule against using magic in the house he had not even considered how much help it would be in situations like this.
"Thanks a lot," he said, taking the boy's hand and climbing to his feet, "Don't suppose you know one that'll fix the binding, do you? My name's Ben, by the way. Nice to meet you."

JP smiled.
"Here, had me the book. I think i know one that will do the trick."
JP grabbed the book and turned it on it's side tapped his wand on the spine and said "Reparo".
"There you go. Good as new!"

Ben took the book back and stared at it in awe. The binding seemed more secure than he ever remembered it being, but then again, he did not remember much about the book before tonight. Who knows how long it had been in the trunk that previously belonged to his older brother.
He could not believe that such a simple spell could have fixed such damage. While up to now he had spent most of his life buried in books, learning everything he could about everything he could, it was obvious that as far as practical magic went, he was terribly behind.
He smiled at JP and said, "Whoa, thanks. That's probably pretty handy, huh? I'll have to remember that one."

"Oh yeah. I've broken books load of times. I does get kinda handy. I'm JP"

It was clear James had been doing something physical. Running mostly. Possibly causing a few explosions and things to happen, stuff to get whatever was bugging him out of his system.

Or partly out.

He burst into the dorm, pushing the door back hard enough that it CRACKED against the wall and the handle left a noticeable dent.

Jim ignored this and headed to his bed, kicked the trunk that was at the foot of it a few times until it opened in protest and pulled out a clean t-shirt.

He stripped his uniform shirt and tie off, along with the singlet he wore underneath and dropped them on the floor, ignoring the house elf that popped up and immediately scooped his discarded clothes up before disappearing with them to clean them, presumably.

He fished some jeans out of the trunk too and then headed off to the bathroom, jaw clenched.

He really didn't take all that long, never being one to waste time in the shower so it was only about 8 minutes later that James reappeared in the dorm, freshly showered, hair a little damp, clean clothes on, though he didn't bother shaving so there was a bit of scratchiness on his chin. A liiittle more relaxed.

Just a little.

He threw himself on his bed, looked one way and then the other and belatedly greeted his friends.

"Hey Finn, hey Ivan."

Ben committed the simple sounding spell to memory before giving a friendly chuckle, "That's good, I was afraid I was the only one bad enough to actually break a book."
He extended a hand for JP to shake and said, "It's really nice to meet you. Did I say my name before? Well, guess that doesn't matter. It's Ben. Er- I mean- I'm Ben. 'M a first year, how 'bout you?"

Ivan looked up as he saw James come in, leave, then come back looking at least a little happier than when he had thrown open the door. Quickly wiping the emotions off his face from the people he didn't know in the room he looked at his best friend. "Hey James. You alright bud?" Wait...Finn? His eyes went to the boy with the Prefects badge. So that must have been Finn. Hmm.

So that's who Lexi had dated. UGH...Lexi.... Stupid brain. There were some days he was pretty sure it was just sabotaging him. First it wanted to stay away from Lexi and now he couldn't help but think of her. Stupid thing. Looking back and forth between the two boys he bit back a sigh. He wanted to talk to James about what had happened but he didn't want to talk about it around other people and ESPECIALLY around Lexi's ex.

Yawnn. Now, right now he was actually feeling a bit tired. Maybe getting up so early to get that run in hadn't been the best of ideas. Finlay generally needed his sleep, and so would not be getting up so early the next day. He sat on his bed, pulling his shirt up, and over his head, dumping it into his trunk. That was when he heard the door practically smash across the wall. Finn looked up, and eyed his best friend. Hmmm. Jimmy didn't look too happy.

But when he returned, it looked like the other boy was a bit more relaxed, which was probably a good thing, as Finn didn't really want to see Jimmy breaking something. Although...he would probably let it slide. "Hey Jim." Finn nodded, as he kicked his trainers off, and sat back on the bed, leaning against the headboard.

Ahh. Ivan. That was what that other older dudes name was, and it seemed that he was Jimmy's friend. Awesome. Finn grinned, leaning forward and nodding at Ivan. "Nice to meet you Ivan."
