Whoa! Did that girl just wave at her? Jaina thought to herself. She waved back, but tried not to show too much excitement. She couldn't have her hari changing colors until she knew the girl better. She held up a lemondrop and pointed to her. Maybe she would come in and share some with her, Jaina wondered.
Maisie smiled, first years were cute cute! She pointed to herself as though to say 'for me?'

"Hehe, I've stood at the counter for like...can't even remember anymore." Jenny smiled. Yeah, if she wanted to buy owl supplies there again, she'll have to go super early. "So looking forward to eating at the Great Hall?" Jenny grinned widely; food does make a good conversation topic after all.

She then said,"But wasn't it at least a little bit terrifying when you have to get in front of all of those people staring at you?" She began to ponder if that was going to be scary. Violet then thought about what multiple people have been telling her, that everything would be fine.

Going off the knowledge that her newly prefected friend was going to be exploring the prefects compartment up front, it only made sense for Arya to explore the rest of the train in hopes of finding her other friends. She had, of course, taken a search break to rack up on candy from the trolley. Stopping to stick her luggage in a random compartment didn't help her search either, but she was in no real hurry. She had just boarded the train not to long ago.
A few long minutes had passed before she had spotted a tall familiar figure leaning against a compartment door. A familiar she assumed to be Kellen, it was a bit difficult to tell from behind, but who else looked like that? All...Stern-y.
"What makes you think his shoelaces are loose?" Sure she had grown a bit over the summer, but she was still able to sneak up behind her taller friend and press her forehead against the compartment without jarring him much, eyes looking down for loose shoelaces.

Considering Sabel was practically a tree, as far as height was concerned, Kellen was surprised he hadn't spotted the elusive Canadian earlier. Pausing only to give the fifty-thousandth glance down of the day at his badge, he trailed after the Gryffindor. Of course, of course Sabel would go all the way to the back, when the prefects' compartment was all the way at the front, but Kellen contented himself with the knowledge that his legs got all cramped anyway during long trips. This way, he'd be able to stretch them out after.
Seeing as Sabel was being a bit of a butt and leaning against the door, and as Kellen didn't want to match his buttheaded-ness by opening the door and causing his friend to fall, he turned his shoulder to the glass panel and rapped his knuckles off of it, "Oy. You've got a loose shoelace. That's a tripping hazard to other students."
He considered this, and added, "More of a tripping hazard than you are normally."

The rap on the glass right next to his ear had Sabel jumping and his eyes snapping open. There weren't many people who had a made a habit of bothering him throughout his years at Hogwarts, so it was with a grin that he turned his head slightly to glance through the glass at the other boy leaning against the compartment door.
Lifting his foot a little, he glanced back at it and then at Stern. "Ah, the threat just grants me a wider passage; people tend to avoid a walking accident." Pushing himself away from the door, he made room to open it. "That is, except for you..."
His words trailed off as his eyes caught yet another face suddenly pressed up near the glass. Blinking between Arya and Kellen, he drew the door open fully and stepped back. "You two look like a bunch of spectators at the zoo; it's kinda creepy." And there was something mightily different about Kellen since he had last seen the boy.

Nai made her way to the back off the train where she was sure it would be a gold mine for pretty older girls who would be willing to guide her in all that it took to be a teenager. First, she'd have to learn about boys and their inner workings of course because what thirteen year old even knew about them? Then she wanted to learn about the magic of High Heels. Never had she even worn one, not that she'd been interested before but her mother wanted her to be more mature and maturity came with a lot of icky things like boys and high heels.
Maybe she could get two different people to help. A boy, for the secrets to the inner workings of boys and a girl for the secrets on how to be a teenaged girl. It was a perfect plan hardly difficult, all she needed was a boy who knew things and a girl who knew more thing because girls naturally knew more things than boys. Or were teenagers different? She shrugged to herself and continued in the hallways. She didn't want to be prejudice, but it would be better for her to get Slytherins, only because they shared a common room. But who's house was smarter? Ravenclaws. They were all like geniuses or something right. But Gyrffindors were.... She stopped Just listen for older kids voices and throw your chips.

Since he didn't really care to stand in an open door, Kellen stepped into the compartment after his friend. He swore, in the slightly-more-than two weeks they'd been apart, Sabel had grown even more, "Maybe we do, but you seem to be staring a good amount also. Eyelids stop working?"

"He is hard to miss when he's being all tall and Sabel like," she responded with a grin, glancing up at Kellen as their friend opened the door for them both to enter. Not wasting any time, she twirled into the compartment and greeted her friend with a hug. Squeeeze.
"It might be creepy, but the creature we're spectating is a bit goofy looking, which requires creepy staring." Her hold on the boy loosened, and she was prepared to give Kellen a hug, because he deserved one of her hugs too, when she spotted a not-so-familiar looking girl with a COOL shirt.
"That's a cool shirt to have on," her head nodded and she gave the girl a big smile. Arya approved. "Are you new?" Arya was pretty certain she hadn't seen the girl before.

Joey sat down in a campartment alone waiting for someone to chat with before maisie and amy come in.I think its joey to be a good year she said with as smile out loud like a crazy person.
"Joey!" said Maisie as she burst into the compartment and bent down to where she was sitting and gave her a loose, but firm bear hug. As she sat down next to her she kept her arms straight and kinda on her shoulders. Then dropped them, and turned towards Joey with her feet in cross cross applesauce on the seat.

"Ooh you two are a royal hoot." Sabel muttered, unable to put his hands on his hips in a playful, disapproving gesture due to the sudden occupation of his limbs in returning the hug that Arya gave him. The response was so sudden it startled him, his thoughts stalling for memories that weren't quite so comfortable as the embrace. Clearing his throat he let Arya part, returning his glance to Kellen, eying him again.
"No, they're just working in overdrive. Some sort of superhuman power to blink rapidly ---- You're Head Boy!" He couldn't keep the startlement out of his voice or the volume that came with it. And to make sure he wasn't seeing things, he took a step closer to his friend and peered at the badge, his wide grin returning. "Well who would have ever guessed? Arya look at Kellen's spiffy--"
Once again he found himself trailing off as his eyes went from his short friend to the shirt occupant. A new face. New faces were good; hopefully she hadn't heard too much of the 'zoo' conversation. Raising one hand, he waved at the girl while poking Kellen in the chest with a brief 'you'd better fill me in' glance. "Hey!"

Naiomi paused, Hello! she didn't even have to look very hard, it was like the girl fell into her lap and she was with older guys. Naiomi grinned, happy that she hadn't listened to a word her mother said, not like she ever anyway, and wore her favourite shirt that in no way matched her adventure boots. "Thanks I got it at a thrift store. I wear it for luck." She bought it because the lady was a good saleswoman and she was hooked, line and sinker for the story about the girl that got struck by lightening. Her mother was sceptic.
No she wasn't new, she just wasn't as invisible as last year, apparently when you become a teenager, other teenagers recognise you. She'd have to write that down later. "No I'm not actually, but thats fine, you couldn't possibly know everyone could you." She gave the girl a grin "I'm Naiomi but you can call me Nai." She looked up at the two older boys. This girl was friends with them, maybe she knew all about their inner workings too. She'd ask when she got her alone because all the muggle television taught her that girls were not allowed to talk about guys in front of the guys in question.

Kellen grinned at Sabel, giving his badge another glance and a cursory readjustment, "Yeah, so mind your manners."
Some part of him felt a little left out of the hugging, but he reasoned that Arya was a strange girl and would probably only pass her strangeness on to him if they got too close at any given time. Better for her to rub it off on Sabel instead. Or something.
He sent a polite nod in Naiomi's direction, scooting further into the compartment (and consequently nudging Sabel farther back with his shoulder) to make room for everyone else, "Hello, Nai. You're... not in Ravenclaw, are you?"
Oh good lord, he wasn't going to have to memorize every single student in the school, was he? He thought he had a somewhat good grasp on the ones in his house, but past that... not so much.

Normally Arya wasn't so easily distracted. At least not by Sabel and Kellen's conversation she wasn't, but the words 'head boy' and 'Kellen' in the same sentence, coupled with Sabel's tone had the girl turning to glance at Kellen and shiny new badge on his chest. When Sabel's words were proven correct by the badge, a grin split across her face and she didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around her other newly badged friend. "You ARE Head Boy!" Who would have guessed? Certainly not her. "Congrats Kellen!"
After giving Kellen two good squeezes (one for greeting and one for his shiny), she released the boy and turned her attention back to the other girl. "Thrift stores always have the coolest things." She wasn't a frequent shopper of thrift stores, but she loved going into them to see the interesting things they sold. Always different depending on her location.
So she wasn't new to the school, just to Arya. And probably Kellen and Sabel as well. "No, I don't know everyone." She conceded with a grin matching the girls. "Nice to meet you, Nai. I'm Arya." She pointed at her green-eyed friend. "That's Sabel, and this..." She playfully poked Kellen. "...Is Head Boy Kellen." That felt weird to say, but then again he was weird.
Taking a seat, she looked at the girl when Kellen asked about her house. Which one was she in? Surely not Hufflepuff.

"Yea, i can understand that. So where do you think you would of ended up if not in Slytherin" he asked.
Draven knew deep down Tay was kind hearted but her legacy within her family probably had a lot too do with her sorting. She definitely wasnt mean or arrogant as most Slytherin's were or rumored to be. He knew that from the day they met. She continued to tell him how beautiful it was at Hogwarts and he couldnt wait to see the place.
It was still very surreal to him that he would be attending the legendary school and how awesome and interesting it was going to be. Hopefully he got along with other students. But he would continue to focus on the friends he already made with Kurumi, Ellie, Trixi, and even Tay and Amber. Even to some degree he felt Tay's former boyfriend Alex was friendly.
He looked over at her and smiled.
"I love you sweetheart".
"Oh... I really don't know!" Tay replied, leaning back and making a bit of a thinking face. "Umm... Gryffindor." she said, looking at Draven with a smile- "I don't know if i'd be quite clever enough to be in Ravenclaw. I can be a bit of a ditz sometimes. And I have the hair colour to go along with that!" she laughed, holding her hand out for his hand.
She could see by Draven's face how excited he was- she loved that, it was honestly the sweetest thing ever.
She smiled when he told her he loved her- every single time it still melted her heart- "And I love you too baby." she said, leaning forward and giving him a quick kiss. She knew there were prefects roaming about the train.
"So... where do you think we should have our wedding?" she asked him curiously- "It's definately your decision too. I mean, we could have it in Ashbourne? At my house? At my Grandparents Estate?...I know you haven't seen it there yet but I will definately be taking you there soon. But anyway, anywhere where you're happy having it, i'll be happy!" she said honestly, pulling her legs up on to the seat and resting comfortably on his shoulder.

"Ha!" Sabel gave a light jab to Kellen's shoulder. "No matter what badge you wear Stern, you'll always be first and foremost our friend." Stepping out of the way of Arya's rushing form and Kellen's shoulder nudge, he couldn't help but shake his head in slight wonder. "But yes, congratulations, Head Boy."
If there wasn't someone else in their midst, he would have insisted Kellen give them the fill of the story right then and there, but ignoring the not so new, new girl wouldn't have been polite. Slipping onto the edge of one of the seats, he gave her a warm smile and another small wave. "Hi Nai. Nice to meet you." She didn't look like any Gryffie he had ever seen, but then again last year hadn't exactly been a clear series of events in his memory.

"Ravenclaw? No I'm a Slytherin and in my very biased opinion, the best house. I mean the other houses are fine and all but come on who are we-" Her eyes ventured down to the shiny badge on his chest, Good job, you're offending the Head Boy.. who's in Ravenclaw "Anyways," She gave a big grin ah topic change "Aren't you supposed to know everyone? Doesn't Head Boy get like a list of all the students in school and their houses and all the bad things they've been known to do?" If he did she'd be making a very graceful exit right now. "But you couldn't possibly memorise all those names, unless you're that smart. Not saying you're not smart, you obviously are I mean, Head Boy." She wiggled her fingers in a celebratory manner "Yay, congratulations by the way, good luck I can help you keep an eye on a couple of kids you need to be watching," Excluding her "Can't be everywhere at once ya know." He wasn't exactly Multiply Man.. or something.
Woah word vomit. Time to shut up in front of the older kids. "What houses are you guys in?" She asked teetering back and forth, back and forth, she wasn't nervous. Nai never had time for nerves okay fine, maybe a little. Buuuuut they'd never know.
Aaand there was someone. Someone coming towards her. Waaaay too fast and waaaay too close.
Ellie didn't screech or scream, but her face bunched up, braced for an impact.
One that, thank Merlin, never came.
"Just a little." she breathed. She lifted her head to see who her almost-murderer was, to see a face that had almost matched her own. "Are you alright?" Was he...hurt? Or something?
No, he was never alright. *sniff*
He grimaced, staring at the girl's face for a moment. She was nice - quite pretty, actually. Especially, her cute nose. And that's it, no more nice thoughts for now. "No..I'm not alright. I’m broken inside, broken inside, and all I go through it leads me to you, it leads me to youuuuu." Yes, he just broke out into song in the middle of a train, actually the back of the train.
This was way too awkward. "Um, yeah. Sorry. I'm a bit sick. Train rides make me go crazy." He blurted out, scratching the back of his neck and his frown deepened. He could at least introduce himself like normal humans do, couldn't he? Yes, sir. "I'm Maxim and I think your nose is very cute." He said with a smile and extended his tattooed hand for her to shake.

If Ellie was looking for a distraction from nearing the castle, this was it. Her facial expression went from pitying someone who was not alright, to shock that someone was...caressing her? Was that it?
"Erm... maybe you should sit, yes?" She opened the door to the nearest compartment....which was surprisingly empty. Well, look at that.
Oh, his name was Maxim..that was good to know. Like FIRST, maybe. But, whatever. She took his hand and shook it. "I'm Ellie. And...my..my nose?" She released his hand and touched her nose instinctively. "Thanks?"

"FOOD?, is there a food in the school? Really!" Raven says almost shout, then he closed his mouth with his palm, "S-sorry, first in my ear to heard have food in the school" he apologized while downcast in the floor

"I'll be cheering from the Gryffindor table for you," Kurumi winked. Not much longer now before the real sorting began! Kurumi wasn't sure if she was more nervous being a spectator this time around or if she was more nervous when she had gone through it herself.

"Sure," Kurumi nodded. Although, she didn't really recommend eating one of those. It had been worse than eating the pumpkin sludge she had made in a pathetic attempt to make pumpkin juice.

"Thanks, hey, it is really have food in the great hall in the sorting day" Raven ask politely
Draven smiled as she talked about where she might have ended up. She always made the most adorable faces.
"Ladies choice" he said smiling at her.
"I want it too be perfect for you so wherever you think you will like it the most we can do. Just got to make sure my bandmates and friends get the invitations to the right place".
He still hadnt decided who his best man was going to be. If Sven were alive he would of been the obvious choice but he would have to mull over it and then decide. He knew that Sven's cousin Amber who was quickly becoming one of Tay's good friends was going to be one of her bridesmaids but he hadnt really done any real planning yet. He still needed to work on the wedding ring with his father next summer.

Kurumi couldn't help but laugh. Had she done it? Had she found someone more naive than she? "Raven, you are going to love it! After the Headmaster makes his opening speech, mountains of food just appear. Well, they don't appear out of no where really. The House Elves prepare all the food." Kurumi could taste the pumpkin juice now...
