Christopher laughed. "Yeah, I'm not much of singer either, I'm actually pretty horrible. But I play piano! Music is really important to me!"

YES! She was NOOOOO Slytherin. This was just brilliant! "Oh, he was brother to my great-grandfather...so...that would make him...great-great-uncle? I don't know," something like that, yeah. And Treyen was the closest relative to be ever proud of Gilderoy. "He was a Ravenclaw, you know," but this boy over here was more than happy to belong in the House in which both his father and grandfather had belonged to. Also, his sister. But yes, he was a happy Huffie.

"I sure hope he is," Vashti replied. Knarls couldn't use magic, could they? But what would happen if he got hold of a wand? Nothing probably... UNLESS the knarl was actually some crazy Dark Wizard in disguise who was posing as a pet knarl so he could get into Hogwarts and then take over the school and then the Ministry and then the WORLD! ...At Hogwarts, anything was possible. So... "But let's keep him away from a wand anyway, just in case." That would be a good idea.

Oh good, he didn't think she was evil either. That was a good sign, especially when she suddenly remembered those runes that Trixie Malfoy had gotten in her Ancient Runes OWL that said something about Vashti being evil. Ha, yeah right. It made for a good laugh, but it totally wasn't true ~~or was it?~~. "Thanks," she told him. "That's good to know."

"You did? Well congrats on that then," she said with a smile. Even if it was a year or two ago, she could still congratulate him, right? It wasn't like it was exclusive to the day that he'd caught it or anything. Favorite team? Hm... "Probably the Holyhead Harpies," she answered. It was the first team that came to mind. She liked most Quidditch teams, but the Harpies were especially cool.

Brother to great-grandfather? Hm, yeah, great-great-uncle sounded about right. But she wasn't all that knowledgeable about family relations and titles and all that. "That's cool," she said. "Must be interesting to have such a famous relative." Well, fairly famous anyway. He wasn't, like, Harry-Potter-famous, but he'd written several books and all that. "Oh yeah, I thought I'd read that somewhere," she answered with a nod. "But you're not a Ravenclaw?" She was quite sure he was a Hufflepuff, due to his interest in who the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain was, but it was possible that he was in some other house and was just interested in that because he knew who the other Captains were except that one. Unlikely, but possible.

He didnt mind that Tay's family was well off but he and his family always did try to help those who didnt or couldnt afford certain things. Many of the people of Ashbourne worked very hard and sometimes some of the families struggled when they came back from the seasons without making much. It was one of things that drove the Wattsfay's out of the village to begin with. But they never came back to help out in the end and that still bothered Draven.

He knew Tay and her family had not part in that but it would be nice if they could take the time to help those in need. This is why his parents really appreciated Anna and Richard's help with the shop. He continued to watch Tay and Amber smile over the sketches. He put his earbuds in and finished listening to the UKJ cover of Cat Stevens "Cats in the Cradle". It was a pretty song and always made him tear up because he knew how much his dad wanted him to be his successor and be a great man. And then he thought about Sven and his dad Hadrian listening to the lyric,

He thought of how Hadrian may have not said he loved him before Sven died and Draven's eyes began to tear up. Maybe someday Tay would be able to use her power to create a sphere for Hadrian. Just so he could say his goodbyes to Sven and Ellyn. He would really love something like that. Soon the Sanctuary cover of "White Rabbit" came on and he shook off the sadness from before and began nodding his head again.

Tay smiled at Amber- "Yeah- that would be really, really kind of you Amber! I'd love to see the material. I mean- it has to be special- but i'm sure that i'll find something perfect with your help." she said with a big smile. "And for that skirt- I'm gonna need a lot of it!" she giggled- Suddenly she heard her phone go off- she found it in her bag and answered the call.

"Hey... Oh, hello sweetie. How are you?...Oh that's good! Yeah, i'm going to school... Yeah... I know, it's... But, you can still do your magic! Uh-huh... Oh you can show me that when I see you at Christmas!... Yeah, I do... You'll meet him too! I promise... Okay... Bye honey. You too!.. Hey Auntie Julia- Yeah, she does.... has she been getting help with that? Oh, that's good... Oh, it's alright... I... I really think she's making progress... Yeah, I will... yeah, he is... Okay, Okay- bye!" she clicked off the call and put away her phone, wiping a tear from her cheek.

"My... youngest cousin... she... she's got this... disease, I don't really know what it is... she's had it since she was a baby- like she's just not well. I have to look after her sometimes, but she was feeling pretty bad this summer, you would have met her otherwise." Tay said, nodding her head slightly and smiling.

"Eughh, i'm so pathetic!" she laughed, wiping away her tears and laughing at herself. She leant against Draven and sighed.

"I know, but at least he turns about better in the Disney movie than in the book. That was pretty horrible in the book. If you haven't read it I have a copy in my trunk. Victor Hugo is my favorite author. I'd be more than happy to lend it to you." Selina was really enjoying their conversation. Christopher was very easy to talk to. She could tell they were going to be good friends. Although Violet seemed to be fascinated by him.

Violet, being pureblood, knew very little about Muggle culture. But she had previously expressed to Selina that she wanted to know as much as she could. Read as much as she could. And experience as much as she could. Besides from what she could tell Violet and Christopher got on quite well.

Turning to Christopher she returned, "That's good. We can be terrible together." Then she heard piano. Her heart stopped, her Dad played piano. Hogwarts was going to be hard without him.

"I love the piano. My Dad plays. I play the flute. Well I did at least. I stopped a few months ago for Quidditch."

"Even quirkier," he laughed. "You know it really isn't about being a good pet. Eino's been in Finland all summer and he had to study Herbology and Potions so he grew it, and he's really proud of it. So... Be easy on him," he said. He had never seen Eino sad or hurt, but he was really proud of the thing so Hugo could see him not liking Adam's anti-cactus-thing. Dahh, when were they going to be at Hogwarts? Hugo wanted out of this train thing.

Tay answered her phone and was talking with someone. Then she finally got off the phone and started talking about a younger cousin who had a disease and wasnt doing well. Tay hadnt told him about this cousin but there had been a lot going on so it didnt surprise him. He gave Tay a kiss and put his arm around her.

"I hope she will be ok Tay" he said to her.

Suddenly, another boy opened the door and asked if he could sit with them. He was a nerdy looking fellow and he could see the look on Amber's face as the only place available was next to her. She shot him a look like "no no" but Draven was going to be cruel.

"Sure mate! Have a seat! Thats our friend Amber, and im Draven and this is my fiance Taylor" he said to the boy.

Amber shot Draven a narrow eyed scowl before looking over at Tay for re-enforcement help. The boy sat down next to Amber and introduced himself.

"Uh hi, im Reginold. You can just call me Reggie though" he said.

"So wow, you guys are engaged huh? How old are you two? You look young yet" he asked them.

Jacob walked through the train, with his new broom in one hand, and a backpack full of captainness on his back. His badge sat in his pocket, and it wasn't going to come out for a while. At least not until he got to the common room, or until someone did something that called for authority.

He took himself down the back of the train looking for people he knew or someone to talk to... another reason why he didn't want to wear the badge yet. Mpost likeley people would be asking him questions about quidditch and try-outs and what not. He didn't want to be bothered with that yet. though he was finally able to accept the fact that he really was captain

How was Hugo ever going to be better than Edmond? "Yes, well in general one finds a lieing person not so trustworthy," Hugo said to keep the distraction from his thoughts. He could- Could he? Now that would be awesome. "I would be delighted," Hugo told him smiling brightly. That was nice of Adam- but if Kurumi agreed? Hugo had baked once before. And he liked it, though he liked being creative more with stuff that didn't have to go into the oven for a couple hours. "Yes, they were merely points of interest," Hugo laughed. Strangely enough they were both about girls, but only one girl seemed to be his real point of interest. Hugo stood up. "I'm going to get a chocolate frog, can I get you anything of the trolley?" he asked his friend Adam.

Jacqueline walked to the back of the train. A new term..It was unreal. Time has just flown,she remembered her getting in the train for the firts time. And know she is a bit older and the feeling was way different. It seemed so strange,so uncofortable but again,when she saw all those happy faces around her, it was just inpossible to stay in a bad mood. She was looking around,trying to find someone that she knows already. She pulled her her up,took her coat off still looking for someone.

Selina ran out of the compartment she was in to find the loo. Drinking all of that pumpkin juice this morning was not her brightest idea. As she brushed a stray hair of her auburn hair out of the way she did not see the older boy in front of her.

And in a moment of complete awkwardness she bumped into him. Hopefully not that hard. Looking up at the taller boy she began her array of apologies. Lately Selina had been running into people quite often so she was prepared to give this boy the most well rehearsed apology he would ever hear.

"I am so sorry. I really didn't mean to run into you like that. Lately I've been really clumsy and such," she stopped halfway through her apology and sighed, "You don't care about my apology. Right. I'm Selina Skylar, first year. I really am sorry about that."

Kurumi looked over at Adam and Hugo who were deep in guy conversation, best not to go sticking her nose there. Just then, she noticed another boy enter their already rather crowded compartment. Walnut, her munkin cat, raised his fluffy head and jumped off her lap to waddle over to this new person and sniff his shoe. What was it with her at and sniffing people? Kurumi got off her seat and went to scoop her cat up. "S-S-S-Sorry," she stuttered looking down at Walnut who looked up at her and the other boy as if offended that she had interrupted his sniffing.

Turning to Christopher she returned, "That's good. We can be terrible together." Then she heard piano. Her heart stopped, her Dad played piano. Hogwarts was going to be hard without him.

"I love the piano. My Dad plays. I play the flute. Well I did at least. I stopped a few months ago for Quidditch."

Christopher smiled. "Thanks! I've never read anything by Victor Hugo, so thanks!" Selina was fun to talk to. He could really relate to her. "I look forward to our horrible singing. Your dad seems like a cool guy. I like the flute, too bad you don't play anymore." He laughed. He was glad he sat in her compartment.
