She took a handful of jellybeans, picking out the red and pink ones and putting them into a different bag. "Want?" she asked before she slid each jellybean into her mouth. Sugar...

"It was... alright... actually, it was one of the worst summers of my life," Selena said, smiling a bit meekly at that. She had hated hers with a passion. One week of fun and the rest was kept under a close eye.

Katie sighed as she watched Sel put all the pinks and reds in anoter bag, BUUUT THOSE ARE THE GOOD ONES! o__O "I'll have the pink and red if you want" Katie giggled.

"Why?"
Katie asked, was Sellie unhappy? Cause if so Katie will need to cheer her summer up! ^_^

Since he's not here, and seeing as I just met you both, I could show you if you wanted."

Simon shook Benjamin's hand and down in the seat across from him. "That's a cool name." from what he knew, it was the name of God, right? The shopkeeper did that? Hm, they didn't do that to him back home, maybe every store was different. "Sure." Simon nodded his head at Benjamin.

Then Jenny realized she hadn't asked Raven about his past at all. Hm...but he did discuss his history with Kurumi, so it would be weird asking him to repeat it. "So you're from a Muggle family?" she asked. Best if she told him about her background, too. "I'm half and half; Father is a Muggle, and Mother is a witch."

"wow, jackpot" he think "So you're like Kurumi --her Father's a Wizard, and you are being friend a year back then" Raven says

Then, checking his watch, he figured it wouldn't hurt to chat with this young lady for a few more minutes.

"So, you're a firstie, I suppose?"

"Is it that obvious?" Selina asked. She sure hoped that she didn't. The last thing she wanted an older student to think of her was that she was some lost first year. The drama that came with title was not that which she wanted.

Evan grinned. Yes, it was quite obvious when there were a good 30 centimetres between them. And it was also obvious when she asked how long would it take, not to mention her approach with holding her wand like that. But no, he didn't tell any of these. Running a hand through his hair, he only said "Let's say, instinct." Experience of five years at Hogwarts. Hehe.

"You excited for your first term? Which house do you want?" Slytherin, of course, because it's the best.

Selena looked at pink and red mess and wrinkled her nose. "You can have them, they taste weird," she said. She never did like those, they were reds. Selena didn't like red. Nu-uh. She continued popping other jelly beans into her mouth, separating the reds and pinks from the yummy colors.

"My mother didn't want me coming back to Hogwarts," Selena admitted. It was horrible, yes, and it had killed her summer. "I was supposed to spend the whole vacation away from her but she only allowed me to spend one week with my cousin and the rest of it was spent at the manor," Selena huffed. Besides the occasional sneaking out that is.

Benjamin took off his suit coat and laid it nicely folded on his seat as he stood up. He went over to the door window and closed that blind, then went to the window and shut it halfway so there was still some light in the compartment. He loosed his gren and black silk tie and unbuttoned his dress shirt and took it off, laying it nicely on his coat. once he had stripped his top off, he felt a little awkward showing the runes that covered his entire body. "Well, I am not so sure that you can call them nice since I am not convinced that they are doing it on their own free will," Kurumi frowned as she continued to scratch Walnut who had now rolled onto his belly. "House Elves serve wizards and witches, and must do everything that their masters command unless they are freed. A House-Elf can only be freed when his master gives him a piece of clothing such as a sock or hat." Kurumi paused for a moment. "Wizards have put them under themselves, but they have more powerful magic. I've seen the Hogwarts House Elves Apparating in and out of the kitchen. Evan only grinned more at her meaningful thanks. Apparently, she didn't like to be a first year, and moreover, she didn't like it to be known. But there was nothing she could do, really. She was still going up to that podium and be sorted into Slytherin, hopefully, and everyone would see her. Never mind the height difference and her sliiiight fear.

"C'mon now, it is obvious, don't you think, with the height difference and... stuff?" he tried his chance to make her feel good about it as he practically looked down on her. He leaned on the door and checked his watch again. It would be a shame to leave this displeasured firstie here. A few more minutes, maybe?

Ack. Gryffindor. He didn't even try to hide his disgust and disappointment. "See, you'd fit much better into Slytherin," he whispered with a serious nod. Let even her pets come from Gryffindor, why couldn't she be a Slytherin? He motioned his hands suggestively. "I guess you're right but we still have to take them somewhat seriously though, yeah?"

Mia laughed at the look on Simon's face. She got that look a lot when she mentioned to people how much of the magical world she didn't know about. "I live with muggles." She explained and shrugged her shoulders. "I only came to Hogwarts last year. I thought I would see a game at school but of course the TWT was on and there was no quidditch." Of course she didn't regret that there had been no quidditch because then she wouldn't have met Nik and that would have been a tragedy in itself.

"Well obviously someone thought you were good." She remarked with a small smile. One of these days she might actually be good at something too. "So what do you want to do when you graduate from Hogwarts?" Mia was often curious as to what her fellow students plans were after school.

Simon gave a look of understanding as Mia answered his question with her story as to why she had in fact never seen a game. "Well that would explain that," he replied with a slight nod. "You should certainly come watch a game or two this year then. It usually doesn't disappoint as a source of fun or entertainment, especially if the snitch is particular elusive."

Deciding to get more comfortable as their journey took off, the boy leaned his arm against the windowsill, relaxing a bit. "It would appear so," he answered in slight agreement returning her small smile.

He leaned his head on his hand at her question having been also thinking of that situation as well. After all OWL's and NEWTS were all about future plans."I'm not absolutely certain but I've considered following my older brother into law enforcement. What about you? Any ideas?" he answered before turning the tables on her since the conversation had drifted mostly towards him.

She could see the disgust in his response to her house of preference. Honestly she did not mean to offend. It's just that all of her family had been in that very house. To be there in the same house as her family would be a great honor.

"Hey do you know if first years can try out for Quidditch?"

Evan nodded. "Slytherin is your place, trust me." It would be such a shame if she ended up someone like Joshua Carter, for example, though he highly doubted anyone could be so horrible and disgusting like him. Or she could be like Carter. The only good Gryffindor he knew was Sophie, the rest was crazy, and he wouldn't like to see her in that craziness. He'd really liked her, and would very much like to be her prefect.

"Yeah, as long as it's not--" he cut off at the mid-sentence. Being a prefect, he shouldn't talk badly about the houses. Nope, he shouldn't say Hufflepuff is... puff, for example, or he shouldn't say Gryffindorks are crazy... Riiight. "Every house has its own... uniqueness," he managed to say. "But everyone knows Slytherin is the best, having won the house cup for the last two years and such..." Hehehe. He winked at her with a grin, hoping and knowing that would impress her.

Thinking for a brief second, he said "I think so..." To be honest, he didn't know and he didn't care. He had been to a match for only once, and that was only for Mina. Though, he did remember Aaron boasting being in the team for five years or something... In his opinion, every student should be banned from playing that stupid sport. It was violent and too dangerous.

"I'll ask that to someone and tell you, okay?" Ask to whom, though? Ugh, Merlin no. He'd have to find Aaron, probably snogging Iris somewhere.

Joy.

Benjamin stopped and turned to Simon. He looked a bit perplexed, and said, "I have no reason why he did it. And I can't read runes, so I have no idea why he did it, really. Benjamin shrugged and put his dress shirt on, tucked it in, and tightened up his tie, then put on his coat and sat down back down.

He whistled a little tune and held out his arm and zeus jumped down from his perch on the top rackand onto Benjamins arm. Benjamin pet him softly and said, "Zeus. The god of all gods. The thunderbolt king. You've hardly eaten, my friend. Perhaps you would like a nice dead mouse? Huh? Ok, here comes one." Benjamin reached into the owl food bag under his seat, and grabbed a mouse and lifted it up to the owls beak and threw the mouse towards the door. Zeus immediately took flight and snatched the rodent up and flew back to the top rack and ate the mouse. Benjamin laughed and clapped his hands.

"Such a good boy, Zeus!"

Benjamin looked at Simon and laughed about his owl's deed.

"Fastest owl I've ever seen to snatch food like that. What about you?"

Simon wondered how Benjamin's dad knew how to do that. "It must have been good magic because it didn't hurt you." he commented. Maybe they should research those runes when they got to the school.

The boy smirked when he heard Benjamin talk to his owl. So he was right. The bird was named after a God. "That's a really cool name." now it also reminded him of something, "Hey you have thunder bolts on your body and Zeus is the God of thunder, isn't that awesome." really, it was.

O__O

Simon's eyes widened when he saw Zeus catch the dead mouse. He then gulped and was grateful that his pet ferret was still sleeping inside his trouser pocket. Does Zeus eat ferrets too, Simon hoped he didn't.

"It's quite the fastest I've seen." he nodded. His dad's owl was just as fast, but he couldn't have him, instead he had an owl that bit him every time he saw Simon. "Since when have you had Zeus." they seemed pretty close.

"Oh, I've only had him a few days, but I'm an extremely avid animal and creature lover and researcher. I stayed up the first night and next day with him just so I could get to know him alot better than most owners know their owls. I learned that he goes out early to hunt, comes back fairly late, and if he's he's around, you just whistle a little tune and he comes back like a light turning on. Our manor was updated with electricity before we bought it. My father's old fashioned and only uses candles, fireplaces, and lumos to see at night. I'm going to miss my room once at Hogwarts. a big, drafty old castle with no electricity. I guess it gets better once time passes. Right?"
