The hug was rather nice, despite it being from Weirdo Fry-in-Shake Dipper. The squeezes were just straight-up weird. Arya being Arya, he supposed, “Thanks. I’m honestly not completely sure what Tate was thinking, but there you have it.”

One thing was for sure; it felt strange as all get-out for someone to be using Head Boy before his name. It was a title. He had a title. To distract himself from this rather intimidating thought, he hogged a window seat and the space beside it.

Kellen had to laugh at Nai’s favouritism. “Nothing wrong with a little house pride. Misplaced as it may be,” the grin he sent her indicated he was joking. His stomach twisted more than a little at her suggestion of what his job involved, but he was comforted a little by the fact that a list of names hadn’t come with the badge. Unless, of course, Tate was planning on whapping him over the head with it when he came through the front doors of the school.

“I don’t think I’m so much supposed to keep tabs on old troublemakers as just make sure things are running smoothly in the halls…” Though he would be keeping a wary eye on a certain HuffleJock. That was a given, in his books, “So. No snogging in the halls, or I get to jinx your lips off.”

Another smile was sent Nai’s way, as he pointed first to himself, then Arya, then Sabel, “Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor. Have a seat; complete our house representation.”

A playful grin spread across her face. "And just to give you some sense of normality, I'll pretend as if the badge isn't even there."

She lightly shrugged her head at Kellen's statement. "Yeah well, Tate's a bit of a nutter." The headmaster had to be in her opinion, couldn't hold that position and not be. "But it wasn't a terrible pick, I'm sure you'll do fine." His choice in Kellen as head boy wasn't that nuts. Even if the boy was weird.

"Very misplaced in my opinion," she jested with a wide grin. "Hufflepuff is where its at." Very VERY biased she was. Arya could only giggle at Nai's mention of lists to Kellen. Somehow that seemed a bit much even for head boy. She giggled again at his mention of jinxing lips off, but made no comment.

He didn't have to worry about her doing any snogging. She was pretty sure he didn't have to worry about any of that from Sabel either given what he had expressed to her last term. Her eyes drifted to her friend, surprisingly a bit comforted by that knowledge.

To complete the circle of introductions, she first pointed at herself then the boys. "I'm a fourth year, they're both seventh years." Taking notice to the fact that Nai was the only one left standing, she nodded her head in agreement with Kellen. No need for the girl to be standing, it was a LONG train ride.

She smiled at them and quickly took the empty seat. "I feel like I'm in a fellowship." She joked, did everyone know what she was talking about Probably not "You see there's this muggle movie where a creature.. well they're not creatures they're people well you know, anyway they're each from a different race and that's kinda what we are right now. Each from a different.... race.. okay," She nodded, more word vomit great "So are you guys bummed it's your last year?" She addressed the boys. Next would be Arya, answering questions about how she even became friends with other boys.

He slid his hands into his pockets and rocked back and forth on his feet as Satine talked to the little kid that had also run into him. He leaned against a compartment door, just barely catching the look Satine gave him. He chuckled, smiling down at the floor.

When she mentioned another compartment, he looked up to see the one she was pointing at. He started toward the door, but stopped when she mentioned being overwhelmed by newbies. He bit his lip as he opened the door, holding it for Satine and the boy if he wanted to join them. "You do realize that I'm a newbie, right?" He couldn't help himself; he had to point that out. He knew that Satine meant first years... but still. He smiled a bit, though. Hopefully she'd know he wasn't offended or anything.

Satine smiled at Dal and then raised both her shoulders in a slight shrug, "Well I guess I can force myself to hang out with a fourthie...I mean only if that fourthie can force himself to hang out with a sixthi..." she said with a little giggle at the end.

After speaking with the firstie, she turned back at Dal with a wink and then headed towards the door of the compartment. She slid it back and looked inside to make sure...well...I guess to make sure no one was going to jump out at themm...she just had an odd feeling that someone would at that moment...stupid and paranoid...yes...she giggle to herself and turned around as she said, "Looks clear and empty in..." but her words trailed off as Dal stopped and pointed out that he was a newbie.

She could feel her cheeks turning a slight shade of pink and instantly she knew that her eyes were slowly turning from their bright purple to a light purple/pinkish color. "O...no...I mean..." she stumbled over her words hoping she didn't hurt his feelings... "I meant firstie newbies...not like newbies to the school..." her face was a blank canvas.
She forced a smile on her face, "But like I said I mean it's only if a TOTALLY AWESOME fourthie transfer, not newbie, wants to hang out with a..." she paused searching for the words and caught a slight glimpse or her irses in the reflection of the compartment door, "pink eyed embarrassed sixthie." she said closing her eyes and focusiing on getting them back to her signature color as she motioned with her right hand into the compartment with a slight bow like a waiter.

From a distance, he was sure Kellen was hard to peg as a responsible student, but being his friend he knew the boy's personality was quite the opposite, even if he was too aloof to admit it.

The mention of the jinx had Sabel tilting his head at the boy while attempting to avoid any eye contact with Arya as best as he could. Though they had worked things out and returned to the same page, the knowledge that she knew what he felt still had the affect of making things slightly awkward. Still, there was some amusement in the possibilities of Kellen's new rule and it was enough to provide a distraction from some of the memories of the previous year. "Guess Lexi's gonna need a new pair then." Because goodness knew how much she filled the halls with snogging before.

Resting his head back against the seat, he turned his attention to Nai and gave her another smile. She had already been welcomed to stay by Kellen, so he didn't see a need to repeat the offer. The more the merrier. And she seemed like a good, sensible girl. A pity then that she wasn't in any of their houses, but with Raiden graduated they were lacking in a Slytherin representative. "Don't worry, we're only as crazy as we sound."

“Says the nonsensical nutter,” Kellen grinned at Sabel. He glanced down at his badge, then back up at Arya, “You’ve gone and hurt its feelings, I think. It’ll have to go hang out with Myrtle in her toilet.” Only not, because he was going to make sure the thing rarely (if ever) left his side.

But his house needed defending, and he cleared his throat, “Depends what the ‘it’ is. Oh, sure, Hufflepuff has its Triwizard Champions and its happy-go-lucky weirdos, but Ravenclaw has something even better.” A wink was sent to Sabel, “A collection of the finest Cholunas the world has ever known.”

A shudder started to pass over him at the mention of Lexi, but he stopped himself. With a lofty tone to his voice, he informed all present, “I will have you know that I’ve made a New School-Year’s Resolution to be a lot more tolerant of the mentally off-kilter people of the world, and that includes Lexi and Fletcher.” And yes, said resolution had been helped along by the acquisition of one head boy badge.

Fellowship. As soon as he heard the word, Kellen felt a mental twitch go through his head. No. No, surely not. But as she continued to describe what could only be Lord of the Rings, he performed a shoving leap and clapped one hand over Sabel’s mouth and the other over Arya’s, “Never heard of it before. And we definitely do not reference it every chance we get. New topic? Yes. Bummed? A little I guess, but there’s a big world out there waiting for us, right Sabel? A nod will do.”

Dallin kept back a smile as she got all flustered. He knew he shouldn't find it funny... but it was cute, really. She must be a really nice person if that made her feel bad.

"Hey," he said brightly, nudging her arm as he went into the compartment. "I was joking." He gave her a half-smile. "I know what you meant. And you didn't hurt my feelings or anything. I'm tougher than I look." He went straight to a seat and sat down, stretching his feet out.

He looked at her for a second. Did he really embarrass her like that? He frowned. "Sorry about that. I speak before I think, some times. Really, don't worry about it. I know I'm totally awesome." Yep, there was his signature ego that no one really liked. But hopefully Satine would get the point. "You are too. And pink eyes aren't that bad." 'Kay Dal, you can shut up now.

His laugh to Kellen's words were complimented by an abrupt choke and sputtering cough at the mention of Choluna. Frowning, he shot Kellen a side-ways glare as he attempted to get his breathing back in order. "Oh you will make a fine Head Boy indeed."

But his indignation wasn't given much time to be alive as there was a suddenly very familiar mention of a topic that he had been forbidden to speak of for too long. If he could have held the form of a puppy, his ears surely would have pricked up and his tail would have started wagging. As it was his eyes could only get wide and his mouth open, only for Kellen's hand to clamp over it and muffle the very excited words that attempted to get out. Well, they still worked on getting out, but sounded like a jumble of excited noises rather than nonsense.

Struggling with prying Kellen's hand off his face (the boy had gained some muscle from all their outdoor activities over the summer, something he was somewhat regretting currently), he sincerely hoped Nai was good at reading facial expressions. Or wagging fingers attempting to point at inanimate words. At least he had never possessed any grace to tarnish at this moment.

Benjamin, not feeling very welcome, and the compartment getting full, he decided to move to another compartment. Zues was already in his cage, so he grabbed his trunk, and his owl, he went further back onto the train. He opened the sliding door, and moved out into the hall to find another empty or scarcely occupied compartment.

He found an empty compartment at the very back of the train. he slid the door open, pushed his trunk into the closet. He let zues loose in the empty compartment and laid back on the cushion and he placed the owl pellets on the floor and sat back against the window and peered out. He saw all of the parents and what-not on the platform waving at the children and his heart turned a litttle more into stone, since his father wasn't there.

He waited for someone to come to the compartment and he could tell them to sit or go.

When she thought she saw Birt in a compartment, she hurried to open the door, "Brit!" she said enthuastically and ran inside, only to run into a rather large person. The impact caused the tiny second year to fall flat on her tail. "ow" she muttered looking up at the person.

Even though being prefectness meant exactly that right now, that people's trust and all that jazz, he had to attend to that meeting, and be there on time. So he only wanted to come to his concluding remarks where he would ask a favour from her, when he felt something hit him. Turning, he was even more surprised to see a girl lying on the floor. He hadn't really felt that much effect, but the poor girl was clearly winded by the impact. Looking down like that, he could see why: he was strongly 1.80 tall, and she was just... a second year, since she was Brittany's friend.

"You alright?" he asked as he rubbed his back out of habit. Though he didn't bend down to help her, Brittany was already doing that. Then, noticing the door was open, he went over to close it, if no one else was coming, that is.

He saw a little girl coming towards him, and halted for her at the door as she seemed to have something to tell him. Why was she... holding onto her wand? He wasn't scary at all. Sure, he was quite tall compared to her, but with that badge on, he should be the person she came up for help. Putting all his curiosity aside though, he smiled at the girl calmingly as she came.

"Evan Cartwright, Slytherin prefect," he greeted the little red-head, although that last part was totally unnecessary since his badge was quite seeable. He mentioned it nevertheless, for her to calm down and drop that wand hopefully before someone got injured.

"Of course."

As he pulled his trunk along with him he looked in each compartment to see if there were any empty ones so he can get his peace and quiet, but they seemed to already have been claimed.

At last, when he thought he'd found an empty compartment he was wrong. There was a boy sitting there...alone. Hm, would he mind if Simon sat in there? Only one way to find out. "Hey, man, is it okay if I sit there?" he asked, pointing at the empty seat in front of the guy.

"A sensible nutter is still a nutter," she she quipped with a grin. "But I like him nutty, so it all works out." Her eyes flicked to Kellen briefly before returning to Sabel. "He's more of a nutter than the headmaster, but your right, the nutters have to stick together."

"At least it'll be in good company, and if you stay too that will make it a party." She was almost positive he would be sticking with the badge...all the prefects and heads stuck with their badges like glue.

She bit back a laugh as Kellen defended his house, and she moved to add to his list. "We're also awesome in Quidditch." The girl beamed. Treyen and Aaron would be so proud of her for mentioning that.

"Choluna?" Why did that name sound familiar? She was sure she had met this person at sometime or another. Hm. The mention of Fletcher and Lexi had her even more puzzled. "Fletcher? What do you have against him....and Lexi?" She didn't know about the incidents that included those two because she had never been around at the time. And Arya never talked fights and kisses with the two boys. So out of the loop she was.

Her attention was diverted, however, at the mention of Lord of The Rings, and her eyes lit up, darting over to Nai. But before she could even get a word out, Kellen had silenced her and Sabel both. Unlike her friend, she hadn't gained any muscle from her summer adventures, only height, so her attempts to pry his hand off her face were useless. So she did the next best thing and poked him continuously in the ribs with one hand.

Poke poke POKE.

Selena skipped to the back looking around for Katie. Kent stayed on top of her head as she skipped. Lalala... where was Katieee? SHE NEEDED TO FIND KATIE! Because well, Katie was Katie. Hehehe. She had had too much sugar and probably wasn't in her right mind but she really needed to find her fake sister. Katie, Katie, Katieee. Where you be hiding? Selena continued to skip through peeking in the compartments.

At last, when he thought he'd found an empty compartment he was wrong. There was a boy sitting there...alone. Hm, would he mind if Simon sat in there? Only one way to find out. "Hey, man, is it okay if I sit there?" he asked, pointing at the empty seat in front of the guy.

Christopher walked through the corridor, and turned abruptly when he saw two boys sitting in a compartment. Maybe he could join them. They looked about his age. He shrugged, and opened the door, holding his trunk and owl in the other hand. "Erm.... do you mind if I join you?" He nodded at an open seat, holding the door with his foot.

"Of course there's food in the school! Like after the sorting ceremony, the headmaster will make a huge speech and then tons of food will appear out of nowhere! More delicious food than you can imagine!" Jenny was also aware of another thing...was this kid not aware that he'll be living at school for the majority of the year?

"Yay, free food all over the opening or it is free all over the year, either way its food", *Raven most loves to do was eating*

SPOILER!!: Kellen, Sabel & Nai

Nai looked at all three with wide eyes and a big smile came to her face, she was almost as excited as the other two "Sabel I'm good at charades." She griggled and moved to the end of the seat "Okay so I'm guessing you both know exactly what I'm talking about," She gave the Head Boy a scolding look "You guys are totally into the Fellowship of the ring aren't you?" Time to torture them a little but "I love Legolas aim! It is so on point and crazy good! Have you guys watched all three?" No answer? Oh well "I love the fight scene, oh what am I talking about, theres always a fight scene but I'm talking about the last one, I think. Where Legolas climbs the giant elephant and totally takes it down with like three arrows to the head!" She gave an excited giggled.

"And when they were in the mines! And the big demon thingy! And Gandalfs line was epic," She puffed up her chest "You shall not pass!" She said in a deep voice and pouty lips "Awesome right?" Still no answer, she loved this! "The elfs were the best, my absolute favourite, which was yours?" Ah still not answer "You guys are horrible at conversation you know that." She grinned at Kellen.

Selena continued to skip through peeking in the compartments.

"It's free throughout the year...can't go to class and live at Hogwarts if you're starving every single day. That wouldn't be good." Jenny nodded. No one can even live past three weeks without food, even if they're in the wizarding world or not.

Then Jenny realized she hadn't asked Raven about his past at all. Hm...but he did discuss his history with Kurumi, so it would be weird asking him to repeat it. "So you're from a Muggle family?" she asked. Best if she told him about her background, too. "I'm half and half; Father is a Muggle, and Mother is a witch."

He smiled politley before adressing the second boy, starting to feel awkward in the doorway. "Is it alright with you if I sit here?"

Selena jumped a bit, along with the pygmy puff on her head, when she heard someone call her name. She stopped skipping and turned around to see Katie. "KATIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Selena squealed, holding out the last syllable longer than it was needed and skipped over to her fake sis. "HAAAIII!" she said, beaming, hugging the younger and taller girl.

"How was your summer?" she asked as she giggled. She was blaming the sugar for it all.

"Umm, yeah it's fine with me. For both of you.I hope you don't mind that my owl is loose. He looked like he needed some space after being trapped in that awful cage for so long."

Benjamin scooted closer to the window, but not looking out any longer. He eyed his two new stowaways and said, " Hello. I'm Bejamin Trevors. First year Slytherin. I didn't catch either of your names? Sorry. I wasn't paying very much attention when you mentioned them."

"Nice to meet you as well." Simon said to Christopher. He seemed about his age.

Phew, he wasn't going to be kicked out. "I'm Simon Macalister." he introduced himself. "It's alright," Simon said, staring at the owl. His parents hadn't allowed his to bring him, saying that they'll send the bird when he was at Hogwarts. "What's it's name?" he asked.

She smiled and nodded. "I don't plan on standing forever y'know," she said as she walked in and flopped onto the seat. Mmmmmhmmm. She opened her bag, breaking out the sugar. She took a handful of jellybeans, picking out the red and pink ones and putting them into a different bag. "Want?" she asked before she slid each jellybean into her mouth. Sugar...

"It was... alright... actually, it was one of the worst summers of my life," Selena said, smiling a bit meekly at that. She had hated hers with a passion. One week of fun and the rest was kept under a close eye.

"Oh, yeah, his name's Zeus. He's an eagle owl. i had to trick my father to go get him while I was getting a wand. The wand shopkeeper wouldn't take my measurements without showing him something first, on my body. It's a strange anomoly, that my father did to me when i got my Hogwarts letter. Since he's not here, and seeing as I just met you both, I could show you if you wanted."

"Hi, how have you been?" he asked, before giving a small wave to the other person she was talking to. "I hope I'm not intruding?" he asked rather than stated.

Selina was mid-conversation when she heard the sound of a familiar voice. Looking up her blue eyes met the brown of Demitri. Her face broke out into a small and said, "No, of course not. Take a seat."

She was so glad to see him. Secretly she had been wondering where he had been the entire ride. She had seen everyone else, but him. And now he was standing in the doorway, so it looked like she found him.

"So how was the rest of your summer? I mean besides the times I was with you?"
