Simon's mind had wandered a little, thinking about the upcomming school year but he was drawn out of his thoughts by the metal of the compartment door as the girl grabbed hold to the door handle. The boy turned to look to what had caused it frowning as he noticed the newcomer and the position she was found in clearly expressing at least part of what had happened.

"Are you alright?" he asked a little concerned, getting back up to his feet and moving closer. His hand slightly outstretched to offer assistance if it was needed but not forcing it upon her.

That's when he heard her name, and like Tiberius she had a name he's never heard before, "Vashti? It's very nice to meet you," he smiled, and gave her a single nod. "Excited about Hogwarts?" because Quidditch was back, you know?
Thaddeus? "That's a nice name." It was different, certainly, but a good kind of different. Like her name, she supposed, though sometimes she didn't like her name. And thank goodness she'd gotten the gender right. She doubted any creature named Thaddeus would appreciate being called a girl. Not that the knarl would have understood her if she had...or would he?

Obviously she'd have to read her CoMC textbooks more.

That name...didn't sound familiar at all, which made her a little frustrated with herself. She was supposed to be a Ravenclaw and a history lover, and yet she couldn't remember something like that? Merlin. She'd have to read her History of Magic books more too. But Vashti wasn't going to admit that she didn't know about Thaddeus Thurkell, so she said, "Oh yeah, I've heard of him."

She watched the little knarl as he was set down on the seat and noticed how he appeared to think something was going to pounce down and attack him or something. Was he supposed to do that? Treyen didn't seem too concerned about it though, so perhaps it was normal behavior for a knarl.

"Likewise," Vashti replied, returning the smile. But next came the question she wasn't sure she could give a truthful answer to. Because really she wasn't all that happy to be going back to Hogwarts, but she really didn't want to tell any of her fellow classmates that. Suddenly, though, she remembered Quidditch and how Jacob was the new Captain, and that was all worth being excited over, even if nothing else was, right? "Defintely," she answered. "I'm really excited for Quidditch especially."

This was another one of those amusing situations, Mia managed to find herself in. Who else would find themselves hanging off a door on a train? She looked up at the guy, whose peace and quiet she most likely disturbed and let out a small laugh. "Yeah I'm okay."

And she had no problems in asking for help either, so she let go of the door handle with one hand and took his, hauling herself to her feet. She let go of his hand and brushed off her knees. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I'm a little clumsy at times."

Okay most of the time.

Candy? What did he have in there, chocolate frogs? Walnut wasn't so sure he wanted to relive the catnapping incident of Diagon Alley again, but he bet his whiskers that those were no chocolate frogs making that bag move. Walnut sniffed the air and stood up. Something smelled fishy. He was about to make his first attempt at jumping up when...

"Walnut, you come here," Kurumi scolded picking her cat up and setting him promptly on her lap. "Remember, if you misbehave I am putting you back in your cage in the storage car," she warned him "Sorry, Adam. Walnut has been exceptionally curious recently."

He left the compartment quickly and went to the storage room, where Tigger Burn was hidden in the corner of his cage- spazzing out from his fraidyness.

Not wishing to get caught, or at least seen, Adam stuffed Tigger into his jacket and zipped it up...He returned back to the seating area and unzipped his jacket, revealing a little furry brownish orangeish cat.

"Walnut meet Tigger Burn "Adam announced.

"So, I've heard the house elves at Hogwarts are quite skilled with their cooking abilities. That's a plus." One hand slid into the pocket of his dark jeans and his fingers swept over a coin or two.

Seuss? Elliott wracked his brain, trying to recall the name. He was well-read, as dorky as that was, so he knew a decent amount of authors, but he just couldn't say he knew him. "I don't think I'm familiar with Seuss' work.." He gave a sheepish smile.

His sight landed upon her trunk. "Not at all," he answered, standing back up again. He grabbed the luggage by the bottom and the top handle and lifted it up to the storage area just above her head. "A few perks to being tall," he admitted while he resumed his seat once again.

Oh, she had? That's amazing. Most people didn't. His sister eyed him funny when he explained, apparently 'Thaddeus' didn't seem to be a name suited for a pet. Little did he care.

"Amazing, huh? The stories the Wizarding world holds," because he truly disliked the character that was 'Thaddeus Thurkell'. Treyen thought of him as evil. Who would turn their seven kids into hedgehogs, huh? An evil person. Or a very demented one. Either way, the man belonged in St. Mungo's. Except...he was dead, so, yeah.

And then the most awaited reply. Yes! "Seriously?" Arya would be probably excited about other things besides Quidditch, like a CoMC lesson or something, while he was certain that Ellie too looked forward to Quidditch. "So, I take it you like to cheer from the Stands?" he asked, eying the knarl from the corner of his eye, just in case. "I can't wait until I find out who the Captain from Hufflepuff will be, and who'll take over Nolan's place," yes, those were the top two things. Also, to see if maybe Saylen had resigned over the summer.

One could hope, right?

"Yeah I know...Tigger is only 3 months old- so I don't want Walnut rough housing with Tigger, but he can show him Hogwarts and party it up together...They can be best friends kitty style...

Selina entered the train with Owen the Pygmy puff on her shoulder. The tiny yellow pygmy puff with the red freckles looked quite frightened by all of the people. She soothed him and held her trunk tightly in her hand. In the other hand was Hermes, her small baby Tawny Owl. The three were all ready for Hogwarts although Owen... he was not handling it as well.

She loaded her trunk on the overhead on the cart and placed Hermes on the booth seat. Turning around she sat beside him. She was waiting for Violet and Elektra to emerge. The three first years were to be quite good friends.

She then heard a voice, a very familiar one at that. "Adam? Kurumi?"

Kurumi looked up from her kitten holding to see Selina had entered the compartment. "Selina!"

Violet met up with her two new close friends and followed them onto the train. She held onto Sadie and carried Isis' cage in her other as she began to follow Selina and Elektra towards the back of the train. As she walked towards the back of the train she looked at the other students. This really was happening. Violet reached the back of the train finding Selina and Elektra. Her two trunks floated overhead on the cart. Violet sat down with Isis next to her and Sadie in her lap. She jumped when Elektra suddenly squealed about going to Hogwarts Violet thought about it for a moment and then said,"Oh my god! Yes! Yes I am excited we're actually going! Eeeeeeeeee!"

Adam nodded to Kurumi's question and allowed Tigger to hang out with Walnut- but he pointed at the little munchkin cat.

Then he looked up and saw "Selina...!"All though the great was half nice.
He sure wished there would be a chance of only him and Kurumi having this section, but that popped like a bubble. Perhaps the broom cupboard was their only time to enjoy each others company without being interrupted...

She nodded. He seemed the type who would like school work so that clearly surprised her in a way. Guess she should stop assuming things about people. She knew it was rather rude, yet she couldn't help but act so annoying about it. The house elves? Well she was quite familiar with house elves seeing as her grandparent's owned 4 and her's owned 1. "My brother says it's amazing. Of course when he says 'amazing' I'm still not that assured," she smiled. He had way too many things to define that word. "I'm a picky eater so I hope it's good," Lucie added with a sigh.

She giggled and didn't expect him to be. "It's a muggle author. He wrote children books. Here..." the girl opened up her periwinkle colored backpack with floral designs all over it and pulled out the book that was her favorite growing up. "Here's my favorite. Horton Hears a Who," she explained, holding up the book for him.

The girl watched as he set her trunk up above her. "Thanks. I obviously am not tall and don't have much muscle in these arms." She flexed her arm and giggled again, looking to see the small muscle appear. She was athletic despite her small muscles. More in her legs. Lucie was a runner.

As she walked towards the back of the train she looked at the other students. This really was happening. Violet reached the back of the train finding Selina and Elektra. Her two trunks floated overhead on the cart. Violet sat down with Isis next to her and Sadie in her lap. She jumped when Elektra suddenly squealed about going to Hogwarts Violet thought about it for a moment and then said,"Oh my god! Yes! Yes I am excited we're actually going! Eeeeeeeeee!"
"Kurumi, how are you?" Selina asked. She was so thrilled to see someone else she knew on the train. More than content to talk on with Kurumi she heard the two other girls behind her try to talk to her.

Blushing slightly she added to Kurumi, "Oh how rude of me. Kurumi, this is Elektra and Violet. Actually I think you and Violet are going to get on quite well."

Turning quickly to the other two she answered, "And no! Ugh this is so exciting!"

Kurumi set Tigger down next to Walnut who then immediately put his calico paw around the kitten. Aw, brothers already, or something like that. Kurumi then returned to her seat next to Adam. She smiled at the excitement on the three girls' faces. Had that been her last year? No, more likely that is what Katie had looked like. Kurumi was more of an internal person when it came to things like this - unless creatures were involved, that was a whole other story.

"I'm fine," she smiled at Selina. She then bowed her head politely to each of the girls as Selina introduced them. "It's nice to meet you all. I'm Kurumi. A Gryffindor second year and this is Adam."

Just me thinking about the upcoming term and I think I've thought enough of that since I started packing the other day," he added with a chuckle as he moved to sit down again looking back at her as he realised it was a little ackward talking to someone when they didn't know each other's names.

"By the way...I'm Simon."

Violet smiled as Selina introduced her and Elecktra to Adam and Kurumi. She said in her bright French accent,"Hello Kururmi! Hi Adam! It's absolutely wonderful to meet you both!" Violet's violet eyes looked at Selina, then Kurumi, Adam, Elektra, and then back at Selina

Kurumi bowed her head at Elektra before looking to the girl next to her. She glanced at Adam for a quick second.

Kurumi nudged Adam gently with her elbow. "Adam, Selina just introduced them. That one is Elektra and that one is Violet," she whispered catching Adam up to speed. He had probably been distracted watching Tigger and Walnut kitty cuddle. She smiled back at the three girls. "You should take a seat. You don't want to fall over when the train starts to move."

Walnut, seeing the hyper girls look at HIS seat, decided to avoid the lecture and picked up Tigger by the back of the neck and carried him over to where Kurumi and Adam were sitting before flopping down on HIS new perch.
