A good portion of the mess cleaned up, Simon paid more attention to the surrounding area noticing a fellow Gryffie waking up from watching over things. "You're welcome," he said. "Not about to let them mess with Professor Carlton," he added with a shake of the head at the idiocy of the whole thing.

He absently watched her clean up the rest of the mess, the cleaning spell she used helping with the lingering smell a little. Spotting a girl walk up to them, he eyed her suspiciously but then relaxed when she seemed just there to see the Professor honestly. "Maybe you should take a break," he suggested to Lexi glancing back at her and noticing how tired she still seemed.

Lexi smiled before letting out a HUUUUUGE yawn. Yeah, she had lost track of how long she had been there guarding the Professor's door. It was seriously disappointing and digusting that students would do this. "Yeah, she's too good to us to let it happen if we can stop it," she agreed with him.

Lexi shook her head when he said she should take a break. "Nah, I'm alright. I decided I would watch her door, so I am going to see it through," she said with a grin. Gryffindors had the tendency to be all stubborn and whatnot, ya know.

Fletcher was a good little Puff today. Yes, yes he was. He had come to the third floor with his very best mate, Salander, and a whole slew of baked goods just to deliver to Professor Carlton. It was all for her and maybe a few for them just because you know... she was such a great professor. And he had to thank her for teaching him his favorite charm ever.

Yes, Wingardium Leviosa had been so useful when it came to winning the Triwizard Tournament that Fletcher had legit sweated away in the kitchen for Professor Carlton. With a little wooden basket full of muffins, bread and flaky, stuffed pastries dangled over his arm, the Hufflepuff did his best not to look too awkward as he strolled up toward the professor's door. He glanced over his shoulder just once to see if Salander was bringing up the other half of their hard work.

And then he noticed the Gryffindor Guard and came to a shuddering stop. Huhhhhhh. What was up with them? Didn't look too happy, did they?

"Sup, guys," he nodded at Lexi and whats-his-name. "You two uh... getting paid to do security or somethin?" He rifled through his selection of baked goods and picked out a muffin as he waited for a response. Fletcher held it up to his nose, sniffed, and then took a big bite out of it.

He started munching obnoxiously and might have deliberately gotten a few crumbs on the gryffindors' feet.... whups. "Want a pastry or somethin? Anyone?" Couldn't hurt to ask. Just bein' friendly!!

Lexi couldn't help but narrow her eyes at Fletcher as he came nearer. He wasn't getting special puking rights because he was the bloody champion, no way! She gave him a half smile and said, "Nah just standing here to keep people from puking on our Head of House's door. If you came to puke I swear I will... stick my wand up your nose, Fletcher. You should know better." Yeah, she was reprimanding the Champion... what of it?! If he puked she was seriously shoving his face in it like a dog. Somehow... she wasn't sure on the how just yet, though.

*Eye twitch* "Do you have any idea how many times we have had to clean this hallway up? Please chew with your mouth closed or get a bib or something, please. We just want to be nice to our Head of House and everyone is being so terrrible," she said in a wibbly voice. She was so TIRED and he was so... smacking away like a llama chewing grass. Or you know, whatever it is that llama's eat.

"Man these smell really good dont they?..."

Salander carried another tray full of baked goodies up to Carlton's office because.... well, where else can they bring this? Certainly not back to the Kitchens where they just had a baking frenzy isnt it? His pace slowed down when he heard Fletcher speaking with someone by the door. It was Lexi and another Gryffindor dude he' seen from classes. "Hey there Lexi!" he greeted Lexi smiling. "Hey uh...dude" he added giving a nod at the other Gryffindor.

He wiggled his fingers, trying to select between the chocolaty and cheese-like goodies on his tray, settling for a nice large chocolate muffin and gave it a few sniffs. He offered them to the Gryffindor Guards "Chocolate amd Cheese(ish) Muffin, freshly baked!" he said as he took a large bite "Mmmhhhmmm!"

Oh. Whoopsies.

She'd taken out her transfiguration textbook, and started to read it as it died down around here, died down as in... no people were coming and puking at the door. Which was terribly a beautiful quiet thing, if you asked her. And somehow... well she'd closed her eyes for a second, and that was it. She was asleep.

... And then she just woke up at the SMELL --the horrible bloody smell-- of sick. HUMAN sick. Because she found cat sick actually didn't smell. Or she'd became immune to it. Something like that, yeeeah.

And then one of the nice Gryffindor's had cleaned it up. They were cute, very cute, actually.

"It still smells a bit..." She stated, with a frown, pulling out a bottle of nice smelling PINKBOTTLED! perfume, and spraying it in that general area. "... perfect."

"Fletcheeeeeeer!Puff!!!! You're not gonna be sick too, are you?" Lori pouted a little, then frowned. She'd be disappointed in him, if that helped any.

" I am going to say this once again, this is an assignment given to us by Professor Lacay" Rex told them angrily. " If you two have a problem, balme her' Rex said it to them even more angily this time. " We have all apologized to Professor Carlton and she undserstand that we get ten points for this silly act" Rex explained to Lexi and this other boy. " I would be the last one to mess with Professor Carlton because I have a crush on her" Rex sighed. " by the way, are either of you a prefect or head boy or girl?" Rex asked them. " Since you two are not in the op five of students, I presume you do not do much homework or even go to classes, so I guess you both should not be telling students how to earn their points" Rex did more explaining to them. " i will do anything to help Gryffindor win the house cup , but I know why Slytherin is winning because of students like you two" Rex told Lexi and her friend.

" Lori, I apologized to Miss Carlton before I even puked on her door" Rex told her. " As you know Profeesor Lacay gave us this assignment and ten points for throwing up on Professor Carlton's door" Rex said to Lori. " You know I have a crush on Miss Carlton and I would have never done this unless I could get ten points for Gryffindor' Rex sighed. "Since you are the Hufflepuff girl prefect, I wanted you to hear why I did what I did and just for the record, I was not happy with it" Rex explained to Lori.

Ah, Rex was here.

Lorelai turned her head to face him, and watched as he adressed two of his fellow housemates. Okay, that completely wasn't fair. Nuh-uh. And it wasn't specifically nice, in any way shape or form.

Raising an eyebrow at him, as he addressed her also, she nodded warily, and replied with a frown. "I understand Rex, I understand that you'd like to get points and that Professor Carlton knows. But some of your classmates, myself included, have decided against doing it, and you really have no right to talk to your housemates like that. They are allowed their opinion on the homework task, as are you. I'm not saying anything against that. But the way you just spoke to them was rude, inconsiderate, and it was mean. So I think you owe them an apology, and then you head on and go do whatever it is, else, that you'd prefer. You've done what you needed to do here, not in a way I would have suggested, but you still did it." Once she'd finished, she gave him a little smile, and glanced over at the other two Gryffindor's he'd addressed. Yep. It had been mean.

Oh. These prefect jobs really made her sound horrible to people. D:

Lexi smiled sleepily at Salander and then furrowed her brow. "You guys really didn't come up here to vomit on the door then did you?" she asked. She was pretty sure they hadn't... Turning back to Fletcher she said, "Oh Fletcher I am sorry for talkign to you like that." She blushed furiously. Yeah... she had threatened to shove her wand up his nose. Bad form indeed.

Lexi turned back to Rex as he spoke and narrowed her eyes. Was it necessary to speak to her like that?! She thought not! "Rex, that is seriously uncalled for. I never told you to do or not do anything," she said quietly. She seriously didn't enjoy being shouted at. Not one little bit. If she was a weaker person it might have made her cry... but no it made her angry...

As Lexi was opening her mouth to light into him she heard the Huffie Prefect speak up and take up for them. She smiled over at the girl and mouthed, "Thank you!" She really hated to be mean most of the time and she had had about enough of Rex's attitude toward her trying to take up for their Head of House.

Once she'd dismissed both Destiny and Simon, Lexi headed toward her office door, opened it wide, and... *blink*. Sure, her office had always been fairly busy, but...this busy? All at once? Something just didn't seem quite right.

With her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, Lexi quietly stepped out into the corridor and shut the door behind her, eying the students as she did so. "Mmkay, someone want to tell me what's going on here?" she asked. "Something tells me you all aren't here for a minor chat with me." She crossed her arms and looked each student in the eye as she waited for an explanation.

YAY! Professor Carlton!! Lexi scooted a little closer to her and spoke up, "Yes, Professor Carlton, I will tell you what's going on. Professor Lafay set an assignment for all of the students to take puking pastilles and vomit all over your door. We have all been up here in refusal of the assignment ... well most of us... and trying to keep the vomit off of your door." When she said most of them she eyed Rex and the Ravenclaw whom she didn't know. Yeah, she didn't care whether she got points or not, she was going to do what's right no matter what.

Lori smiled at the female Gryffindor, and nodded at her thanks. It wasn't needed, really. She had only said what she deemed right, and what was deserved, in all honesty.

Ah! Professor Carlton! Lori span in the direction of the woman! And gave her a big grin, and a little wave. "Well.." She began, but stopped as soon as the Gryffindor girl piped up and told her the story. As the younger girl finished, the prefect added her own bit. "That's why I'm up here, anyways, Professor. And so are a few others. These two Gryffindor's, I hate to admit I dont know their names, were also." Yeppp. That was about it.

"Rex said you knew about the assignment..." She added, in haste, because the Professor seemed like she CERTAINLY didn't know that. Cue eying of Rex.

Chomp, chomp, chomp

Taking a huge bite out of anything would usually be tough to swallow, but for Salander the chocolaty muffin was particularly difficult to get down, being not a fan of sweets. The sugar overload alone was already enough to get him to gag, nevermind the fact that they added a few more things that usually doesnt go into nice, wholesome muffins.

He wingardiumed the tray as he stuffed another muffin into his mouth, nearly choking as he forced himself to swallow. He could feel his stomach grumbling something nasty. Its coming now isnt it?

But just when he thought things couldnt get worse, the Charms Professor came out her office.

Oh great its Professor Carlton!!! He looked at Fletcher in panic as the Slytherin lad spun around quickly, his back towards them.So much for being extra sneaky. Detention here I come?

Not before the great wave of the inevitable....

BAAAAARF!

And there it went.

A few more waves came up, and the lad couldnt help but slump onto the floor. They sure put some potent stuff in there. So does their recipe work? He thinks so, right now it has certainly earned the Salander stamp of approval.

He reached out blindly at his levitating tray, groping for a specific dessert. When he has found it he shoved it into his mouth, swallowed then clamped his hand over his lips. Work work work! he pleaded silently, shutting his eyes tight as he slid down the wall. There must be some kind of delay because he felt he as gonna wretch a fresh one. Quickly, he shoved another peppermint-ginger cookie. And his stomach started to relax. In fact, everything about him started to relax as he finally lifted his hand over his mouth. And he opened his eyes to see... rainbows? Rainbows and butterflies and unicorns! Ooohhhhh pretty.. the lad gasped dreamily as he started to follow the visions only he could see, crawling on all fours.

"I came to talk to you about something' she said with smiled.it's very
important she told her professor.Um professor lafay is making everyone puke on your office door it's some kind of revange for stealing professor Dodson.I was trying to get points for my house i didnt mean to vomit on your door i was getting sick on my on terms.

"well if you didnt know i tryed to stop my cousin form puking on the door".you werent paying atteion when i did the spell to bann him for this hall way.

UGH! She had trusted them!!! Lexi glared at Fletcher and started to shout at Salander as he began to vomit everywhere. UGH! She put her hand over her mouth and leaned against the wall. She was SO getting Fletcher and Salander back for this! They not only came up there to vomit on stuff but they tried to get the guards to eat the muffins and puke too! *eyes them both*

She couldn't help but smirk after a few moments of watching Salander vomit and struggle for the antidote. She really hoped they both got detention for this. She was SO telling her HoH what her theory was on the matter.

*blink*

For a moment, Lexi just stood still and quiet and looked at Lexi as if she'd just grown three heads and nine extra arms. She was trying to process what the girl had said and finally...it all sank in. "She...she...," Lexi said, but stopped when, once again, she had to try and really let what was being said sink in.

"I see," she finally said, glaring at a few of the nearby students. She was sure some of them had puked on her door, and honestly, she wasn't angry at them...

...she was hurt.

What part of my students mean the world to me did they not understand? She didn't have children of her own. These were her children.

Hearing Lori's words, Lexi smiled warmly at the Hufflepuff prefect and several others who she just knew had helped her and guarded her door the best they could. "Thank you so much...to all of you who helped. It means so much to me, and I'll make sure you're properly rewarded," she said. "Although, I think the true reward lies in what you've done for your own personal character."



*blink*

This was...ridiculous. In all her Hogwarts years, as a student and a professor, she'd never seen such disrespect before. So the boy has the nerve to throw up...in front of her? "Seriously? Seriously? Are you kidding me?" Lexi asked, looking down at Salander and staring him right in the eye.

She had the nerve to deduct every single point he would have earned from this lesson and more--but no, she wouldn't. This was all Hecate's fault. She was the authority figure, and they'd listened to her.

...but that didn't mean she was going to let Salander off the hook that easily. The kid was eating like food was going out of style in the next five seconds, though. He was also crawling around on all fours, like a little doggie who'd...

"Ah ha!" she said. She'd needed some type of punishment for the boy. Not points, no, as he'd only been following Hecate's instructions. Still, though, he needed a lasting reminder of what he'd done, and he looked mighty uncomfortable crawling around all fours like he was doing now.

...so with a raise of her wand, she cast a charm straight toward Salander's legs. "...and now, Mr. Salander, you only have the ability to walk and crawl like a dog would...until I charm you otherwise. Now follow me to the dungeons, Sparky. I have something to discuss with your Head of House."


As Lexi turned to walk out the waiting area, she heard a young Ravenclaw talking to her. "It's alright, dear. Thank you for owning up to what happened. I'm actually off to visit Professor Lafay now," she replied, giving the girl a quick nod. "Will you and the others stand guard just in case someone else decides to come along?"

Turning to the others, she added, "...and you, as well? Will you watch my door, please?"

"Well do professor Carlton,Atfer i talk to you i have somthing to tell about two girls in lafay house its something you need to know.joey stands gaurds with the other.

There was more?!?! Lexi didn't think she could handle many more Hecate-type surprises tonight, but she may as well stick around for this story, as well. After all, she was heading out to see Hecate now. May as well hear the whole nine yards. "Oh? What about two girls?" she asked. "I'll likely need to hear this before I head to Lafay's office."

"can i speak with in your office she said with a smiled.they been bother a lot of people lately.

"Well, I'm actually on my way out, dear, as I have some important business to discuss with Professor Lafay," she said, giving the girl a sympathetic glance. She paused and then added, "If you can't tell me right here, then you're free to follow me to the dungeons." Lexi would have normally taken the girl up on the offer to talk inside the office, but certain circumstances simply had to be taken care of right away.

Salander was crawling around, so enchanted was he with all the butterflies he sees flying overhead. In his head. "Pretty rainbow! Pretty butterflies! Pretty--" then felt something hit him. "Huhhhh?" he turned his head to look at an angry Professor Carlton *gulp* "Hiii Professah!" he greeted sheepishly, the lightheaded sensation increasing every passing minute. "Imma dog?" he uttered dumbfounded as he tried to get up. He found that his elbows seem to have locked in place, and the legs below his knees were completely unresponsive, forcing him to move about like a...well dog. "Follow youuuu? Okaaayyyy" he started as he trotted beside her. Then it hit him She's gonna go talk to my Head of House? Whatever for???

Lexi two pressed her lips together in a tight line as she looked back and forth between Lexi1 and Salander. Oh myyyyyy... This was going to be interesting. Indeed it was. When Lexi1 announced that he was only able to crawl like a dog she let her bottom jaw drop nearly to the floor with her shock.

Nodding her head she said, "Yes, ma'am. We will continue to guard your door. Do you think if we cast a shield charm it would help some?" She was really... yeah... she didn't know what to do as she continued her ridiculous head spin from Sal to Lexi1.

Uh............oh. After hearing first Lexi the Gryffindor's harsh words, and then seeing more and more people gather around the door as even Professor Carlton herself come out of the office, Fletcher had nearly lost his nerve to finish his assignment. Nearly. As it was, however, he had managed to budge up in the corner actually behind the professor's open door with all of his baked goods... and now he was in hiding.

Out of sight, out of mind, right? Fletcher was convinced this was a safe strategy especially after Professor Carlton saw the vomit and reacted angrily.

Merlin though, Salander had gotten her good. He'd convinced one Lexi that they were there for innocent, professor-appreciation reasons, and managed to tick the other Lexi off enough that she was going to walk him down to the dungeons basically on a leash. Haahahahaha. Fletcher sniggered in his corner and carelessly popped another baked treat in his mouth. He chewed and and grinned to himself, barely peeking around the door frame to watch all the action going on.

But then he tasted it. He tasted the "treat" he had just put in his mouth. And what did he taste?

"Cccucumberss," the boy groaned, once again spewing crumbs on the backs of the Gryffindor guards. "Cucccumbers and ssaltwater and and cchocolate... that's..."

That's no treat! That's a trick! was all the Hufflepuff wanted to say. But before he could manage to articulate the words, he had swallowed the lumpy pastry and could instantly feel it taking effect on his stomach. He could just imagine the way his stomach acid was sloshing all around inside him, the way it was roiling like the Red Sea, the way it was bubbling angrily at the pastry he had just eaten and worst of all....

...now it was all coming up up up his esophagus and out out out his mouth.

BARFFFFFFF!!!!!!!

It was a repeat performance of last potions class, only this time Fletcher managed to puke all over the door AND himself, considering that he was wedged behind it good and tight. "Mmmy hhahaaair," he whimpered as a few more chunks of flaky crust and greenish goop dribbled down his chin.

Fletcher tried to wipe it off on the back of his hand but only succeeded in expelling a few more chunks into the basket full of vomit-covered pastries he was still clutching. Ahh, he still had to find the minty antidote muffins! He frowned and shook the basket off his arm, sending the normal, the antidote and the puke-inducing pastries/muffins rolling into the hall. Fletcher dropped to his knees to scramble out of his corner and after them. His vomit-filled cheeks were puffed out like a chipmunk to keep from exploding any more puke before he got to an antidote.

At last, the boy sniffed out a muffin right by Professor Carlton's shoe and he scrambled to scoop it up. "Blurrrrrrgh," he choked and spat out some more vomit directly in front of her foot --- a bad idea, no doubt --- but at least he had picked up the antidote muffin before it too was covered in puke.

Fletcher smiled weakly at the professor and quickly stuffed the entire peppermint-and-ginger muffin into his mouth as he slowly stood up. He chomped on it hard and swallowed the entire thing in about two bites... and right away his stomach was back to a normal, calm Dead Sea state. Whew. Sal sure was some kinda cook.

"Sorrrrrry about that, Professor," he squeaked nervously, taking a bigggg step back from the angry lady and the puddle of puke in front of her. "Must've had too much to eat today.... or those House Elves sure are trying to poision us."

He took another step back and shoved his hands in his pockets. Too bad the professor stood between him and the only exit out of here... because unless Fletcher wanted to retreat back to his puke corner by her door, he was stuck at the scene of the crime with a whole lotta angry people and one half-dog, half-snake friend.

Well this hadn't exactly gone according to plan... but at least Fletcher's homework was all done now.

Lexi's eyes went wide and her mouth dropped open as she heard Fletcher's voice and FELT him spitting something all over her back. She dry heaved once afraid it was vomit until she reached a hand back and felt that she was not covered in anything more than crumbs. Still. EWWWWW. She spun around in time to see him begin to vomit everywhere. Oh man! If she had not been fooled by him and Salander she might feel bad about the fact that he vomited on himself. No, she was MAD at him so she actually had to fight back the giggle that threatened to burst out of her lips.
