| | Waiting Area for Professor Carlton's Office OOC: Before posting in Professor Carlton's office, you must first post in this thread. As soon as I see your post or as soon as Lexi's office is free, I'll post in here and have Lexi invite you in.
The brass plaque on the door to Professor Carlton's office reads: Professor Alexia A. Carlton, Charms Please knock before entering
The office door is currently closed, so if you need to meet with Professor Carlton for whatever reason, you need to knock first and wait to be called inside. Two plush chairs situated around a coffee table of puffapods are just next to the door. While you wait, feel free to take a seat and get comfortable, although, if Professor Carlton is in her office at the time of your visit, she'll likely let you in quite quickly.

"Mr. Trigwell? What seems to be the matter?" she asked. Although, she knew Rex had been having trouble with a few of the foreign visitors and might be having more difficulties. "Are you upset about the foreign visitors again? If so, I believe your best bet would be to speak with the headmaster in his office and see if he can offer any additional guidance." Lexi thought that would be the best bet, since the communication problem dealt directly with their visitors and not necessarily Hogwarts students.

"Well, I do not know where the headmasters office is at HogWarts" Rex told Miss Carlton. "All I did is back up my HogWarts students and this one boy from BeauxBatons threatened me with his wand" Rex said to Miss Carlton. " He crude, rude and unaccpetable as a witch, wizard or muggle" Rex explained to the professor. " He told me to leave and no one talks to mee like that unless it is the profeesors or head of HogWarts or head of BeauxBatons or SurmStrang" Rex did more explaininfg to Miss Carlton. " Originally, I had been nice to a lot of thos e students, but they talked to everyone but me. so of course, I will root for our Gryffindor girl prefect more than anyone else, then the HogWarts students" Rex told the professor.
" You know. I prefer not to use a wand, but see if this boy who mouthed off to me wants a challenge, I will challenge to a muggle dance competetion at the end of The Tri-Wizard Tournament" Rex smiled. " I have plenty of partners for each balleoom dance" Rex smiled even more than the last time.
"Ok. I try to be nice first to all those students, but they completely ignored me and you want me to be nice to them, right?" Rex asked the professor. " No way will I be nice to any of them, sorry" Rex sighed.

" No way will I be nice to any of them, sorry" Rex sighed. Lexi grew silent and listened as Rex further explained what had happened with one of the foreign visitors. When he was done, she drew in a deep sigh then said, "Mr. Trigwell, I understand that you're upset, but you still have to keep in mind that the primary purpose for our visitors being here is to compete with Hogwarts, not to make friends. If they happen to make friends in the process, well then that's great," she said, truly hoping Rex would understand. "...but they're not entitled to be your friend, nor are you entitled to be their friend. The best advice I can give you is to just stay away from the foreign visitors and to stick to speaking with and hanging out with your Hogwarts friends."
Lexi nodded when Rex mentioned a muggle dance competition. "If this young man is interested in a muggle dance competition after a tournament, then I say to go for it. Otherwise, I think you should do just as you said--cheer for Miss Caddock and all your fellow Hogwartians," she replied. She shook her head when he mentioned being nice to the foreign visitors. "No, no, I suggest you just stay away from them entirely. If they'd prefer not to make friends with you, then just don't waste you time pursuing a friendship anymore. Just...pay them no mind."

" I was taught by my mother to talk to others when they spoke you to first and I am the one who iniated the first word,so would my mother be wrong when she told me to be nuce with othere" Rex sighed. " I just do not beleive they need to be rude and to threaten me with a wand or tell me to get lost expecially st my school, HogWarts" Rex explained to the professor.
"Well, how can I ask this boy to s competetion of dancing if I sm not suppoesed to talk to him" Rex said to Miss Carlton. " Hopefully you can talk to the headmistress here and their headmistress to set up the dance competition" Rex smiled. ' I will be in the front to root on HogWarts" Rex told Miss Carlton. Rex wished he had been picked for the competetion to put those students from DurmStrang and BeauxBatons in their places.

Lexi just shrugged then lightheartedly added, "Oh, Mr. Trigwell, don't let it worry you so much. You have so many other things to focus on--like, getting ready to support Hogwarts in the tournament," she said. "Who knows why they're not as likely to befriend someone as you and your mother are. Perhaps it's just a personality conflict."
She glanced at the boy with a sympathetic expression. He had so many other things to worry about--schoolwork, homework, supporting his school in the tournament--yet he worried himself so much about befriending the foreign visitors. She supposed it was a noble thing to do, but all the same, she really thought that he should just let it go and put his focus somewhere else. "I didn't mean to never talk to this boy. I just meant to not go out of your way to befriend him if its clear he'd rather not befriend you right now. Just keep your distance for a while...put your focus on other things," she advised. "You have so many other things to worry about. Why don't you just go outside and enjoy a nice day with your friends." She shook her head when Rex asked about speaking to the foreign heads about setting up the dance competition. "I don't think they'll welcome the offer. They, too, are here for the Tri-Wizard Tournament, a very dangerous tournament which requires a lot of focus and attention. Your best bet will be to just wait until the tournament is over and approach this student on your own. Although, it's his right to say yes or no."

Rex's favoirite teacher Miss Carlton really did not understand his problem. He can't talk to anyone else if this is how Profeesor Carlton tells him just to be nice like he does to his friends, go to classes and root fir HogWarts. Rex knows Professor Carlton is the easiet professor to talk to and usually understands all the students.
" Thanks for you help" Rex told Professor Carlton with sadness and dejection in his voice. He felt very rejected by his favorite teacher. Why did these rude, nasty students have to be here at all- Rex thought to himself. Rex tried to hide some of his tears.

"Cheer up now and go out and try and have a good time with your friends." She gave him warm, friendly smile then added, "I've got some visitors in my office, so I better get back in there. Have a good day." She gave him another smile then headed back into the office, shutting the door lightly behind her.

Anna waltzed into the waiting room and knocked on the office door. She sat down in one of the chairs and smiled down at the cake she had baked for Professor Carlton. It was a deep red with golden piping on the side. There was also gold writing that said Gryffindor's the best! |

Lexi's office had been unusually quiet for quite some time now. She'd started to think it was possible that no one else was coming to visit her anytime soon. With classes in full swing and all free time being spent on homework and studying, it was no doubt the students weren't making the rounds and visiting all the offices anymore.
So Lexi was a bit surprised--although pleasantly surprised--to hear the current knocking on her office door. "Come in," she politely said, swishing her wand and causing the door to open.

Lexi did love when the students brought her sweets! She rarely ever had to visit Honeydukes with all the sweets that were usually brought to her in her office. "Oh, well, thank you, dear! I do love---..."
Lexi was about to express how much she loved cake, but the girl was turning and leaving the office before Lexi could even get all the words out her mouth. She shrugged a little then began cutting a piece of the cake.

| Hmm, when in December are we? I'll assume at least close to Christmas. Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict It wasn't quite the right time, but she'd gotten the delivery already. In any case, Grayson figured it would be better to give Professor Carlton the gift now, rather than trying to wait until it was actually the holiday. For that matter, she wasn't sure if she'd be around at the actual holiday. If every aspect of the Tournament was going to happen like the one she remembered from the stories, she figured most people would be staying at the castle. But she didn't know, especially as things did seem a little different than what she would have expected. Plus, it wasn't exactly like the present would be really safe in the box for her to wait all the way until Christmas. She'd gotten instructions from Uncle Nathaniel anyway as to how to deal with it, not that she wasn't fairly certain she would have been able to anyway.
So here she was, standing in the waiting area of Professor Carlton's office, a box in her hands wrapped carefully in brightly colored paper that disguised the holes poked in the sides. It didn't cover them, just made them way less obvious as she didn't want the professor to immediately guess the present that was inside. Shifting the box carefully and slowly to one arm, making sure not to jostle anything, she reached out and knocked on the door. Hopefully the professor was there, because she didn't really want to leave the box. But it was possible she was elswhere, as the professors had to be busy with everything going on.

Lexi had just began cutting a piece of Anna's cake when she heard the distinct sound of knocking once again. She pushed the cake gently away then used her wand to open her office door just a crack. "Come in! It's open," she said. Perhaps her newest visitor would like a piece of cake...

Grayson had shifted the box back to being held in both hands as she'd waited to see if Professor Carlton was in her office. She imagined there had to have been some sort of better way to find out, but she hadn't wanted to carry the gift around the castle while she was looking. Although she was beginning to think her uncle had done a really good job of picking it out, as she hadn't had too many issues. But then the door opened a crack and she heard the professor tell her to come in. Okay, here goes, she thought, moving the gift back to one arm as she pushed the door open further.
"Hi Professor Carlton," she said with a smile as she stepped inside, before she saw the cake and curiosity flickered across her face. Um, yay sugar? She wondered if the cake was also a Christmas present, but then she realized the professor probably wondered why she was there. "Oh, um, this is for you. Kind of a Christmas present, y'know? I mean, I know it's not Christmas yet, but early presents are good too," she said, sort of holding the brightly-wrapped box out. Really steadily. Anna: OOC: Moved us into the office.

Destiny was too scared to stay after class to talk to Professor Carlton, which was why she was standing outside the Charms Professor's office. Actually, showing up at her office was probably a stupid thing to do. She should have talked to her in class, that way there would have been plenty of witnesses just in case the woman become so angry she needed to punch something.
That something being Destiny's face.
Well, no turning back now. It was officially now or never, and the parchment in her pocket was starting to burn a hole. Not literally like she always thought that saying meant, just medioforkally..or whatever that word was. Destiny didn't know how to speak muggle.
Taking a step to the door, she gave it three good knocks before turning and plopping herself down on one of the chairs. Kicking her shoes off, she threw her legs over the arm of the chair and made herself comfortable.
If only she had a glass of lemonade.

With a quick wave of her wand, the office door opened to show Destiny Shepard plopped across the chair--with her shoes off. Good Merlin! Did the girl think she'd be here 'til nightfall or something? "Miss Shepard? Miss Shepard! You can come in now," she called, just loud enough to be heard from behind her desk.

Lexi 2 lurked near Professor Carlton's door... she was determined to stop the meanies from putting Puking Pastilles out for her Head of House to pick up. Cue the superhero theme music, yo. If she could only cast a Disillusionment Charm she would be great. Meh. Plopping down in a chair she lay her wand across her lap and wore a scowl on her face. Waiting... she was waiting.

Lexi 2 hears the... is that someone vomiting? EWWWW. Getting up she sees a stupid Ravenclaw's retreating back and scowls. Maybe she should set trip jinxes out for idiots that thought it was funny to harrass a professor. Shaking her head she took a few steps closer and vanished the vomit and scourgified the area that it had been. Maybe she would just stand right in front of the door from now on. She was pretty scary, right? A 14 year old Gryffindor SHOULD be scary. Setting her scowl back in place she stood near the door with her arms crossed and wand in hand.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jeremy Bradford Fifth Year | "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."
Alice, as soon as she had read part of the assignment for their potions homework, thought it would be good to come and make sure Professor Carlton's office was okay. As soon as she stepped into the waiting room area, Alice smelled it...puke.
Alice watched as Lexi quickly cleaned it up. "Hey Lexi," Alice said with a smile. "Mind if I help you keep guard?"
Alice pulled her wand out of its holster and stood next to Lexi. Surely with both of them there no one would dare try something.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna If Professor Lafay thought he, a loyal Gryffindor was actually gonna do the homework she had assigned, she had another thing coming. Simon had it in his head to try and stalk out her office door and see what he could do to help. As he rounded the corner he was surprised but alsp glad that it appeared fellow lions and even a badger or two had similar ideas.
"Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the assignment is wrong," he commented as he moved up to the group.

| ∞ 17 | RP entrepreneur | defies gravity | Miss George is flawless | blanket burrito lyfe EW. Vomit was gross. And Lafay was a total meanie for setting that homework task.
And Lori had really wanted to go and see if anyone had actually gone and done the disturbing, horrific, dirty, unsanitised homework. And then see if someone had chosen to stand guard and give the meanie!sickers the eye and tell them to shove off.
Alas, she found both outside the Charms Professor's Office, and with a little pout as she approached the younger students, she shoved her hands in her pockets. "None of you lot, did that did you? Because if you did, you can totally clean it up. Because that... well that's just gross." In truth, she didn't actually think it was any of these kids.
If she had just left sick somewhere --which she wouldn't, anyways-- then she wouldn't stay around. That'd just leave EVIDENCE! And it wasn't LOGICAL!
--
And then one of the younger students had cleaned it up, and the Prefect smiled softly at her. "If it helps, i'd totally give you a chocolate frog right now, if I hadn't left them in my dorm." And it probably didn't help that she had eaten them, aswell. Hehe.
Oh look, one of the kids was a PUFF! She was a cutie. "You're a good 'puff. you know that kid? Not even your Head of House, and you're here guarding it." She was here guarding it, wasn't she?
