ECK. Big scary TREE. The stupid tree was SCARING Eliza. A lot. It was so big and freaky! And it was moving, it was strange! Eliza was scared of it... but she somehow wanted to go up and touch it at the same time. Eck. That was a bad ideaaa, she was pretty sure. It would KILL her or something.

Jermaine had heard this school had a tree that was ALIVE. This he had to see for himself. So here he was, out wandering the grounds looking for this tree,
After what semed like... not very long at all he found a willow tree,
HMM...
Could this be the tree? Walking closer to it he found out rather quickly that this was indead THE tree that is alive as a branch came out of no where and swung at his head. Thankfully he was quick on his feet and was able to jump back out of the way just before he got slapped.
Hmm...
This tree could be useful...

This tree could be useful... Monique was once again exploring anything and everything. This time her journeys brought her to a large willow tree. She spotted Jermaine a little ways ahead of her heading toward the tree. Out of NOWHERE the tree made a swipe toward his head.
Laughing and clapping she closed the distance between them. "Very good Jermaine." she teased. "Perhaps next time you'll make it past a real obstacle."

This tree could be useful...
Rae wanted the outdoors, the fresh air, she got to the Whomping Willow where she was flooded with memories. She sat down in the grass in the same place she did last time. This was depressing, depressing and pathetic. Until she looked up at what seemed to be one of the foreigners taking a chance with the tree. Did he not know any better? Maybe the term Whomping Willow didn't strike him as something dangerous. Though anyways, she smiled. "You won't make it through the year that way." Not that close to the tree anyways. He certainly wouldn't make it in the tournament with a broken face. That was... IF this bloke became champion. She also saw a girl, also appeared to be a foreigner. Why would they get so close?

A little tree? Did his eyes work? The tree had always been huge! It seemed that every foreigner she had met so far was overly confident with everything. The last one was too confident with girls, he thought he could get anyone, of course, anyone but Rae. This one, thinks he can take on the Whomping Willow. She was almost waiting for a tree branch to come back around to whack him, just so he understood. Yet, she would never wish that on someone, except her mother so she banished the thought away. Rae's black and purple wavy hair, slightly messy as usual, though it still gracefully flowed down her neck and shoulders. "My name's Rae, and yours is?" She wondered if everyone that went to Beaubaxtons or Durmstrang had an accent. They all seemed to have one... Weird.

Okay, he was REALLY going to get hurt now. Salander made his way down the castle grounds. Like Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, he has heard about this special tree all the way back from his old schools in America. The stories were so impressive (which may or may not all be true) that he just had to see for it himself.
And there it was-- The Whomping Willow, a twisty, knobby, scraggly thing. Yeah it was every bit as ugly as they said a tree could get. And it wasnt doing anything, which dragged the awesomeness factor down several notches.
Until he saw it take aim at a Slytherin boy.
Awesomeness factor bumps up a little. Salander grins as he crosses his arms across his chest. Looks like he was just in time for the show.

"Does zis tree try to attack everyone zat walks up to it or just zose zat are guests here?" he asked looking at the tree then back to Rae. He probably should try and find out if there were any other crazy things he needed to watch out for on these grounds. Quote:

And it looked like she'd never know. A younger girl came up and approached them. She rolled her eyes at Jermaine's silly flirtations. How she fell for that many times she'd never know. Pfft, Jermaine flatter himself... never. What he said was not flattery, it was truth. Well in his mind it was. After all, Monique WAS always smiling when she was around him. "Oh come now, you know I can get you to smile, no matter how mad you may get at me." Which could be pretty mad at times.
Jermaine laughed at her distance comment. He'd like to see her keep her distance from herself. "Not from everything you don't." he said with a smile of his own. Haha, she had no idea what he was talking about. Well maybe he would have to show her later, when they were alone.

Ella strolled around the grounds for the first time that year, coming around to the willow because the lake seemed pretty crowded. The year had begun wonderfully. She sat down on the branch of a tree that wasn't even close to the willow, and leaned back and adored the scenery, absorbed it thought.
