| | The Rune-Caster's Code of Conduct This thread tells how your character is expected to behave in the Runes classroom, how to earn points, and how to submit Runes homework. If you have any related questions or difficulties, feel free to PM me. My character might be distant, at times, but I'm a nice person. I really am.
* [] Be punctual. If you are a few minutes late, it's no big deal. If you pop into my classroom halfway through the lesson and ask what's going on, I will deduct points. OOC: We can't all be online at the same time. If a lesson has already started when you log on, jump in and pretend your character was there, all along!
[] Be excellent to each other. The classroom is not the place to make broken friendships, love lives and quarrels public. Hand-holding, snide remarks, and pulling someone's pigtails to check if they are real, are not good ideas. Please treat each other with respect. OOC: Drama is good, but please remember that Davina will react accordingly.
[] When I talk, you listen. Discussion is good, chatter is not. If you have a question, ask. If you're thirsty, drink some water. If there's a bug on your desk, by all means scream. But no matter what else, please remember that you are here to learn. OOC: Subject-related discussion is encouraged, but if your character is discussing high heels and butterbeer when Davina is teaching, she will not be happy.
[] Know your rules. OOC: Please familiarize yourself with the SnitchSeeker Board and the General Classroom Rules. Be good, eat popcorn, and follow them at all times.

| ♥ Mrs. Itachi Uchiha™ & MAJNOO! : Bleach & Kyo & Natsume ♥ [ Maxh!Jesh ] [] Classroom participation is encouraged. I will assign points for classroom participation. I understand that everyone cannot be online all the time, answer each question, or take part in each activity. Missing something does not mean you will not get points. If you and your character have been active in class, trust me, you will.
[] The first answer, is not necessarily the best. If I ask a question, you do not have to rush to be the first to respond. Points will be assigned for effort, rather than speed. Well thought-out, out-of-the-box or creative answers are likely to be marked higher. Stay in character. If your character is not the kind to answer a question, that does not mean you will not get points. Effort - and a presence - is the key. ^.^
[] Do not plagiarize. Plagiarized answers can result in a deduction of house points. This includes answers that are copied straight from a search engine or website, or from another member. I understand that one cannot know every answer, but if you use a search engine or website, please take out a few moments to re-word what is written. Do not paste it verbatim.
[] Give others a chance. If I ask you to give me the meaning of a particular rune, please give me only one meaning, unless stated otherwise. This ensures that others get a chance to add something new and useful to the discussion, or answer. A three para answer will not be marked higher than a three line one, if the latter is more well thought-out. Quality, not quantity, please. |

| ♥ Mrs. Itachi Uchiha™ & MAJNOO! : Bleach & Kyo & Natsume ♥ [ Maxh!Jesh ] How to submit homework [] PM me your homework.
[] Title your homework appropriately. This means, name of subject and number of assignment. Ideally, your PM title would be Ancient Runes Homework I [II, III, and so on, depending upon the homework]. If you are not giving the assignment number, then please include the question[s] in the homework, in your PM.
[] Include your house and member ID, at the top of your PM. To see your member ID, click on your username. Your user profile will open. Look at its URL. The bunch of numbers at the end, is your User ID. * Homework: Rules & Regulations [] Do NOT plagiarize. I repeat - do not plagiarize. Please do not paste things verbatim, from another source. Please do not copy another member's ideas. If you need help, ask me. If you don't understand something, PM me. I am here to help. If I come across plagiarism, I will deduct points.
[] Homework is due two weeks from the time and date it is posted, unless stated otherwise.
[] Late homework will, as a general rule, not be accepted. If your homework is less than twenty-four hours late and exceptionally good, I will consider it. More than twenty-four hours, and there will be no exceptions.
[] Grammar and punctuation are important. I will consider grammar and punctuation. Nobody is perfect, but if you are willing to take out the time to do an assignment, please be willing to take out a few extra minutes to make sure I can read, what you have written.
[] Don't over-exert yourself. I can't stress this strongly enough. Don't kill yourself, trying to make your homework the best. If it's well thought-out and nicely written, I promise it will get full credit. |
