Fletcher was getting good at this shrugging thing. He shrugged again, unsure of what she wanted him to say.

"I didn't... see its significance...." he trailed off, pushing off his pumpkin perch and moving around to her side of the pumpkin. "You didn't.... waiiiiiiit. Waaaaaaiiiiiiiiiit."

He moved all the way around and came to stand in front of her, leaning against the pumpkin with one hand, and definitely in her personal space bubble. "Please tell me you didn't date that guy after that day...... did you?!"

Rae had started walking and then stopped abruptly by Fletcher getting right in her walking path. This idea of walking away just like he did wasn't working. She sighed, and didn't look at him. Looking off to the side she heard him ask if Rae dated Xylon. Now her eyes narrowed on his. Really? Xylon and Rae were together the whole year! Actually they technically still were! No one had broken up with the other, but with the lack of letters it seems that Xylon just forgotten that part of it. "Yeah FRIEND, I did, maybe something else you didn't know... I technically still am! Thanks for noticing." She looked at him with disbelief.

With more of a sarcastic tone, because she already knew the answer, she asked "Please tell me you didn't keep snogging the foreigner AFTER you pretended not to see Salander and I" Yeah, right back at you.

"Fine. Then I won't say anything at all. What's it to you, if you're already taken."

And speaking of taken... this conversation had certainly taken a negative turn.

Once she had basically screamed everything out now, she saw Fletcher's expression. "Yes, you..... Did you really think you had to be champion for someone to like you or something?" Her voice was now soft, for she used most of her energy in yelling previously.

To Rae he was anything but a failure. Rae thought of herself as one. She managed to be the one who was kicked out of the family. Until recently, she had no home and no money either. Fletcher, knew how to have fun, how to make Rae laugh and smile. Why is a question that Rae couldn't really explain. She wouldn't know how.

He didn't know what to do. Rae did. After all, she didn't mean to say anything anyways, she blurted it out without knowing mostly, or with her temper she screamed it. "I know you don't... I shouldn't have said it, forget I did and were still friends... Right?" Thats what was best wasn't it... Their friendship.

"No.... no...." Fletcher couldn't just forget such a conversation. Er, exchange. They were not really conversing since she had yelled at him. But he didn't mind, really. He probably deserved it in one way or another. He reached out and put a reassuring hand on Rae's shoulder. "We'll still be friends but... you know, if you ever break up with... that other kind..."

He trailed off into his usual mischievous, crooked half-grin, then went ahead and stretched his arm all the way around Rae's shoulder. Just a friendly, friend-to-friend shoulder hug. You know how it goes. ;]

"Yeah that's too bad," Fletcher agreed, picking up his art pad with his other arm. Maybe she wanted to walk somewhere else? He was just now noticing the awful coldddddness that was outside. "But maybe you should share this idea with me, since there is always next term........."

And it was never too early to start plotting pranks, right?

Huhhhhhhhkay well Fletcher certainly wasn't protesting. He was you know, surprised at the uh, sudden turn of events, but he quickly adjusted and kissed Rae back, moving his hands down to her waist.

She had good ideas, he liked that. A lot. Especially this idea.

Mia snorted. It was apparent that he didn't know her very well. She was bound to get lost before the term was out. She like to wander but really had no sense of direction.

Good preparation to be an auror? Mia didn't want to be an auror. She had no idea what she wanted to do when she left school but being an auror was definitely was not something she would ever consider. "I will have to remember that."

She should have just kept her mouth shut. Carter was right. Since when did going to have some cheesecake constitute as a date?

Mia opened her mouth to say something but Carter continued to go on and okay she did kind of grin when he called her cute. She was only human after all and it makes you feel good when someone pays you a compliment.

She shook herself out of these thoughts. And as cute as he was, Carter had just broken up with his girlfriend and apparently there were still some unresolved issues with them. And she didn't want to be getting into the middle of all that.

Holding up her hands, Mia shook her head. "NO!!!" She cleared her throat and gave him a sheepish look. "I mean. You're a nice guy Carter and I think you're cute too but I don't want it to be a date. I don't date."

No she just snogged guys every now and then but never got involved in anything serious.

"But we can go as friends. I would like that. If that's alright with you I mean?" Could that be anymore awkward?

Carter nervously looked at his feet waiting for her answer. He really wished he knew when to stop talking. Or when to stop digging himself in a hole. Or both. Both would be nice.

He looked up suddenly at the 'NO!!!' Ouch, that was harsh...

And then she went on. So he was a nice guy? And cute? That was good to know.

"No, I completely understand." he said. Yeah... he really didn't... Dating was awesome. Everyone should do it. But if she didn't date that was cool too. You know, unless he was interested in her at some point.

He smiled. "Yeah. That sounds great." It was probably better that way. Much less complicated. Especially since he currently had way more complications than he knew what to do with.

But still, he couldn't help but feel slightly hurt. He had just been turned down afterall.

Was he disappointed that she had said no? Mia was becoming slightly flustered and wished she had never said anything about a date. They had been getting on so well and now everything was going a little haywire.

She didn't know what to say to make it better either. This was usually why she picked guys like Finn or Jimmy or Sal even because they all seemed to think the same. A bit of fun between friends with no strings attached.

Mia gave him a small smile and picked at a blade of grass. "You're not just saying that are you? I mean I didn't offend you or anything?" She heaved a deep sigh and threw the grass away. "I'm a bit of a free spirit Carter, I can't stay in one place for too long you know? Which is why I can't see myself with the one person all the time." She shrugged her shoulders, "I may change my mind later on but for now, I am happy at keeping things simple."

"I'm not a girl who got mad at something like that" Freya laughed. "Why I'm not surprise to hear that you didn't know many boys?" she smirked. "Sure. Umm. So what do you wanna do with the homework?" she aksed.

Together with Freya she jumped up and down. This was all exciting.

He turned his head and looked at her. "Really?" he asked forgetting about the awkwardness. "That seems to me like it would be anything but simple..." And it seemed awfully lonely too.

Fee giggled at Freya reaction.
" It already happend", Fee smiled," we went on a picnic and he asked me to be his girlfriend."
Fee was really happy about this all, she couldnt tell how much it meant to her that she could call Edmond her boy.

"There was such a drama and i got into a fight with a friend cause she is his best friend and she is also in love with him and i freaked a bit but its all okay now."

Fee herself got a little hyper, too.
That was just catching.
"Whats up with you hun? Now, we need to get you a boy,too",she giggled.



"I knewwwwww it", Fee giggled.

"Same here, i couldnt ask for a better best friend."
She took both of his hands and looked up to him.
"I will be there whenever you need me and you can always count on me wether its fay or night."
Fee smiled at Rex, it was nice to know that he was caring for her.
"I will, but will also spend not less time with you."

Uh huh. He was still babbling. Mia decided to just ignore the whole awkwardness and try and continue on as though this didn't bother her at all. "Cool. What other kinds of food do they have there? Oh and do they have somewhere that sells butterbeer? I really like that stuff." She rubbed her hands over her stomach. "Warms you right up and makes feel all happy and stuff." Not that she was ever unhappy mind you.

She cocked her head to the side and gave Carter a puzzled look. "Why would be anything but simple? I can hang out with a guy have some fun and then be on my merry way. I don't have to answer to anyone. I don't have to worry about hurting someone's feelings. I can be friends with whoever I want." She shrugged her shoulders again, "What's not to like about that?"

Scarlett walked to the pumpkin patch,she weaved through the pumpkins and it made her hungry.like really!She found a nice place to sit and put her sunglasses on and faced the sun it was so warm.Scarlett put her chin on her knees and looked at her yellow Converse and her Huffie scarf.she was begining to love yellow.

"Scar!" Katie said as she ran over to her cousin and sat next to her.

"Katie!" Scarlett jumped on her cousin!man she had missed her.
"how is my fave snake?" she let Katie sit up Scarlett had squished her to the ground.hehe!

Katie hugged Scar back even though Scar was more jumping on then hugging, "I am very good, you?" Katie asked back at Scar, "I have decided to give out nicknames" Katie said with a smile.

Scarlett giggled."I'm glad!I'm so happy I saw you,i mean it's been forever!" she huffed.she had to make more time or her cousin!
Scarlett smiled broadly."nicknames!what like?" she laughed."I'll give you one!" she said excitedly."hmmm..." she said thoughtfuly.

"I know!" Katie said, she totally agreed with her cousin there, she needs to make more time for her and her cous.
"Like you could be 'The Princess Of Hufflepuff'" Katie giggled.

Scarlett smiled at Katie."good and remember you can come over to mine anytime!" she beamed."although I don't want to go home now!I love Hogwarts." she pouted and folded her arms across her chest.
Scarlett burst out laughing."'Scarlett The Princess Of Hufflepuff!' that has a nice ring to it" she stood up and begun to wave as if she was the Queen.and went into fits of laughter.
"how about 'The Beauty Of Slytherin' for you?or! 'The Queen Of The Snakes'...the last one kind of sounds funny.but you are!"she smiled happily.
