Hands in pockets Joshua Carter was wandering around the grounds aimlessly just to kill some free time. And he had quite much free time since he was not interested in any homework or school stuff. Why would he deal with all the homework and school stuff when they had Ravenclaws for that? Of course it would be pointless so he kept walking without even thinking about a single homework.

And he walked and walked till his dark brown eyes caught the sight of a familiar blue shirt. A boy wearing a Chelsea jersey. Bahahahaha. Chelsea. This boy could be no one but the lame Slytherin Evan Cartwright. Then he realised that the boy had a ball and it looked like he was practicing shooting skills.

Aaand Josh had a perfect idea for him to develop his shooting skills.

Hehehehehe.

Then...the moment he realised that the other boy was backing to shoot, acting quick Josh ran to the ball from the other side and shot as hard as he could aiming the Slytherin's big head.

Evan was really having a good time there, practising some shooting. So, he was still good after all, it revealed. He had apparently forgotten how to curve a ball properly, but he could still shoot at the target he wanted. Nice. As he was focused on his ball and shooting, the blondie didn't notice Joshua coming. He backed away, looking back as well not to stomp on a rock or something when...

"You'd better bring that ball ba--"

SMACK!

"AAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

Before Evan could even register what Josh was doing, he heard a loud noise, and then felt an unbearable pain in his forehead. He fell on his knees, holding the hurt area. Feeling a liquid on his hand, he looked at his hand. "You bloody--!" he cursed quite loudly, of course directed at Josh. There was a lot of blood coming from his forehead, from his right eyebrow to be exact, and he couldn't even touch there. He leaned on, head parallel to the ground to avoid any blood coming down to his eye. That was a lot of blood even on the ground from his eyebrow! Drawing his wand, he performed an "Episkey," and the bleeding slowed down, though it was a poor spell. There was no way he would fight with Josh in this state, he wouldn't even see. Cursing rather loudly again, he got up and did a very ugly hand move towards Josh with his left hand as he held his eyebrow with his right. "You're gonna pay it, chick," he spat. Getting his ball to his left, he went off towards the castle. He would get his revenge once he tended to this stupid eyebrow and cleaned his precious!Chelsea shirt.

''BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!''

Watching the result of his fine shoot Josh laughed out loudly so much that even for a moment he thought he was not going to be able to stand still on his feet. ''Here. That was a perfect example on how to shoot well.'' the Gryffindor boy teased once his laughter was finally over. ''Got what i mean?''

He was not sure if the Slytherin got it but this was the Gryffindor's revenge for calling him names before other people. Yeah Josh never forgot that.

Anyway...

Still smirking the Gryffindor boy watched Evan proceed towards the castle. Apparently his job here was done. So after looking around for a moment he made his way towards the lake.

Lilyana was walking around the grounds and decided to go to the front gate. As she arrived there, she saw another person standing there. She walked up to him smiling and said, Hi! I think I may have met you before, but I'm not sure. I'm Lilyana!

Adam looked up- aww she was cute, little first year speaking to him, brave very brave, nah- Adam's a nice guy. "Really- Well I'm Burn- Adam Burn."He said standing up and shaking her hand.

Lilyana laughed and shook his hand. You sound like James Bond! My mother looooves James Bond. She smiled again thinking of her mom and her funny obsessions. So what brings you to the gate this fine day? She asked, hoping to get to know him...even though he was older than her.

Adam looked at the girl. She was a curious one, but she seemed nice at the very least. "Just enjoying the day and bright blue sky- even though that cloud over there suggests a rainstorm."Adam said with a chuckle.He had been here to see the trees grow and to people watch.

Yeah, me too. I hope it brings a storm. I like storms, most of the time anyways. She said giggling. Lilyana looked around at the gate and studied it a bit. Has anyone ever tried to climb this thing? Just for fun? I bet they'd get thrown off by some spell though...probably a bad idea... She then realized that she had almost been talking to herself. She blushed, looked back at Adam and said, Sorry, I tend to ramble and talk to myself a lot. Its a bad habit of mine. I just don't like awkward silences and things. Most people think I'm really odd. And now I'll shut up because I'm rambling. Great. She bit her lip, hoping that Adam wouldn't just leave now. This was when most people did, when she started rambling.

Adam raised an eyebrow at this girl. She was so nervous, or maybe that really was how she acted. Adam didn't really care if she rambled. "No no- go on- talking to yourself helps you think more clearly , it lets you live in the moment, you know. It can get weird and odd at times, but you'll find friends who like you for you- and now I am starting to sound like you."Adam said smiling at her, she was rubbing off on him.

Lilyana laughed. Oh-my bad! You may not want to sound like me. I'm pretty much a dork! But then again, I am an adolescent. Its what we are! But thanks for the un...annoyance of my stupid habits I guess? I think I just over-analyze things too much. I should just keep quiet and sound like a normal 11 year old girl. Not like one that reads too much and likes to learn. That's just unheard of! She said, putting her hand to her forehead dramatically.

"Learning and reading isn't abnormal- in fact that's how my girlfriend Kurumi- don't know if you've ever talked to her- that's how she is. Whenever she's disappointed in me she makes it into some life story, or gives me cakes- she's a awesome baker...Yeah careful- over anaylizing things can get dangerous in certain situations..."

Yeah I know her. She's really nice! And she is a good baker, I ate one of her cookies. So, your pretty much saying she over-reacts on things? Girls tend to do that, let me just tell you, so you might as well get used to it! I try to keep my over-analyzation to a minimum though...its gotten me in trouble before. Lilyana said. She had gotten in trouble by one of her teachers before she had came to Hogwarts for over-analyzing what the teacher was lecturing about. She ended up getting into a debate with the teacher, and eventually received a demerit for excessive talking. It was stupid, Lilyana still thought.

"It took a while, but she's easy to hang around...Girls do tend to be like that, and to make a mistake a life story or drama- I'm a little drama filled this year, but it all seems to be dying down...Can I ask you something, got any friends- at least Gryffie's ...? I'm only wondering because I usually just see you talking to Rex the dancer..."Adam said shrugging his shoulders.

Lilyana smiled.Well, thats good. It wouldn't be a very good relationship if you couldn't stand your own girlfriend! But yes, sadly we do that. Don't know why, but we do. Its dumb. But whatever! I'm sure all your drama will dissolve at some point soon. It should anyways. Lilyana hated when drama filled up people's brains. It just corrupts relationships with other people.
Well, not really. Not many people talk to me, like I said. Pretty much Rex is the only person who's talked to me for an extended period of time and more than once or twice. I'm kind of an introvert naturally. But I do want to make friends, you know. It's just kind of hard for me, I guess.

"I've got a ton of Gryffindor girls, and some nice Slytherin friends that I could have you meet up with...They're all really nice."Adam told her. Fee would be a nice match, and Kurumi too- those two could go on hours about anaylizing things and studying together. "I'll set you up one of these days in the common room."

That's really nice of you. Thanks! Lilyana smiled at him. The Slytherins seem to be nicer than people warned me that they would be. I've ran into a couple of them on accident and they didn't kill me like I was expecting! I guess they're evolving, which is a good thing!

"I know- I used to date a slytherin snake- she was overpowering but not mean- most my girl friends are snakes, and they are sweeter than our house- which is odd, haha."Adam laughed at himself. Fee was funny and caring, and Ever was sweet, shy and innocent...

Going for the opposing women, huh? She said, pushing his arm playfully. Well, it doesn't really matter what house they're in to me. I rather care more about the personality myself.

The boy had the worst luck ever, the only spider toy left was the pink one, he had no choice, which was sort of annoying but he managed to make a color-changing spell and turned it navy. He didn't want the spider toy to be black, so navy would do just fine.

Treyen started easy, only toying around with the fake spider on the grounds. He decided the best place to start was the beginning. The gates. That's why he was here for, tempting Acromantulas to come and get him. Mwahaha.

Either way, he placed the navy toy on a rock and took ten steps back. Wand in hand, and trying to remember the figure-8 movement the boy said, "Arania Exumai!" and the thing was knocked off the rock in the most awkward way imaginable (it sort of made him remember the huge spider he'd done that to while it was thinking of eating Salander.

The downside, it hit a nearby tree, and the fluffy toy sort of broke, because there was cotton coming out of it. Oops. In class the toy got burned, and now...he broke the spider. Awesome, this spell was. But fear not, Saylen! He'll charm it back together.

And that's when he decided to leave and get a bit closer to the castle, somewhere where he'd know no bird would want to eat the cotton away.

Marie had a letter she needed to write and the only place she could think to write this particular letter was at the front gate. She had been putting it off for a long time but it really was time she wrote to Mina. She couldn't hide from her forever. It was time she faced what she had done and just get it over with. Sure, Mina said she had forgiven her but that still didn't let Marie off the hook. She knew Mina deserved an explanation from her.

She pulled out Mina's letter and read it again.


Putting the letter down she grabbed her parchment and quill and started writing.



She read the letter over before folding it up and putting it in an envelope. So she may have told a little lie in the letter but Mina didn't need to know that Evan had kissed her first. No need in causing any more trouble for him. Satisfied that the letter sounded okay she stuffed it in her bag. She would find Gizmo later and send the letter off.

For now though she needed to get started on the CoMC homework assignment. Pulling the toy spider out of her bag she turned it over and over looking at it. Hmph, nothing scary about this thing. Unlike those crazy things in the forest. Now where to put this so it looks intimidating. Like a stuffed green spider could ever look scary. Eh whatever, it was just an assignment anyway.

Deciding the best place to put it was right next to the gate she got up and went to place the spider there. Now it wold look like it had just come through the gate and was coming after her. Taking her wand out of its holster she went and sat back down leaning against the rock where she had been sitting all along. Staring at the spider she pointed her wand at it and moved it in the figure eight shape while shouting "Arania Exumai!". Instantly the spider flipped over and lay there all helpless with it's legs in the air.

"HA! Take that you crazy eight legged freak!" she shouted at the toy. Okay, so maybe she wouldn't be so confident with a real acromantula, but hey, this was just a toy. After practicing a few more times maybe she would sneak back to the forest and try it on the real thing.

NOT!

It was getting towards the end of the year which meant studying, exams, last minute pranks, and heading home. Normally all of those things didn't bug her in the slightest unless one of those pranks happened to be played on her, but it was the last part that was really getting to her this year.

Evelyn had been rather great during the first months of summer, switching off from living at Destiny's and the new house Rae was kindly sharing with her. She didn't know why she was so upset about it now though. It was what she wanted wasn't it? To get away from...her parent's hateful stare? From the stupid house? That held that stupid room and the stupid books that...and that stupid little brother!? However, it was not the same this time around. The Slytherin was beginning to realize that perhaps, she made a mistake. She admitted to herself finally, that this was her fault and she set herself up for this, yet, she always thought her parents would one day forgive and forget. What she failed to think of though, was that day wouldn't be coming any time soon. If ever.

Kicking a rock as hard as she could, the scowl and angry glare on her face was slowly turning to one of misery and sadness. Feeling so useless and tired, the fourteen year old girl decided to go for a walk, and it wasn't surprising that she ended up here. Close to the front gate was she? The tops of the black gate was noticeable, so the Slytherin must have been close. She had dreams of making it through and running home, to open arms. Only dreams though.

O___O!!! What in the world was that!?

Hopping behind a rather large tree, the Slytherin peaked her head out to see who was screaming about an eight legged freak. That could mean only one thing. Those eight legged demon monsters were nearby. Omg! OMGOMGOMG. Wand. Ready. There. Okay. Right. Please, someone tell her, nobody saw her. She didn't want to be eaten! Heck, she couldn't even remember the spell right now for those, little...big...things...

...meep!

*sniffle*

FREEDOM! BWAHAHA!It felt mega good to be out of detention, super duper good. It also felt nice to have HAIR again and NOT be hand, stupid detention. STUPID.STUPID.STUPID. Savannah's green eyes wandered outside the gates, her hand grasped around the iron. The closed gate was really the only thing separating the 18 year old from a free world, a world where SHE was an adult.

Was it odd she was looking forward to that day? That day where she WOULDN'T be a student anymore? Meh, probably.

All she knew was that she wanted out PRONTO. Hehhh.

Cass needed a place to practice killing spiders for CoMC class, and the front gates was not the place for it. She started to turn around and leave when she noticed an older girl by the gate, looking sort of...wistfully at the land outside it. So she walked up to her and said the first thing that came into her head "Hello."

One hand was latched onto the gate, the other was running through her own blonde curls. Savannah was silent, silent for once. *snort* Everything seemed silent actually, no one was out here.....

......well until NOW anyway.

Savannah turned around, hearing a younger girl's voice. Her hand was off the gate now, and was instead in the pocket of her leather jacket. Savannah eyed the younger blonde for a few seconds, obviously a first or a second year, there was no doubt about it. Meh, she was friendly, and pretty so Savannah might as well be nice. "Hey."She huffed, biting her lip. "It's weird thinking the term is ending so soon, isn't it?"
