Amy skipped up to the front of the train toward the snack trolley "Hello" she said kindly to the snack lady "can I have 2 chocolate frogs and a pack of droobles gum?"she set her money on the counter that she hoped it'd be enough.

Hugo walked up to the lady. He needed a snack. "Can I have a pack of every flavor beans please?" he asked.

His belongings tucked away at the luggage car, Salander strolled the narrow passage of the train hunting down the food trolley. He may have had his fill at the feast, but after the rush job of crushing packing his things, he felt like he could eat a whole cow.

Given that the food trolley would have no such kind, the Slytherin lad took a couple of pasties and started eating them right off the trolley. He took an armful more of them, a handful of jelly slugs and even a couple of cauldron cakes. Between mouthfuls he pointed the trolley lady for a drink and dumped a handful of coins, knowing that would more than cover his purchases. With one last swipe at an extra pastie he slowly made his way up the train.

Rene was tired of seating the compartment alone. She decide to find the trolley and get some chocolate. Ipod still in her hand she danced unoticeable up to the cart. Taking out one earphone " Can I have three choclate frogs" she said and waited. Turning her head she saw some other students waiting for there order, she gave a nod and returned her eyes to her music.

Riley had finally escaped from the 'Chocolate Party' in the middle of the train and made his way to the food trolley. The Gryffindor could only take so much chocolate, seeing as it wasn't really his choice of sweets. Making his way to stand in line, he began to think of what he would like to eat.

He had grown rather fond of Ice mice since his last visit to Hogsmeade.

Lexi wandered aimlessly through the corridor of the train. Wow. She had just broken up with Finlay. That was crazy. She was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she was paying no attention to where she was going... A moment later she ran slap into someone and toppled over onto her bum. She gave a groan and began to apologize before she even looked up. "I am so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going. Gah I am such a klutz," she muttered as her cheeks flamed red.

Riley was moving towards the front of the line now and his choice was no in dire need to be made. Ice mice? oooh or Bertie Bott's? He began to pull his money bag out when someone ran right into his back and touched his BUTT!!!! *gasp*

"Excuse me?! Watch where you are going!" Riley turned around, his face flushed as he looked for the culprit. Then he looked at the ground, expecting some tiny first year to have done it, obviously attracted to him but just too scared to show themselves. However it was not some runt firstie but Lexi Denver. "Oh hello there Lexi." he said reaching down to help her up and to scoop the 4 or so Galleons that had fallen from his money pouch. "Sorry to yell at you like that."

Lexi winced slightly when she felt her hand graze the person's bum. Ohhh man. How embarrassing! Then with the shouting. She groaned again and covered her face with her hands. Wait...

Looking up she started to laugh lightly. "Hey Riley, sorry about that... I was distracted. I am so embarrassed that I touched your bum. I am soooo sorry about that," she said whispering the last. Gah that WAS embarrassing. Taking his hand she pulled herself up and just at that moment the train lurched around a turn and she fell into him again. "Seriously! I swear I am not trying to grope you, Riley!" she said through fits of laughter.

Riley's face began to turn back to its usual paleness that accentuated his grey eyes and dark hair but then the train (working in either his or Lexi's favor) decided it was time they 'bumped' into each other again. Well now...

'Suuure' Riley thought to himself as he chuckled on the outside. He really couldn't blame her. He was actually a bit suprised this was the first time he had been 'bumped' into so far this train ride. "It's no problem Lex." he said squeezng her hand once before letting her go. Just making sure that 'train' doesn't 'stop' and make her 'fall' again. He was dying laughing on the inside and a little on the outside too since she was. "So what's up girlie?" he asked giving his money to the trolley woman and getting his ice mice.

Lexi gave a little snortle as she squeezed Riley's hand in return. She removed her hand from his to cover her nose and mouth as her face flushed once again. Crud. She decided that leaning against the wall was safer for her. So that is what she did as she asked for a packet of droobles and a pumpkin pasty.

Digging in her pocket she handed the money over and smiled at Riley. "Uhh. Not much is up really. I just uh... meh whatever. Nothing much. Have you any plans for the holiday?" she said. Maybe telling the boy she had like JUST broken up with her boyfriend was a bad idea. LOL. She gave a few more random giggles and pushed her blonde hair from her face.

Ahhh, Riley loved the way girls acted around him, especially cute blondes. Smiling, the Gryffindor watched her as she bought the candy for herself. "Ooh trade one?" he asked her. Without waiting for an answer he took one of her Droobles and handed over an ice mouse. "I forgot how much I liked these." he said grinning cheekily at his now blue-gum covered teeth.

When she began to speak, Riley narrowed his eyes. She wasn't a very good lier, there was obviously something wrong, but he was not a skilled mind reader, nor did he think he could ever become one. And plus he wasn't going to ask her and be rude so he just let it go. If she wanted to talk about it she would, Riley had learned that about girls, if they wanted you to know something they would definately talk about it. "Ummm the Holidays? Not much really." he started placing his hands in the pokets of his jeans. "We are just spending it at home I think, oooh my twin sister Lea is going to be at Hogwarts next term." he added excitedly.

"What about you?" Riley asked quickly, he often forgot to ask others about themselves, never really was a problem until he started at Hogwarts.

Lexi giggled as Riley stole one of her Droobles. She popped the ice mouse in her mouth though and immediately her teeth began to chatter and her lips turned blue. Once that passed she giggled and smiled.

Lexi didn't miss the eye narrowing but she didn't elaborate on anything... "Ohhh your sister. That is awesome! I can't wait to meet her and welcome her to Hogwarts!" Lexi exclaimed. That WAS exciting. New housemates made her smile.

Then the holiday question made her bottom lip poke out a little bit and wibble. Sniffling she shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know really. My brothers and myself are going off for a bit then I was supposed to have a holiday with my b-b-boyfriend, but I broke up with him... Like a little while ago," she said as she blinked back tears and turned her big brown eyes to Riley. She looked so pitiful. Riley KNOWS he wants to hug her. He SO does.

Watching Lexi's physical reaction to one of the ice mice, Riley blew a bubble with the Drooble's gum and let it pop and leave streched gum all over the outside of his lips. Grinning goofily he wiggled his eyebrows playfully, then doubled over in laughter.

After wiping off the gum mess, Riley gauged Lexi's enthusiasm on the subject of his twin. "Yeah she is really excited, she kept writing me throughout the term asking me any tiny question she could think of. I swear the owl barely got here and had time to rest before another one had arrived with more questions." he chuckled. It would be fun to have his sister here though, he had missed her. People would finally see how different they were though.

Then the mention of break brought Lexi to tears. Man he was going to miss Hogwarts too but not THAT much. Ohh her boyfriend. Wasn't it that Finlay kid? A hufflepuff. Ugh. But he had met him and he wasn't all that bad. But oooh that meant as in the past though right, her old boyfriend. Woot! Oh and then she was crying again. He looked around and was at first at a loss for what to do. This is the kind of thing Lea was good at. He then thought of something and walked forward and pulled her into a hug. "It will be ok Lexi."

Lexi chuckled at Riley covered in gum. He was just what she needed. Indeed. Good times. He went on to speak about his twin which was AWESOME. "Gah isn't it awesome to think about the first time coming to Hogwarts. It is so exciting," she said with a big, bright smile.

That smile melted away with her sadness. Sigh. Letting Riley hug her she lay her head against his chest and wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you, Riley," she croaked out as she wiped her eyes on his robes. Heh. She clung to him for dear life as she cried softly. Sniffling she looked up at him and smiled wetly, "You have really great timing. You were right here when I needed you." Was it a sign? Hahaha No probably not. She was just upset and there he was.

Riley hugged her back, ignoring the slight wiping of her tears onto his robes. Hopefully they were all tears and not something....worse. *shiver* Oh back to being nice and all hugging like. "Oh its no problem Lexi, you are my friend and thats what we are for, right?" he said feeling her arms around his back then resting his chin on the top of her head.

"I'm really glad I could help you." he sighed. "You know what, since you don't have much planned for the break, perhaps you could come over to my house or we can hang out in Diagon Alley some?" he said happily trying to cheer her up.

Lexi smiled to herself as she felt him rest his chin on her head. That was really cute. He was so much nicer than Finn. Sniffling a bit more she broke the hug and took his hand as he spoke. "That would be awesome, Riley. I would really enjoy spending some time with you... I mean... you know. Yes, that sounds like a plan. I will owl you," she said with her cheeks burning red again. She cheered up immensely during her talk with Riley despite her outburst of tears. He really was a great friend. "Maybe I will find your compartment in a bit. I need to get back to my brother," she suggested. Dropping his hand she leaned up on tippy toes and planted a cute little kiss right on his cheek before turning to dash off through the train.

...

Wait... did she really just do that?

Riley nodded and eyed her hand in his for a second. "I thought you would enjoy it." he grinned. He would take her anywhere she wanted to go in Diagon Alley, he really liked it there and hadn't gotten a chance to explore all of it last time. Before he could mention any specifics she mentioned seeing him later, that she needed to find her brother. Ugh, Riley didn't like him if it was the same from Florean's last summer. Oh well, it was her family and he was going to have to deal with him eventually.

Before he could say goodbye, however Lexi....kissed him! On the cheek but still it was her lips contacting HIS cheek! As he watched her leave he grinned brightly and began to whisper to himself. "That's right, Riley Sinclair is back." and he strolled on back to his compartment, absently eating an Ice mouse.

Ugh!!

Just ugh!

This train ride was totally different from the one she took to come to Hogwarts. She was all excited and happy on that train ride. But this one was a little different.

Mia looked over the food trolley trying to decide just what was going to make her feel better. "A pumpkin pasty and two cauldron cakes please." She said the food lady while fishing in her pockets for some coins and handing them over.

She scooped up her purchases and turned on her heel staring blankly up the train's corridors. She had no idea where to go from here. Placing the pasty and one cauldron cake into her pocket, Mia couldn't help the small smile that touched her lips. Funny she should pick the two pieces of food that had led her to meet Nik.

Sigh.

Teenage heartache sucked big time.

*Matty had been doing his best to avoid Mia and so far he had done a good job. But that meant trying to hide and stay away from places he knew she'd be, and that meant he had missed breakfast. Ducking into the trolley he ordered enough food to fill his pockets and arms, paid and started to head out when he saw Mia.*

The blank stare lasted for a few moments before something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Blinking a couple of times, Mia turned to see Matty ordering some food and she took a step to her left and blocked the doorway.

"Hello Matthias." She said quietly when he turned around. He was going to talk to her whether he liked it or not.

"M-M-Mia!" *In a panic he dropped his food on the floor. Bending down he gathered them up fast and stood back up.*
"H-How are y-y-y-you?"

Shaking her head at his clumsiness and stuttering, Mia moved forward to help him pick them up but he got there before. So she stood directly in front of him not sure how things stood between the two of them. "I'm okay." She replied and not even bothering to smile because quite frankly she wasn't okay.

"How are you doing Matthias?"

"F-f-fine-" *As hard as he tried he could not find a way around her. Truth be told he wasn't not fine. He had to spend the end of the year hiding from his only friend because he was too stupid to figure out his feelings. He could tell by the look on her face that she was not okay at all. For some reason he could not look her in the eyes.*

Throwing up her hands, Mia made an exasperated noise in her throat. He was one of her best friends and yet they were standing there not knowing what to say to each other. She was usually laid back and easy going but there was no way she was going to let him walk away from her again.

"I am not letting you leave here until you talk to me. What happened that day in the courtyard? What don't you like about Nik? And why can't you look at me?"
