He wasn't too sure what he was walking into, or rather towards. The sound of shouting and anger only reached him by the time he rounded the corner, drawing himself out of his quiet, personal thoughts; and quite abruptly too. There was the brief consideration of waving to the stupefy spell as it went by, but the realization that it was a stupify spell halted him in mid step. What in Merlin's tangled beard was a stupify spell doing going on. And wait...did someone say attacking? Rapid blink and hesitant approach.

"Uhm guys...dueling outside of..." Classroom? "Dueling is prohibited on the grounds....you're liable to hit someone with one of those deflected spells." Because a knocked-out first year by a random stupify spell would go over well. "Maybe you both need a time out." Because talking obviously wasn't going over well.

His eyes caught sight of Danika nearby, and he gave her a small, tight smile as he stopped beside her, a safe distance away from the dueling ground. And they were older students too. Seriously.

She'd managed to block out the voices outside, clearly no one was thinking of using magic anymore and the boy and girl got separated. There was no point in keep on listening to something that wasn't there, right?

Except. The voice. The voice she heard was rather familiar to her ears. She looked up, away from the book, only to find Sabel talking to the two fighting students.

Danika smiled. "Savel, hoe are you?" she asked, and from the corner of her eye she eyed the two fighting ones, "Do you knoe them?" it was almost a whisper, so only Sabel would hear.

Now was his chance. Adam slowly shuffled up to one of the Durmstrnag students."Umm, hello. How are you? Are you going to compete in the Tournament?"He asked quietly.

She looked a little intimadating. So Adam stood a few feet back in case she rushed him or something of the sort.

Esme didn't take her eyes off Eben when Sabel spoke but she smiled. "Sabel, how nice to see you. Maybe you can teach Wallace here some manners, since he is so sadly lacking them." She spoke a little louder, as though she was talking to a person who was hard of hearing. "Hear that Wallace? Sabel here is one of the few gentlemen in this place." She lowered her wand, but did not holster it. She didn't trust Eben at all.

In fact, Esme made it her policy not to trust anyone. Ever.

He did much the same as Danika; speaking without removing his eyes from the two. Frankly, their stances and expressions, let alone tones of voice, were putting him on edge. "I am well...worried. How about yourself, Danika? Finding Hogwarts to your taste?" Except for perhaps, you know, the dueling students, which he should probably introduce. "That's Esme," He nodded to the girl who seemed ready to dye Merlin's beard black, "And that's..." Who was that?

Oh, well that solved that problem. "That's Wallace...apparently." He managed a slight incline of his head to Esme. "Nice to see you again, though a less strung meeting would have been nice." Then his eyes flicked to the other boy, Wallace, frowning a little. "I'm...not sure teaching is a concept either of you are open to at the moment. Seriously, you both need a time out before you end up hurting someone other than each other." Because telling them they were going to hurt each other would only spur them on; it was, after all, what they seemed to want to do. At least Esme was lowering her guard. He eyed Wallace expectantly.

And who was this?

Oh, another Gryffindor, but one of the smallest.

"Hello" she said, tilting her head slightly to one side, "I am doing vell" and then his real question was asked, "I most certainly vant to" and if she was to be alive for the day it started then she will compete, of course, if not, well..then no.

"I am Danika, vy the vay" she said, with a nod, and now the boy should go away, there were older students drawing wands near him, it is not safe.

So, go away, little boy, after you've introduced yourself, that is.

Oh, well, that pretty much answered Danika's question, didn't it?

At least the girl knew Sabel.

Once again, Danika wasn't the one to meddle, and she simply closed the book, and leaned farther more to the column, watching both the girl's reaction as the boy's, and keeping an eye out for the little guy who decided this was the best time for introductions.

Oh. "Vorried? Vhat avout?" it was so early in the school year to be worried about something, was it not?

She paid little attention to his questions, the answers were slightly obvious. She was reading a book, which meant she was either bored or investigating something. This time being the bored part the truth. And about Hogwarts, well, entertaining, thanks to the fight.

Danika nodded, carefully eying both the students Sabel was...somehow introducing.

Adam told Danika "Hello..."Looked around and saw wands. Were they that serious that they were gonna attack him if he kept talking to her."Well, nice to meet you...I hope to see you compete..."Adam said backing away, still keeping eye contact. This was scary, he sure wished he had brought Lukas or Kurumi along, they could have defended him too.

"About..." He nearly found himself mentioning home and snapped his mouth closed so hard he almost bit his tongue. Shaking his head, he inclined it towards the two duelers. "Them."

Ever since his first year at Hogwarts when Sam Huxley attacked the castle and students had been turned on one another, unnecessary wand pointing was a bit of a concern. "What are you reading?" A quick glance down didn't get him much of an answer, since she seemed not to be on to hand them out easily anyways.

Oh, but he didn't say his name.

It didn't matter, though, the best thing that happened was him walking away, away from danger, or possible danger, anyway.

"Thanc you" she said, with a small smile.

He was a good kid, stepping away. Perfect.

Danika chuckled, softly, "They are nothing to ve vorried avout" she said, dismissing them with her free hand. They were older students, weren't they? So, as long as no one else was hurt, then it was all okay.

But the girl (Esme) did need to calm herself, though. It wouldn't do her any good, and she'd already scared a little boy (Adam).

What?

Sabel's question caught her off guard, not that it would be something he'd be able to notice. "I found this is in the Library" along with Cedric, the Hufflepuff Prefect, "It is a story vritten in Runes" she nodded, slightly caressing the cover of the book with her free hand.

"Speaking of reading..." she remembered there was something she'd been meaning to ask him, "...is this Flying Dutchman of yours somevhere I can look it up?" she asked, her dark gray eyes facing Sabel now.

Viky didn't seem that bothered at being only the second Gryffindor he's met. That's good, because he couldn't be bothered with a whiny girl who got annoyed at him just because he was the first Slytherin she had met, yet she was the only Gryffie he had met. It wasn't a big deal really. "I'm glad you're not that bothered about it. But I have to say, you're much nicer than the other Gryffie I've met." - no, Cam was lovely, just at first she was annoyed that he was stealing her sunlight, which was a reason to dislike her, but Jack would like her even if she didn't like him, but they'd grown up for about 5 minutes for introductions, then resumed to the usual banter.

"Oh good. Because your is hair is lovely, and I'm most likely going to end up doing it again." Jack warned her with a smile. Probably, without thinking, his fingers would appear intertwined in her again, but because she didn't mind, he wouldn't feel embarrassed this time. "So, love, why are you new to Hogwarts? Transfer from another school or something?"

Emmy was a little surprised to hear Ling's name - she supposed it must have showed on her face, for Jay apologised. I guess Sammy must have filled him in... she thought.
"No, no, that's ok Jay - I don't mind, really I don't!" and she was surprised to find that she was speaking the truth! "Hey - d'you want a cupcake? It's chocolate chip - baked 'em myself, not half an hour ago!" she brandished the tin at him.

Well, that was rude. Fate blinked, slightly taken aback. That would be one on her list. That Viktoriya? Whatever the girls name was, would have to watch out, especially if she didn't want to see her mean streak. With a glare, she turned on her heel, and stalked away to the other side of the courtyard, her anger simmering. WHAT WAS WITH THESE STUDENTS! Jeeeeeez.

Folding her arms across her chest, she peered around the courtyard, wondering who to approach. Spying a couple of students, who were talking close by, she walked on over to them. Confidence was rising in her, and nothing was going to bring her down. "Hello," she said, closing the distance between the students and herself, a smirk appearing on her lips, "I'm Fate."

Emmy whirled round to see a Slytherin girl introducing herself.
"Oh! Um, hi Fate - interesting name. I'm Emmy, by the way..." she wondered whether this 'Fate' would be nice - or evil?

Fate blinked at the girl, not expecting anyone to answer her. Brushing her slight shock aside, she let her smirk appear back on her face. The girl looked slightly younger than herself. "Hello Emmy," She said, giving the girl a friendly smile. It was easy for Fate to turn her kindness on and off. Flicking her hair shoulder, it fell neatly on her back. She had another gaze around the courtyard, narrowing her eyes slightly.

Looking back at the girl, she let her eyes widen back again. "Have you met many nice people here?" She asked, cocking her head to the side slightly, and raising an eyebrow.

Emmy scrutinized the girl before her - she seemed to be a couple of years older than her, probably fourth or fifth year. Emmy had made a mental note never to trust any Slytherin, particularly if they happen to be older, so she remained watchful, and wouldn't let her guard down for a moment.
"Um, a few, yeah... So, um, what year are you in?" she said casually.

Was the girl getting nervous? Oh well, Fate was in a foul mood, so she wasn't about to let her guard down. She was exceptionally good at building walls, rather than bridges. "I'm in my fifth year," She said, slightly dismissively. "But it's my first at Hogwarts," she added, with a subtle roll of her eyes. Stupid school. "What year are you in? I'm gathering you're younger than me, right?"

Eben put his wand away as Esme insulted him again and other students began to get involved with everything. He hoped that no one was going to go off and report anything on him for this.

Sliding his wand up his sleeve and grabbing his book that had fallen to the ground, again, Eben attempted to go read in peace, as far away from Esme Lennox as possible so he didn't start hexing her and actually hitting her this time.

'Keep your head down, and don't cause any trouble.'

The words passed through his head as he thought back to the last conversation that he had had with his father since attending Hogwarts. It was becoming harder to follow those instructions with someone who insisted on tormenting him.

Esme took a steadying breath as Eben put his wand away and picked up his book. She hadn't been scared of him but she was aware that the situation had become the definition of 'getting into trouble', which she had been warned not to do. She took another deep breath and put her wand away, plastering a smile onto her face and walking over to Sabel, still keeping one eye on Eben, not putting it past him to cast on her when her back was turned.

"Hello Sabel, how are you?" She asked politely, her whole counternance clam and happy, as though the ugly little encounter hadn't happened at all. She turned to the girl from Durmstrang, holding out a hand for her to shake. "Hello, I'm Esme Lennox."

It may have been quite the switch externally but inside she was still boiling mad that Eben had raised his hand to strike her. She could defend herself against spells but a physical blow was something different. None of her anger seeped through to the surface though, she kept it pushed down in the pit of her stomach.

"Nice to meet," Rowan smiled at the older girl. "I'm Rowan, and this is Panda," she said, holding up the little black kitten.

There was a visible sigh of relief and release of tension as all wands were holstered and both parties seemed to take a bit of a time-out from each other. At least now, no Professors would be getting involved and no students would get in trouble for what he hoped had been a simple misunderstanding.

Letting out a huff of air, he dropped onto the ledge beside Danika and eyed Esme as she came over. "Much better now that you and Wallace aren't considering sending one another to detention." It was an effort not to ask why they had drawn wands in the first place, but he knew that if he did, he would just lapse into one of his morality rants, and he really wasn't interested in that right now.

Instead he turned his attention to Danika, eying the book, which she had very briefly described, with curiosity. Holding out one hand, he silently asked if he could see it, finding the concept of a story written in runes rather unique. "I'm not sure that the Wizards will have any muggle legends or myths in any of their books here. They seem to kind of leave that part of our history out sometimes. I would tell you as much as I knew, if I knew more than the plot from the movie that portrays it. Unfortunately I'm not quite certain on the actual legend. Hollywood doesn't always get it right."

Danika nodded, "Esme. I am Danika Malik" she said, as she shook the girl's hand. "Nice to meet you" and truly it was a nice way of meeting someone, you know, after an almost-fight situation. Very, very nice.

But, people seem to be slightly calmer, and the little boy had gone away.

It was as if nothing ever happened.

And now back to Sabel, wait, did he want the book? Danika most nicely handed over the book, the page was marked so it wasn't a big deal at all, "Do you read Runes?" she asked, a puzzled expression only her eyes gave away. Surely all the schools had Ancient Runes, but most of them only cared to interpret them, not study them as a language.

Oh. Well, that was understandable, Durmstrang had no books related to non-magicals, she only thought with Hogwarts being as liberal and all, then they'd probably have one. "I see" she said, "Vut, a movie?" she knew that term from somewhere, but missed the meaning at the moment, "Hollywood? Vho or vhat is that you talk avout?" because...was it a person? A place? A thing?

'Well, it's not like it's a big deal or anything' she said with a smile. She didn't really care, to be honest. Oh, she was nicer than this other Gryffindor? Score one for Vikyy! 'That's nice to hear' she said, with a mischevious grin 'But do try not to get on my bad side. Then I can be quite evil, you know. Poor old Jimbo Farley found himself dancing uncontrollably whilst trying to float in the Lake' hehe. Poor guy... though he HAD pushed her in first, you know? So it was only fair. He had it coming.

Viky blushed a little when he said her hair was 'lovely'. 'That's alright' she said again, smiling a little. He was just so damned cute. And now he was asking why she was new 'Yeah, that's it. Transfered from Durmstrang. I lived in Russia since about a month ago' she said, not really wanting to go into detail about the whys and wherefores of the matter. Not that she was sensitive about it, it was just a really loooooong story.

Class schedule. Hmmm, shouldn't she have been given that already?? Oh well. "Well, if there are any classes you'd be interested in seeing I'm sure we'd could go do that." As long as they didn't have to go see Lafay *shudder*

"Cool",she smiled.
She was amazed.
"Awesome, i know so many people who judge by music. Thats just stupid", she sighed.

Time had flown so quickly, it was unbelievable. Already a month had passed.
Fee's friendship with Kita had only grown stronger. She felt like Kita was her unbiological sister.

She smiled widely as she saw Kita holding her little finger up.

"Pinky promise , all the way", she smiled and crossed her litte finger with Kita's.

Nobody could ever break their promise now. Exactly how it should be.
"Well, i actually like fake nails, but i am to much in love with a different nail polish every week", Fee laughed.

Oh yes she was, she kinda collected nail polishes and lipgloss.

Girly-Girl Altert again !!

"Wizarding world, watch out Kita and Fee will go mad in shopping heaven", she said laughing.
Oh yes she could imagine them going into every single shop and freak out.

"Maybe girls are a bit complicated but wouldnt it be boring if they werent? And guys are so much more confusing", she said confused but laughing.
Dreaming about how it would be to find prince charming at the yule ball she happy sighed.

That would be so perfect. Nearly to perfect.

"Oh and at night the stars were shinging and it would be all romantic", she said dreamy.

"Right and the more you try to fix it the worse it gets", she said laughing," i love heats they kinda suit me."
That was a good thing even if she had a bad hair day she looked okay with her hat. Not incredebly amazing but okay.

"Yeah , i love my family", Fee smiled.
She laughed along with Kita. Paul with the pigtail, that was soooo funny. He had looked like a real pig.

"Walking around with a pigtail? Oh glitter, that would be soo funny yet so embarrasing.
