It was the first time anyone has called Heather 'Rose' instead of 'Heather' ah, it reminded her of her mother from which she got the 'Rosemary' part from. After all, she did look a lot like her mother when she was young.

"n-no...i d-don't mind at all...Rose is nice..." She blushed pink.

Ah! so she is Kurumi's friend! She sighed in relief. "y-yes, i am...K-kurumi's one of my f-first new found friends here in Hogwarts...and she's also in the same house as mine..." she answered with her soft voice.

"How are you?" Katie said, she focused then, she tried to read her mind, what was she thinking, ah yes "No need to be shy" Katie said as she put her hand on Rose's shoulder, she wanted to make sure she wasnt shy, There was no need to be shy when with the brave Katie!

"Hawk--iee?" Weird name. And what are 'dekes'? "Did you make up the game?" He was really curious about that. And how is it played? Do you hit the stone towards someone? Most damage = win? If so, it sounds like a fun game. "How is it played? Is it for hurting?" Hurting others physically = fun. Haha, well not really but he thought it was a funny thought.

What did she base the game on anyway? He wasn't sure there were any wizard games that included a stick and a stone...okay maybe there are. But still. "Can I try?" Grab stick, hit stone towards wall with a fancy spin and WIN. That's what he'd gathered so far anyway.

It's sorta like ballet with props.

"oh..oh..I'm fine...and sorry if i'm so shy..." Heather said. "how about you?"

Man these wizards really do know nothing about hockey, guess it's up to me to educate them about the awesome muggle sport.

"No I didn't actually, hockey has existed over 4000 years with early civilizations playing it, it was originally called ball and stick game." And that was all she would say about that, she wasn't about to bore someone with the extensive history of the sport; that could be saved for another time. "Well it's played with two teams, it can be played on the ground or on ice, 5 players from each team are on the playing area at one time, each game consists of 3 periods of 20 minutes each and 4 of the players from each side are pretty much in charge of scoring the goals and knocking other players down."

"The 5th player is the one who is in charge of stopping the ball from crossing the goal line. There is a lot of equipment needed to play, from elbow pads, a helmet, skates to the puck and/or ball as well as the stick. There is also a referee and a lineman to make sure players down go offside or cause any penalties." Again, she could have gone into more detail but since she was talking to a wizard and not one of her muggle friends; then the effort would be rather futile. "People do get hurt, there's people like me around who shove players into boards at like 60 km/h and you never want to be on the receiving end of a check, believe me." Stupid Panthers.. always wanting to have their way because they couldn't handle losing.

"You want to try? It's not as easy as it looks, but if you're up for it sure; you take my stick and try to shoot the ball past me.. I might be a Captain but I can play goalie since I've watched my brother play." Centers never played as goalies though, but meh.

Whoa, talk about a lesson. He wasn't expecting that sort of thing until classes started but it was pretty brief and not that bad. Though some of the stuff she said really did NOT make any sense to him but he got some of the information anyways. Alas, it seems that she didn't make the game up, which really is a shame - it would have made her that much more likable, in Jimbo's eyes.

The 'ball and stick game' sounds about right. Hawkie was just a weird name for it considering it had nothing to do with hawks. The game would be more lethal and funner to watch if there were no pads or referees but hey, that sorta stuff was needed in games.

Besides, it seemed the clueless wizard was right! It's about handling a stick and a ball at the same time that you hurt people. Although you don't hurt people with the stick and the ball, it seems. Still, it sounded like a load of fun. Nothing Jimbo could actually play but something he would enjoy watching. And ice! ICE! That sounds like everybody would be slipping and falling...oh, it's JUST like ballet! Except...ballet on ice. Where everybody slips and falls.

Though it did sound like something Jimbo would have fun trying and failing at. Which is what he was about to do now. He walked over and took the stick from her. As he was grabbing the stick, he nudged the ball, which happened to be very close at the time, and got it past her legs. Looking up at her, he wondered if he got it right. He had managed to get it past her, after all.

Or should he shove her as well?

Hailey watched carefully as he managed to get the ball past her legs, well touche Mr. Wizard Dude. It seemed like she hadn't explained the idea of a goalie well enough since it appeared that he had thought he scored a goal now. "You have to wait until I'm in a proper kneeling position, then you guide the ball around and use the stick to push the ball forward at a rather fast pace so that I've really got a challenge to try to grab the ball." She was preparing for the oncoming pain that was only a matter of time away since Hai knew that this guy was probably going to end up hitting the ball literally at her.

But she wasn't a chicken, she could handle a little pain from getting a ball hitting her without wearing any proper equipment.

Oh. Well. Still. He got it past her. And he was going to do it again.

Fetching the ball from behind her, Jimbo nudged it all the way back. Going a little farther from her, he stood facing her with the stick in his hand and the ball at his feet. Waiting for to be all 'in a proper kneeling position', he 'guided the ball around' and picked up some speed as he got closer to her.

When he was close enough to shoot it past her, he did a ballet twirl and shot the ball to her right. He wasn't even sure if he got it past her or not, but he gave her a shove for good measure. That's what she said happens in hawkie, right?

Oh, shoot, he totally made her fall. Bahaha. Ahh, well. He didn't even shove her that hard but apparently it was enough to make her lose her balance. She might get a few scrapes, but that was the price to pay when someone played hawkie. Or at least, that's what she said.

At the sound of a voice, Aiden's head lifted. He hadn't really seen this girl around before, but when she spoke, that little tidbit got solved - she was new. He wasn't quite in the greatest of moods, but he made an effort with the girl; unfortunately, he found it even harder with Tory because she resembled Ella..

"Hi, Tory," Aiden greeted, mustering up a small smile. "I'm Aiden Chevalier. Nice to meet you." He got rather distracted though when he heard another person crying his name...

His eyes traveled to the source of the voice and Aiden quickly spotted Sadie. Wow.. she didn't seem like she was in the best of states either. Tear-stained and flustered. Perhaps they could sulk together. Hah. "Hey, Sadie." When she extended her hand, displaying the letter that was meant for him, his eyebrows pulled together a bit. Eh. Mixed mail. "Oh, it's okay.. thank you for bringing it to me." He took the letter and he eagerly checked for the return address. Aha, Patrick. He smiled slightly; it really would have been nice it Patrick were just in his year - then Aiden could just talk to his mate about all this stuff going on with Ella and Savannah.

Although he wanted to read it now, he folded the envelope and tucked it away in his pocket for later. Now he would talk with Sadie. "You don't look too high-spirited..." Obviously. "What's up?" Hogwarts had only just begun and already it seemed that this year would be just as dramatic as the last.

"No problem," she responded, shaking her head. She was the messenger was she not? She knew that Patrick and him were friends and she liked Pat very much herself. She knew their past from Hayley who found out from Vanessa. She watched as he folded the letter up and put it in his pocket. She smiled slightly as he said she didn't look well. Obviously she wasn't it.He didn't look too well himself. Rather depressed if she did say so herself.

The girl took a seat beside him and rubbed at more tears on her face. "Just boy drama," she explained, looking out ahead of her. "I really like this boy but he can be so stupid and totally forget about me. This is a lot from me you know. I mean I'm not one to ever cry over any boy," she continued. She had gotten over it and then the feeling had come back. Wait she had never been over it. "What's wrong with you?" she asked him, turning to look over at him.

Vilhelmiina decided to take a walk around the courtyard. It was a beautiful area. She looked around at all of the people with their friends. She noticed that she had slowed down. She pulled her thoughts together and continued her walk.

Preston turned his focus on his sandwich and Ringo. He bit a small piece off in his mouth and chewed it more than necessary. He tore of a piece of crust and fed it to Ringo before petting the top of his head and giving him another piece of crust.

"Y-y-yes." Preston muttered. If only she knew that he had been made fun of it for all his life, she'd leave him alone. But alas, that wasn't the situation was it? Nuh-huh.

Preston took another bite of his sandwich and contemplated how he was going to answer the next question. "M-m-my d-d-daddy b-b-bought him f-f-for me." Preston told her before tearing the remaining sandwich in half and feeding the larger half to Ringo.

All he wanted now was to be alone with Ringo to eat their sandwich in peace, but Preston had a gut feeling that this girl wasn't going to go away soon without getting more questions answered.

Kurumi had heard from someone that they had heard from someone who had heard from someone else who had been told by Katie that Katie was looking for Kurumi in the courtyard. After getting dressed in her usual school robes, she headed down to the courtyard and leaned up against one of the many columns. She hadn't put her long ebony hair up in a pony-tail today, so the gentle breeze made it sway gently. Kurumi took her book out of one of her pockets and started to read while she waited for Katie to show up.

"Kurumi!" Katie said a she ran over and sat next to Kurumi "How are you?" Katie asked as she tried to read the book cover "Watcha reading?" Katie also asked, she loved books so if it was agood book Katie must read it one day.

Kurumi looked up and saw Katie looking at her book with great interest. She turned the cover over to show the kanji title to Katie. She had brought a few books in her native language with her as a means to escape all the excitement and stress that Hogwarts had already started providing her. "Botchan," she smiled handing the book to Katie. "It's about a teacher nicknamed Botchan who has accepted a job teaching mathematics at a middle school in Shikoku...err...a country side area."

Hailey fell over when the boy shoved her a bit, now he had some potential to be a good hockey player although there was plenty more to learn but it was a good start. She got up and inspected her hands and knees, she noticed the scrapes but shrugged anyways.

"Dude, you're good at shoving people; you got a serious potential for this sport. If you're interested, I could teach you more at some point once I have all my proper equipment plus I'll talk to my brother Tyler and he could help me out with more of a demonstration." She replied, noticing that there was a slight trickle of blood coming from her hands.

A little blood wasn't a bad thing, I'm a tough girl there's no need to cry.

Katie flipped though the pages, she handed it back to Kurumi, "Is it good?" Katie asked as she looked at Kurumi again.

So, wait, now she was trying to recruit him? Hmm. He really didn't think he was any good. Especially with that silly ballet twirl. But oookayy, apparently he wasn't even that bad. Apparently he was GOOD. At a sport he'd never even known about two seconds ago. How odd. Maybe he could do that with ANY sport. Too bad they've cancelled Quidditch for this term. He might've tried out for it to see if he was talented enough to make it on pure chance...and that sentence didn't make any sense.

Ah, well. So, should he let himself be recruited our ou non?

Hm. Could he even afford it once classes started? I mean, fifth year means OWLs and OWLs mean studying and doing practically nothing else...

"Maybe. If I've ever got any extra time, it sounds like fun, sure."

"Most Japanese read this book," she explained starting to miss home maybe just a little. It was only what, day 3 or being here? "It was written by a very famous writer a long time ago, so the Japanese is a little difficult to read. There are a lot of old kanji and expressions that I don't know," she laughed. Maybe she needed to do some studying of muggle history in Japan. "It's probably the 4th time I have read it. Somehow, it gives me courage and makes me want to do my best." The thought had crossed her mind more than once to become a teacher, just like Botchan.

"I dont think I will be able to read it then" Katie said, she had no idea on how to speak japanease, she only knew English and German "Whats Japan like?" Katie asked, one day she might want to vist there but she would like to know whats it like.

Where did she even begin? Japan was so different from everything she had seen since coming to English. She hadn't been in any of the cars here, but she wondering if the steering wheel was on the right or left hand side of the car. They were on the right in Japan. She looked up at the clear blue sky as she spoke to Katie. "Spring is the best in Japan," she explained as she closed her eyes to envision it. "The cherry blossom trees are in bloom, so there is a canopy of pink everywhere you go. Every one is free spirited and we have picnics under the cherry trees. They last until night time when lanterns turn on and the cherry blossoms seem to glow as if they were enchanted..." maybe she was getting a little bit homesick.

It souned so nice in Japan, maybe Katie should go there one day, Its sounds so magical!
"Im sure you miss japan very much" Katie said as she put her hand on Kurumi's knee.

It was true, she did. She had never been away from her family before - they were all that she had - and she was missing her brother terribly. Maybe that was why she had attached herself to Josh, he did remind her of her oldest brother Ryunosuke. "It's just weird, being here..." Not to mention all the drama that had happened the first day. It had literally taken hours talking to Adam to get him back to feel good. "I worry about him...I mean...my family."

Travis walked out to the courtyard a smile on his face. HE sat down at a bench and yawned running his hands through his blond hair, he looked around hoping to spot someone to talk to him, he was very bored and tired but mostly bored.

You know what, it was time for MORE SKIPPING. But instead of being saaaad, this time, Nekoda was just BORED. Skipping around the courtyard, she started to him to herself. But that got boriing REAL fast. So she SANG. Completely BELTED it out.

"YOU TASTE JUST LIKE GLITTTER MIXED WITH ROCK 'N' ROLLLLLLL!" Tehe, oh yes, she was singing the crazy muggle. Googoo? GlamGlam? Meh, whatever, something of that sort. And justtt when she was about to continue, she spotted a familiar face before stopping.

"YOU!" It was that one dudeee from Savannah's party. "I KNOW you! Didn't you like, date Savannah?"
