| | The Courtyard A stone square courtyard is what you first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain. |

He shrugged one shoulder, watching her curiously. "We don't have to do linear either. We can always deviate from one topic to another." Why did she seem so skittesh when speaking about muggle things? Was it regarding the talk they had about her Headmaster? "I haven't been to the Northwest Territories yet. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Prince Edward Island and then Northern Ontario, but not up north." Summer vacation? Usually people went places warm, but if she grew up in the cold then warm would be uncomfortable. "Did you enjoy it up there? See any polar bears or penguins?" True. Danika nodded only once, "You are right" but she didn't have a particular question, "I guess I vill get vack to you on that one" said the girl, and she smiled when he mentioned the non-linear part, it will certainly keep her entertained and it will most likely make her feel as if she's not focusing on non-magicals, which was great.
She, however, was starting to feel uncomfortable about not knowing things, even if it was just a temporary feeling it still got to her.
Not that Sabel would notice. Her face was calmer now that she wasn't looking around the Courtyard.
Danika nodded, and brushed a strand of hair back into place as soon as she noticed. However, they never stopped in any of those place while on the trip, and now she laughed. Pretty genuinely, too. The memories of her brother telling her he'd seen a polar bear were just amusing, "I did not see any of those" she said, a smile on her face from the previous laugh, "Not vhile on Baffin Island, anyvay. Vut in Greenland ve did" another nod to the dark red head.
It wasn't until now she acknowledge how comfortable she'd gotten. Very odd, and slightly frightening. Vladimir didn't even know about that trip. Aleksandra did. "Vut I did have a vonderful time" she was more of an outdoor person, who also enjoyed the cold. But she still needed to head to the south, Antarctica was calling for her. She'd take Aleksandra over there, but if there was going to be climbing and walking, then Aleksandra was not the one for it. "You should go there. Veautiful scenery" he'll enjoy it if he liked the cold, if not, well, there are some months that are great for the warm seeking people.

"Let's hope you don't go fishy on me, and then become hairy." The thought of others looking at Kel with a passion just didn't sit with her right.
.....
Jenn cocked her head to the side slightly. What was wrong with him? "Well, you entered too you know." Some how her voice cracked slightly too, despite her efforts for it to not. "Maybe we'll get lucky and..." she didn't finish her sentence. He knew. She didn't want either of them to be picked. What if something happened to him? What would she do?
Shaking her head, she smirked up at him. "Oh yes. You put their cuteness to shame. I don't know what came over me to think such a thing." She slapped her forehead lightly, rolling her eyes. A hairy merman? Uh - ew? Kel shook his head, trying to make the mental image those words conjured up go away. Ew. Another shake of his head, a grimace, and he was okay. "Let's just stay the way we are, shall we?" That would be perfectly fine with Kel. He loved Jenn the way she was, and he was pretty pleased with himself, too.
When the conversation turned back to the Tournament, Kel really had nothing else to say. He nodded slowly to Jenn and - like he'd started doing lately durning silences in conversations - started messing with the little box in his pocket. He looked down at his wrist, then at Jenn, then down at the ground. Sigh. Not right now. "Honest mistake." He replied, trying to sound playful, but really, he was preoccupied with the object he was now holding in his hand, still in his pocket. "But it's okay. I have a high self-esteem, and I don't mind if you find others less attractive than me." There, that sounded better. Happy, even.

Smiling she fiddled with the flower in her hair. Touching it breifly to make sure it was still in place. She liked it...a lot. Oddly enough it made her feel special. Like a flower queen or something. Eh...enough girly thoughts. "Hahaha, just be sure you're head still fits through the doorways." Jenn teased, shoving him lightly. "We wouldn't want you fall over or having to sleep outside because your ego has inflated your head." She puffed her cheeks out, looking like a silly squirrel. Letting the air out, she smiled up at him, then sighed and plopped onto the cobble floor, crossing her legs. "So, when do I get to meet your parents?" she asked, picking at a straggling weed in the cracks. "I mean, we've been dating for awhile...and I mean I haven't met your..." she trailed off, looking up at Kel. He looked insanely tall right then.

Sabel found himself grinning rather broadly as the Drumstang student laughed. It was something he had not seen in her expression before, and even the smile that came with it seemed a rare oddity. A nice, rare oddity though. People smiling was one of the things he simply loved to see. "I am glad you enjoyed your stay. And saw a polar bear. That's incredible. I have yet to see one in the wild. Guess I'll have to go pretty soon, what with their habitat disappearing and all."
A weak frown pulled across his brow at the thought, but he quickly shook it away. Maybe when he was of age to practice magic outside the school he could take a trip to the north and start reforming some of that ice that was melting away. "I'll take your word for it. I've loved everywhere I've been in Canada, so I'm sure up North will be similar."
Remembering the book still in his lap, he straightened and offered it back to her with a gentle smile, feeling he had kept hold on it for long enough. "Take your time with your questions, but ask me whenever you wish."

The girl smiled. She did have a great time over there. And it was a mere plus that her brother was already of age. Perhaps she wouldn't have had such a great time if that hadn't been the case.
She frowned. Animals. See. She cared for them. "It is such a shame" she said, with a sigh, how did it feel to know that it was mostly the non-magicals fault? Terrible. And how it did it feel to know that the magical ones weren't doing anything? Even worst. "Veautiful creatures, though" and looked white like the snow. White was always a constant in her life. Danika couldn't lose that. "I have often vondered vhich role ve vill take vhen fighting to exist" the humans, in general, will they kill whatever they need to survive, or try to find a solution to a problem. Perhaps that's when both worlds will have to come together again?
Only time will tell.
She nodded, "Yes, I recommend it" she said, before placing her eyes on the book he was now returning. Fair enough. He couldn't read Runes, therefore the book was to be returned sooner than later. "Thanc you, Savel, I vill" and she'd probably taken too much of his time now, after all, she might need him later, no? "I guess I should get going" she started to say, taking a step away from the wall, it would be wise to report constantly to Zitnik anyway, "I have taken too much of your time" and then nodded, one single nod which seemed almost like a bow, "Vut first..." oh, yes, she'd forgotten about that, "...I vanted to apologize for the discussion vith your friend at the feast" the one where the Potions Professor was simply amazing? "I did not knoe she was the one that got hurt" mentally hurt still counted, "I should have been more sensivle avout it" which only meant, shouldn't have said anything at all, because in what world would she appear more sensible?
Apologizing to a non-magical descendant. Yes, the family would NOT be proud of this.

Apologizing to a non-magical descendant. Yes, the family would NOT be proud of this. Smiling softly as she retrieved the book, he nodded in agreement. "What role each of us will play, let alone each group, race and species and then planet as a whole...it is a rather encompassing question. Very philosophical too. Perhaps all we can do, is the best we can do. To err is human, but to forgive is human also. Somehow, we will get through. There is too much good in the world for us not to." And by 'us', he meant non-wizards and wizards alike.
And then she was standing. Blinking in surprise, he scrambled to his feet as well, blinking a bit more as she apologized for taking up time and for her address towards Arya. Yet another suprise. Letting out a small breath, he shook his head. "Danika, you aren't taking up my time. My gesture of handing the book back was not to ask our conversation to be over. But of course, if you need to go, that is perfectly understandable as well." A pause as he considered the possible conflict of the two statements and a shake of his head to get rid of that line of thought. "As for Arya, I will pass on your apology, but I wouldn't worry about it. She is very understanding, and as you said, you did not know. We do things a bit differently around here, which you are not used to, so in your opinion it was not out of line to express your thoughts in such a way." Sticking his hands in his pockets, he gave a one-shouldered shrug. "I can't say I agree with your line of thought, as Arya didn't, but I can see where you are coming from. So, long story short, take away from this that Hogwarts students are very defensive of one another, even at the cost of the sake of learning, but good intentions are recognized and we try not to hold grudges." Returning the nod-like-bow, he gave the Drumstang student a gentle smile. "Thank you, for being so understanding. But also for being honest. It means a lot, to all of us."

He should be paying HER attention, NOT the girl that had joined them. She was...just not pretty. GAH! Enya glared at the new girl again. She shouldn't be here! But she also knew she needed someone to unstick her from the damn floor. And who better to do it then Carson. Yeah she'd ask.

It wasn't easy to know all one could perhaps accomplish when dealing with the Dark Arts, and also knowing what should be done. The the goodness should prevail while not defeating the evil entirely. Balance. The world was meant to be balanced, equal perhaps, to all. By shifting the balance either way...we lose. "It is certainly not the time to turn our vacks on history" she said, folding her arms across the book, "If there is one thing history has taught us is that good had alvays conquered evil" whether it would change, she didn't know. And she was not referring to magic alone, there's two sides to everything.
He stood up.
Oh, she wasn't? "Oh, no, I did not think of it that vay" she was referring to the book gesture. And she really didn't want to go, but maybe it was best if she did.
There was a sweet smile on her face, her features softened by it. Yes, this place was different, too bad Zitnik didn't took a bit of his time to explain it to them fully. "And thanc you as vell, Savel" she said, with a nod, he was being even more understanding than she was, even knowing just slightly how she felt about the world he half-belonged to. "I vill see you around" she said, before heading back towards the Castle.

For a long moment he watched the Drumstang student leave, his mind absently trailing over their conversation. So he was to teach her something about transportation and technology. Turning back to the school, he found a pebble and kicked it along as he debated where to start. Once one thing was said in either subject, it opened up a whole new set of doors for discussion and interest. Like magic, it was a never-ending road of discovery.

"Ahhh, yes we should paint our nails together next time", she laughed," next time i will paint them green." Currently they were purple. A dark, glittery purple.
"Oh yeeeees, when you paint them they have to look good, otherwise it wouldnt make any sense", she giggled,"but you have to know how to do it right, of course."
Woah, that sounded a bit mean. Anyways,Kita knew what Gee meant. That was the only important thing.
"Could be a potential new hobby", she giggled,"painting our nails together while talking."
Oh glitter. The thoughtnof shopping made Fee's heart jump. She handt been for a month wich was really long. At least in her oppinion.
"We will go to every single shop and try everything possible on", she said dreamy,"and we will buy everything we want. Its gonna be fabulous."
OH yes. Besties and shopping. BEST combo !

Ugh. That REALLY was confusing.
"Oh yes, you in your perfect dress, with the perfect guy and the stars above you. And then he kisses you", she said daydreaming.
Wouldnt that be perfect? It would. She sighed dreamly.
Snapping out of her daydream she replied,"Right, and at the end of the day you figure that it even looked worse".
Fee laughed.
"Aww, Kita you do look beautiful always as well", she smiled warmly.
Kita truely was really good looking. Fee couldnt understand why she hadnt had a boy on her side. Crazy world.
"Well, sometimes i miss them, but its not to bad", Fee said,"i am enjoying to be here that i hardly have time to miss them."
"What about you?"
She laughed at Kita.
"Ohhhhhh right, and no one could proof that you did it", she giggled.
Evil plans were made. haha. Kita smiled at Fee. She really believed that Fee was her best friend now. She was closer to her than Kay had ever been which was really, very weird! And the fact that they were in different years didn't really bother her. Or the fact that they were in different houses. But it was still great that they were able to hang out together.
Another thing she loved were pinky promises. Breaking a pink promise is one of the worst things you can do.
And then she grew excited at one of her favourite girly activities; especially if she got the chance to do it with Fee. "Yes we should!" she said, "Ooh! Green! Well, next time you're going to paint your nails, tell me. I'm thinking of doing mine..." she paused to down at her nails, "Maybe pink. But a pale pink or a peachy colour." "Yes exactly! They have to look good because that's the whole point of painting your nails. To make them look good," she said, "Yeah! You have to do it correctly to make sure that they look perfect." She looked down at her nails again, loving the way it shined even in the dull October sky. She looked back up at Fee and laughed. "Yeah it could be!" she said, "That'll be great! And you have a lot more fun painting nails with someone else there talking to you than you do on your own."
Kita grew excited again. "Yes! We should totally do that! It'll be so much fun!" she said. She could imagine the two of them walking along Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade and trying on a lot of clothes. Oh the joy! "Yes we will! It is you know! We will have such a great time!" she said, clapping her hands from excitement.
As the conversation turned to boys, she grew a bit more serious. "Yeah that's so true!" she said, "They tend to change their minds a lot! And make us girls confused about everything!" She hated it when she was confused. It gave her a headache. "Ah!" Kita said sighing, "If only! I guess we have to wait until the ball to see whether that cones true or not." There was nothing like a nice ball to make you happier. "I hope it does," she added in finally. "Yeah you do!" she said, "And it's usually because of the bustle of the day! It's so unfair how we have to suffer like that!" Bad hair days always got on her nerves. They always came when you least expect it to and then they ruin your whole day! So unfair!
Kita smiled back. "Aw! That's so nice of you!" she said, "And you look beautiful as always!" Fee was a very pretty firstie and the fact that boys weren't queuing up behind her to go out with her was a sign that the world wasn't right. "Aw! That's good! You always end up being able to deal with being without them and before you know it, you end up going back to them for the summer!" she said, smiling, "I miss my family but i'm too used to it. And i've been looking forward to hogwarts for ages! So it's alright now."
Kita laughed. "Yes!" she said, "We would be able to get away with it!" She let out a mad cackle and broke into a fresh fit of the giggles as she realised how mad she sounded.

Emmaleigh had been exploring the castle again, when she wandered out into the courtyard. She wasn't exactly sure how she had gotten here. "must have zoned out" she thought to herself as she sat down on a bench by one of the flower beds. The flowers were beautiful, although, this late in the year she figured they must have a charm placed on them to protect them from the cold nights.

Enya walked through the courtyard, she was feeling somewhat mixed up. Sad about losing Bradin, Happy about going out with Michael. She slumped down on a bench and wished she had someone to talk to.

She looked up to see who it was, and realized it was Enya. But she looked... not normal. Was something wrong? She got up and sat beside her. " Hey, is everything alright?" she asked.

Enya looked up. "I think so, but I'm not sure. I'm all confused about something and I don't know how to sort it out." She sighed softly.

Enya sighed. "Well I don't know if you know, but Bradin, well he died. And I'm all sad and upset about that, and I miss him so much. But Michael asked me out and I'm happy about that and It's just a jumble in my head. I'm afraid that people will think I've betrayed Bradin by moving on." She sat there with her head hung.

"Wait, did she, no she didn't just say that did she?" Emmaleigh thought. " What? No, I didn't know, when did this happen, and how? I thought the curse was repelled by love?" she asked, as she felt tears start to well up in her eyes.
And Michael had apparently chosen one of the many girls that liked him. Good choice Em thought. "And when did Michael ask you out?" and why hasn't he told me about it, she added in her head.

"Well, Love did it's part but he touched a horcrux and it's what killed him." She said softly. "He went home to be with his family a few weeks ago. He died not long after." She sighed shakily. And Michael asked me out yesterday and I said yes."

She hadn't know Bradin long, but he was the first Hogwarts student she had ever met. They were just starting to become friends. She gave Enya a hug. "Are you sure your ok? I know how much you loved him."
"And I'm sure Bradin would want you to be happy again. And if Michael makes you happy, the he would be glad that you two found each other." |

Looking around Beck walked onto the grounds of Hogwarts. He put his hands in his pockets and walked around. He looked out into the sky and smiled. Hogwarts was really growing on him. He loved this place right now even though he still loves Beauxbatons but everyone here is so much more friendlier that there. At Beauxbatons everyone was just peppy. Anothor thing that had always happened there was drama mostly between girls and he got dragged into it BIG TIME when he and Savvy were dating.
Beck was more of a go with the flow kind of person. He accepts things in live and embarces them to the fullest. He loves being alive. It was the best thing that could happen. Oh know Beck opened his eyes back up as he ran into someone. He turned around and walked back the other way so he wouldn't act like an idiot towards her. STUPID BECK. You've gotta stop doing that. UGH! Don't be such an IDIOT!! Now that he had seen Savannah at the school it's got him thinking all of a sudden.

Rhea was up early as usual, because she just had to have her morning job before her shower and before she started off the rest of her day. if she didn't then everything would just go down hill from there and she didnt want that. Not when everything was already going so good for her. She had done a lap around the lake well some of the lake and had jogged up the path way and was now entering the courtyard when someone bumped into her. gah, she must have been too focussed on what to do with her hair to see who it was. "Oh so sorry!,' she apologized coming to a stop. Oh but she had never seen that guy before. Hmm she wondered if he was one of the foreigners, but he couldn't be because she had watched them all enter the great hall, meh. maybe if he wasn't too nad he would introduce himself.

Beck couldn't believe that he was outside this early in the morning. He did feel out of place when someone ran into him or did he run into her. Oh well. Beck turned around to see a very beautiful girl. Well he should blame himself for running into her. He didn't care if it was him or her either way he was gonna blame himself. It was the right thing to do. It was the gentleman inside hin saying that he should blame himself.
Beck rubbed the back of his head. He really did feel bad for running into the girl. He didn't mean to at all. He frowned but then a sweet, warm smile formed his flawless face. "No, I'm so sorry for running into you." Beck said in his French Accent.
