*eyebrow waggle* Quote:
They bored Nikolai. They were not nearly as nice to look at as the ones at Durmstrang, but Hogwarts had other things to look at; like the ladies for example. Yes, Durmstrang had ladies as well, but he had seen them all before. Not that he was complaining, he liked seeing a few of them more than once. Aleksandra being one of them. And thinking about Sandra, Nik hadn't seen her in a while, which was the main reason for going outdoors. He was hoping to run into her, but doubted that. She was probably busy. Busy like Nikolai himself was going to be when his eyes caught a familiar face. Yes, he had remembered Trixie from the feast. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he made his way over, a grin on his face. "No need to pout, Trixie. I am here." |
Quote:
Yeah guess she would be here by herself. That was just...Well not good in Trixie's books. Maybe she should move on then, she might be able to find someone of interest actually IN the courtyard rather then just standing around outside of it. Or maybe heading back into the school was a safer bet. Surely there would be someone in there she wanted to talk to, she knew enough people around here. Her random thoughts were distracted however by the sudden sound of her name being called. Male voice as well. The Blondes head flicked up and a grin fell immediately upon her face as she saw exactly who it was. Nikolai..... "Well I'm definitely glad about that..." she grinned. Out of everyone in the school, to have company from him was just....Well, amazing. |
Quote:
Why else would she be standing outside alone? "I am not keeping you from someone, am I?" he asked with an eyebrow raised. He didn't need to be threatened by another angry boyfriend. |

He was so much better to look at then the Hogwarts Grounds and whatever else there was to see around this place. His company was most certainly welcome. Their first conversation hadn't been TOO bad had it? He probably didn't give a toffee about what it was she was saying but he was making an effort to listen anyway, so either way Trix didn't care. The Blonde raised an eyebrow at his question. Would she really be stood here alone if she was waiting for someone. Trix didn't wait for anyone, if she would have to be kept this long she would have left by now. "No. Not at all" the girl grinned widely. Even if she was they could wait. Well hello, he was so much better company wasn't he? "I was just, well the Common Room gets a little crowded, needed a little fresh air" she smiled softly. |

He understood what she was talking about with the mention of the common area. He had a feeling though, that the Hufflepuff common area was a little more crowded than the Slytherin one, where she was from. Those Hufflepuffs were rather..clingy. "I am glad the common area was crovded today. Else I vouldn't 'ave ran into you." he said, with a wink. "I saw you put your name in the Govlet of Fire." |
*Blush* These guys were just far too charming for their own good weren't they? The Slytherin couldn't help but turn her cheeks a lovely shade of pink. "As am I" she smiled. She didn't mind meeting him one bit, in fact she rather liked it. But she did enjoy being in the Common Room when it wasn't so crowded. Her Best Friend was in there wasn't he? He saw her put her name in the Goblet? *Blink* Someone was very observant it appeared. She thought she had done it at a time where there were very few people around. Didn't want to attract extremely large crowds now did she, especially with these new students all over the place. "Erm...Yeah I did" she smiled weakly. She was both nervous and excited for this prospect. To be a champion would be so nerve racking yet privilege almost. "I'm guessing yours went in fairly quickly too" she managed a larger smile this time round. |

Jack couldn't really pinpoint it, but he noticed something change in Rhea's experession farily quickly. Sure, she was happy that she had got to kiss him, everybody always was. But she didn't seem at all happy after the post-kiss delight. He really hoped she wasn't jealous of ... anything, why should she be? He's just kissed her twice! Jack had also kissed Cosette, Savannah and Callie ... that wasn't that much; Savannah was to prove a point, and Callie was just so darn cute that he had to. Cosette ... she had asked, and he never said no, unless you were ugly. "You okay? You don't look so happy..." Jack trailed off, his arm leaning on his knee. |

He was pretty sure he remembered Trixie saying she was not too sure about entering the Tournament, and by the smile, Nik realized she might still not be too sure about it. It was too late to turn back though, but he wouldn't say that, he was sure she knew. "It seems like you are unsure avout your decision." he said, but it coming out more of like a question. Erm, about himself putting his name in the Goblet. "I vas actually the last from Durmstrang to put their name in. Vut I placed it in vefore the Beauxbaton students." Not that that made Headmaster Zitnik any more pleased. |
*Matty walked down the path heading for the courtyard. As he walked he passed a few of the older students talking about the tournament. Looking up he saw that it was the rude boy from the hall. Matty just rolled his eyes and shook his head. This bloke seemed to be flirting with every girl he could. Shrugging it off he tried to walk by fast. He didn't want to do something to upset the older student. He didn't need to be picked on again this year.* |

As he continued to listen to the young man, however, the smile fell from his face, his jaw setting sharply. "I don't suppose you would tell me who that professor was, would you?" His colleagues certainly had funny ideas about what was appropriate. |

It probably wasn't the best thing for students to go snitching on professors, but seeing as the man they were talking about was no longer here he supposed it couldn't do that much harm, "It was Professor Lawson, sir. Mr. Lawson, that is. I believe he was trying to illustrate that the student should cool his temper." |
One eyebrow arched, Preston pursed his lips in thought. He supposed nothing else need be done since Mister Lawson was no longer at Hogwarts, but the very idea that it had even happened was severely off-putting. "I see," he said, after a moment. "I can see how that might breed a certain distrust of the staff. And for that, I am sorry. I do hope that our interactions may counter that." Sighing lightly, Preston allowed his arms to drop from their folded position. One hand on the window sill again, he changed the subject.. and along with it his tone. "On the matter of animagus transformations, I do think you've shown the necessary aptitude in my class to warrant further consideration for lessons. Tell me, where do you feel like you are in terms of theoretical preparation?" |

Finally, she spotted him wandering around in the distance. She walked up, still breathing heavily, and smiled at him. "Stephy-I mean Stepheeeen!" She squeeled. |
Kellen smiled when Kingsley apologized; not that it was a necessary apology, at least not from him, but it was nice that a professor acknowledged that Lawson's actions were beyond the boundary of acceptable. Back in fourth year Kellen had been under the impression that the majority of professors at this school were absolutely bonkers. Even last year, Lafay had set people on fire. And then his face grew a huge grin, "Really?! I mean..." He cleared his throat and made a sporting effort at containing himself, "Thank you, sir. I've done some reading over the summer on the more technical side of changing, but I've yet to find any books on personal accounts of changes. I also," am still grinning, can't help it, "found a book called 'Predicting your Patronus', since most animagi take the same form, but I think it's mostly a load of bunk." ...he didn't just say that. "I mean it's not very factual." |

She could stare at him all day, quite literally. Which meant that she was too distracted to even realise that her cheeks had turned pink anyway. How come the guys from these other schools were so charming and perfect? Well some of them were, others were quite frankly rude. No names mentioned though but it was probably reasonably obvious. "Not unsure no...." she corrected him. It had taken courage and effort to step over the line, that was true. She wasn't a Gryffindor, bravery didn't come particularly easily to her. "It's more whether I think I may be a good Champion or not" she reflected about the situation. But if she wasn't then she wouldn't be chosen yes? Oh and also the fact that she could die half way through, that was just a little bit concerning. She giggled slightly at his response. Before the Beauxbatons lot. Didn't they put in this fancy piece of paper. "Is that important then?" she asked. It obviously was to them. Trix had got hers in fairly early, before the large crowds. |

"That is also yet to be seen Riding." Rhea looked at him, like really looked at him past being sexy or whatever and saw that he was looking at her. She wondered what exactly he was thinking. She hoped he was thinking about how pretty he thought she was and not about the next girl he was planning to kiss or something, because that would suck. Then he asked if she was alright. She was ok she was just pensive and it was the worst time to be like that. She didn't want Jack thinking she wasn't enjoying herself or something. "Why would you think otherwise? I'm kissing a hot guy, that's grounds enough to be very happy." She smiled at him and hope it was reassurance enough for him |

"Good. I have some books I would like you to take a look at, then. And as for the 'bunk,'" he chuckled lightly, "I tend to agree with you. There are some reasonable metrics, but others are simply fluffy self-help." He waited a beat. "Though, I suppose your reading the text means that a corporeal patronus is not yet in your repertoire? That's not a problem, but it is helpful to know." Idly stroking his chin, Preston thought. "Stop by my office at your leisure. There are some formalities and paperwork before we can undertake anything practical. Lots of regulation, you understand." |
Eirian popped her head up from where it was resting on her knees. Here she had been, searching everywhere else for a Durmstrang, and there.... there one was. Omigosh. And he was... Omigosh. Omigosh. Right place, right time! This was better than anything else! If she had admitted to searching, Jay would kill her! But if it was the other way around - well, almost - then he'd just... find out. HA! Triumphant Eirian! Squeaking, she realized her mental rejoicing might make her... noticeable. Urgh. Scuttling behind the wall, she continued to listen... |
Kellen was in danger of having his face freeze into a smiling position, and for some people in the school that could not be. He needed his arrogant scowl sometimes, darn it! "It... is not, no." Kellen scuffed his toe, embarrassed, "I'm not exactly a top-ranked Defense student." Though this year he was making an effort to at least get up to par, and he was relieved when Kingsley added that it wasn't a problem. He nodded when the professor mentioned regulations, "I have no intention of trying to pull a Marauder, sir. Though I'm curious... if I'm able to become an animagus, do I have to go to the Ministry to present my animal form?" The books on legalities were so dry he'd felt tempted to give the poor things a drink. Which reminded him, "Thank you again, professor." |
The professor nodded, understandingly. "The level of concentration required to become a successful animagus is... high. But, even if you are not successful, working on that concentration will undoubtedly trickle into improvements in some of your other subjects." Dropping his arms and standing straight, he inclined his head slightly. "You'll have to register, complete with noting any distinct markings. But, we can cross that bridge when we come to it." Clasping his hands behind his back, he moved to go. Pausing, he turned back. "You are quite welcome, Mister Stern." |
Kellen nodded, resolving then and there that concentration exercises were being moved to the top three spots on his list of things to do. He wanted this, and he was willing to work himself into the ground to do it. He smiled at Kingsley and nodded, happy to have finally found a professor he felt he could understand and work with. |
"Now," he said lightly, "Go on and enjoy the day before it's gone." He waved his hand dismissively, before continuing on his own way, smile on his face. |

Though, it still troubled him to think that maybe she was thinking about him which made her seem unhappy. Right now, Rhea had Jack all to herself. He hadn’t seen any other girl today, weirdly, yet not so much, because it was only morning and he’d been tired for the majority of it, but not until Rhea had woke him up in such a delightful way. Hehe. “Well darling, if there is anything troubling you, you can talk to me, I don’t mind.” |
Quote:
"Of course it's true, love, I never lie." If her eyes were opened she would have winked but they weren't so she managed a smirk. Oh but he certainly would mind if she did start talking to him about feeling a tad bit jealous, ok so not a tad bit if what she heard was true, but then she couldn't just not like him could she? Nope, not with those kisses she couldn't. Besides it was a lovely Jack Riding moment and she would enjoy it for as long as she could. Turning muse state off, back to flirting, hehe "Tsk, why would I want to talk now, I prefer our previous activity, my lips enjoy that better than flapping." Now it was her time to rake throuhg his hair and make it all foofey.Hmm sexy foofey hair. |
