The Corridor to the Courtyard

This corridor is a simple, airy hallway with openings to allow in as much sunshine as possible and fresh air. It is an excellent transition from the school to the grounds as it exits out into The Courtyard.

YAY! Iris loved Autumn... Everything was red and pretty and dying technically but that's not a happy thought.. Sooo, she was going to spend some time in the grounds, probably on her own. But anyways, she wanted to find out what new places there were in the grounds this term. Because YUSH, she'd noticed that Mr. Masterson liked to change things in the grounds. Like there was that Bamboo Forest here in her first year, that she never got to go in. And the Maize Maze. That was cool. And the Pumpkin Patch... Stupid Aaron. Leaving her to go some wizard school in New York.

She walked down the corridor, humming to herself. Hehe.

Chewing on a rather huge chocolate, Josh walked down the corridor lost in thoughts about how weird this year started for him. First there were foreig students wandering around. Well...the girls, especially Beauxbatons girls ,were beautiful but the boys, especially Durmstrang boys, were all annoying. He could remember Evelyn staring at one certain Durmstrang boy being unable to take her eyes off of him. Grrr...

And secondly there was going to be no Quidditch this term. *scoff* And this was because of some Triwizard Tournament that he could not even join to play. He wanted to play...so badly! And there was....

He stopped immediately when he saw Iris walking past him. Hehe. Before she could get away Josh grabbed her arm. ''Hey there, Kitty. Where are you leading to hmm?''

Iris turned around as someone grabbed her arm. WTFF?!!? Oh. It was Josh. She raised her eyebrow at this new nickname. "The grounds." She said simply. That much seemed obvious. Why else would she be going THAT way? >>>

She frowned at him. "Will you let go of my arm please?" She'd pull the puppy dog eyes if she needed to.

''No, i won't'' the Gryffindor boy said smirking and holding the girl's arm firmly yet not too much to hurt her. Surely the boy liked to joke around Slytherins a lot and he was not sure if that was because of all the stories he listened to about Gryffindors and Slytherins being rivals.

''If you give me anything interesting, i will let go of your arm'' then he said. Another chocolate would be cool. Ooooor.... ''...like that shiny and pretty prefect badge of yours, Kitty''

Dylan sighed. He wasn't happy but he wasn't upset. He was lonely. Yes that was what he was. Lonely. Lexi was out snogging someone. Gold was far far away. He had no-one really. Not anymore. Well now he had entered into the Triwizard Tournament. Hopefully someone would support him. Hmmm maybe he needed to return to the library. Amongst the books.

Iris frowned at Josh. He was expecting a ransom for her arm. PFFT She'd amputate it before she gave him something interesting.

When he said that he wanted her badge, Iris laughed. "Pfft. You're not having it." Hehe. "You can hold my wrist FOREVER; but you're not getting my prefect badge."

And if that didn't work. Well, then she'd threaten him with something. Like ... licking his face. Which is really gross, but hey, if it works, then why not?!

Lexi was trotting through the corridor when she spotted her brother. Hmmm he looked a little down. She put on a smile and approached him. "Hey poo head! What you up to?" she chuckled as she got to him and threw her arm around his shoulders.

Dylan perked up as soon as he heard his sister's voice. Yay. Not that he was needy or anything. He wasn't like this last year. Then again last year was odd. "Poo head? You need to think up better greetings." He shook his head. "Right now? I am walking towards somewhere. What are you doing?"

Lexi chuckled lightly and said, "Just a term of endearment, brother. That is all." She did love her brother, she did. But, well, sometimes he acted like a poo. Simple as that. She rolled her eyes at his next statment and said, "Oh har har! You are so witty! Don't be a smart butt, Dylan. What have you BEEN doing?" She really hoped he hadn't done anything stupid... like enter his name in that goblet! Grrrr.

Dylan chuckled. "Well you did ask what I was doing." She was silly sometimes. Well most of the time. She was only a little girl after all. "Well I put my name in the Goblet. I visited the library. I started studying for my NEWTs. What have you been doing?"

His first little tidbit brought her up short and she reached out and grabbed his arm spinning him around to face her. "You did what?! Are you crazy? Haven't you been through enough?! If I lose you in that tournament because you want stupid eternal glory I am going to be a very upset girl. Did you tell mum and dad?" she almost shrieked at him. Why? WHY WHY WHY were boys so stupid sometimes? Well most of the time... but hey.

Dylan was suddenly spinning around. That was interesting. Where did she get such strength from? "I entered my name into the Goblet of Fire." Duh! Had she not heard that? "What is the chance of me being chosen, Lex? There are other 7th years as well. Like Raiden." Yeah like Raiden. "Of course Mum and Dad know. I told them over the summer. I wouldn't enter without them knowing. Dad thinks it is a great idea. Might get Marco off my back." Gah! And she called him the protective one. He only wanted to stop her getting hurt by boys that wanted to use her. She was making it out that he was going to die or something. He was perfectly apt at spells and such.

Lexi let out a cry of frustration. "You never know, Dylan. That goblet could choose you. No one knows who will be chosen. You are an ever loving idiot, you know that! If you do get chosen there is a great possibility that you could die! Do you ever read about the past tournaments? Great Merlin's ghost!" she said to him in a heated tone. He made her so angry sometimes!

"OH! Is that all you are concerned with? Getting your stupid cousin off of your back! You want the ETERNAL GLORY! It will only make your ego a bit bigger and who could deal with that? Have you spoken to Gold about this? Does she know?" Lexi glowered at him and started to tap the toe of her shope angrily on the ground.

Why was she angry at him? Would she not be proud if he was chosen? Obviously not. "I don't want the eternal glory Lexi. It isn't about that." He sighed. Why did he even bother telling her?

"No I haven't spoken to Gold. I was going to owl her soon. After I had told you. I thought you were more important. Since you are my sister." Great angry Lexi. He thought she was going to understand. It was about proving himself. Proving he was a good guy.

"Then what is it about, Dylan? Huh? Are you just being a macho guy trying to prove yourself to someone? Who do you need to prove yourself to? We all love you and are proud of you," she said as she hugged herself tightly. Yeah... she might slide back into crazytown if her brother got chosen.

"You don't think that this will bother Gold? She doesn't want to lose you either! Gah I cannot believe our parents condoned this! Maybe I will enter if it comes around my Seventh Year. How would you feel about that?" she said losing some of her steam.

Josh simply smiled at the girl's frown. Hehe. He knew he was going to win this match. He was going to have this shiny Slytherin prefect badge. Because he was not going to give up till he got what he wanted. Yes, he was determined like that.

So still holding the girl's arm, he quickly held her other wrist. ''Nooow! You are caught. You have nothing else to do than quitting it and giving the badge to me. And why is it so important ha? Its just a badge. You can use a bottle cap instead of it'' Yes that was a brilliant idea. Of course it was brilliant because it was Josh's idea. He was the brilliant master of ideas. Ha!

Rhea figured she would take a walk out to the corridor or something for some fresh air. The common room was getting really stuffy with everyone mingling and chatting it up about their summer. In all honesty her ears needed a break from the buzzing. She only wanted to hear the chirping from the birds or their squawk when they got slapped from the air by the whomping willow. She strolled down the corridor with her ponytail swishing behind her when she saw a familiar figure. Oooh it was Jack. She walked over to him and grinned as she poked his stomach.
"you know the dormitories are there for sleeping,or are the beds not to your liking?"she smirked at him.

Jack had only just recently fallen asleep, so he wasn't exactly in a deep sleep, so he could hear the voice very cleary. Without opening his eyes, Jack smirked at Rhea, and patted the stone wall space next to him, still leaning on his own personal pillar. "The beds are lovely. Bit green, mind you." He shifted a little bit. Turns out, rock wasn't exactly comfortable. Keeping his eyes closed, Jack continued to speak. "The wall looked inviting, and I'm tired, darling." He was thinking about leaning on her actually, she seem a lot more inviting than a wall, and he was also sure that she'd me more comfortable, MUCH more comfortable.

"What brings you here? Come looking for me?" Jack opened a lazy eye, so it looked like a wink.

GRRR. Josh was so bloody annoying.

GLARE.

As he grabbed her other wrist, Iris glared at him coldly. "LE'GO OVMENAO!" Okay. That didn't sound like English, did it. Hehe. Never mind. Iris was telling him to 'Let go. Now.' Surely she portrayed that want in her GLARE. She was ANGRY. He was touching her wrists, and Iris didn't like that.

"Why would I give you my badge? You're not a Slytherin; and this is a Slytherin Prefect badge. You'd look silly with it." Hehe. Woah; wait. Did he just say "use a bottle cap"? He did, didn't he. Iris laughed. "Why would I do that? A bottle Cap would look even more silly than you wearing my badge."

HMPF. Silly Gryffindor. "Now let go of me." Cue more glares. "Please?"

Aww he looked so cute lying there sorta on the wall with his eyes closed. She could just...nope..wasn't going to do that again any time soon. He smirked with his eyes closed and she chuckled. She figured he wasn't really sleeping sleeping. He patted th wall next to him and she took that as her cue to sit, so she did, nice and cozied up next to him.
"Well, of course they're green silly, it is the green house." He shifted and she turned slightly on the wall so she could face him more.
"Tired from doing what? What time did you actually leave the feast lastnight?" Hmm, knowing him he was probably off snogging someone..grr maybe that french girl.

"I felt like taking a walk actually. You flatter yourself Mr.Riding." She smirked at him. O course she was thrilled that she actually ran into him. She giggled slightly at him looking at her with one eye and an overwhelming urge to rake through his hair took her and she gave him and gently fingered through his hair.

"Yes I am trying to prove something Lexi. I am trying to prove that I am the good guy. That I am not the 16 year old that tried to kill Professor Lawson and Mr Masterson." It was still the one thing that haunted him. The one thing he hated about his past. And Lexi should understand that.

"If you wanna do it, then do it." Dylan sighed. "Gold, is in France or wherever. I am already dead without her."

"OH! You are SUCH a drama queen, Dylan!" Lexi hissed at him inches from his face, yeah she had on BIG shoes. HA! She leaned in closer and said, "No one blames any of us for what we did then and you need to stop dwelling on it! Mr. Kapoor doesn't blame me for what I did... I don't think any of those students that I collapsed the entire ceiling on blame me either. Just get over it!" Yeah she was UPSET. Very.

Sighing a little she rolled her eyes, "You seriously need to get your priorities in order! Gold is not the end all be all of your life... and if she is then you are seriously pathetic."

"I blame me. I don't care what anyone else thinks. I blame me." His eyes widened. He didn't like her so close to his face. He wanted to push her away but that would make things worse. Far worse.

"I have my priorities straight. My parents, you, Gold."
