Have you brought a warm coat? A winter cloak? A scarf and a pair of mitts? It's bound to get very chilly in the stands. Cheering on the champions might keep you warm, but once they've entered the maze, there isn't much else to do than wait and hope that whatever the champions are facing isn't as bad as what you're imagining.
The hedges are impenetrable, both to sight and to sound. A black wall just beyond the few flickering torches that fill the starting area with uncertain light, they are moving slightly in the wintry breeze and rustling faintly. As there is nothing to see, there is nothing to hear. And which is worse? Complete silence that leaves the champions to an uncertain fate – or loud noises of a struggle?
Whatever the case, there is not much else to do than sit tight and stay warm, and hope that whoever you support makes it first through the eerie maze.
Lexi smiled at Monique. She was obviously great if she came out fine. But... REALLY? Fletcher had come out miniaturized and HE got to move on. Monique had performed everything right, obviously. What a load of waffle! She leaned over and kissed Monique on each cheek before saying, "I need to get in out of this cold. You should have moved on, Monique... I am going to get going."

Salander watched like a hawk as the Healer worked on his buddy. And slowly the Glitterpuff started to grow. "Oh yeah...!" he fist pumped gently, nodding when the Hufflepuff boy referred to Jack "Just use this guy as your reference Healer Moretti. " Salander replied, clapping Jack's shoulder when the Healer asked how tall Fletcher was "He's the twin. Cant go wrong with that." he smiled.
He looked at the Ravenclaw girl and shrugged casually. "Well, the Mad Hatter kinda does it with good intentions but still... he is a little coo-coo" he replied, then looked back at the Hufflepuff boy. Huh. Then Salander does the unexpected-- he does the Saylen squint. "I didnt say that... you did. If you must know, I wanted to ask if he misread it to get any clues to help fix him." he said as he pointed at the growing Glitterpuff. "Good thing the Healer here got it all worked out...." he huffed. Now why the heck do I have to explain myself to this kid who I dont even know?!? he fumed silently just as he felt someone brush against him.
Alice fell. Again. "Hey you ok?" he asked the young Gryffindor, helping her up. Concerned he was, but also thankful for the distraction, he promised himself not to pick a fight with anyone half his size. His mistake over Diggy taught him that.
He looked back quietly at the GlitterPuff, thinking over silently what he said to him. Win or lose, he was still his buddy, he was sticking by him regardless whether or not he went on to the next tournament or not, whether he stayed a halfling or back to his normal size. His thoughts pierced when the headmaster's voice boomed overhead.
"Yeah go Raiden!" he hooted back at the stands. It was kinda expected, but he was still proud of his Prefect. He clapped loudly for Noel, looking back at the Beauxbaton boy, still thinking somethings a little off "Theres something wrong with his face innit..." he mumbled quietly.
Then the last name was announced.... and the Slytherin lad had to grin his wicked grin.
Did he say something about a fat lady?
Yes he is gloating.
He looked back at the GlitterPuff, the wicked grin prominently on his face "What did I say?..." he said as he spread his hands open "It aint over till the fat lady sings man. Remember that!" he laughed. He clapped his hand over the growing Puff's shoulder and shook his hand firmly, joyous now that all their current malady seems to have resolved itself miraculously. "Congratulations Fletch! You're moving onto the final task!" HURRAH!

Imagine if they were out in the open fighting some beast..." she said, her voice fading away at the thought of some of the guys looking heroic with their wands out and fighting a huge beast. Shaking her head, she drew away from that daydream and blushed a little. "Technically," she agreed, "But aren't you writing about the Tournament?"
Kita nodded. "That makes sense," she said, "Um... I'm more of the shy at first, crazy later type. So if you find me going crazy, don't be scared."
Carter laughed. "Yeah. You have no idea." he said recalling when he first found out that he wouldn't be back in the skies this term. It was a good thing that he did get a little bit of practice in with Mina over the summer.
He chuckled a little. He then thought about it. "Yeah... on second thought... I'm not sure how I'd feel about that." he said picturing a GIANT dragon in the middle of the quidditch pitch. "No, I'm writing on everyone's reactions. Someone else is writing on who wins the tournament." he said.
Carter chuckled. "I doubt I'd notice. I'm sure I can get crazy at times too." he said. "And don't worry, I don't scare easily." he said. Besides, she couldn't much crazier than Ella. No one could.

Monique smiled at the girl. "Of course." she said. Monique should probably head in sometime soon too. "Thank you for your support. I will see you later, yes?" she asked. Of course she would. There was no way that people would stop talking to her because she was out of the competition... right?
Now, she should probably find the Slytherin Prefect and congratulate him. Where was that guy? She spotted him talking to someone. "Congratulations on moving on." she said walking over to him.
Raiden had somehow managed to get the things he was holding into one hand; Nia's hot chocolate and the box from Kurumi dangled from his fingertips, while his free hand had dug into his pocket after the things he'd picked up in the maze. Looked as if he wasn't going to have to offer Fletcher the blue phial, as Healer Moretti seemed to be sorting him out just fine.
Still, his hand emerged from his pocket, holding the sealed phial and the gold runes. Others had brought the chest out with them, and absently he wondered if he'd been meant to do that as w-
Tate.
When Raiden's name was once again announced, and his points ranking put him ahead of the others, the young man forgot instantly about looking at the runes. He was going on! He, and Noel, and... Fletcher. Hopefully the nurse could sort him completely, then. A wide grin split his face, and he shoved things back into his pocket before he had a chance to drop them.
He was one of the top three! He would have grabbed Nia again, might've hugged her and displaced her from the ground in excitement, had Monique not approached.
The smile faded slightly; her name hadn't been announced.
"Thank you, Monique," he said, nodding. "I'm sorry you're not. I wish everyone had gone on..."
Mostly everyone. But at least this way... well, less chance of people getting hurt. He sent a glance in Noel's direction before looking back at Monique, expression changing ever so slightly.
"Will you cheer for me?" He bit his lip; his words carried a bit of mock need in them. He didn't really mind if she didn't want him to win, but... it was fun to play with her. "Or can you only cheer for Noel, since it's down to three?"
Monique smiled at the girl. "Of course." she said. Monique should probably head in sometime soon too. "Thank you for your support. I will see you later, yes?" she asked. Of course she would. There was no way that people would stop talking to her because she was out of the competition... right?

Lexi smiled at Monique and nodded her head. "Of course you will see me later! Maybe we can go in to Hogsmeade or something. I need a little girl time," she chuckled slightly. Giving her should be sister a little wave of her fingers she turned and nearly ran into Raiden.
Smiling slightly she said, "Congrats Raiden. Good job." Yeah. Time to get in out of the cold. Stepping around him she kept walking and left the stands headed back to the castle.

"Au revoir." Monique said waving bye to her should-be little sister. "Sounds wonderful." she said. She could use a little girl time. Especially after being so hot and sweaty and gross after these tasks.

Monique made a sorry attempt at a laugh. "No. It took me nearly three weeks to wash the stinksap out of my hair. I would hate to think of what another task would do to me." Eww... actually... maybe she should be happy she didn't make it onward.
Monique looked back at Noel and then back at Raiden. She kissed each of his cheeks. "Of course I will." she said. "I think I have plenty of cheers to go around." she said. And if not, Noel wouldn't mind if she moved a little bit of his cheers over to the Slytherin perfect Prefect. Yeah... Noel would totally understand.
Grin brightening slightly again, he murmured his thanks to Lexi, watching as she passed him and continued on toward the castle. It was a bit less... odd? Being around her now. She hadn't gone all giggly or starey or anything. He enjoyed that.
Stinksap? That's what that had been on her, then. Ew. Raiden half-wondered why she'd had stinksap on her in the first place, and somehow came up with a scenario that involved falling, when he realised that she was touching his face.
Blink.
While he'd seen the Beauxbatons students do that before, nobody had ever done that to him. Raiden felt a bit of heat rush to his face, rather unbidden.
"Hopefully there's no stinksap involved in the last," he murmured, gaze going to her hair for a moment. It was nice hair. Stinksap-free, as it should be. Mmhmm. His grin grew again, when she said she'd cheer for him. "Thanks. Hopefully your mates don't mind too much, ne?"
With it being the last task, the school rivalries were bound to come out forcibly. Raiden had started this not caring who won, not caring about the tournament and only about the other competitors and the rush he got from the tasks, but... he was one of the final three.
He kinda really wanted to win now. Competitive spirit was starting to show.
"... did you have to pass the sphinx, in there?" The question was random, slightly belated, but... well. Who could be sure what the other champions had faced that he hadn't.

Alice smiled at the now full sized Fletcher who was a good bit taller than her (which wasn't a hard feat because Alice was very short).

Yes, Treyen forgot all about the Tournament, and all about tiny Sir Fletcher, right there. Healer Moretti was even more pretty when she smiled. Especially when she smiled at him. Ha.
He smiled back, and then he remembered Fletcher! And...oh, she was making him grow! That's was...well...yes, he loved her, because she was making Fletcher grow.
Lookit! He was growing! And growing rather fast...this meant...that Treyen will return to being the same LiL Lockhart as before, and Fletcher...the same Sir Awesome as before.
That's why everyone should love the Healer.
Haha. Silly boy. That was funny.
Treyen kept on looking, and will probably ask about what spell was she using eventually. Just, not now, she needed to focus, and he didn't want to be the one who caused that Fletcher stayed small, though, he wasn't small anymore. But it was creepy, with his legs and arms at normal length, he looked creepy, almost like a monkey boy.
"Almost twice my height" he couldn't help say, because to Treyen, Fletcher was a giant, like Giraffe girl. Then he eyed Fletcher's look-alike and gestured towards him, "Like him" aha, a nod.

"How tall were you anyway?" Hmm.
Fletcher's expression was exactly the same as Allie's and Treyen's as he continued to grow and grow and grow. How tall had Fletcher been anyway? Should he exaggerate or not? Heh.
"Yeah, what he said," he answered the nurse slowly, nodding toward Jack. "We're twins, see. I was about six foot one." And that was the honest truth too. Okay plus one inch BUT STILL.

Raiden Kururugi with 291 points
Noel Laurent with 287 points
Duncan Fletcher with 285 points."
Congratulations!
Fletcher was still admiring his almost properly-sized limbs when he heard the head tater start to speak... loudly. This meant he was announcing something important! Obviously! AHHHHH!
The Hufflepuff's eyes widened at first, the obvious announcement that Raiden was going on. Well good for him, wasn't it. Hmmph. Then came Noel's name --- also not too surprising, since he had been one of the first to finish in both tasks.
But the third name Tate announced -- his name -- was a HUGE, AMAZING, AWESOME surprise.
"YESSSSSSSSSSSS," regular-sized Fletcher called out. He threw back his head, eyes closed, and fist-pumped the air to savor the moment. This. Was. AWESOME!!!!!!!

Excitement.
The boy was crossing his fingers so he'll hear what he wanted to hear...AND.. "YES!" he said, not caring who was around. His smile was a very wide one, "You did it, Sir Fletcher! Congratulations!" he said, from afar, he didn't want the pretty Healer to be annoyed by someone poking Fletcher's shoulder, you know, she was still working on him.
"Thank you, THANK YOU, TREYEN!" Fletch hopped off the bench and clapped his fanboy on the shoulder. Yeah that was as close as he got to hugging. "Thanks for not giving up on me!"

"... did you have to pass the sphinx, in there?" The question was random, slightly belated, but... well. Who could be sure what the other champions had faced that he hadn't.
Monique smiled. "Hopefully not. And if there is, I would not recommend using it to make earmuffs. I think I would have rather succumbed to the mandrake's cry." she said. Yes, stinksap was a fate worse than death.
"I doubt it. I have it on good authority that they have been mingling amongst other schools as well." she said. She'd even heard an interesting rumor about Noel. One that she needed to have confirmed sometime. "Besides. My cheers are reserved for the best competitors. I think it is safe to say you fall under this category." she said with a smile.
"Yes." she replied. "It was rather exotic. Did you come across one as well?" Duh Monique. He wouldn't have mentioned it if he hadn't come across one as well. "At least it wasn't bowtruckles this time, right?"
And at least she hadn't killed some poor innocent plant this time. Poor mandrake.

Emmaleigh sat and listened anxiously as the headmaster announced the champions who were going forward to the next task. When the last name as said, she turned goggle-eyed in wonder. "Yes, He made it!" she cheered as she jumped up. For the moment, all fear about the next task was gone. With out even thinking, she hurried down out of the stands, and joined the crowd around the Hufflepuff Champion. "C-congratulations!" she said cheerfully, smiling at the boy.
Fletcher's reaction was more than amusing; Raiden was sure he hadn't been expecting to move on, considering his exiting in miniature form. It was nice that they seemed to have the energy and the environment to be excited this time.
...stinksap earmuffs? Raiden's attention went back to Monique and he frowned. Why would... ew. Stinksap in her ears? That was gross. But on such short notice... he supposed that was one of the easiest ways for her to protect herself from the mandrake. One hand touched an ear, as if somehow stinksap would be found there suddenly.
"I'll keep that in mind." No stinksap earmuffs. He sent a glance at the other students again, eyes catching Aleksandra. "Most students have been talking and making friends between schools, but... who knows, in the end. School pride and all that. It's a stronger thing for some people..." Hehe. One of the best. He was, wasn't he. It was confirmed by his being one of the last three. "I'm glad you'll cheer for me either way, even though I'm from Hogwarts."
It meant that the school divisions weren't as large as people seemed to think.
"I did... it surprised me." He wasn't willing to admit to having been scared by it, though. If asked... he'd call it shock or surprise. "I dunno if I'd be more worried about bowtruckles or the sphinx..."
Had he not answered it correctly, the thing could have killed him. Bowtruckles could be handled a lot easier.
"At least it seems we all got out alright this time."
Tate waited while the judges once again conferred. They were getting to a sticky spot in the competition, where it was clear each judge wanted to favor their own champions and were unhappy each time someone fell out of the top selections. Congratulations!
Still touching his back to normal eyebrows, since they weren’t itchy anymore or monstrous and utterly NORMAL, his blue eyes flickered over to where the Hogwarts Headmaster was. The results!
Smiling, he glanced towards Cosette, bouncing slightly in place. Hmm, yes, too much energy!
First, it was the Hogwarts student, Raiden. Just like last time. And then…it was his name! True, it was another Hogwarts student’s name that was after his, but he came in second! He was going on to the next task!
One more step towards becoming the Tri-Wizard Champion!

Rather weird choice. No matter! He had a Monique to hug!

Looking around for the other two champions continuing, he finally found them and waved to both, moving a bit closer so he did not need to yell over the crowd gathering around them.
"Félicitations." He smiled. "And good luck wiz ze zird task, oui?" Third task. He was a bit nervous to find out what was held in the first task. Or what all these things he received meant. A mirror? And runes?

Did he hear the boy saying what he heard? A twin? Fletcher had a twin? How come Treyen didn't know about it? Well, it didn't matter, it was clear that the awesome twin was Sir Fletcher. No need to focus on the other one.
Oh, well. Whatever. Never mind.
Fletcher was being fixed, and was almost his normal height, no need to argue about what the boy had been implying, even if Treyen knew he was right. "And he celebrates unbirthdays...that was a nice thing" he said, adding a bit to the whole Mad Hatter scenario. A person who goes around celebrating 364 days a year would be nice one, no?
SPOILER!!: Great Sir Awesome

"Yeah, what he said," he answered the nurse slowly, nodding toward Jack. "We're twins, see. I was about six foot one." And that was the honest truth too. Okay plus one inch BUT STILL.
"THANK YOU," Fletcher shouted at the girl, still super!hyped up by the news that he was moving on. See?! It was all about CONFIDENCE. And now that he was normal-sized (almost) AND moving on, Fletch had his CONFIDENCE back!
"Thank you, THANK YOU, TREYEN!" Fletch hopped off the bench and clapped his fanboy on the shoulder. Yeah that was as close as he got to hugging. "Thanks for not giving up on me!"
"Hahaha where's the Fat Lady, then? Still up in Gryffindor tower?" Fletcher chuckled and shook his friend's hand back just as enthusiastically. "Now I just have to figure out what these Runes mean... and how they connect to this mirror...."
Speaking of which, he picked up the treasure chest from the bench and pulled the mirror out of his inside jacket pocket. Of course he had taken it with him into the task! Never knew when they all came in handy....
Whaaat? "Never, Sir Fletcher!" or..not yet, haha. That was all the boy had to say. Oh, there was also a nod, but since he also tilted his head to the side, then it would've been hard to notice.
Treyen was...happy. And looking up, because now Fletcher was his awesome full size again. Sigh.
Then his eyes fell to the mirror. And the chest. "Runes?" his mind wandered off, this was research time, yeah, "I can help out, whatever you need" another nod, a noticeable one too. He may not know much about Runes but he was an awesome researcher. So, yeah.

"I didn't know souvenirs were going to be involved...we should have tried to mess with the Goblet and get in the Tournament just for the souvenirs" he said, eyes towards the Slytherin boy who's name escaped him.
They don't even have souvenirs in the Stands. The Tournament was certainly meant for the Champions only.

Iris looked away from the friends she was sat with when Tate made his announcement again. OOoooh! The final three champions!
Raiden... Noel... Fletcher.
That was AWESOME. Seeing as though she couldn't see any of the three Champions, Iris figured that she'd just find them later on and congratulate them. A tackleglomp or something, maybe.
He should have realized, what with the job she wanted to pursue in life and such. Silly of him to think so! Then again, it was just a habit of his.
Fan girls? Now that was something he had not so much thought about. "Zat iz good, and hopefully no one would." he chuckled, glancing around as if to look and see if someone was going to pop up out of nowhere and attack. No one should even try! What? Hex him- "Oh, umm..."
Hehe, no. No hexes. "I suppoze zo." Even if he did smile, his cheeks had a nice lovely shade of red on them. No hexes, but his own stupidity. He of course, would blame it on the squeaky voice and smallish height. It messed with his brain!
Cosette noticed the rest of the champions were out & Fletcher was getting the attention he needed for his toddler height. Feeling a small shudder release in her, giving her a small cold shake, she smiled up at Noel. Although she hated children with a passion, she couldn't really show it. People always called her heartless. Well.. she was on some parts.
Letting out a small chuckle, she pressed a hand to her mouth to stifle it. Damn, she wished she brought some gloves, her fingers were near frozen. "I am surprized I 'aven't been yet." She nudged him lightly with her hip. She could take anyone at this school and blast them as far as the universe could take them. "No worriez. I can 'andle it." She gave him a slight wink, assuring him she would be fine. "I am juzt glad you are zafe & I don't 'ave to curse no creazures in ze tazks."
Seeing Brielle fuss about his eyebrows and fix them, she noticed Monique come over and give her congrats. He made it! He was going into the final task! "Mon chere!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him in a celebratory hug. She was excited, yet fearful as to what was going to happen in the final task.

"Wow! More upset than i was? Now that is what i call a real Quidditch player," she said, secretly thankful that her common room is near the kitchens.
She frowned. "No? I guess that makes sense... seeing someone good-looking getting hurt like that..." she said, wondering why this thought hadn't come to her before. The chocolate breakfast was definitely to blame. "Ah! That's why you asked me what i thought about it!" she said, "So one sec, how many people are writing about the Tournament? Altogether."
"Really? Now i don't have to worry about scaring you," she said. His last comment made her wonder about his house and whether he was in the house she thought he was in. "What house are you in?" she asked.
Nia smirked at Raiden's choice of words. Lafay? An unstable firework? Hehe. It was quite a fitting description, really. Maybe like a firework in a bubbling potions cauldron - and depending on the potion, anything could happen. From giving out free doughnuts, to detention. Ahem, anywayyyyys...
Nia's face lit up at the mention of riddles. She did love a good puzzle. And her brain was well tuned to the thinking of riddles with being a 'Claw and all. "You obviously figured them out well enough," she replied with a casual shrug. "Logic can play a huge part." She nodded.
...and now he was giving her one? To guess the creature. She grinned. "Assuming the riddles are relevant...way too easy," she answered with a wink. "It was sphinx, right? Not at all good if you happened across the wrong answer. So I'm assuming you did a fantantic job and it let you pass right on through." Hmm, would he remember the riddle? Cos she'd love to give it ago herself. Hehe.
Watching him catch the items, Nia noted his reflexes. Not bad. They should defo meet up for some friendly quidditch over the summer. When it was warm once more. Talking of warm.... She went to pull the hat off her head, to help Raiden stay warm, when his words made her blush. Or at least, made her cheeks feel warmer. Whether or not it would show in the chilly air, remained to be seen. But angel and cute? She shied her head away for a moment, looking at the ground.
It was then Headmaster Tate spoke, saving Nia from hiding her blushes. She slowly glanced across at Raiden, waiting for the result. As she did so, she noticed the runes balances in her hand. Her inquisitive mind might have gone to interpret them if it hadn't been for the first name announced.
"Yayyyyyyyy!" she cheered happily, though she quietened down as Beauxbatons Champion approached. She wasn't really sure what to say to the girl - congratulations didn't seem right. Nor did commiserations. She opted for an encouraging but polite nod, and stepped back slightly, so the Champions could talk.
