It is a mirror, framed in silver, about the size of a dinner plate. Etched in the frame is a simple roman numeral III. It flies right to you. Careful it doesn't knock you off balance. |

Oh my, the reflection in the mirror has seen better days. Turning it back over so he doesn't have to look at himself right now he climbs down from the stalk holding tight to the mirror. He knows there must be some meaning to it. Why else would a mirror with a III on it be stuck in this place? Once he is back on the ground he heads to the door to try to get through it. Seeing that the lock is of course still there and snapped tight he starts to search for a key... but only for a second. The blood loss must really be getting to him. Again, he is a wizard, why is he trying to find a key. He can just open the lock with his wand... right? "Alohomora!" He stands back and waits for the lock to open. Hopefully taking him to his freedom. |

Using the light from his wand to guise the way he starts to look around for a key. There has to be one somewhere, but where? He walks around the beanstalk shining the light up into it thinking maybe there is another shiny object hanging from it. No such luck though. Turning around to go the other way he catches a glimpse of something shiny under that nasty plant he killed. It couldn't be... could it? He did not want to have to go near that thing again but he knew he needed to get that key... if that's what it was. Putting his shield back up he cautiously walks towards the plant. He still doesn't trust that it won't shoot spikes at him. Stopping a few feet from the plant he points his wand at it. "Accio shiny zing under plant." Yeah, there's no way he is putting his hand under that plant. |

It clinks off your shield and falls to the ground at your feet. It is a simple key. But it is a key. |

Jermaine wasn't expecting to get hit with the object from under the plant. He had only put his shield up to protect himself from flying spikes. Good thing he did put it up though. After lowering his shield he bends over to pick up the key. Noting that it is rusted though he tears a piece of his shirt off and picks the key up with that. He is not about to get rust in any of his open wounds... not that he hasn't gotten plenty of dirt and yuck in them already. But why intentionally get rust in them right. With key in hand he goes back to the door, puts the key in the padlock and prays it will open. "S'il vous plaît ouverte." (Please open) |

Behind the door is a steep, empty corridor, well lit from light streaming in from an opening at the end. If you take a deep breath, you'll smell something you haven't since you entered the cave. Fresh air. You're out. You're done. You're alive. Just a little walking left. |

"Nox" he says putting out the light on his wand. There was no need for it now with all the light coming from the outside. Slowly he makes his way down the corridor to the stands. He is really starting to feel the pain from all his injuries now that he knows he has made it out. Once he finds all his friends and knows they are safe he will be making a trip to see the healer. |
