Ling stood by the statues, making sure that his hair hadn't morphed into a nest and that his shirt was unwrinkled. As it stood, his clothes, robes included, were shabby and his hair was a mess despite his many efforts to improve them. He was hoping that he'd be a little more presentable looking when he met up with Ella but so far, there was nothing distinctive in his appearance than before. He was the same old tattered, big-nosed bookworm who sat in the back of the class and kept his lips sealed most of the time.

He hoped she would remember that this was place they were going to meet up. He smiled absentmindedly to himself as a pretty vision of the girl entered his head. He held a bright, yellow sunflower in his pallid fingers, braced to give it to her.

Jayce raised and eyebrow. "Still friends? What makes you think we won't be friends then? Do you hate me already?" he joked. "But yes, we still have to watch it anyway. At least the last one of course." he grinned broadly. Oh how he loved to watch movies. "Why would you trip over her? She's kind of hard to miss.. but okay." he shrugged, unsure of how anyone could trip over his dog. "You have a dog too? Is she small?" Hayley seemed like the type to carry around a small dog.

Jayce looked down at his shoes and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. Wow, it had gone amazing to awkward in the matter of minutes. How? All because of one moment. Urgh. Why did that have to happen? "Uh.. no.. you don't have to leave.." But she had been walking away. Then, all of a sudden, before Jayce could protest, Hayley had kissed him. Straight on the mouth. He was stunned and had no idea what to do. "Uh...errr." he stuttered, fumbling for words. "What was it that you had to check?" Jayce was confused. "Uh.. yeah. Hogwarts is pretty great." he smiled.

"I don't hate you. It's just that you being friends with Savannah, might not work out." Hayley frowned at the thought. Savannah could split them apart all by one word and that would be horrible. She laughed. "Definitley. I don't think I remember the first one or second one either, so we'll have to watch those as well." She smiled. Well she knew that Opal was really big but apparently he didn't understand. "When it comes to dogs, no matter how big or small I tend to trip over them somehow. I don't know how or why but it just happens." She shrugged. She wished she could explain it to him but she didn't know herself either. "Yup, my dog is pretty small." She answered.

Hayley laughed. "Sorry about that, I just had to check if I liked you better or this other guy." She said shrugging. Of course she was going to be upfront with her liking him, but if he asked her about liking him then it would become awkward. "That's good and can we keep this to ourselves please?" She said referring to the kiss.

"Oh really? But.. she doesn't really like Trixie much either. Yet, nothing has happened there. Plus, i don't think she'd do that to me..." he trailed off, trying to picture Savannah tearing the two apart, but he just couldn't picture it. He'd never seen the 'other side' of Savannah. "Yeah, i guess we will. We could have a whole marathon." Wow, he'd done pretty much the same thing with his best friend. How strange was it that he was already making the same plans with Hayley. "So.. wait. Let me get this straight. You're pretty much a magnet for dogs, and you always trip over them?" he asked, growing more confused by the second. "I had a feeling you would have a small dog." he smiled.

"Err.. uh.. It's okay." he replied, still fumbling for words. "But.. did you figure it all out?" Jay asked curiously. Wow, he was a whole lot more curious than he should be, especially since he had a girlfriend at the moment. "Uh. Sure. Actually, id' prefer that as well. If that's alright with you of course." But if his relationship with Trix didn't last.. they might have to bring that back up.

He didn't think that Savannah would do that to him? Oh wow, she really needed to show him the other side of Savannah. She ignored that part and then nodded for the whole marathon of Toy Story. It sounded like fun and they could act like little kids again. Hehe. So a magnet for dogs but I always trip over them? "I guess you could put it that way. I love love love dogs, but I end up tripping over them for some reason.....I don't know." She shrugged. Why did he think that she would have a small dog though? "Eh, I prefer medium sized dogs, but Midnight was adorable." She said with a smile.

Did she figure it all out? "No actually I didn't. I still don't know, I thought kissing you would work. Boy was I wrong." She shrugged. Oh well, no harm done really. Hehe. "I'm pretty sure I want this to be kept a secret, I don't want to break up you and Trixie." She stated. She wasn't that mean, then again she was always 'nice' as everyone called her and this just showed that she could be sort of mean. Sort of.

Jayce watched Hayley, confused by everything that was happening. No one had really told him that Savannah was a mean person. He just.. he couldn't see his sparkle friend as a meanie. It just.. it didn't mesh. But he did believe Hayley. After all, why would she lie to him? "Oh really? I have no idea how else to put it." he shrugged. It made sense to him... sorta. "Oh really? I like big dogs as you probably could tell." he smiled.

"Oh.. err.. alright." Merlin. Trix was going to kill him. But he wasn't the one who had kissed someone else. Hayley kissed him.. Would she still kill him? Possibly.. Why did relationships have to be so hard sometimes? But then again, they weren't going to tell.. but he didn't feel right about it.. "Oh really? Well.. thanks. That's really nice of you." he smiled kindly at the brunette before him.

"Big dogs are always fun." Hayley said laughing a little. They really were, you could have races with them. Hehe.

Hayley frowned and smacked her head. "I feel so bad now. I really am sorry. I came on totally wrong, you're dating someone, I just met you, I like you already and I kissed you. I kissed you." She said shaking her head at herself and putting her head in her hands. Ugh, why did her emotions take over her?

"C-c-can I-I c-call y-you J-Jim?" Preston asked him, Jim was much easier to say than Jimbo. Preston's eyes got wide when Jim told him he had drawn the moustache on himself and the statue. "Y-y-yes!" He exclaimed with smile. "Th-that w-w-would b-b-be awe-awesome!" He grinned. Preston wasn't sure what to do marvel about the moustaches or dig in on the candy. But he was sure happy he wasn't hurting himself at the moment, by tripping or falling. "H-h-how o-old a-are you?" He asked randomly. Most of the students he had met thus far where older ones.

"Definitely. I don't have to worry about injuring them. If anything, a big dog would hurt me, but Opal would never hurt me. Not intentionally that is." Yeap. Opal was a big ball of furry mush. She couldn't harm a fly.

Jayce frowned, upset that Hayley was upset. "Hey, it's okay. It's no biggie. Things like this happen all that time." At least from what he's heard. "We were caught up in the moment, lost track of things. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's totally fine." he reassured her. Jayce took a step closer and put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Awww that's cute. Well if you have any pictures of your dog and we meet again you should show me. Opal sounds adorable." Hayley said with a smile. She loved dogs and she would never lie about liking them. If she was in a sad mood she would go to Midnight and cuddle up with her, but now that she was at Hogwarts and Midnight wasn't here she wouldn't be able to do that which made her kind of sad.

"Things like this happen all the time? Wait, so girls always come up and kiss you when you're dating someone else?" Hayley asked looking up at Jayce. Oh great, if that was happening she had no chance. Then again he was dating someone else so she didn't even have a chance in the first place. He put a hand on her shoulder and she frowned. "You don't get it do you? If Trixie ever finds out she's going to kill me." She said groaning in anger again. Wait though, didn't Savannah mention to her that Trixie had been flirting with other guys? Hmm....but still. Mehh.

"Yeah i should. But i've actually been thinking about bringing her back after Christmas break. I've snuck her into places before." he grinned mischievously at his plan. Oh the good old days. He had charmed her to make her small enough to fit in his backpack. Why couldn't he do the same thing and bring her back? "It would be better if you met her. Trust me." he smiled.

"Well.. in movies and stuff they do.. don't they? It's never happened to me before but i've heard it happen to other people." he shrugged. Nope. He was most certainly not a player. He could be.. but he wasn't. He liked to wreck his own havoc and not include others unless it was necessary. Which, it usually wasn't. "But no one's going to tell her. She doesn't need to worry about this kind of thing. I know i should tell her, but it might be better if i don't." he sighed. Neither of them would tell. Plus, no one else had seen what had just happened... so it was all good, right?

"Wait, how have you snuck your dog into places if she is as big as a pony?" Hayley asked laughing. Wow, now that would be funny. She should tape it on her camera if he does it again. Hehe. "Is that an invite?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh okay, well uhm.....that's good?" Hayley said with a sigh of relief. Good, okay. She nodded as he told her that he wouldn't tell Trixie, but she had to disagree, it would be lying wouldn't it? "Maybe you should tell her. Wouldn't that be the right thing to do though?" She asked. "It's not your fault anyways." She said but then something came to mind. She turned towards him with a confused expression upon her face. "Wait, why were you going to kiss me?" She asked curiously.

"Well, I shrunk her in size. She was about the size of... well, she was a bit larger than a beanie baby stuffed animal thing." he chuckled at the memory. "I but her in on of those string backpack things where you pull the strings to get it to close. That's how i snuck her into my friends house. Her grandmother hates dogs." He grinned. "Yes, that is an invite." Jayce winked.

"Yeah. It is good." he smiled kindly at Hayley. Jayce sighed at Hayley's next statement. "Well, yeah. It would be good to tell her. But i don't want her to freak out, you know? I need time to think about how i'm going to tell her, if i am at all." Which he'll probably end up doing in the end anyway. "It's not your fault either. It was a caught up in the moment thing. Plus, i didn't exactly stop you now, did i?" Yeah, he should have stopped, but he wasn't sure he wanted to. What was wrong with him? Wait. Wait. Wait. "What?" he asked. "What do you mean by that?"

"Oh wow, well didn't she bark or something?" Hayley said wondering how the dog would be quiet but then again he could've used a silencing spell. Hmm, I guess that could work out now and then. Hehe, she could come over and hang out with him....and his dog, Opal. Yayyy! Then he winked at her and she blushed. GAHHH. Curse her blushing!

Hayley smiled back but then frowned. "I can understand." She said still feeling really guilty about all of it. When he said he didn't stop her, she was confused. He asked her what she meant by it and she shook her head. "I was just asking why you were about to kiss me? Was it something I said?" She asked curiously. She knew she had made the first move and all and that it was one of those 'caught up in the moment' type things but why did he even move towards her anyways? If that even made sense.

"Well, i imagine that she did, but i never heard her. I charmed the bottom of the backpack to make it like a room for her, and i put a silencing charm over it. And anyway, she doesn't bark all that much." he shrugged. She was a large dog, but she only barked when she was excited. "Ah, i forgot about that." he said, referring to her blushing as he winked.

Jayce sighed again. Why did things have to be so complicated? "Thanks." he mumbled and began to rub the back of his neck like he always did in awkward situations. "Oh." Why did he try to kiss her? Because he liked her.. and because he sort of wanted to. "Because... because i like you. Even though i just met you." he replied. "And also because we have a lot in common i guess." Jay added.

"Aww, well I would hate to be Opal. I would get claustrophobic." Hayley said shivering at the fear of it, then she looked up at the statues and took five more steps back from it. Uhmm, hello? Now she was totally scared. Gahhh, she blamed Jayce. She nodded as he said he forgot about that and she slightly smiled. "You know, I haven't said the word 'aww' for the longest time. It must be you." She laughed.

"Oh, well that's.....nice." Hayley said not really knowing what to say. She already got the kiss, and usually afterward she would get the boy but it wouldn't be this way, this time. He had a girlfriend and she felt guilty.

Jayce shrugged. "Well, maybe.. but she's really little when she's like that. So i don't think it's all that bad." Mehh.. Maybe it was pretty small.. but she didn't complain.. She was a good girl. Jayce followed Hayley's gaze towards the statues. He couldn't help but shudder and took another step away from them just as she did. "Oh really? Why's that?" the boy asked curiously.

"Just nice?" He sighed. Gahhhh. He hated complications. Why did he always get them anyway?

"Hmm, I guess so." Hayley said shrugging. She felt bad for Opal, but then again she knew that she was okay so that's all good. Hehe, she was already caring for the dog and haven't even met her. "Because you're special." She teased him. Mwahahahahaha, goshh, still she had to work on her 'evil' laugh.

His question made her frown. She took a hold of his hand and looked up at him. "It would mean more, if you didn't have a girlfriend. However don't think that I want you to break up with your girlfriend for me, that would just be wrong." She said smiling a little and then letting go of his hand, turning to keep an eye on the statues.

"She's fine. I assure you." he grinned, knowing his puppy had been perfectly content in his backpack because she had food, water and a bunch of toys to play with. That's all the dog really needed anyway. "I'm special? Oh really?" he replied, waggling his eyebrows at her for fun. Aha Hayley was so nice and funny.

Jayce raised an eyebrow in question as she frowned. But then she was taking his hand and speaking. "I know and i agree. Believe me." he sighed. "I just wanted to get a better look around your thoughts i guess. I didn't mean the question like you think i meant it." Wow. That whole statement just confused him.

"Haha okay. Well I can't wait to meet her. Wow, we've been talking about your dog for like 15 minutes." Hayley said shaking her head, laughing. Woww, did she love dogs. "Now don't get all high and mighty on me, Mr.....you're not that special." She smiled, jokingly.

So he agreed but wait, he didn't mean it the way she thought about it? "Oh, then never mind." She stated feeling extremely embarassed. "Maybe I should go." She said fumbling with her charm bracelet, as she always did when she was bored or nervous or embarassed.

"Yeah, i think you should meet her. She's pretty awesome." he grinned. Oh yeah. Opal was the best dog ever. "Did i mention that she's my partner in crime?" Nope. He definitely hadn't. "Well yeah. We talk about her because she's awesome." He laughed along with the brunette then put a hand over his heart and attempted to act bewildered. "High and mighty? Me? No... Special.. yes. I am that special." he smirked.

"Errr.. i uh.. i'm sorry." he frowned. Why did things always go wrong when he was involved. GRAAAAWR. As usual, in weird awkward times, he rubbed the back of his head. "No." he reached his hand towards hers. "Please don't go. I like talking with you. We can change the subject if you want." Now.. to change the subject. Errr.. "So... how do you like Hogwarts so far?" he asked finally.

Hayley smiled as Jayce talked about Opal. She admired the love he had for her, it was nice. "Partner in crime, huh? What type of crimes have you done?" She said with a raised eyebrow. Yeah right, she couldn't see him doing any 'crimes' of some sort. Hayley was laughing along with him as he agreed he was special and then he smirked, recieving another blush from her. "Stoooooopppp." She whined and slightly smiled.

Why did he apologize? He did nothing wrong though! Jayce had reached for her hand, and she was caught off guard, stumbling a little backwards. "Woah." She said finally turning and then smiling at him. Okay so changing the subject, uhmm. Really? Really? A question like THAT? Ehh, that was probably the best she could do as well. "Hogwarts has been amazing so far. I've met awesome people and I love all the rooms they have here, you never really know what you're going to expect, you know?" She said nodding.

Hm. JIM. Jimmmmmm. Jiiiiiiiiiiiim.

It's not too bad is it? "Sure. I don't mind." Eyebrow raise. "As long as I can call you Pres." Kinda like President...teehee. It was pretty cool that this guy was so willing to join Jimbo with his weird habits. He really thought he had lost the boy with the moustache thing. But...nope. Quite a cool little kid there.

Reaching over with his marker, Jimbo drew quite the awesome moustache on the boy's face. So awesome, in fact, that Jimbo was getting a bit jealous, so he tried to improve his own. But, of course, he couldn't see anything. For all he knew he was making it look horrible.

"I'm fifteen." he said, after rummaging in his pocket for more candy. Handing it over, he asked, "Why?"

Jayce grinned. Crimes.. crimes.. Did she really think they committed actual crimes..? Mehh. Probably not. "The usual." Errrr.. "You know, like messing around. Hiding other people's things." Ahh, the fun stuff. "Oh, and this one time.. Opal ate my room mate's shoes." Nod nod. Heh. It had been a pretty good prank. Unintentional, but awesome all the same. And then, she blushed again. And of course, Hayley yelled at him. He only grinned in return. "You know you like blushing." Jay was so unbelievably tempted to throw a wink in Hayley's direction, but he wouldn't.

Looking back up into Hayley's eyes as he reached towards her, he realized she was moving back. After a second of confusion, Jay realized she was falling, not moving away from his touch. Instinctively, he reached his hand farther forward and grabbed her wrist, hoping to stabilize her. "You alright there?" he questioned, voice full of concern even though she seemed perfectly alright. "Yeah, i completely agree." Jay nodded along with her. Hmm.. next question.. "Any siblings?"

Opal ate his roommate's shoes? :O

"Wow, well I'm not letting Opal or you around my shoes at any moment of time." Hayley said smiling at the thought. Or maybe she shouldn't let them be around her when they were together, she wanted no harm done to her or her things. Hehe. But it was certainly fun to pull pranks, especially on her brother, Jason. Then Jayce said that she liked blushing. Did she? No. But she couldn't help it when she was in front of such a cute guy. Hehe. "No comment." She said glaring at him, joking really.

Jayce had caught her before she fell, and she was glad he had done so. She did not want to hurt herself again today. Earlier she had almost broke her arm, by not seeing the stairs....and tripping on them. Wow, clutz. Siblings? "I have one brother, Jason. I love love love playing pranks on him. Then again we always get revenge on each other in the end." She laughed. "How about you? Do you have any siblings?" She asked curiously.
