"See you then... Kimber." Good. Hecate gave her a nod.

Hecate heard Sage explaining to a child why she shouldn't be disturbed. Gallant though, it was unnecessary. "I'd be happy to discuss any Slytherin Issues now... though I appreciate your gallantry, Professor Dodson." She then turned to the girl and said, "The headmaster teaches DADA, and I am the Head of House. I do not have my roster before me, what is your name?"

"I've been here a year now..." She said and took a sip of tea, "so not so new... but not Vindictus either..."

Eli sauntered up to the dais, munching a roll he'd nicked from the Gryffindor table. (He loved Hogwarts' rolls, they were all yeasty and buttery.) The twelve year old had shot up a full inch and a half by actual measure, and was growing lanky and awkward in that way pre-teen boys do. His hair, however, was just as vibrant a royal purple as ever.

He was, of course, going up to see his Most Heroful Hero of All - Magical Maximus, the Valiant Vindictus!

He countinued walking when he heard the mistress of the snark, Professor LaFlame the Student Roaster, say Vindictus' name. His eyes grew large- what evil did she have planned for his hero? He increased his pace, watching the worrisome witch as he --
--smack flat into some Hufflepuff boy. One of the older kids.

"Oof!" he said, staggering backward and dropping his roll with surprise. "Hey!"

I'm walkin' here! he thought.

Emma grinned and nodded. "I am going very well! I've been busy catching up with a lot of people." she explained, happily. "Yes I am! It's great to see everyone and meet the new ones too!" Emma LOVED meeting new people. "Are you enjoying the feast as well?" Emma asked, politely returning the question. She was so excited for this year!!

Heh. Maddie was gonna say hello to some TEACHERS. And perhaps weasel it out of Proffessor Kingsley - or Vindictus, since he was HoH - why Ravenclaw were already 10 POINTS DOWN. Because she was NOT amused. Very not cool, person who lost the points! Maddie was gonna have a word with him/her, once she found out who it was. Hehh. Evil.

Ooooh, lookit! It was Eli! And his hair was still purple... she wondered why that was. Or how it even got to BE purple in the first place. Hmmm. Anyway. She was gonna say hello to HIM now. 'Eliiii!' she said happily, practically SKIPPING over to the poor boy. 'Hi!'

Saphinelle confidently approached the Potions teacher.
"Hello!" she said kindly with a small wave. "I'm really looking foward to taking Potions in my first year. It looks really fun! I'm Sapphinelle Della, Huffie first year!" she said with a bright smile, her french accent fully showing. She really did love Potions, what's better then to warm up to the teacher, right?

Oh? So the woman really was from Mexico! Lexi had assumed that much, but she was never too sure. Lexi had always loved Mexico, Spain, and all the bits of language and customs that went along with them. "Oh? What sort of meal do you have? ...and what's the cause for celebration?" she asked, spearing a potato with her fork and putting it in her mouth. She stayed silent as she chewed and swallowed and waited for Maya's reply. The woman didn't seem all that enthusiastic about the Start-of-Term Feast at Hogwarts.

Swallowing the potato she'd been chewing on, Lexi smiled and nodded, as well. She'd been doing lots of catching up, too, as she really hadn't had a chance to catch up with too many people over the summer. She'd only seen Nolan and Sage in Diagon Alley, then she'd seen Sage, Hecate, and Preston in the staff room. "Mmhmm, that's what I've been doing, as well--catching up with people," she commented. She nodded again in reply to Emma's question about enjoying the feast. "I surely am. The food is delicious, yes?"

Sapphinelle turned to see the Professor that she met at the gumballs!
"Hello, Professor!" she said kindly, waving at the Charms professor.

Glancing from one student to the other, Lexi smiled as she recognized a little Hufflepuff girl she'd met at the gumball machines in Diagon Alley. "Oh, hey! Gumball machines..., right?" she asked, making double sure it was the same girl. "Well, welcome to Hogwarts...and to Hufflepuff house. I think you'll make a great badger." The girl seemed to be extra friendly in that Hufflepuff kind of way.

"The same!" she said with a giggle and a thumbs-up. "Thank you! I already love it here." she said showing her french accent. She decided to be herself this year and show it.

Maya had just spooned some avocado sallad and beans onto her plate, forking it into her mouth as Lexi spoke again. Mmmm....avocado...

What meal? "Well, it is not so much as a meal...more like anordinary dinner." She explained after swallowing, "Then, when the term is over, we have a celebratory meal...because we have summer break." A small laugh was heard - who didn't celebrate getting a break from the student beasties? "We also have traditional Mexican food...like tortillas and guacamole..." Oh the guacamole... "Quesadillas are also served - that contain...what is it called..." her hand gestures didn't much explain what she wanted to say. Gah, her english! "...cheese and mole." Uh-huh. She took another fork-full of sallad and beans.

Oh! CHICKEN.
Hm....now, where was the cheese? Could she ask for some chili peppers aswell?

"Is this food your typical...traditional food from the Great Britain? And what usually happens after this feast?" Her eyebrows raised as she chewed the delicious food.

Before Hogwarts, Lilyan Moretti was not the type of Healer who carried random potions with her, like a few of her colleagues would do, but the more time she spent with these children, the more apparent the need became.

So, this time, she was well prepared.

"No, I have not heard, nor do I wish to hear." She replied, holding out one vial to the boy with the crazy eyes. "Drink it. All of it." It was a calming draught, and it would counteract the effects of the Euphoria, and he would be a normal little boy once more. Well, as normal as little boys were to begin with.

She caught Sage next to her, giving a sympathetic sort of look. It was true, though, a Healer's work was never done.

Hecate pretended not to see the little Ravenclaw... But she still smirked when she noticed out of the corner of her eye, that he bumped into Upstead... funny stuff...

"Very well, Miss Della... I hope your aptitude at potion brewing is better than your manners." She said raising an eyebrow. "But I shall forgive you this offence..." She turned and looked at the Hufflepuff Head of House. How were they to know manners if HE was their Head of House...

Emma smiled and nodded. "It is! I love it here!" she exclaimed, she looked over at her table and saw that her best friend, Sel had arrived. She grinned. "Well I think I might have to head back over to my table, but it was great to talk to you Professor!" she exclaimed, happily. She was glad that she had gotten to talk to Professor Carlton.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? This lady was PSYCHO. She thought she was being VERY polite. Ahh well, like Harry and Snape- but they were girls. She decided to ignore to rudeness and be nice to the teacher anyway. She would respect everyone. She smiled warmly at her and trotted away, POLITELY. Gahhh.

Sophia walked up to the table, her legs shaking. She wanted to introduce herself to her head of house. "H-h-hi P-professor Carlton." she said. "I-i am a newly sorted Gryffindor." she said. "I am sorry, I don't usually stutter." she said, smiling.

"Awwww, bbbut everybody's heard thhhat the b-" Jake broke up and his head kind of flinched back slightly when he saw the potion, before the boy looked closely, then grinned widely and shook his head. "Oh... it's okay. I hhhad my calming draught earlier!" Jake informed her, and then went on with his announcement.

"-ird is the wwword!"

When another boy knocked into him, Jake turned his whole body towards the boy, waved in a huge motion by flapping his hand around like a total idiot. "HAI!" he replied, thinking the boy was greeting him, and then turning back to the Healer.

See, he was so much BETTER when he was happy.

Then he heard someone say how they didn't usually stutter, and Jake giggled loudly. "I dddo! Nothing wrong wwwith it!"

Aaaaand cue the occasional attempted stifled gigglesnort.

Di... felt the stare. Raising an eyebrow, she tilted her head slightly to see who on the staff had been impolite enough to stare, and received a bit of a surprise. Oh my.

"Mr. Zookara?"

Of course, she doubted if her voice would reach him.

Di offered the fellow professor a small, sympathetic sort of smile. "Perhaps the Potions Mistress shall be able to lend you one," she suggested. This, of course, was complete proof that Di did not know the Potions Mistress, in the least. Though Di did recognize the face. Perhaps - most likely - she had seen it in a newspaper.

Di nodded. "Davina Markovic," she said, politely. "Ancient Runes."

It seemed as if the foreign students had finally settled down, a bit. Di looked up, as the seat next to Josephina was occupied. "Hello," she said politely, to the rather quiet-looking fellow professor.

That should do for a greeting.

Preston stepped back up onto the dias and slipped into his chair. Taking a moment to compose himself, , he finally reached for the napkin to place on his lap, before looking to the food set before him.

Dealing with those students had simultaneously increased his appetite and decreased his desire to eat. It was an interesting juxtaposition, and he spooned some sweet yams onto his plate before also gathering some chicken.

He cast a look down the table... most of his coworkers either engaged in conversation amongst themselves or with students who couldn't wait another second to speak with professors.

He was not feeling charitable.

Taking a long drink of pumpkin juice, he sighed to himself before turning to his dinner.

Max watched the food fight and sat silently in his seat.

The actions of the Ravenclaws had caused him to lose his appetite.

Not good. Not good at all.

All thoughts of chatting with Headmistress Enzo faded from his brain and he glared in the direction of the Claws.

How DARE they!

His glare intensified as Kingsley took care of the problem and visions of worthy detentions danced through his brain. He didn't realize it, but the thoughts made him smile.

Finally, Preston returned to the dias and sat down. Max twisted in his seat so that he could see his colleague. "Thank you, Professor Kingsley for handling the situation."

And why are students still hanging out at our table? Why can't they sit at their own and eat? Perhaps I should convince Tate to create a rule about leaving the staff alone while they eat. They have all term to see us in our offices....

Adeline walked up to the table. She really wanted to greet the head og house. She looked around. She already knew what to say. Of course, she wanted to make a great first impression. As she saw the proffesor, she walked up to her and said. "Hello, proffesor Lafay, My Name's Adeline Ann Morey, first year Slytherin. I heard that you are a great teacher and I am looking forward to taking your class." she said with a smile.

He turned and looked at the child. This one too was interrupting. "I am finishing my meal Miss Morey, I'm glad you heard good things about me, but let's not forget our manners." She said seeming as she was going to pounce on the girl like a snake to its pray.

Adeline avoided eyes contact and shuffled awa. Eeekkkk. She thought that she would like her. ScaryScary Scary first impression. But that still won't ruin her chance of doing good........ or will it?

Jozef was not a patient man and the person to the left of the Hogwarts Headmaster failed to give up his seat to him - a guest. The man must have dirt for brains.

"I think there's a place next to the lovely woman who graciously offered me a place to sit further down the table," Zitnik announced to Tate and his deputy, the former Quidditch star. "Gentlemen, I'll see both of you at the Goblet of Fire."

Walking stick in hand, he made his way over to where the Slytherin Head of House was seated.

"Pardon me, madam. May I pull up a seat and sit beside you?"

Hecate's head shot to the side. The Durmstrang headmaster was asking to sit beside her... "Please Headmaster," she said motioning to the area between her and Kingsley. "I'm sure Professor Kingley won't mind..." and she smiled at the transfiguration Professor, "Will you, Preston?"

"I don't think you understand, we can't have you running about like a fool, you need to drink this potion and calm yourself down." Surely he was not going to refuse the Healer's decision at the STAFF table, infront of all of his professors, Head of House and Headmaster?

Eyebrow raised expectantly, Lily held out the vial, unwavering. Hurry child, she wanted to actually eat tonight.
