"I'm hea," said Anna. After this year she was dropping out, so might as well have some fun. "I got some prnks in me purseee," she whispered. Anna pulled out a piece of sugar free gum. "Want some fatty?" squealed Anna. Her cousin now had a double cin, saggy stomach, and thunder thighs. After Anna's mean streak, she hardly ate at all. Her arms were like little twigs and Anna's legs were just one straight structure. Even though all of those changes, Anna still has soft, plump, rosy cheeks
Anna gigggled at Adeline and the multiple rolls on her torso
"What size are you now? Be honest!

"Yay!" she squaled. "ANd im not fat, I only gained about 20 pounds, and i used to weigh 70. I'm a 14. Deal with it. ANd what happened to you, you look like an inferous!" Adelyn said but then giggled. "So what are we doing today, Megan. Thats my new nickname for you. You look like one" she said as she yanked four pieces of gum away from Anna.

"I do not look like an inferous fatty. Know you're starting to look like a Julie. Thats your new nick name Ju-ya!" Anna was giggling.. "I was thinkin' tulia...." Anna mind wandered off. "SPIDER! TAKE THAT !" Anna screeched and waved her wand with no words. Anna always had the power to so stuff with no words.. a small spider in the corner fell from its web. "Hey Julia! If your soooo hungry all the time now, why don't you eat the spider?" Anna waved her wand and the dead spider rised up and flew into Julia's mouth

"Eww! ANyways! Lets get to pranking. What shall we do Sensi Megan?" she said clapping slowly.

Ewwww, why are you doin' the Kather Klap? Forget it. I dont really feel like pranking today." sighed Anna. Ahhhh.....!" she weeped, fleeing herself towards her cousin's pudgy body. Anna's make-up was running trembulsly. "Being a Gryffindor stinks! I'm sick of everyone thinking I'm the image of perfection! I've brought discreace to our fam...famm...FAMILY" Anna sat down on the floor crying. Her mom, dad, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and everyone else had all been in Slytherin, but she was a stupid Gryffindor

Adelyn smiled. "You know what? Hogwarts is a horrible excuse for a school. A talking hat? I reallly just don't get this place. Look at this tremendously ugly outfit? Gosh. I wish mom could pick us up now. Gees.... Who wants to live in an ugly castle like this with stupid houses" she kept going on "There is even like sycho teachers and students. Remember Hanustea? That was scary" she said hugging her cousin.

"Addy, can we...maybe leavvee....now" asked Anna. She knew the school was full of crack-pots in hidious robes. "But first, lets play some pranks that'll get us thrown right out of this wretched school!"

"ok what shall we do first? ANd to students, not teachers!" she squaled and jumped and hugged her cousin.

"As long as we are at this rat farm, lets give me a slthie mak-ova!"

"YAy! But first lets go to the dungeons so i can get some clothes for you!" she squaled. "JUMP Y HUGS!" she said as she went to hug anna.

"Don't worry, I got it covered!" Anna flashed herself into a "stylish" outfit. "Like it?"

"Anna. Morey. I. Think. I. Am. Gonna. Puke" she said then burst into cackles. "How bout dressing fancy then we can vist that stupid ball. Well anyways I brought some emergency clothes just incase. Here you go" she said shoving her the outfit. Addy then zapped a mathing one on!

"Oooooo! Addy! IT's perrrfectttt! Thanks. Now what were you saying about a ball?" asked Anna. "We should put green streaks in our hair!"

It was the nooks and crannies of the sixth floor corridor that drew Neptune to it. There was always some space to claim as her own, or a free window to sit alone in and watch over the grounds. She didn't necessarily wish to BE alone, but sometimes it just felt necessary.

"Dearest Fryxell," Neptune began orating a letter to her brother aloud as she wrote. Hmm. What to say from there? Neptune scooted up into the window and pulled her skirt over her knees. Hmmm. Lacking inspiration, she leaned into window and watched the wind blow (or maybe it was moving on its own?) through the Willow's branches.

"...I miss you because I have no real friends. I'm too good at driving them away, using them and making them feel like crap. I'm selfish and spoiled and nobody really likes me, except for you because you have to." Jimmy supplied in a 'Neptune voice', finding a patch of wall to lean on not far away.

... he'd kind of written a similar letter recently actually.

He peeked at her wrist.

Neptune startled at the voice, and after much juggling, lost the battle and dropped her quill and parchment. There were a few doodles on the paper that were for HER eyes only, so she quickly jumped down to rescue them.

As she shuffled through it, Neptune raised her eyes to Jim.

"You'd know about driving away your friends, James." Hmph. Now go away. "Not that I care. It's for the best, really."


SHRUG. The SHRUG that wouldn't fool anyone.

"I have more friends than you do." Jimmy pointed out quietly and then, "I'm still mad at you, you know." And she'd never really made much effort to be a real friend.

So... why was he standing here now?

"And?" Neptune stood and hugged her letter writing stuffs to her chest. "Quality over quantity. Suppose they're all very special friends." All the girls that Neptune had failed not to notice in her post-Jim days.

Whatever.


"I didn't do anything to you, James Wilkes. If anyone has ANY right to be mad at someone, it's me." This was punctuated with a trademark stomp.

"Yeah. My friends are quality." James responded seriously. The ones who he counted as friends, they WERE his friends. It was that simple. So what if one or two of them also happened to have available lips from time to time?

"See thats the problem. You only EVER see things in relation to YOU." He accused. "You don't CARE about other people."

"I care about..." Neptune bit THAT off and pursed her lips decidedly. She turned her back to him and climbed back up into her window seat and went right back to staring out.

It was easier to talk and hide and breathe with him at her back.


"If I'm so awful, then go away."

"But you're wrong." Just so he KNEW.

"Yeah. I'm trying." Obviously he was trying to go away. "Our families are still friends you know, its not like I can just pretend you don't exist."

Sigh.

Trying? Neptune flicked a look over her should at him, HMPH'd, and turned back to the window. She didn't see any invisible strings holding him down. He was just there to rub in that he ... ugh. GO AWAY JIM.


"I know how to pretend for Mother. And yours, too. So pretend when it's convenient for you, by all means." Like he had for the last WHILE now.

He was wrong again. He was SO wrong. She swung around though and looked at him, allowing herself the FULL body look that she'd denied herself for a LONG time now. "You weren't ever with me. You were with this girl and that girl, and all the girls. But not me."

"Its harder than it looks." Ignoring her. Sulky now. James pouted a little and looked away, though he stayed leaning against the stone wall.

"You were happy enough to use me." Jimmy answered. "And once we got here.." He shook his head. "My best friend knows all about you. What about your friends, huh? You don't want them to know? Or didn't, I guess I should say. Like I said, you were happy me being your dirty little secret, as long as you were getting attention." He scrubbed at his face with one hand, showing a whole lot more discomfort than was usual for one James. S. Wilkes.

"You never cared. Not really. Never appreciated ME." He pointed out. "It was ALL about you all the time."

"And my best friend knows all about you." Okay, maybe not everything. Maybe not every detail. But Kellen knew enough... Mostly... "I don't even KNOW who your best friend IS, Jim... Doesn't that say something? You don't... you only talk to me when no one is around."


She waved a hand around to the empty corridor, illustrating the point. Would he have stopped to talk to her if someone was here to witness? Probably NOT.

Neptune hopped down from her perch though, leaving her things behind in the window. She moved in front of him, crossed her arms, and jutted a hip out. "As ridiculous as ALL of that is," because it mostly was, "at least you were a special little secret, Jim Wilkes. I NEVER said ANYTHING bad about you ever to any of MY friends. I... well. I might have liked you a lot, before I got smart and moved well and truly on."

It might have been about her all the time, but the thing was... Neptune had been all about HIM all the time. Tragically, still was, despite trying pretty hard not to be.

"It says that you don't LISTEN to me." James grounded out. "My best friend is, and always has been," Except for that brief moment where he'd kind of started considering it to be her, "Finlay Carmichael and you KNOW that, or you would if you paid any attention to ME and who I am and not just what I can give to you."

He crossed his arms over his chest too when she moved to stand in front of him, his jaw set. It was weird. Noticing, after not having her nearby for long enough that it was obvious, she seemed shorter. Actually it was just that he'd found another inch since the last time they'd... talked.

"Its your fault, everything I said." Cam had been.... teasing him and... well obviously it wasn't like Neptune had ever given any indication that she wanted people to KNOW about stuff, and maybe a big part of his denial to Cam had been an attempt to deny things to himself because who in their right mind would want to acknowledge maybe liking someone a bit more than you'd prefer, when that person used you and didn't want others to know about you and generally made no indication that an unwanted feeling like that was gonna be returned?

He clamped his jaw shut again and blinked furiously.
