Second Floor Corridor So many a door and so many a chore are found on this, the second floor. |
How many levels did this school have seriously? I've never seen this many unless it was like a shopping mall and even then, there was no mall that's around Ottawa is actually as old as this school. Hailey knew she was going to get lost if she hadn't decided to stay in one place, which was the last thing that she needed now. Finally stopping in her tracks, she sat down on the ground and grabbed her brand new copy of Hamlet from her pocket; opening it up to where she last was and continuing to read. She was yet to find anyone who appreciated Shakespeare as much as she did but hopefully someone around this school could understand the Old English language and would end up speaking with her about one of the most, if not the most brilliant writers in all of English literature. |
Mia was decidedly lost. She had decided to go for a walk on her own which strictly speaking was not a good idea for a girl who had absolutely no sense of direction and wasn't particularly bright. It also didn't help that while she was walking down the staircase it had moved on her. So now she had no idea where she was. But that didn't really bother Mia at all, she would eventually find her way back to her common room at some point. As she walked along the corridor and staring up at some of the portraits on the wall. They actually moved! How cool was that! Her feet however managed to hit something kinda soft and the next thing she knew, she was sprawled on the floor. |
Why was this story so odd? It confused Hailey to the point where she wanted to set the book down and think about it, of course that meant a bit of effort but it would have been worth it. She had to take a break since the tiny text in the book was making her eyes hurt when she noticed a girl go flying then hit the ground rather hard, Ouch dude.. now that had to have hurt. "You alright there?" Hailey asked curiously when she closed her book for the time being, there was no way she would leave someone sprawled out on the floor cause that just wasn't the proper thing to do. |
Rolling onto her back, Mia gave a half hearted little giggle. Even when she was hurt the girl could still laugh. She winced a little as she sat up and looked over at the girl who had spoken. "Well everything seems to still be in working order, so I guess it's not that bad." She wiped her hands on her robes and she felt a sharp stinging pain. Just a small graze. She'd had worse she supposed but it still hurt. Deciding she wasn't going to stand just yet, Mia stayed on the floor and gave the girl a bright smile. "Probably should look where I am going. My name is Mia" she added. |
Man this girl was seriously great, after tripping and going flying then still managing to laugh; totally impressive. "Well that's definitely awesome, I was a little concerned there when I saw you go flying there but so as long as you're okay then things are all cool." Hailey nodded slightly and brought her knees up to her chest, maybe that's what the girl tripped over; now dude that definitely sucks. "That's a good idea, though I can't say I've not done the same. Nice to meet you Mia, my name's Hailey." Bit of an informal introduction, however there was no need to be all like mega serious right now. |
"Nice to meet you as well Hailey. I would shake your hand but uh..." Mia held up her hand to show Hailey that her hands were all grazed and there was a little bit of blood on them. And they really, really stung but she didn't want to look like a baby. Mia's gaze fell on the book that Hailey was holding and she looked at it curiously, "Shakesphere?" She looked back at the girl and smiled, "Are you muggleborn? Or do you just have an appreciation for muggle literature?" |
"Ah yeah... that looks lovely, did a good job there eh." Hailey chuckled slightly, after she noticed Mia's hands; it wasn't like she was disgusted or anything, she just didn't want to hurt the girl any further. Seemed like people around here could pick up on muggleborns, was there like some kind of detection thingy? "Yeah I'm muggleborn and a transfer student as well, this is the first wizarding school I've been to. Totally different from how things were back at my old school in Canada." Hailey said before picking the book up off the ground, at least it wasn't one of her older copies that would have fallen apart. "I'm a big fan of Shakespeare, namely his brilliant writing that was displayed in Romeo and Juliet, people might think that I'm crazy for reading it but I just like the whole underlying concept behind it." And here comes the nerd.. ahem.. smart Hailey. She wasn't a nerd! |
Noticing Hailey's look, Mia giggled a little sheepishly. "I'm sorry to stereotype you. It's just that I have noticed that there aren't much muggle things around this place. Only those who live with muggles have it, so I immediately assumed." Mia was in the same boat really even though her father was a wizard. "This is my first time at a wizarding school as well. I was homeschooled previously." Watching as Hailey picked up her book, Mia groaned inwardly. Obviously this girl knew all things Shakesphere. All Mia knew was the guy's name. So she hoped that Hailey wasn't going to pepper her with questions because that would make her look like a total tosser. "Well I certainly don't think you're crazy for reading it. You should be able to read anything you like. It broadens your horizons as my mother always says." It was a pity that Mia never took her mother's advice on that, the only thing she ever read was the comics in the Sunday paper. "So what year are you in Hailey?" |
"Ah no it's cool, my mother is a muggle and my father is a wizard so I'm not quite used to all this yet; just finding out that you're a witch only like 2 years ago definitely came a surprise." Hailey was still trying to find out everything there was to know about the wizarding world but so far it was just like overwhelming to her. She listened while Mia was speaking then immediately picked up the fact that she didn't know much more about Shakespeare, dude apparently this was going to be like the never ending quest to find someone of any intellectual value to discuss the guy. "Well your mother is right, I just like to read brilliant literature and discuss it with my peers; people just assume I'm unintelligent cause I'm a hockey player and a snowboarder." Of course she was just more than that but that's all that Mia needed to know for now. "Umm I'm a 4th year, even though I'm 13; I'm quite brilliant for my young age." She wasn't a nerd either. That was her twin Reagan. |
Cora was determined to figure out how Hufflepuff lost points already. She started wandering around the school trying to find out what the deal was. She can't believe that Slytherin was in the lead now. Uhg!!! "Does anyone know how Hufflepuff lost points already???" she said to the other people wandering around the halls. |
CALEY and ANYONE ELSE WHO WANT'S TO RP!!! Beck walked around and up some more moving stairs. Ah Second Floor Corridor! Nice. The First Floor Corridior was alright but this one was up higher. Wow that just sound weird even in his head. Hmph. He was bored and wanted some girl to just walk up to him and talk to him or think/tell him that he was hot. Okay kinda selfish but he wasn't used to anyone not talking to him and not flirting with anyone. At Beauxbatons ever single girl would flirt with him. Not fair at all. Beck felt very lonely. Frown. |

"Beck?" |
Quote:
"Savvy!" |
Quote:
"How are you?"She asked looking at him."You met any new people?" |
Quote:
"I'm doing good." He told her. "How have you been?" Beck asked his ex. A little akward but not as bad as he thought it was going to be. He was glad that it wasn't bad to talk to her but he still felt bad for not writing to her. "Let's see I've met Sapphy, Aiden, Feenela, Brielle, Hayley, Lily and Nekoda." |

"Oh you play hockey? That's cool. I've seen the game played but actually haven't played myself. I'm not very good at sports." She pointed down at her feet and grinned at Hailey. "I've got two left feet." And because there were other things she would rather be doing. "Isn't a little violent? Aren't you worried about being hit with the stick?" Mia shuddered she couldn't think of anything worse than being smacked in the shins with one of those hickey sticks. At Hailey's mention of being brilliant, Mia grinned a little. Well modesty certainly wasn't something the students of Hogwarts had a lot of. Quote:
Oh well hellooooo! She immediately straightened up a little and brushed the front of her robes down. Mia was really starting to like Hogwarts a lot. |

Oh and he was walking her way. Mia turned to face him fully and she smiled as he greeted her. Of course she had no idea what language that was but she figured he must be saying hello, if he wasn't she was about to look like an idiot. Wouldn't be the first time. "Hello yourself." She replied holding out her hand to him. "I'm Mia. And what should I call you?" Besides tall, dark and handsome? |
Quote:
"I'm Beck Salvatore." Beck told her shaking her hand. |
........ :errr: NU UH. NU UHHH. There was no way this little 5th or 4th year was going to sit here and make her seem ignored, the blonde coughed, eying Beck out of the corner of her eyes. "Mmm...I like your hair better though."She said and then carelessly ran her fingers through his hair, smirking not even speaking to the younger girl before her. She looked at the younger girl for a moment and then back up at Beck, smiling. Did he know what he was doing? He probably did. SNORT. Typical guy. "Waiiiiiiiit....Aiden and Nekoda?" Uh oh. The blonde pulled her hand out from his hair, eyes wide. "Did they mention me by any chance?"Gulp. |

Beck shook his head. "No, well Aiden said the you can be a bit dramatic but I told him that you weren't." |
Quote:
She had no idea what she had done to cause him to blush but she liked it. Made him look even more cuter than he did already. Shaking his hand, Mia gave him another smile before letting go. "It's lovely to meet you Beck. So what is that language you were speaking?" Ugh, she had just admitted that she wasn't very experienced in other cultures. Mia had noticed the older girl running her fingers through Beck's hair and she gave a mental shrug. She was just being friendly to guy, if they had a thing going then she wasn't about to get in the way. She did find it amusing however that she and the seventh year seemed to be hanging out with the same guys. |

"Yeah I do, I'm the Captain and the Center; my brother is the Goalie and my mom is the coach so it oddly all works out in the end. On the ice, I'm known as Captain Crusher for my fast body checks that leave players with broken bones." She chuckled slightly when she remembered the cheer that her fans had given her, it was always involving some type of growl which was great. "It's majorly violent actually, I've suffered broken bones, a couple cuts, a twisted ankle, the sticks aren't a problem to worry about since we've got helmets with a visor unless they break and people can trip over them." |
