Iris laughed at the boys words. "Ahh... Well, I only know a couple of Lions, so I'll have to go by your word on that." Teehee. Well, really, she only knew Josh and Simon... And well, Josh wasn't awesome. He was ANNOYING.

Rolling her eyes at the boys expression, Iris nodded. Yes, lots of prinesses... Eugh. What are princesses good for? Nothing. They just sit there and look pretty. Goddesses are pretty and get stuff done. Like blowing up the people that they don't like. As the boy said that he didn't know who this Iris was, Iris smiled. She wasn't expecting him to know, really. "Iris is one of the minor Greek gods. She's Hera's messenger, and the Greeks believed that Iris created rainbows when she travelled inbetween this world and Olympus, sending messages." Hehe. Greek Mythology was briiiilliant. They should teach it at Hogwarts. It'd easily be Iris' best class. Heck, she could even be the professor. Not that she's AMAZING in that area of knowledge... hehe.

HE THINKS HER SHOES ARE COOL! Hehe. That just completely made this kid awesome. "Hehe. Thanks. I'm really glad with how they came out." Iris looked down at her shoes once more, before hiding her feet again under the dress.

Oh... yeah. Introductions. They didn't actually know each other, did they? O__O ... Dude, this guy was going to think that Iris is mental; dressing up as the Goddess that she's named after. Oh well. "Nice to meet you Legend..." Legend Chosen... Well, that makes MY name feel exceptionally normal. "I'm Iris Beaumont." Slytherin PREFECT. But nuu, she could leave that detail out. Teehee.

Oddly enough, Legend didn't know many Lion's himself. Alright he KNEW them he just didn't really hang out with them. HOUSE UNITY! "Even if you knew all the Lion's it's so obvious to tell." He was blond. Tall. A CHOSEN. And had awesome comebacks. No Lion could be cooler.

Alright. So this girl was dressed up as a Goddess lady who did nothing but send messages...but like...she went so fast that she made rainbows or something? Didn't his dad tell him that rainbows were made by light? GAH! He'd have to ask Artie. "That actually sounds...really confusing. But If I understood it I think it would be cool." Yeah. Basically. "Are those Greek Goddess's still around? I never understood Greek mythology, my sister's Greek too so I guess that's bad." Maybe he could learn a thing or two and then sound extra smart.

"Now if you could fly with those things...you'd be unstoppable." And all those Quidditch players would be crying themselves to sleep because they could only fly with brooms.

Of course it was nice to meet him. But he wasn't going to say that. No..his hand was too preoccupied with the fact that....the girl's name was Iris...yet she was dressed like Iris. "Iris.....wouldn't it be weird if you're extremely distantly related from that Goddess...or...you could just be crazy." Legend grinned. Yeaaah, either or.

"Hmm. I suppose so." Iris was tempted to roll her eyes at his enthusiasm for his egotistical...ness. But she didn't. Because that would be mean. Instead, the prefect just grinned. Teehee.

Iris nodded. "It is confusing... But you're right. All of the gods are really cool, though." Iris shuffled in her seat a bit, and nodded as she ran her hair through her curls. Are they still around? "Uhh.... I dunno. They could be. I really don't know, though." They might not even be REAL, for all they knew. She wasn't going to say that out loud though, y'know... just in case Zeus lightening bolt'd her. "You have a Greek sister? Wow... that's cool. It's not that bad that you don't understand Greek Mythology, though. Loads of people don't."

SNORT! Iris laughed, " *hahaha* I guess you're right. I've never tried, though. Tell you what, tomorrow, I'll try to see if I can charm them to fly. Then I'll come find you and let you know." WOW, imagine the money she'd get if she invented flying SHOES?!

Ah. Now, why was Iris not suprised at this reaction? Hehe. "I think the second one's probably more true, to be honest." gigglesnort. "Though, I was named after Iris..."

Ah! So he wasn't stupid for not knowing that was good. That meant that he didn't have to find out because it wasn't important. Duh. He probably would though, just to seem smarter, and therefore better than everyone else. He remembered a Greek story from when he was younger, about a little baby who was really strong, and then after he had this magic white horse. Hey...."Greek God's and Goddess are kind of like Superhero's if you think about it. They all have like...a certain power, or thing that they are assigned to
do." Mwaha. Awesome.

"Yeah. She works in Diagon Alley. She lived in Greece her whole life but I grew up in Italy." Little Italian boooy! Maybe that's why he was so loud? "Alright but if they fly, I gotta be your business manger cause I gave you the idea." That meant that he wanted MONEY.

Legend chuckled. "I like you Iris you're cool." Anyone who wouldn't freak out about him calling them crazy was cool. "What year are you in? And how come you're not here with any friends?" He looked around expecting to see the Greek Goddess's friend's somewhere.

Simon had come down from the common room alone for Viky had insisted on surprising him on what her costume looked like. So when he reached the Great Hall, the Gryffindor 5th year looked around for familiar faces. He managed to spot a few housemates in amongst the costumed crowd that sometimes included enough to hide identity.

Simon himself had opted to forgo a mask just for simplicities sake as well as to prevent mix-ups. Even the superhero costume he wore was downplayed so it wasn't too flashy. But he had to admit some of the costumes were really good especially the ones of those he could reconize as dancing professors, making him glance towards the staff seating as he took his own seat to see the rest.

Cass walked down towards the sitting area hoping to find any of her friends. She held part of her gown in her hands as she walked around groups of her fellow students, taking food back to their tables, talking, laughing, generally having a good time. She was starting to feel the toll of going as an Renaissance lady on her shoulders. She stopped by the wall as she let her blue and black skirt cover her feet as the hems swept the floor. She wasn't happy being here alone, and dateless. and to make things worse, her besties weren't even here to keep her company.

Freya was walking towards the sitting area after a dancing session with Elliot. She looked around the sitting room to find someone that she knew and luckily for her, she found Cass leaning on the wall looking very lonely. Wondered why? She walked towards her besties "Hey Cass." she patted Cass's back. "You look very lovely" she said. Yup Cass was very lovely in her dress. "What are you dressing up as?" she asked.

"Hey Freya." Cass said as smiled slightly when she saw her friend "An lady during the Italian Renaissance." She said "You?"

"Italian Renaissance? Wow. Never knew that will coming. I thought you'd be going as France lady or something like that." Freya giggled. "But I love your costume" she smiled. "Oh. I'm dressing up as Mad hatter." she said giggling and pointing her finger at her hat. "A girl version of course" That would be very weird if she come to the ball dressing up like the real mad hatter.

"Yeah, Italy was a total surprise. I didn't want to go overboard...and French fashion tend to go overboard sometimes." Cass explained, then she laughed, how come she didn't notice the large hat on her head? "Oh yeah. I didn't notice. Sorry." Cass said, then she grinned at Freya and asked "So, did you come to the ball with a date?"

"Yeah tell me about it" Freya nodded her head. Sometime French fashion was overboard. "It's okay. No harms done" she said laughing. A date? Was Elliot is her date? Nope. He was definitely not her date. "Nope I come with my friend and he is not my date" she said. "How about you?Did you come here with Hugo?" now her times to grinned.

Cass smile fell at the mention of Hugo. She lowered her head and shook it as she watched her curls sway from side to side "No...I..wasn't able to ask him actually."

Viky walked into the seating area, trying not to fall over in the heels she was wearing. She wasn't used to being this tall, it felt kinda weird. She hadn't been able to decide on an actual costume, so she'd done the same thing as some of the other girls she'd seen and simply come in a gown and a mask. And heels.

She spotted Simon at a table and walked over, making sure he didn't see her as she approached. Coming up behind him, she put her gloved hands over his eyes. 'Guess who?' she said, giggling. She knew he'd get it straight away, but hey.

"Oh how so?" Freya asked. Maybe Cass was too afraid to ask him? Well. That was her first guess. "Hey. Maybe you could meet him here and you guys could dance around." she said smirking. Who knows, right? "He was coming to the ball right?"

"I wasn't able to ask him in time..." Cass said softly. It was a huge blow to her pride...her only chance was if she saw him around...and she highly doubted that. "Yeah..I think so..."

Simon was distracted people-watching the other party goers that he hadn't noticed someone coming up right behind him till his eyes suddenly went black and he felt the cloth of gloves against the skin of his face right before a female voice spoke. "Hmm I wonder who it could possibly be?" he mused even though he knew who it was.

His own hands reaching up to take her own and slipping them away from his eyes, he turned around and stood up in one smooth move. The benefit of not wearing to ackward a choice of costume. The Gryffindor boy was about to say something more when he noticed what the young woman before him was wearing.

Viky laughed, and wobbled slightly as she did so. Ugh, stupid shoes. She knew that Simon knew it was her, but she didn't take her hands away yet. She was going to make him keep guessing...

...Or not. She smiled at the look on Simon's face, and did a little twirl - a slow one, though, so she could keep her balance and not look like an idiot as she fell over. 'Do you like it?' she asked, hoping that he did. She didn't usually wear dresses and heels and girly clothes, she was more of a jeans person. Although it was nice to dress up for parties sometimes.

"Oh. I see" Freya nodded her head once again. "Come on Cass think positive! I'm sure you could find him. After all how many students in here anyways." Okay there are a lot of students here but hey how difficult it could be finding a person? "I'll help you find him." she said and she needs to find Fee maybe she knows where Hugo is. She won't let her besties standing here alone all night without a dance or two!

"I do hope so..." Cass said uncertainly as she looked around the room looking for Hugo while she played with her ball mask in her hands absently. Then she looked back at Freya with a smile and said "Thanks, you don't know how much that means to me love."

"Don't mention it." Freya said smiling. "It won't be a ball if you didn't dance, right?" she grinned. Maybe when Cass and Hugo dance together they could create a spark between them and after that Voala the new it couple after Fee and Edmond will born. But before that she must Hugo so he and Cass could dance together. "Hmm..If I were a Ravenclaw guy were will I'd be?" she asked herself while looking around the ballroom.

"Around the hottest Ravenclaw girl" Cass muttured. She really was loosing her optimism. Oh they things love does. Its....confusing.

Aiden wanted a little break from the crowded dance floor, so he meandered on over to one of the seating areas. After glancing around for an open spot, he pulled out a chair and took a seat, flipping his Roman Red! cape out of his way before doing so. Leaning his back against the back of the seat, he let his eyes wander to all the dressed-up students.

Rhea thought she felt the tiniest sweat droplets on her face so she hastily made her way over to one of the seating areas to sit and cool off. No way could she risk getting sweaty, not when her nake up had taken up so much of her time not to mention her hair. Plus she was wearing yellow. If she started sweating it would definitely show.

She plopped down on a seat that a caped guy was leaning up against. Pfft he would have to share. She was Gaia after all, goddess of the earth. He better share or experience famine she looked up at him mentally rating his costume and almost checking him out when she realised that it was Aiden. Oh dear." Chevalier!" she laughed shaking her head." dude I totally almost checked you out!"

Aiden turned his head to see some goddess, otherwise known as Rhea Bellaire the Lakedweller. "Rhea," he grinned. He gave a laugh when she told him that she was ready to check him out until she realized it was him. "Well, you know.. I don't blame you." He struck a dramatic statuesque pose for a moment before releasing a puff of air and dropping his hands back to his sides.

"You look pretty," he commented, giving her chair a kick at the leg. He wasn't quite sure which goddess she was supposed to be, though. Hmmmm. Maybe something to do with lakes?

Rhea laughed and shook her head as Aiden struck a pose. She had to admit her bestie was a hottie but telling him that would further inflate his rather big head. Tehee." oh whatever meng, I don't know how I put up with you and your ego." she chuckled again and poked him. She tugged at his cape. What was he suppose to be anyways? A gladiator?[B]" who are you?[B]"

" why thank you" she got up to do a curtsy and show off her full outfit. She didn't miss the little kick on her chair before she got up though." I'm Gaia, goddess of the earth, and yes Aiden it involves the lake. She takes the form of any natural element" she eyed him because she knew the lakedweller comment wasn't far off.
