"Whoa." She said, looking back, bewildered, at the girl. She looked where she was running from and her eyes fell upon..Beck? "What...happened?" she asked worriedly, jerking her thumb towards the crying girl and taking a seat next to her. |

Rolling her eyes at him, Mia nudged him playfully with her elbow. “You could but after a while you may find that you are talking to yourself again.” She knew that she would happily listen to him talk whether it be about himself or something else but he didn't need to know that. His hand interlocked with hers made Mia smile and her heart race a little. How did he manage to do that with just a simple touch? And how was it that when she looked into his eyes everything and everyone just seemed to fade into the background as if it were just the two them? And then he was looking at the pot she had made and she could see every imperfection as he held it up. Mia winced a little when she looked at it. She knew that she should have given him one of her better ones but her mother had told her that this was the one to give him. Something about letting him see the hard work she had put into it and that nothing is ever perfect. Ehhh whatever that meant. She had wanted to tell him that she had told her parents (well her mother to be exact) that he might be visiting over the summer and that she was cool with it. But then her mother was always cool with stuff. But she had said that she wouldn't pester him about it anymore so she didn't let on. Mia beamed up at him when he complimented her pot. “Thank you. I'm glad that you like it.” Ecstatic was more like it but he could probably tell that from her expression. A grin spread across her lips as she took in his sheepish expression. It made her feel a little pleased with herself that he might actually be jealous of other guys looking at her. Well he had nothing to worry about there because no other guy held her interest like he did. And it wasn't like there were any other guys looking at her anyway. Even though she had been thinking about going to change. How could she possibly leave now after he had said that. “We could always change outfits.” She said playfully and giving him a wink before leaning across him and picking up his cape and wrapping it around herself. “Better?” She asked him before leaning in and whispering into his ear. "There's no place I would rather be, then here with you." She was just turning away from Marie and back to Nik when he spoke. “Yep that's Marie.” She answered and turning to look at her friend again. “She's one of my best friends here. We got off to a bit of a shaky start but I like to think that we're pretty close now.” Mia turned back to Nik and smiled. “Marie is a really nice girl, I think you would like her.” She conveniently left out that the Slytherin would punch your lights out if you messed with her. |
Aidan sat down in an empty seat at the edge of the seating area and adjusted the leather vambraces on his forearms so they wouldn't slide down his arms any more than they already had. He ran his hand over the helm he had put on, making sure it covered his whole head and disguised part of his face, and adjusted it so it didn't cover his mouth. He looked around, and leaned back against the chair. He liked costume parties; it gave him a chance to watch others and learn about the other sides of someone's personality. It also gave him a chance to wear an awesome gladiator costume. He smirked and watched the couples dance on the dance floor. |
SPOILER!!: Mia and her Champion Marie was just about to turn away from Mia and her Champion when she caught sight of Mia looking at her all guilty like, and then she waved. She waved back at Mia and gave her a 'You have some explaining to do' look. Oh, and now Mr. Champion was waving at her too. She waved back at both of them then turned away. She wasn't about to bother Mia now while she was on her date but she would get her later. Yeah, she would be finding out later all about Mia and her champion. |

Smiling, he walked over her. "Hey there." Pause. "Having fun?" The lamest question ever. |
Freya sat down in an empty chair at the seating area. She was really tired after dancing around with Elliot and now she couldn't even find him. Typical Elliot. He must be somewhere at the food table. She looked around and saw students chattering, she hoped she could find any familiar faces but no such luck. |

She gracefully walked over, playing with her blonde curls as she did, getting some rather flirty glances from guys as she went- but she had a boyfriend, sorry boys! She got those looks way too often to even care. She smiled to herself and then sat down in a chair next to Freya. "Heya!" she remarked with a friendly smile to her. |

"But, apart from that. Just y'know missing my boyfriend. So much!" she said, she did miss him so much. She couldn't wait until he started next term! It would be so much better here then. |

"I'm great." Freya said smiling. She nodded her head when she heard Taylor comment about this term. "Yeah this term is kinda crazy. The Professor never gave us a time out from the homework." she sighed but Thank Merlin that the Headmaster was kind enough to hold this costume ball. "Oh. You had a boyfriend?" she asked. Wow, she never knew that Taylor already had a boyfriend "Is he a Hogwarts student too?" |

Evan! "Hey Evan." She said smiling at him when he got to the table. "Yeah, I'm having a great time. What about you?" She did a quick look around to see if he was alone. Of course she didn't expect him to come alone but whoever he came with better be a friend only. He better not have a real date or she would have to thump him and remind him about his girlfriend. The one he would be seeing very soon... once school was out. |

Okay, so he said he was having a good time but hearing that sigh of his she didn't quite believe him. "Are you here alone?" Not even knowing his answer yet she was feeling bad for him already. She knew this had to be hard on him not having Mia here with him. Hearing him ask who she was with brought a rather huge smile to her face. "I'm here with James Wilkes, 5th year Ravenclaw. Do you know him?" Yes, she had finally moved on from her moping, crying over Carter days to snogging, dancing and having a good time with Jimmy days. Life was good for her once again. |

He chuckled at the question as he eyed the dancing floor for a hint of Iris. Did he look that desperate? Thank Merlin he wasn't, not yet. "I'm here with Iris," he said with a nod, turning back to her again as he couldn't spot the prefect. Of course Marie knew her, no? He didn't need any more identification. "She's dancing with people, and I decided to take a look around." More correctly he was bored. Who was that guy, James? He looked a bit lost when she introduced her date. "No, I don't know him." He paused, taking in her happy look. "But obviously he makes you happy." Smile. That was good, she needed someone nice afer Carter. |

"Iris, as in Prefect Iris?" As in the same Iris that hated him? Wow, things had changed and she hadn't even noticed he had new friends. She had been so wrapped up in her problems this term she really hadn't spent as much time with Evan as she would have liked to. Oh, so Evan didn't know James. "Well he's off talking to some friends right now but maybe I can introduce you to him later." Let him see that she really had moved on with her life without Carter in it. "Yeah, he makes me really happy." she said with a huge smile on her face. She hadn't felt this happy in well over a year, since before Carter told her Kay was going out of the country with him. She only hoped this happiness lasted. After all, summer was just around the corner and she didn't have the greatest track record for having fun or happy summers. |
Rex sat down by himself at the table. He wonders about Daisy. |
