"Mhmm." Rhea was probably used to dressing up in fancy nice dresses with those cocktail parties her parents would throw. "Well, you're pulling off the Goddess look very well, buddy." Aha! No wonder she chose Gaia - it had to do with LAKES! "Hah. I knew it. Sooo predictable." Well.... not really, but she was such a lakedweller. heheh. |
Sorry it's late! >_< Quote:
Grinning, Sarah straightened herself out in the seat. It wouldn't do for a queen to slouch. "Oh that she was. And a great player too, no wonder the Harpies wanted her so soon." Smiling softly, Sarah nodded her head as Melanie praised Miranda. She really wished her friend could have been there - it would have been fun to try and get her in a costume. "Hmm, yeah, Miranda wasn't too happy about that either," she giggled, remembering the response to her letter. Her? "Me? I love watching it, can't say I'm very good at playing it. Although I could always picture myself with a beaters bat in hand..." she snorted, looking down at her dress and fiddling with a thread. A beaters bat and a bludger in the shape of Saylen's head? Or maybe even Lafay's. She could see that. "Nice outfit, by the way." Sarah smiled, admiring the hat Melanie was wearing. "Darn sight more practical than mine." Snort. |

Don't be shy Bennett. "Would you like to sit for a bit...or get something to eat...or dance?" he asked making each offering but the last came out the most hesitant among them as if he was unsure. |
Quote:
Right. Sit, eat, or dance. 'How about we dance?' she said, taking his hand and moving towards the dancefloot, completely unaware of how nervous he had sounded when making the suggestion. |
Quote:
"Umm alright," the Gryffindor answered though not as if he had much choice since he wasn't going to fight her leading as Viky took his hand, following obediantly out to the dance floor. |
Don't worry about it. :) Quote:
And then Sarah answered her question. "A beater's bat, eh?" Melanie had to grin at that. "I'm the same way as you are with quidditch, with some muggle sports." She liked watching them, but preferred not to play. For some reason, Melanie was a lot less coordinated on the ground than she was in the air. Yaaay! She liked her costume! Melanie beamed proudly, tipping her hat cordially. "Why thank you, Fair Maiden!" She was getting into character, of course. "...Or ... Queen, is it?" she asked, as an after thought, eying the other girl's costume. It certainly looked like a queen's dress! |
Getting away from the food fight, Ellie sat down across the room with her plate full of all the food she managed to fit on it. She took her hat off, and placed it next to her. She really didn't like it. It was just annoying. And it always felt as if it were about to fall off. So, best to keep it off. And she stowed her wand back in it's holster. She picked up a chocolate and popped it into her mouth. Heh. Chocolate makes everything better. Always. |
*continuing from the food tables* If anyone wants to claim. *eyes certain people* As she'd left the food tables, Grayson hadn't missed the food fight that had broken out behind her. She hadn't missed Professor Lafay's interruption of same either, but the only reason she'd loked back was to see if anything had happened to the mini cakes she'd planted. It seemed liek nothing had, but nobody had eaten one either. No funny giant people yet, but she still had hope. The last ball had panned out for her, if not how she'd planned, so she had faith this one would either. Something had to happen, at least. But first she had brownies to eat, so she continued walking until she arrived at an empty table. She sighed a little that she hadn't found any of her friends yet, but there was still time. Same as there was still time for someone to fall prey to her costume-inspired prank. Placing the plate of brownies on the table, she set her glass of butterbeer next to it before taking a seat. Looping her feet behind the legs of the chair, she fished in her (magicked) pocket for a couple of the little vials she still had and lined them up on the table as well. Breaking off a piece of one of the brownies, she ate it before she leaned forward to play with the vials. At least she could occupy herself for the time being, imagining what could happen with the potions she'd created. Enjoying the music too, even as she didn't dance. Dancing was something she'd rather do with people, and so far she was by herself. Therefore, she was going to enjoy her snack and wait to see if anything would happen. |
The lanky kid dressed head to toe in black as a rather foppish Adam Ant inspired He still didn't sit, deciding that it would spoil the whole effect of his costume, so he leaned against a wall looking hella cool (in his head) and took in all the fascinating outfits around him. Since he had got used to the waxy caked on make up on his face and all the layers of clothing, he was LOVING this. Oliver did love any chance to show off. He spotted Sarah in a biiiiig white dress conversing with another girl and grinned. She would be dragged to the dancefloor later on if Oliver had his way. She looked nice, but the dress made her look like a human sized meringue.. or a toilet roll cover or something. Heh. Oh and there was Rhea too - she could expect the same treatment as Sarah. :shifty: Now... where the hell was Trixie? |
Quote:
Her eyes wandered across all the different costumes when they fell upon some person leaning against the wall instead of sitting. Eh what was the point in that. Seats were there for a reason, to be SAT on. But the more she looked, the more she began to realise that 'person' was actually Oliver. Heh. *Smiiiirk* "Aren't you supposed to be sat in a seating area?" the almost seventeen year old asked as she walked up behind him whilst whistling innocently just to add to the little innocent act. |
Oliver heard her before he saw her and he turned to look at Trixie with a massive smirk plastered across his face. “My lady.” He bowed, tipping his hat to the blonde girl dressed all in gold. But he didn't continue the act like he had with Cam, because Trixie had apparently recognised him straight away. Cameron was officially nuts. But nuts in a really cute kinda way, you know? Heh. He snorted at her words and looked down at his attire. “These trousers are tight, man. I sit, there's no guarantee I'll be able to get back up again.” He grinned at Trix and cast an eye over her and her outfit. Very Nice. :eyebrows: All the girls here looked so.. nice. “So what are you supposed to be? One of King Midas's victims?” Inventive. Or did Trixie just have a weird obsession with the colour gold. |
Trixie immediately rolled her eyes at Olivers...Charming act, in typical fashion. "Yeah nice try" the blonde smirked at him totally not falling for the act. "What are you..some piratey....princely.. person?" she asked, her head tilted as she looked at the costume. Slightly vague but well, Trixie didn't really get the Muggle world. She was read Goldilocks as a child so thats how she knew that character. It was a memory that had recently returned. "....Or there's not guarantee that it wouldn't leave a rip straight down the back" she giggled, a lot at the thought. "Well I'm sitting even if your not, these heels are KILLING me" Yeah like to see him walking around in these. "Why'd you choose them then?" she asked a smirk on her face. Hey, she wasn't complaining. Err..Better not say that out loud. "Well number one I have no idea who that person is so I'm gonna say no..." she started to explain. "Isn't it totally obvious?" she asked, twirling a strand of hair in her fingers, pulling off that total 'I'm so innocent' act. "You know? Porridge....Three Bears...Too hot..Too cold, just right..." she hinted. Should she wait for him to guess or just come straight out with it. "I'm GOLDILOCKS" Like...DUH! |

Rhea beamed when Aiden said she was pulling off the Gaia goddess look. But then he RUINED it when he started up with the whole having to do with lake bit, though really she had seen this coming. She really had. Aiden never passed up an opportunity to poke fun at her. She rolled her eyes." oh whatever Aiden. She is supposedly responsible OTHER stuff too you know. Like the seasons and all that jazz." she adjusted the tiara thing and smiled." so where is your date?" |

He relaxed and removed the mask, allowing it to dangle round his neck once again and looked down at the girl in front of him, snickering a little at her joke as she giggled at it herself. “That'd be embarrassing.” He murmured. He looked down at her heels. They didn't look THAT high.. not like Cam's choice anyway. He nodded. Meh... so he'd forgo his reputation and sit if only to keep Trix company. He pulled out a seat at the table next to them and gestured for her to sit. “My lady.” heh. He was sooo charming wasn't he? He sat himself and looked at Trixie. “The trousers?” He asked with a raised brow. “Because nothing else looked right with this.” He gestured to himself with a wave of the hand. Not that Oliver was in any way vein, but he had really got into this costume ball shindig. It was proving to be hella fun. The puzzlement on his face clearly showed he didn't have a clue what Trixie was going on about. “I dunno. A gold cheerleader?” He crinkled his nose. He hadn't a clue. Porridge, Three Bears! Oooh.. he had it!!! He was about to say when Trix just blurted it out. He smirked. So like Cam, Trixie had added a whole lot of tartiness to an innocent child's story. “I like it. You look good.” Like totally different to when she was in her wizarding robes.. |

Naw, Rhea did look very pretty tonight, and he knew that - somewhere in his previous comment - there was a compliment lurking about. "Yeah, yeah.. well, YOU can be the lake goddess." He went to slip his hands into his pockets, but then realized that he didn't have any pockets on his costume. Darn. "She's over getting some punch," he smiled, glancing over to see if he could see Ella through the throngs of people. No such luck. He turned back to her. "Where's yours?" |
teehee ^_^ Evelyn was rather excited that they were finally here. True, she took awhile to actually, show up, but they were there finally. Woooot! Keeping Josh close, her eyes were peeled for her other friends as well as they made their way to a table near the side. One without people sitting at it would be nice. Especially if it were people she didn't like. Aka, someone who would stare at Josh. Not acceptable! Having opted to go without the hat she was...not really planning on wearing anyways, the Slytherin ran a hand through her curly/wavy hair before looking back to Josh. He was definitely the best looking tonight, no doubt about that. So lucky that he was hers! |

Yes, he was. Except, the thought that he needed to find Evan and kick him was busying a part in his mind. So the Gryffindor looked around with the expectation that he might spot the Slytherin boy but he seemed to be nowhere at sight. Then when he realised that Evelyn was looking at him, he turned to face the girl and smiled his happiness could clearly be read from his sparkling dark eyes. ''Are you hungry, hun?'' What a question. |
Bit of Oliver and Trixie too. <33 Quote:
"Haha, yes. I figure it would be nice to take any aggression out on the bludgers - and maybe the opposition." Sarah grinned cheerfully and smoothed a fallen piece of hair back up into her carefully brushed barnet. "Oh you like muggle sports?" Sitting forward a bit in her seat, her ears perked up a bit more. Not that she wasn't paying attention before. "I love them too, muggle born see. My dad always took me to watch sports when I was little. Still does when I'm home." Ahhh yes, she was looking forward to doing that come the summer. Before trying to find a job. Hehe, she'd gone all in character. "You are most welcome," Sarah giggled, nodding her head in a graceful manner. "Yes, Queen it is," she grinned, looking down at her own HUGE costume and smoothing it out a bit. "Queen Victoria actually. The younger version, though, obviously." Because she really didn't fancy wearing more black to this event, and that seemed to be all the old version wore. Judging by the pictures she'd seen anyway. And as she wasn't currently mourning anyone, Sarah thought it best to go with the brighter look. Something caught her attention as she was talking to Melanie, making Sarah turn her head to the right. A vision of gold had appeared and was talking to....who the heck was that? Something about him seemed oddly familiar, and when he spoke to 'goldie' she figured out what it was. Of course. The lanky frame, weird curly hair under the hat - the voice. It was Oliver, dressed as...well she still didn't quite know what it was. But figuring it was best not to stare too much, Sarah waited until he was looking her way, and gave him a cheerful wave. Now, who was Goldie? Didn't help that the girl had her back to her. |
OMGGG, this is sooo late. Sorry! Quote:
"Ooh... You grew up in Italy? That's really coool!" Iris smiled at the boy. It was truuue! She only grew up in England. And the Yorkshire Dales are only really good for rolling down huge muddy hills and watching sheep. Which isn't that interesting. Sheep don't do that much. The prefect rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Me agreeing to that depends on how good your business skills are. I don't want a business manager that's no good with business, after all." Teehee. Cheeky griiiiiiin! "N'aww, thanks. You're pretty cool yourself." And completely mental. But all completely mental people are also cool, so it's all gooooooood. Bahaha. Ah. More questions. "I'm a fifth year... My friends? I dunno where half of them are. They'll probably be here soon... hopefully." Well, the one friend that she REALLY wanted to be here wasn't going to be, seeing as though he's sat on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Stupid Aaron, moving away from her. Iris looked towards all the people on the dance floor and shrugged indifferently. "How about you? What year are you in? And where are your friends?" |
And for Sarah tooooo <33 Pfft...Awful post, sorry Katie *snuggles* Quote:
"Its a shame I don't have a camera on me in case that DOES happen" she laughed and snorted. That was an opportunity to capture on film. She followed his eyeline down to her heels. She'd walked the castle in them, to get fresh air earlier and they were 5 inches, they bloomin hurt. "Thank you kind Sir" the Slytherin bowed her head and sat down, maintaining a straight face. But it wasn't long before she burst out into laughter. That did not sound normal for her. "Yeah I think we should stop the act" she grinned. Cause Trix could never be serious around Oliver, it just didn't happen. "So you decided to find the tightest pair possible?" she asked an eyebrow raised. Once again not that she was complaining at all. *Eyebrows* :eyebrows: Still not telling him that. She blinked a few times to stop her mind wandering off. "You really love this dressing up stuff don't you?" she asked. "I was surprised you didn't come as a jedi or whatever the name of those people you like are" the sixteen year old rambled on. Star Wars right? He was obsessed with those films wasn't he? A gold cheerleader? WHAT?! "Does it LOOK like i'm a cheerleader?" she asked gesturing her arms at her dress. Nothing LIKE a cheerleader. The existence of a teddy was another big clue as well. She couldn't resist but to roll her eyes but she had revealed it now anyway. "Thank you. You look great too" she said truthfully. Even if he did look like a pirate prince. "Is your face caked in make up?" she asked realising that the light was literally shinning off of his face. The Slytherin was just about to say something when she dropped the teddy on the floor. Not wanting to get it dirty, she bent down to pick it up. But it was then that she spotted someone familiar out the corner of her eye. Was that...? "SARAH!!!" the sixth year grinned over at the Head Girl. |
Quote:
The Slytherin stared for a moment, wondering if she was supposed to be in character or something. Vikings were always hungry right? And their table manners were less then unbearable… but, well she didn’t need to act like one. "Yea, I’m a bit hungry." She said, though the sudden noises coming from across the room had her head spinning towards it. Meep, what was happening by the food table? "Or, maybe not." Whatever it was, she didn’t want to be in the middle of it. "Are…you hungry?" They could probably slip in undetected and slip back out before anyone knew either of them were there. Really, what was up over there? |
Ladies and gentlemen. The man; the legend. Aaron Anderson. Quote:
Looooong breath out. Gone aaaaall term. Missed aaaall the lessons. Missed the whole flippin tournament and his parents send him back from America in April.... Yeah... good one, mom. Hey, at least you're back. Yeah, that's true. Wait, what??? Oh man, you're back??? You didn't think I'd be gone forever, did ya? Honestly, no. Right... Now go get your girl. Some Italian dude is talkin' with her. Right. On it. Hey, at least his parents chose a good time to send him back. A party? Heck yes. End of term ball? More like a 'welcome back, Aaron,' ball. The kid was back. And he was ready to take charge. Full confidence he entered the hall and didn't even bother to look at his surroundings. Iris Beaumont was in his sights, and he was walking right towards her. Her back was to him and honestly, he had no idea what he was going to say. He had been thinking about this moment for hours, days, weeks, and he didn't even THINK about what to say.... This was a surprise. Soon enough he was in arm's reach. And only one thing came Aaron Anderson's mind; "Hey, stranger." |
taking you and your table cloth back to the Foodies lololol! Quote:
"'Scuse me sorry I gotta borrow this." the lad rattled off, yanking the tablecloth sharply. Miraculously the dinnerware stayed in place, except for those tiny vials toppling to their side. "Sorry 'bout that" he blurted out, only then regarding who occupied the table. "Grayson!" the Slytherin lad uttered in surprise. "Nice costume." he added quickly as he saw her attire, then shifted his eyes between her and the vials on the bare table . No he's not making the connection, but he grabs her hand anyway, dragging her towards the Food Table "Grayson we need help, Kurumi there--" he pointed to the giant girl creating a small flood by the Food tables with her tears "-- she's uh... a giant. No not a real Giant but she just started growing!" he exclaimed staring up at the little giant girl. "Do you know any reducing charm that can work on her?" In his head, Grayson has to know the answer, because she's a 'Claw, and 'Claws know everything right? |
Quote:
Was she hungry or not? Josh could not figure out from her answers since a moment she said yes and at the other moment she said no. Girls were hard to understand. Now how should he know what she was planning to do? Eh? So not knowing what to do or say the boy just stared at her for a moment or so. ''Umm...no. I'm not.'' It was weird yet he was not feeling hungry. He did not want to eat. All he wanted to do was to stare at the girl he loved all night long regardless that he understood her or not. So he was oblivious to whatever was happening at the food table as he stared at her beauty in the viking costume. ''I did not know viking girls could be that beautiful'' he said with a kind smile forgetting about the other topic ''I wonder...can they also dance?'' |
