Leaving the food table with a plate loaded with pudding and several slices of pie (because if she was going to have fun at this thing, she was eating dessert first), Vashti searched for an empty place to sit. Or hopefully a place where one of her friends were sitting. She hadn't been all that social for awhile, but even when she was upset and worried as she was, she hated being alone all the time. She needed someone to talk to, about anything if not her problems. Heck, at this point, she'd probably be willing to talk to anyone if it meant she didn't have to be alone.

So when she spotted someone covered from head-to-foot in gold sitting alone at a table, she started gravitating to that table - until she realized who it was and then a smile actually broke across her face.

"Trixie!" the third year exclaimed, quickening her pace to reach the table faster. This was a mistake, however, because one of her feet caught the hem of her long dress, causing her to trip and lose her hold on her plate, which sailed through the air...heading straight for Goldilocks!Trixie.

Goldilocks!Trixie looked up as a voice started talking towards her. Howeer just before she could answer, something, or rather someONE had distracted her and her eyes and attention was drawn towards them instead. Little did she know what was coming next.

Pudding..

EVERYWHERE.

The Blonde flailed as a whole tray of food was sent flying her direction straight into her lap. Nuuuu not her pretty costume. The gold was consumed by, yucky mess really. Her eyes glared as she looked up to see who it was. Someone who knew her obviously due to the fact her name was called out. "Vashti" she almost growled but her mouth curled up into a smile. She hadn't seen her favourite Ravenclaw in ages and even if she had covered her in mess she was extremely happy to see her. "Did you just look where you were going or did you run over here?" she asked, slightly irritated yet smiling. "My dress is all ruined" she sighed.

*Pouty face*

"I have dress you can borrow you are my cousin atfer all"if you don't mind it has skulls on it i know its not your type but i can make a dress real quick in the common room.

That wasn't supposed to happen. Merlin, the one time Vashti tries to be social in several weeks, she dumps food on the other person. Brilliant.

"I'm so sorry, Trixie!" she exclaimed as she reached the girl, using one hand to raise the skirt of her dress slightly so she could move without tripping on the hem again, while using the other to draw her wand. "Blame my Aunt Grace for making this thing so long." Even though Vashti liked it, as it was from one of her favorite movie series. (Her parents even said she looked a lot like the girl that played Lucy.) She just shouldn't run in it, obviously.

"I can fix this!" Maybe. Vashti sure hoped she could. Trixie's outfit looked really expensive, something Vashti would never in a million years be able to afford if she had to buy Trixie a new one.

Pointing her wand at the big blob of pudding in the older girl's lap, Vashti concentrated, prayed this would work, and said, "Tergeo." Fortunately, it seemed to work, at least at first. Most of the pudding was being siphoned off...but there was still quite a stain. Oh Merlin.

"Um...c'mon, we'll find some way to get that off," she said, racking her brain to think of something, anything that would instantly get that stain out. She wasn't coming up with anything, though... She glanced at the girl that had offered Trixie a dress to wear. Skulls? Well, that was up to Trixie if she wanted to accept or not, though Vashti would still feel horrible about ruining Trixie's costume.

Uhh... yerrr... So here she was, in a room filled with people, enjoying the ball, and delighted about this evening. She straightened out her dark, blue dress and sat down at the Seating Area. This was even more awkward than expected. She hoped someone would talk to her, just so she wouldn't seem so alone.

Trixie couldn't help but giggle at the Ravenclaws frantic reaction. True she HAD just dumped pudding on her but she was one of her best friends, she really and truly didn't mind. "Vashti it's fine. Its just a shame that its not porridge" she joked, laughing at herself. Get it? Goldilocks and the three bears. The three pudding bowls, one too hot, one cold and one just right.

Hehe *Snigger*

"Its a very nice dress" she complimented her. Though Trixie had gone for the, shorter option, her heels making her look even taller then she was. "And you look incredibly cute in it" she grinned down at Spatulaclaw. N'aww she had missed her. The Slytherin hugged her, making sure not to spill anymore pudding, to prove she wasn't angry at all.

The sixteen year old crossed her fingers in anticipation as Vashti claimed she could fix it. "Well if your sure" she smiled and waited to see what happened. Which wasn't a lot apparently. The majority of the food had finished but there was a horrid big stain in the middle of the pretty gold material.

Standing up, Trixie bit her lip. "You think we should go... rub some of this off then?" she asked. That was how Muggles did it right? They applied a wet...thing... on it and rubbed until it came off. Well it was worth a try anyway. Cause she didn't want to ruin THIS dress at all. Goldilocks was a PERFECT character for her, being all blonde and a little ditzy and what not. Maybe they could even get the house elves to do it, they should have, what was it called, the stuff that removed stains... Err....Stain remover. Yes that was it, and surely with a name like that it WOULD indeed work.

Trixie smiled at the younger girl as she offered her a dress. She was a lot taller than her though, and a few years older anyway, so it wouldn't fit most likely, even if she was only slender. "No it's fine thank you. Skulls really aren't my style" she looked down at her own golden outfit. It cost a lot and she spent HOURS picking it out. "I'll just have to go see what I can do with this one" she smiled sheepishly. "Thank you for the offer though" she finished. And with that the girl tugged on Vashti's arm and took her away.

"Its okay i'm 5'5 i'm still growing so it want be that much time till i'm 5'6 she smiled.she ate her food will there a party going in gaint tree house hosted to me.

Evan waited for her reply with a stupid growing nervousness. Did he just crossed the line? Maybe she didn't think they were that close friends or something? Or maybe she couldn't bury their past filled with hate? He was relieved when she grinned. It was quite unbelievable that he was asking her out in a friendly way. If someone told him that such a thing would happen two years before, he'd have laughed very hard. But now, he was really asking her out, and she was... accepting it! At that he grinned back with a liiiiittle amount of redness on his cheeks, and then looked away. That was nice, knowing nothing bad was between them now. And she was actually such a sweet girl. How they ended up almost enemies he didn't know, but he was glad that they were good now. Such a 180 degree turn. Hehe.

Following her gaze, the Scouse saw the... Hufflepuff prefect, right?, in a rather sparkling costume. He smiled to himself. His costume looked pretty bad among the fairies, but he wasn't up to being a Greek god or something. Elves were cool and interesting enough... shrugging, he returned to Iris with an obvious uncertainty. Peeking at her, he finally got up and went over her once more, offering his hand to say "So, shall we dance?" It wasn't the most romantic thing so say, but they were only friends anyway. So it was casual enough, right? Right.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but the seventh year Head Boy was already feeling rather uncomfortable, as well as like a giant pillock, in his choice of costume. Fidgeting profusely, he made his way into the seating area to wait for his date.

Oliver wasn't usually so awkward.. in fact, he excreted confidence from every pore.. but being here alone, wearing MAKE-UP was kinda embarrassing for a seventeen year old lad.

He hovered beside the seats trying to decide whether to sit or stand and in the end remained standing (What sort of highwayman sat? Sitting was for ponces, man). He placed hands on his hips, head tilted upwards and posed for a moment.. but stopped when he realised no one was watching.. heh.

He leaned against the wall, hoping the redhead would hurry up and get her butt here.

"Yeah, just don't get hurt," she said, smiling. Selena did feel a bit sorry for Paris, but even more for Diggy when his sister took revenge. She had a feeling it wasn't going to be pretty. "The poolhouse?" she laughed, "Wow, maybe you should keep it under a closer eyes," Selena said. Dragons were quite nasty sometimes but it was a thrill riding them. Absolutely amazing. "Really? That's cool, and sounds like a lot of fun!" she exclaimed, she couldn't wait till she was allowed to apparate. She was pretty sure it beat portkeys any day.

She shook her head. "Nothing, it's all fine and dandy," Selena lied with a bright smile. She stuffed her mouth with a piece of the pie, just so she didn't say anything stupid.

The sound of her heels clicking and clacking through out the area caused Daisy's mind to kind of vanish into the abyss. She sat down at one of the tables and stared of into the magnificent space. Sighing she placed her cheek on her hand.

Cameron felt like a giant red flashing neon bulb saying 'lookit meeee!'. Tugging nervously at the sides of her dress/shortenoughtobeateeshirt outfit, she tried to think of what in all hallow's name had inspired the teacher's to proclaim this a costume ball. A COSTUME ball.

... Strangely enough, it seemed like half the girls here had just dressed up as Cinderella - all wearing really fancy, pretty ballgowns. The Gryffindor Prefect's costume was an extension of a nickname such as her laziness. She hadn't been bothered to pick something creative nor something that didn't clash so ostentatiously with her hair.

She stumbled slightly as she entered the hall and knocked over a tall figure that looked a lot like Captain Jack Sparrow. She muttered an apology, readjusting the strap on her heels. This was so totally not her area of expertise. She would fall on her behind and wallow in the public humiliation in these shoes. She wanted her vans and her tracky dacks and some chocolate. Not a night of dancing and spectator embarassment.

People were dressed up pretty weird.. like this Pirate kid.

"Nice costume.." He looked sort of familiar.. She walked back towards him curiously. He had REALLY familiar eyes. Like.. that green was REALLY familiar. Who had eyes like that..? "Do I know you?" She asked, reaching up a hand to poke him in the cheek. He looked like a wax figure.. there was SO much makeup..

Tori giggled and was grateful that the makeup of a Geisha hid her rose red cheeks from Joe. "We could go to the dance floor."

Lori was booooored. And that was all she could feel about the matter. She had no Adam here, and people had DATES! Like people Lori had been intending to go and sit with all night! Silly dated people.

With a little handful of glitter already sat in her palm, she sighed and threw it up in the air above her. Might as well enjoy the glitter. But nothing said something bad, unless you sighed when you threw glitter! IT WAS DIABOLICAL! And diabolical hadn't actually yet made it into Lori's vocabulary, so it was just terrible.

Oh. Someone wanted her, and it wasn't a male asking the pretty prefect to daaaaaance! Let down.

"Wesleeeeeeyyyyy!!!" The Prefect grinned, giving the younger girl a squiiiish with one arm. "Your costume is lovely." Yep. Yep. NOW she wasn't bored.

So despite the trowelled on make-up and the curls and ribbons and shizz in his hair, Oliver still managed to look kinda imposing dressed all in black and towering over most of the kids here. He reached up and rubbed at the white stripe which ran across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose --it felt so waxy on his skin-- but luckily it was stage make-up and would probably take turpentine to get rid of it, so there was no chance of it being rubbed off.

Fidget, fidget.

Stumble.

“Ouch!”

The seventeen year old was too busy fidgeting to see Little Red Riding hood approaching, but he certainly felt it when he poked himself in the eye when she fell into him. He flinched and blinked back the stinging and moisture and focused on the girl with bright red hair... dressed all in red. Woah... talk about wanting to stand out in a crowd. How unusually uncharacteristic of her. Heh! She looked mega hawt though.

He had to repress his trademark amused smirk when it appeared Cameron didn't recognise him and proceeded to prod his cheek. Who did that to someone they didn't know? Hehe! She was such an endearing character in her lack of social etiquette. He had to resist the temptation to give her a squeeze and kiss her in that moment. He lowered his voice and suppressed the slight Scottish lilt to his accent. “My lady. My apologies. Are you alright?" He spoke in the most quintessential English accent, all the while struggling to keep a straight face. “I don't think so.” He replied to her question. “But I wouldn't mind getting to know such a.. foxy young lady as you.” He took her hand... and kissed it, his eyes on hers the whole time.

How could she not know it was him? Like, seriously.

It had to be her. Just had to be. Taking a deep breath Carson moved slowly over to Daisy and placed his hand on her shoulder. "My Lady, your beauty is infamous as ever." He begged his parents to let him return. She was always on his mind and now here he was. At the end of the year but here none the less. Hopefully he wasn't too late.

Jumping up Daisy turned and said, "What are you doing here?" She had no time for childish games. She shook her head, "You know what don't even answer that." She began to walk away the angry clacking of her heels on the floor. "You shouldn't have come back Carson. You're only setting yourself up for failure and heartbreak."

"Back away form my cousin girlfreind".Are you trying to break them up its not going to happend while i'm around.Now go get a another girl to crush on.

"I'm here because I missed you," Carson said jumping up after Daisy. He followed her and said, "What do you mean? Are you dating? That's okay. I'll prove myself to you. I love you. I even faught with my parents to come back here."

Before her could get out another word someone else had stepped in front of him and told him to back away. "Look I bet your cousin is a great guy but this is where I stand and no one, not even you, will get in my way. I will have Daisy. I loved her first and always will." He pushed his way around her and kept going after Daisy.

"Joey it's okay just go. I have this under control. No one is going to break me and Rex up." Daisy smiled and turned back to Carson. She didn't want Rex getting involved in this one. It was going to be messy.

Daisy kept storming away her voice raising on every stressed syllable. "Missed me! Missed me! Carson you never owled me back. Never wanted to see me again. And here you are telling me you missed me." She turned and glared at him. "Yes I'm dating. actually I'm happily engaged to a man I'll never leave. I love Rex so much and no one and nothing can change that." she kept storming away again. "Anyway you'll never have me again. Ever."

"I'll go but if you need anything i'm here.i'm throwing a baby shower this weekend for my mom will you be there.

"Oh yes i am shes my family you better leave her alone don't make me get my fiance".Now back away and moved on.There pently of girls in your house that want you i bet.

"Look it's one of your bussiness. I dated her before your cousin even considered her. I bet you anything she's just a rebound." Carson sneered at the girl. "How about you go get your cousin and tell him I'd like a word."


"Engaged!" Carson really had been gone to long. "Well it won't last. Not with me around. I love you Daisy and I can be so much better for you." He turned her around and smirked. "I'll make you eat thoes words. I'll have you. Just you wait and see." He took her hand and said, "I love you Daisy Rohdes." As he looked at her empty finger he laughed. "He ahsn't even put a ring on you finger. How can you be certain he'll never leave you?"

Daisy nodded, "I'l be fine thanks Joey." She smiled and said, "I wouldn't miss it for the world. No go ahead and go."


"The wedding plans are already being worked on. We're getting married and no it's not going to fall apart." Daisy felt him pull her hand and mention the words no ring. "Well I don't need a ring to prove he loves me." She also heard the words his said to Joey. "Look don't talk my my cousin like that Yes my cousin. I'm marring Rex and she will be my cousin. And I am not a rebound. Now just go Carson. You've made a fool of yourself."

"Okay i'm going but if you need help i have a spell that will do just the trick she smiled.Well Johnny and i will be at the food table.I got into a food fight and scarey lafey came and stop johnny and i.

Daisy shook her head, "It's okay Joey. I got this. He's nothing. I've been through worse." She linked arms with Joey and said, "Lets go somewhere more peaceful."
