[] Name the runes you used, and explain why you chose them, to protect your tent. Six inches of parchment.


OOC: Six inches = two paragraphs minimum, three maximum. One paragraph must be at least four lines long. If you did not participate in the lesson, you can either pretend that your character was present in the class; or write about the runes your character would have used had [s]he been there.

This assignment is worth eight individual house points [extra credit possible for outstanding or insightful homework] and is due by Sept. 26, 3 PM GMT.

[] Summer and a heating spell can both raise the temperature. This is an instance of same final change through different methods. Give another such example. [1 point]

[] Jera is the rune of gentle change, and Dagaz that of bold change. List two scenes or changes that represent the former, and two that represent the latter. [4 points]

[] Give the basic meanings of, and the gemstones linked to, Jera and Dagaz. [2 points]

[] Bonus question: Draw a picture of something related to either Jera or Dagaz. This can be anything - a gemstone, a god or goddess, or a scene. If it is a personal interpretation of either of the runes, give a brief explanation [one or two sentences] why you think it relates to the rune you have chosen. [3 points]


OOC: It is not mandatory to attempts all the questions. You can draw the picture by hand, or use a software. Just remember, creativity and effort count the most.

If attempted completely, this assignment is worth ten individual house points [extra credit possible for outstanding or insightful homework] and is due by Nov 1, 3 PM GMT.

[] Create a Quileute rune. Describe it by giving its name, colour, purpose, the light it radiates and/or whatever special properties it has. Eight sentences, minimum. [4 points]

[] Draw a picture of the a) the rune you have created OR b) any one of the Quileute runes. [4 points]
