Evelyn couldn't help but have her thoughts turn to Patroclus every now and then. Hmm, he seemed rather good in this subject. How come she hadn't noticed before? Or the fact that he was in here. Smiling over at him, she looked back forward only to have a small bag on her desk catch her attention. Dagaz and Jera runes. Frowning, she reached for the bag, almost not noticing the walls that began to rise up from the ground until they were about as high as her desk. WHAT?! Standing up in a sudden, bag in hand and her wand being pulled out with the other, Evelyn frowned when the walls became too high for her to see anyone. Seriously? Was this like...make the students as frustrated as possible year? This was the millionth maze they have done. She liked the first Ancient Runes class better even though the tent she helped make look like a toddler made it. Hearing the instructions and warning about the whomping willow, Evelyn SCOWLED and grabbed her bag, placing it over her head and on her shoulder like a sling. Whomping willow... Pfft! Mazes... PFFFT! Now to just, look for a door. Or something. So, turning around, the Slytherin STOMPED her way towards the left of the maze, nooot in a good mood. At all. Pssh. Mazes. |
Willow? What? Patroclus was not at all pleased to hear the mention of the Whoomping Willow, as walls began to rise out of the ground. It seems Maze's are rather in, this year! Patroclus thought to himself as he listened to the words of Professor Markovic. Getting out of his seat, and collecting his notes and put on his bag. With his Runes in his hand Patroclus was ready to fight the Willow! Bring it On! |
A practical part of the lesson? In Ancient Runes? Sweet Merlin. They weren't going to build a canoe to go with their tents, were they? Destiny sure hoped not. Their tent was HORRIBLE and imagine what their canoe would look like! Surely the thing would just sink as soon as they placed it on the water. But they weren't near water, so why would they make a canoe? Silly thoughts. Taking the bag of ruuuunes off her desk, she was just about to start rooting through them when WALLS started to sprout from the ground. She wanted to tell Evelyn to DUCK AND COVER, but as she looked over in her friend's directions, she was no longer seen. Eeeeep! She was all alone. Just her, her bag of runes and two cookies. Standing up, she snickered to herself before tossing one of the cookies over the wall where she thought Evelyn was at. Now off to find a door. |
Salander Post 2 Salander has gone a few paces from the corner he turned right from. He was now at the end of that path, having to decide to turn right or left. He chose LEFT. A few more paces brought him to a dead end. "Nutz, I thought this was a corner" he mumbled. He looked back down the corridor to the other path (the RIGHT path) and from where he stood it also looked like a dead end. Staying where he was, his hands started to grope the walls for anything that could throw a trick switch, or anything that can show a DOOR. |
Scowl. Stomp. Huff. Oww! Her hand immediately went up to her head as she spun around to see who had the nerve to hit her. Huh? Her eyes widened when she saw that there really was no one there. Frowning, the Slytherin took a hesitant step back towards the way she was going, not noticing the cookie on the ground, before spinning around and walking quickly down the maze. Left. Right. Right. Right... Eh? She was lost. Oh so very lost. |
Cass clutched her pouch filled with rune stones tightly as she looked around her. All she could see was walls, walls, and more walls... Oh great, Professor Di said that they would have to find a way out of here, so she walked down the tunnels, keeping a look out for any sign of a door, or any passage way that she can go through. |
Wait what just Happened?!?! Brittany had been sitting happily listening to the professor teaching her lesson when the walls came out of now where *Gasps*. She hadnt the feeling of entrapment. She probably would hyperventilate and faint if she ddint get outt there quickly enough. Huffing, Puffing, Huffing, Puffing, was all you could hear from the 1st year huffie. Okay Get a Grip Brittany. You can do this. She had to do this... right??? She nervously started walking foward until she reach a right and a left turn. Oh know she would have to make a decision on which way to go. Noooooo this was to much pressure. What if she chose wrong? What if she didnt make it out alive? She was losing it again so she took a few moments to get some much needed air to her brain. Okay Im a righty." she said looking at her right hand. "I'll just go with that." She began walking right and after about a full minute she ran into a door. Wow that was weird!!. So what did she have to doto open it? |
Willie got even more excited as she told him about the stores that sold those gemstones. He could easily thieve a store. Not a problem. He'd done it a hundred times before. The professor even made the planning process much easier since she allowed him to take the replica. Pfft. And they said professors didn't effect their bad habits. He decided to stay quiet for the rest of the class, and also take the cookie out of him bum as soon as he remembered it. Once the cookie was out, Willie eyed it for a few moments, contemplating if he should eat it or not. He decided otherwise. With nothing to do, Willie thought of sleeping off the class. That did not work as thin walls began to rise from the ground. He didn't react at first, staring nonchalantly at the walls around him. He heard the professor talk to them, telling them that they needed to use their runes to get out of this thing. Willie grabbed the bag, picked it up, shook it beside his ear and then nodded his head as he placed it back where it belonged. "Jus' get meself outta 'ere, hu? Pshaw." The Hufflepuff stood up, grabbed the bag of runes and began to walk slowly ahead in search of one of the doors. |

Swiiiinnngggg. Branches came down, but not in a harmful manner. The door that popped up behind them had a keyhole that peeped out through their midst, this keyhole being the same shape as the runes in the rune bags the students had been provided - each rune in the bag could fit into it and serve as a key. The following words appeared on the floor... My gemstone can be a golden-green. Jera or Dagaz? Take your pick. The Whomping Willow doesn't like to waaaaiiiiiiitttt! Quote:

Josh had been almost sleeping in this class too, not really caring about gemstones or any other information about them. Okay they looked beautiful but Josh did not know what to do with them, he did not even touch them. Only eyeing the stones he remained uninterested in the topic till he realised that his surroundings started to change. Huh? What was happening? ... ... ... And after a minute he was unable to see anyone and worse he was unable to see Evelyn. Where was she? Oor where ever she was Josh was sure that she could deal with this maze thing well. So it was the time that he had started and maybe he could find her in the maze. Grabbing the little bag of runes resting on his desk, he started to proceed in search of something like a door. |
Evan was taking his notes in the class as much happy as he could with now that some heating was around them and he wasn't shivering that much when they were distributed some runes. Alright. Grabbing them, he looked at his notes and realised he hadn't finished one, when all pf a sudden, just like it happened in arithmancy and charms, walls rose from nowhere to enclose them to loneliness. No, not again! Throwing his pen kind of angrily, he got up, packing his stuff with grunting to himself. He half listened to the professor. What difference did her instructions make, they were still stuck in a maze near a WHOMPING willow. Grabbing his stuff and his runes, his notebook in his other hand, he got off to his left. He'd run all the way from tunes class to dormitories and then here for a maze? Not nice at all. |

*WHOMP* One huge branch crashed down, right in front of the kid. It rose, rose, rose back into the air and disappeared out of sight. |

Not even bothering to pick up his stuff which fell when the huge branch tried to murder him, he just sat there, leaning on the wall behind him as he watched the clock ticking by. |
Post 1 SPOILER!!: proffie luff Kurumi blinked several times and looked around. She was most definitely alone now and she had no idea what the Whomping Willow was. Or did she? Maybe Heather had mentioned it to her. Shaking these unrelated thought out of her head, Kurumi began slowly walking forward as her violet eyes dashed in all directions. Was this going to be like Arthimancy with numbers popping out at her? She was still having nightmares about 2's and 7's forcing her to dance with them. *shiver* Holding her bag of Jera and Dagaz runes close to her chest, she proceeded forward humming softly to herself. |
Oh it's on, Willow. Quote:
Probably not the best example. Suddenly, out of no where, a branch crashed right in front of him. "Yaaah!" Willie exclaimed, jumping back so the branch wouldn't hit him. "Oiii, ye big oaf! Whassa' all about, 'eh?!" He asked angrily, shaking his fist at it. "Guud thin' I'm in a guud mood, or you woulda been burnin' into ashes! Yeah, you 'eard me! Now I'mma just keep on goin'. If ye for one second dare ter 'it me, I'll so 'elp me Merlins, I'll burn ye!" Big talk, Willie. Big talk. |
Wooow what was going on with the Whomping Willow now? It seemed to want the odd Puff out of this class. Tory held the bag closely to herself and started looking for a door. |
Wait! Where were the walls coming from?! What was going on? AHHH Help!Fee loved runes but this was somewhat scary.Okay Go Fee. You can get trough this. She unsurely started walking foward until she got to a point she had to decide where to go. AHH! Okay.... she took a deep breath and turned to the right. there was someone else. "Britt", Fee called waving at her and ranning up to the door Britt was standing in front of. A door?! What?! |
Lila was not thrilled about this task but she decided to make the best of it. She figured the best way to start was heading south away from the whomping willow. Hopefully she would find a door. She had done enough thinking for the moment so she grabbed the runes and set out to the south. |
1st Emmaleigh watched as the walls of the maze started to rise. it was Totally Awesome! She still couldn't get over the fact that magic was amazing (hehe). She crammed her stuff into her messenger bag, and then picked up the bag full of runes. "Alright, Time to get out of here." she said with a grin. err, but did she just say something about the whomping willow? *gulp* maybe this wouldn't be too life threatening. Em headed straight ahead, and when she came to a fork, she turned Left. "Lets see where this leads." |
Freya took the bag full of Jera and Dagaz runes on her desk. She hold the bag tightly. She saw thin wall began to rise out the ground. "Great. Wall" she mumbled. She decided to go right. She walked carefully so she won't be hit by the Whomping Willow. That was the last thing she want. She looked around to find a door. "Door..Where are you??Come out..Come out..Where ever you are..!!" she said in a sing a sing tone. She keep walking and walking until she saw a DOOR. She walked toward the door a little bit faster. |

What the Heck!? Patroclus threw himself against the wall behind him, as the branches of the Whomping Willow came down from out of nowhere! "What the?!?" he spluttered as he drew his wand, starring at the branches. However he was surprised to see a door appear once the branches withdrew, and shocked even more to see words appear on the floor I like natural daylight. Hmmmmm.....Patroclus pondered for a moment before he decided upon his answer, dipping his hands into his pouch, he withdrew the Dagaz rune, and slotted it into the key hole of the door Cross fingers! |
Daisy took notes and before she knew it walls were comming up around her. She wanted to curl into a corner and cry. "What is this the term of MAZES!?" She grabbed the bag of Runes and began to search of a door. If.... NO when she got out of her she was going to go and find some chocolate to destress the stressful situation. |

And the next moment he saw what the moving thing was or were: a few branches were motioning revealing him the sight of a door. Yay! A door! Putting his wand back in its holster, he happily approached the door but stopped immediately when he saw some words appear on the floor. He did not want to step on the words, did he? Otherwise he would never be able to read the clue. Hmmm Hmmm Oak tree? Did they mention that in the class? He could not remember. Nevertheless he had to try his chance. There was a 50% possibility after all. So grabbing a Jera rune from the little bag, he tried to open the door with it. |
Quote:
Jera or Dagaz? "Well I think Dagaz is D like the letter it starts with. So Jera would be the Y," he mused taking the Jera rune and placing it in the key hole. The boy standing back for whatever reaction awaited. |
Nessa hated mazes but this was class so she got a move on. turning right and taking a few lefts she could her the others screaming and getting mad at the maze, but that wasnt going to help them. She was going to stay calm and relax. She took on last right and was in front of an orangish colored door she stood int front of it for a minute and then reached for the handle to see if it was unlocked. It wasnt of course "alohomora" nothing. |
