Tents? Tents. Tents!

With a rush of excitement, Ivory made her way over to the provided essentials for this lesson. It wasn't something to toot her horn aloud about but she was pretty good at arts and crafts if she did say so herself and she'd pitched a tent with Arya that one time last last summer when they'd taken the horses out and camped out in the starry night so although she wasn't quite sure she could do it alone, she understood the mechanisms of it.

Grabbing a heap load of stuff and paint, she carried it a little ways away while she sorted through things. Hopefully her best friend or even a new friend would join her.

A Tent Here at Hogwarts??? She looked to see if the professor was joking but apparently she wasnt as she noted the spare change of shoes for people to use. Luckily for Brittany she wore some nice sensible shoes because they were required in her earlier DADA class.

Hands on her hips she looked around for a sensible spot to camp. This must have been her lucky day because she grew up in the muggle world and she knew all about camping. She wondered if they were allowed to use wands to help set up tent but it really didnt matter because she was oly a first yer and she didnt know that many spells. So what was she to do about Funiture???. Well at least she had the pillow thingy

She then remembered The professor said there were materials that they could use if the needed them But what where they. She'd find that out later. She need to set up the tent first. She usually had her dad hepling her with this task but she knew enough to get her by. he rolled up her sleves and went and got the tent supplies and went to work

What a strange assignment Em thought. Emmaleigh hurried over to her friend, and asked "need any help? I know a little bit about camping."

Oh thank goodness somebody she knew finally spotted her."Oh yes we can actually finish this faster if we both help." Brittany said sighing in relief " First thing we have to do is set up the poles. I think." Brittany said scratching her head trying to remember. It had been a couple of years since she been but if she wa wrong maybe em knew what to do

Em nodded. "Yeah, that should be the first step, and then wen have to run the poles through the little pockets on the tent." Em said, as she helped her friend put the tent up. She extended all of the poles, and inserted them into the tent. "Does that look right?" she turned and asked Brit

Brittany turned her head sideways as if that would make her get a better look. She at least felt like it had made it look better so she just didnt think about it. "Its great." Brittany said with a smile."You know once we get up the tent we should make it a hufflepuff tent. And we could put something on it like huffie firsties or something in that nature." Brittany said excited. The professor did say to have fin and design it how they saw fit

Rae was at the water's edge with everyone else with her shoes off and wearing the only pair of jeans she had and a shirt that was new because of her recent and only shopping expedition. Set up camp? Like a fort? SWEET! She got up and went over to Fletcher. Normally she would've chosen Evelyn and Destiny but she felt like being around Fletcher. Rae took him by the elbow without even asking if he would like to be partners with her. She started to drag him over to where the supplies were. "Fletcher! We gotta build the most awesome fort EVER!" Looking over at the supplies, what could they do to make it the best?

Em placed the stakes in the ground, and looked at the tent. Yeah, they got it up! hmm, she said looking at the tent. "I know how to make it yellow!" She said, pulling out her wand with her right hand. She would use the incantation the Headmaster had taught in their DADA class "Pingo Yellow." she said. and watched as yellow bubbles popped on the tent, dying it yellow. "Wana help?" she asked with a smile.

So wait, what? They had to build a tent? Sofa?!

Oh this was so worse then the time they had to build rafts in History of Magic last term. She knew how to build a raft now though, but she didn't know how to build a tent. Or a sofa for that matter.

Sighing, she stood up and looked around at everything, having NO CLUE where to start. Did she need to do anything anyways? Couldn't she convince a firstie to do it all? It had the be the best though. So, really, she needed to do this herself.

*double sigh*

tugging his tent close to britt and Em he lays it out setting the guide lines with enough slack so the tent can stand Hey guys look like we going to be neighbors

Lily frowned. Tents? They were... settign up tents? This was different, for sure. She'd never thought that tents could coincide with Runes lessons. It wasin ODD. Shrugging, she made her way over and grabbed a pile of stuff, walking back 'til she found an empty space. Laying all the stuff out, she picked up the poles and began to assemble them.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Destiny had absolutely no idea how to build a tent! What was a tent anyway?

Okay, so she did know what a tent was..it was those things HOBOS lived in. HMPH. That only made her think about her little confrontation with Arya over the summer. Was was that Huffie anyway? Destiny wanted to have some words with her.

Oh well. She'd find that Huffie later, when she least expects it.

"Hey Evelyn!" she called, standing from her cushion and making her way over to her friend, "Do you know how to make a tent?"

Destiny doubted it.

Yup, Evelyn was still standing there. Hands on her hips and staring down at all the materials.

"No." she muttered, leaning her head back to look up at the sky and closing her eyes as a small frustrated sigh passed her lips. "Don't we like...stick the poll things in the ground?"

Was that how they did it? She didn't study camping in her muggle book. They had things on jobs, flying machines, and something about ice cream.

Di eyed Professor Hadley. The emphasis on the 'what' was understandable but, well, should Josephina be here in heels? Merlin knew Di did not want her to fall into the lake.

"Teaching," she answered, politely. "Perhaps you would like to help us set up camp too, Professor Hadley."

Aha! So there was a boy wearing high heels, here! Di turned around, looking rather disapproving at the thought, and realized that she had been mistaken. No heels, on this boy.

But the kid... had taken his cushion along. Di was permitted to find that odd, right?

The comment might not have been directed at her, but Di thought it best to provide the Prefect with an answer. "Indeed, Prefect Caddock," the Runes professor said, as she sat down by the edge of the lake and dipped her feet into the water.

Tra la la la la. Di looked back, at the students. Which house would be the first to pitch up a tent? There was that former-Eagle part of Di that hoped Ravenclaw.

"Magic is good, class. Use your wands if needed."

Of course, if they poked someone in the eye with one, Di would not be pleased.

Brittany laughed at Mikes statement. "Its look like your right Mikey. But you better make sure you want to do that because our tent is going to look awesome and we dont wat you to feel bad." she said jokingly

Enya had wanted to pitch her tent Near Michael's but it seemed he was busy, and she didn't want to be too clingy considering he hadn't even asked her out yet. She began pitching her tent alone and she created a couch and a squashy beanbag chair and kicked off her shoes.

looking at the two tents and then back at his well if you want to get fancy i guess you can do that going back in to his tentI think I will set up the pool over here making splashing sounds he comes back out and grins at all three of them

Where were her crew members from last terms raft building? Surely one of them would know how to build a camp! Besides Destiny and Evelyn, since they had no idea.

"Riiiight." she drawled, when Evelyn mentioned sticking poles into the ground. How many poles were they going to need? What were they supposed to do if it RAINED? A pole wasn't going to help them stay dry. "I think we need a blanket. You know, to stick on the poles." She made a little jabbing motion, to show Evelyn what she meant.

moving to the side of his tend he makes draws a giant yelllow sun using pingo yello ,then he makes a river using pingo blue giving 2 loud whistles he waits a cpl of min for his owl to appear

Katie set up her tent next to Enya and Near Michael's "Hey guys" she said with a smile.

hey katie as he goes to the outher side of the tent Britt can you help me do an owl and a deer on this side please?

Brittany heard her name mentioned. "Sure i can.. well to the best of my abilities.' she said not sure how to start. "What do you want me to do first?" She didnt mind helping Mike on his tent. her and em had each other and mike was here friend so it was only right that she extend her help.

Set up camp? Pitch a tent?

Roxxy was in deep water. She had never in her life camped or put up a tent. Her parents didn't like camping they had said it was a total waste of time. But Professor Markovic said that that was what they were supposed to do. Help!!! Sitting on her cushion Roxxy let her gaze wander over the other students. Her eyes stopped on a brunette who seemed to be in the know of how to build a tent. Maybe she could join her?

Grabbing some tidbits of essentials and of course paint Roxxy walked over to the other girl. Carrying the stuff in her arms she asked "Hey, would you mind if i joined you? I don't know anything about pitching a tent." It was the honest truth. Roxxy didn't know where to begin.

You know kind of like the tee-pee's that stylemoving the yellow paint on the outher side to make sun rays coming out of the big yellow blob

There was no way he would build a tent in his own. And no way to share a tent with someone, neither. Yeah, he needed to work with someone. No, he didn't. He could do the task on his own.

But first off, why do they need a tent? He thought they were in Runes class. Hmm. Pretty unpredictable. He didn't expect the Runes class to be this... good? And the new professor to be this... gorgeous. And of that there was no uncertainty.

And he still needed a partner. It'd be a little lonely to stay in his would-be tent alone.

"Quick question, professor. Would you like to share a tent with me? Once I'm done building one, yes." Don't worry he doesn't bite.
