The edge of the lake looks... different. There are things heaped here. Davina, wand tucked behind her ear, turns round the moment she has arrived, to see if the class is following.
"Sit down, sit down," she says. "Your cushions are charmed so that they won't get dirty, though I don't expect you're going to need them for long. Take off your shoes, if you want to. I hope no one - girl or boy - is wearing heels? That can make things difficult."
Patroclus as he sat in his comfy, and beautifully looking tent, couldn't hlpe but laugh and smile as he watched Destiny and Evelyn, wrestle and final set up, a pretty good attempt at a tent.
He fluffed some extra pillows just in case, then turned his attention to the Professor.
"Jera is associated with the completion of a year, it represents teh cyclical patners of nature like the harvest of a field, only to be re-sown and re-harvested. I see it as sort of a symbol for the perpetual movement of life, like the sun rising and setting, then rising again." Patroclus had spent sometime on his break studying his runesets.
To him they felt like connections to the past, like relics of an acient world.

Having sat down slightly away from everyone else though still close enough to the fire so she could stay warm. Plus, since it was fire too, she was distracted by it for most of the game they were playing. What in the world!? They were playing a game!?
Pffft! "Jera, is also represented by the Earth element symbol." she said, just randomly putting that out there. A more general way of saying harvest she supposed. Hehe. Now, time to be warm by the fire again!
Lucy was all very excited to be there any help them out with their tent as she had already finished her own. "I'll help with the paint" she said and took some red paint bucket and began painting and then looked at her friends to ask what other color would look good for the tent "Is red ok, or should i use some other color too?" she asked them.
"Time to pitch and decorate the tents is up," Di called out cheerfully, gaze on the student picking up a paint bucket. "You should join us round the campfire, Miss..." Mmhhmm, name?

"Hagalaz is...well one of it's meaning is 'hail'." she said, glancing around at everyone else to see who was really there. hehe, fire is distracting her! She couldn't concentrate what with that huge thing in front of her. Just LOOK at it! FIRE! WOOOOOOT!

Freya raised her hand "Hagalaz or Haglaz is The Rune of Disruption.It represents hail and it’s portent may be likened to an unexpected hailstorm, an elemental disruption of your life. Hagalaz can also mean suffering, hardship, illness, or injury." she said.
"The rune hagalaz stands for a major shift of energies. It is the rune of objective confrontation and it represents power beyond human abilities in general", Fee said.
She started to like that subject.
Hagalaz can also be seen to represtent shelter usually relating to hailstorms, Patroclus smiled, the very way it is written can be seen to show this, a roof between to wall, he pointed out, drawing the rune in the air as he went.
Arms full of everything she noticed that her best friend didn't have, she unceremoniously dropped it all on the ground with a grin. "This is just like when we went camping!" Minus the horses and her family, so not as fun as then, but still awesome cause they were at Hogwarts. Pulling out the polls for the tent, she began to piece them together. Yes, she knew she could use magic, but there were some things that were much more fun doing the muggle way, and camping was one of them.
"Do we wanna makeshift sofa or sleep under the stars?" Where they really gonna sleep outside, that would be awesome. Arya grinned at the girl who was already asking Ivy to join in on the tent pitching.
"I know," Ivory admitted smiling. "That's just what I was thinking." She had quite a many fond memories of that summer...especially the starry nights.
NOdding affirmatively, Ivory agreed with the second more obviously appreciated option. "Sofas...pfft. Camping is made for sleeping under the stars!"

Arranging all the seperate things on their appointed little spot, Ivory turned at the sound of a female voice nearby.Smiling, she nodded.
"Of course not. The more the merrier." Wiping her hands on her jeans, she held one out and shook her new friend's hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Ivory. Ivy for short and this is Arya."
Getting the introductions out the way, now it was time to pitch their tent. Unsurprisingly, with three pairs of hands they were able to make quick work of it. 3 heads after all were better than one.
Sitting down out side their almost finished product, pondering on paint she grinned at a nearby famliar person.
Waving over at the nearby Sabel and his very competant shelter Ivory giggled as she watched her best friend approach him...or more to the point the tree next to him. That was Arya alright.

And as they brought a tarp over to shelter their tent, she stood up gratefully. "Hey that's a great idea, thanks Sabel." And she didn't mind the idea of a Hufflepuff flag one bit. "Yellow's bright color and it'd be like a beacon of friendliness."
Smiling, she turned back to the tent making last minute adjustments even as she sang softly along to Sabel's previous tune. "Badger, badger, badger, muuuushroooom....."

Smiling at their finished product, Ivory tilted her head at the sound of the Professor's voice. A game?! Smores?!
She was totally all for it.Taking a seat near Roxxy, her bestie and Sabel, she made quick work of putting together a few S'mores. Eating the first one , she gave a little moan of happiness at the taste. "Oh my gosh these things are soo good."
But then her mind was on other things...like Hagalaz and its meaning. Which was on the tip of her tongue along with some marshmellow...which was so tasty...but nevermind that. Must concentrate...Hagalaz..what was it.
Something about the weather?

Tap, tap, tap. The points changed once again. "Ravenclaw still in the lead, though it looks like the Slytherins are warming up."
Di took a moment to bring a marshmallow closer to the fire. Mmmhhm. Melted chocolate. Placing her free hand in the small runes-bag at her side, she lifted out another rune and held it up. "Who can tell me something about this rune? Extra points if someone can beat Mr. Carmicheal to it!"

However due to it's watery origins it can also represent the unknown as in many origin myths, Water is seen as the chaos from which humanity sprang."
The boy could have actaully gone for a glass of water at that moment, he was quite thirty
