Distraction! Hehe. Well. The start of one anyway. He had SUCH good instincts for these things. "Why would you apologise for...you know what, actually you can make it up to me...." He grinned and then he brushed a strand of her hair out of her face. Jimmy leaned forward the little distance between them and caught her lips up with his. He lingered longer than she had, for sure. |

Putting her arm around his neck (the one that wasn't holding his hand) she ran her fingers through his hair again as she kissed him back. This time she was in no hurry to pull away from him. |

Before he got too distracted. "We'll figure out what we're gonna wear and then.... I'll see you at the dance." He winked at her. "And then you can... apologise some more." |

Haha. "Yeah, I did!" that was, like, part two of lesson one. 'Standing up after falling'. The part one had been 'Standing up'. But, either way, he was standing, and he knew not to push too hard while on the wooden floor. His eyes were on Arya, though, seeing what she was doing and listening to what she had to say. Treyen, then, remembered something one of his cousins had told him when learning to skateboard. Just let go. And he was not getting anywhere if he didn't do so. He was keeping off the ramps for now, though. But he breathed in and out before making the first...glide forward. Hehe. This was sort of, like, fun! Skating. In any form. He'd have to try skiing for sure! "I'm doing it! Look!" not as graceful as Arya, but he was sort of skating. Ha! Take that skates! He was letting himself go more and more by the moment, and gliding on the wooden surface was certainly easier because you didn't have to make any sort of effort, unlike the carpet. Time to test the brakes. And...he stopped. Smirk. Treyen 5, Skates 2. |

"I've spent too long looking after myself to just let other people do it for me." Esme murmured, looking him in the eye. She swallowed again. "Eben, what exactly do you want from me? What do you expect from this?" |
Quote:
'What do you expect from this?' "Well I was thinking that uhm..." Eben paused losing his eyelock with Esme and looking down in his lap. She made him incredibly nervous, which was making this whole decision making bit hard. "...well I was wondering if you'd possibly like to be my girlfriend?" A monogamous relationship. This could be interesting. |
Quote:
Esme considered what he'd asked of her, tilting her head to one side and staring at him intently. "I'm a cow, you know that don't you? I'm not easy to be around." She was trying to put him off, he made her nervous and she was very scared of him hurting her. At the same time, she wanted to be near him, talk to him, listen to him and even, perhaps, kiss him. She bit her lip and looked away. "It's up to you, if you think you can get over loathing me." |
Quote:
"Right, what we're gonna wear." She had been so lost in the kiss at the time that she momentarily forgot about the dance. "Oh I plan on there being a LOT of apologizing going on." She said smiling at him. She then |

He actually chuckled when Esme announced that she was not easy to be around her. "Don't you think I have the experience with that already?" the boy asked, arching his brow in curiosity to the girl before him. "I was over loathing you this afternoon in Hogsmeade, Esme." Eben announced in a quiet tone as if it surprised himself. "I know we're skipping the whole friendship stage, but I like you a lot." |
Quote:
*innocent* Of course it was entirely likely he'd also think about someone else but he'd do his absolute best not to. He did find himself wondering if Neptune had liked the present he'd anonymously left her for her birthday. He hadn't seen her wearing it yet and he wondered if she'd figure out it was from him. Probably not. Neptune tended to just take anything that she got as her due without thinking too much about the where or the why. Well whatever. Whatever. His grin, which had faded a little with his thoughts, did brighten again, almost to a dazzling degree and certainly veeeeerry smug when Marie kissed him again. "I probably won't ever forgive you." He told her. Not if it meant he got a whole lot more apologies. "Right... then." He stood up reluctantly. |
Quote:
"Oh no, never forgive me, what shall I do?" she asked smirking at him just a little. She knew exactly what she was going to do. She would kiss him at every opportunity she got and secretly hope he really never did forgive her. Standing up when he did she stood in front of him and wrapped her arms around his waist. She then stood on her toes and kissed him again. "Forgive me yet?" |
Quote:
"Keep on apologising?" He suggested. Yep. Because each 'apology' was also a reason to 'apologise'. James was quite pleased with himself really. She was a fair bit shorter than him, But Jimmy liked that. Or actually, he wasn't fussed either way as long as he got snogging out of it. Which he clearly was. So. Score. He leaned down and kissed her back. "Naw. Not yet. Maybe later." Jimmy winked and then stepped back from her, slowly letting her go. "So... see you later, Marie." Heehee. He winked and then he was gone. |
Text Cut: My Lovely When he said that he wanted them to be together, she stared at him, her eyes boring into his to try and work out if he was trying to make a fool of her. "Really?" She asked him quietly. Eben's question caused her lips to twitched in amusement. They had certainly experienced some rather tense moments already. "You haven't seen anything yet honey." Esme told him, arching her own eyebrow in response to his. Esme found it difficult to believe him when he said he was over loathing her, that he liked her. The rational part of her mind was being drowned in her insecurities. She was tempted to ask him if he had recently banged his head but she just murmured "I like you too," and blushed furiously. |
Quote:
Now normally, Eben hated it when Esme called him honey because he had taken it in a demeaning way, but when she said it this time, it actually made him smile. He reached out to hold her hand, matching his massive paw of a hand to her dainty one. His smile grew wider when he saw Esme blushing and admitted that she liked him. "Well I'm glad of that, or this would be more awkward than it already is." the boy pointed out and then leaned down to kiss her forehead tentatively. |

He was skating!! And not falling. So awesome. Brown eyes twinkling, she followed Treyen as he glided across the wooden surface. Keeping close by, but now leisurely skating around the rink as well, with more skill and grace than her friend obviously. "I know! Your doing great, Treyen!" Her excitement grew as he neared the wall.....well, ramp and stopped. Without her teaching him how to do so. Awesome! She speed up, skating a big circle around him with a grin spread across her face. "Excellent stop!" No falling or slamming into walls. Practically a pro at stopping. Heh. "Think you can do a few turns now?" Was he up for that challenge? |
Text Cut: My Lovely Esme was left stricken, utterly confused by the battle going on inside her head. She liked Eben, she liked him a lot but he was a boy and she was usually of the opinion that they could not be trusted. When he took her hand, Esme slid her fingers in between his, her heart racing. Perhaps this could work... She thought optimistically. When Eben kissed her, Esme closed her eyes and let out a shaky sigh. "Umm, Eben? C-could we take t-things slowly please?" Her voice sounded so small and unfamiliar. "I just... I need time. I-is that okay?" |
Quote:
Hearing him say he didn't forgive her yet she tried *Pout* "Yeah, see you later." Hopefully sooner than later though. Once he was gone she turned and looked at the room one more time so she could remember everything about it. She was already plotting on ways to get Jimmy to come back here with her. Smiling she left the room herself. She needed to send an owl to her mum asking her to get her certain things to wear to the Ball. Finally she had a reason to be happy again. |
Quote:
He nodded firmly and stepped away a little, still holding onto her hand to let her know that everything was okay. He wasn't going to hurt her like the boy in France did. Eben was mean, but he wasn't overly cruel, and never wanted to hurt Esme. "Yes, that is fine Es." he said with a firm nod of his head and smiled kindly down at her. |
Text Cut: My Lovely Esme was still nervous, she felt like she was risking a lot by even considering trusting Eben. He was a boy and boys were not to be trusted after all. When Eben said that he would give her time and smiled at her, Esme gave a shaky sigh and tried to smile. A small voice in her head was telling her that she was crazy but she tried to ignore it. "So... what now?" she asked him, hoping that he knew because she had no idea. |
Quote:
'So...what now?' "We can sit and talk or I can bring you down to your common room." the boy suggested, hoping that she would choose the first option. |
Text Cut: My Lovely In all truth, Esme wanted to go and hide, but the Room of Requirement was as good a place as any to hide. Taking a deep breath, she said "Staying here sounds good to me." in a very quiet tone. She stared at her hands, wondering how long it would take for him to hurt her. |
Quote:
He reached for one of her hand, offering her the option to take his so that he could walk her over to the cushy couches not too far away from them. There they could talk about anything they pleased and completely turn away from the apparent awkwardness between the two. Or at least try. |
Text Cut: <3 Esme looked up and took Eben's hand, standing up and entwining her fingers with his. "Shall we sit over there, together?" she asked, wondering if he had intended that to begin with. Esme was trying to swallow her nerves. She knew that this time, she had her father, she had Frida, she had back up. She wouldn't be up against the wall on her own this time, she was sure of it. She squeezed his hand and looked up into his eyes. Trusting him would be difficult and she just hoped it would work. |

Either way, there was a smile on his face, and his eyes went up to Arya when she commented. Awesome! He was doing great! Perhaps he was doing better than Arya expected him to. Hey, now she was circling around, "Show off!" he said, and chuckled, she was showing off, but it was in good fun, "Kidding, of course" he shrugged, it was better to clarify, just in case she left them on one of those ramps or something... ...and now...turns? Yeah, he can venture into it, at least he sort of turned right when coming off the carpet, though..."Yeah, I'm a quick learner, see?" he could even venture into high speeds with the ramps...who cares if he fell by the time the ramp seized to exist? Well, he didn't. Arya probably did. |
Quote:
And at the rate he was going, he would be able to skate circle around her in no time. He was a quick learner. Its cause he was a Hufflepuff. Quick learners they were. Of course she was worried about him when he ventured for the ramps. It was her job to worry about her friends. But he was a badger, and a fearless one at that. So she wasn't too worried about him. Just a bit. "Be careful," she cautioned, venturing on one of the other ramps since she didn't have to worry too much about Treyen. |
