Esme didn't want to comment about how Eben's parents had brought him up, it seemed rude. With some people, they could bad mouth their family all they liked but you joining in is a really bad idea. "You n-never hated me?" Oh Merlin, that was a shock and she couldn't hide it. "Honestly? Not even when I was calling you names and trying to hex bits off you?" She arched one eyebrow, not sure if she should believe him or not. She had certainly hated him... hadn't she? |

He cut through the rest of the flirting as soon as he noticed she was scooting right up close to him. "You know, its entirely possible I was considering asking you to that costume party thing. Possibly. And I don't usually... do the official date thing. Kind of prefer to leave my options open and all." He shrugged casually and then, since she was right there, he slid his arm around her. And if she said no... well he had plenty of options. |
Quote:
He smiled softly, "It's a comfort to know that I don't have to worry about making up both of our minds when it comes to doing things. You can decide for yourself and not rely on me." |
Quote:
Did he just... ask her to be his date for the costume ball? "Really? You want me to be your date? As in an official date?" she asked looking at him while trying not to smile too much, you know so he wouldn't think she was too eager to say YES. "Well it is entirely possible that I would say yes if you decided to really ask me." Oh who was she kidding. Of course she would say yes. Feeling him put his arm around her she instinctively put her arms around him and gave him a hug. Hehe, now he was stuck. Stuck in between her and her arms. She did tell him she had something he could get stuck in between. Yeah, a clean hug was much better than a rotten food hug, and he smelled good too. |
SPOILER!!: <3333 Mmmkay, enough with this discussion of putting one's self down. It was pretty stupid anyway, so Aiden just let it gooo. "Why, thank you," Aiden said with a smile and a curt nod of approval. Although he still didn't see how he was so extraordinarily nice; he figured he was just as pleasant as the next person. But he was happy that she thought him to be such a nice guy. He did laugh, however, when she declared that he was 'the nice one' and she 'the mean one.' "Oh, is that so?" His laughter died down to a mere smile and he cocked his head to the side. "So, you're Sid and I'm.. Nancy." Hahhh. Mmmkay, he knew that might go right over her head too, but surely Ella was used to suffering his countless muggle references by now. In fact, to answer her next question... "Well, my mum's a muggle, and I live with her, so.." He shrugged." That's why," he smiled. How lucky he was - he got the best of both worlds. The whole Coo-coo for Ellakins thing made him think of Coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs, which made him think of cereal, which made him hungry for cereal. Gahhhh. But of course right hurr was much better; his stomach could wait. "What, what? You and I agreeing on something? Hah, mark this down on the calendar!" When their millionth kiss of the day ended, Aiden pulled back, thinking for a moment before answering her question. "I don't remember.." Heh. He must've gotten too caught up in the moment to remember why he kissed her in the first place. That wasn't unusual. "Because it's Make-Out Monday," he corrected, throwing that out there off the top of his head. But if she'd believe him, at least it'd make Mondays a lot less dreadful. "Maybe I should just steal some of your brain to make up for my tiny one?" He grinned and shifted his position a bit. Psssht. Ella was taking that as a compliment? She would. Oh well, he deserved it. No sense in crying over spilled milk, eh? Gaspar was so shifty. Snatching up his girlfriend, well... then ex-girlfriend, right under his nose and then shimmying away to Timbuktu. "I suppose we'll have to leave it a mystery." |

Yup, it was probably the best idea that has come up this year...asking his owl if a nickname would be more enjoyable than his name. But back to the Dugbog, "I think he'll like it better if he was free...I could always give it back, not that I took it, you know...but if he did got away from Saylen then that must mean something, don't you think?" if the Dugbog was trying to get away from the Professor then there was something there, right? And the Dugbog was looking for freedom, no? Though, right now he wasn't entirely free, but he seemed rather happy. It was such an amusing name. Smore. Purple, huh? Wicked! It may even match Treyen's purple/blue stripes scarf, or the purple part of it, anyway. "Yeah, you have to" he got along fiiiine with pygmy puffs. Like that Mr. Marbles that belonged to Emalyn. What ever happened to her? Mmmm, anyway... The boy nodded. Yup, nothing too serious. And now back to the lesson. So, walking had been easy, now he needed to gliiiiiiiiiiiide on the carpet. Haha, he must look rather stupid, which made everything even more fun. Except he didn't, he looked awesome, because his skates looked pretty cool. Though, Arya's were also pretty, but his were...well, ones that belonged better to a boy. "Okay, sort of like this.." he said, the right arm stretching towards the wall, just in case, and the skates didn't even lift an inch from the floor, because he was bending his knees and trying to glide as much as the carpet allowed him to. Good, he was still standing, even if it wasn't the easiest thing to accomplish...perhaps having skateboarded before helped him a bit? Treyen 3, Skates 0. |
Oliver Rhea remembered the procedures, walk past and think about what you want the room for. Well she was meeting Oliver here and she needed it for a meeting. A meeting to discuss a seventh year going away party. She walked passed the wall back and fourth a few times until the door appeared, and thankfully so, she was beginning to feel a bit silly walking back and fourth like that. She pulled the door open and walked inside then smirked. There were plushies and a round table here and there, ink wells and quills and parchments. Some tables contained butterbeers and snacks, fruits and what not, while the others had the stationaries. She plopped down on a plushies and grabbed an apple from the table and began nibbling on it while she waited for snake boy to turn up. |

He panted, trying to get his breath back, clutching a stitch in his side as he squinted down the corridor. Where the flarp was the place!? Urgh. He leaned against the wall and took in his surroundings.. but then it dawned on him slowly that he was in fact leaning against a door. A door that hadn't been there moments ago... Weird. He turned to face it, and turned the handle, pushing open the large door to reveal a room equipped with everything he and Rhea needed for their task. And woe and behold.. there was the very girl he was looking for. He grinned at her. “Well isn't this cosy.” He commented, a hint of his sarcastic flat humour to his tone. He walked into the centre of the room, the door closing with a crash behind him. He eyed a butterbeer rather shiftily before opting for a fruit juice. He had no desire to become hyper twitchy boy in front of Ms Rhea Bellaire. He plopped down on one of the plushes. “You're way too organised, you know that?” He smirked at the Huffie girl. If they were doing things his way, it would be just to turn up at this shindig and hope for the best. heh. |
Quote:
Her eyebrows raised as he commented on her organisational skills. What? He was such a boy. There was no such thing as being too organised, Things would hardly go wrong then."There is no such thing as being too organized. The party HAS to be good. Especially since I'll be associated with it." She got up and grabbed herself a bowl of grapes, which she began to plop into her mouth one at a time. |

She would defiantly make sure that Treyen would meet Smore. The two would get along well. Smore got along with everyone as did all of her pets. Arya didn't do too much skating at first as she watched Treyen, wanting to make sure that her friend got a handle of skating on the carpet. A lopsided grin crossed her face as she watched him. It was like watching a baby take their first steps.....just with wheels. Only when she was sure that he wouldn't fall did she put even more distance between them and let herself do a little skating, eyes never leaving the boy. "Your doing great," She encouraged him with a little nod. He was doing great. No falling and all gliding. "You can lift your skates a little when you push your back leg." She demonstrated as she spoke, making sure the boy could see her adding a little kick with her back foot. |
Quote:
"Well, yes, either way..." he didn't want to discuss Saylen right now, perhaps it will make him trip or something, "...I think the best is to do either one of those two things, I should hurry up and decide soon, before the year is over" because if he was to set loose the Dugbog then it had to be a habitat worthy of the creature, it's not like he was dropping the stick wherever. Okay. Skating on the carpet. Treyen was 100% positive that Arya's next words would be related to the REAL side of skating, and instead she told him to keep on skating in the carpet? That wasn't so great, you know, considering he thought he was doing extraordinary with the skates right now. At least Arya was having fun, and so was he, sort of. Learning new things was fun to him. Eyes on Arya, he smiled, "And when do we start the real thing?" he said, as he watched her "skate" a bit. But he did what he was told to do. He was a good student. ;) And...no falling...yet. Perfect! Treyen 4 (?), Skates 0. |

It was possible that Arya was hesitant to have Treyen on the wooden floor to skate. Too worried that he would seriously injure himself when stepping onto the floor. Too cautious she was about her friend's safety. She gave all her caution to her friends, and yet she saved none for herself. He would get any better if he stayed on the carpet though, and he obviously wanted to move on to the actual skate floor. As was she, carpet skating was boring. Treyen was doing a good job on the carpet... "Only if your ready..." Her voice trailed as she skated through the opening in the wall, giving him a demonstration of how to transition from the carpet to wood. She stopped only a few feet away from the opening before turning and stopping to face him with an expectant look. Of course he would follow her, and she wanted to be near if he needed a hand. |
Quote:
Arya seemed lost in thought, as if thinking IF Treyen could be ready or not to go to the next level. But really, this wasn't as hard as he thought it was going to be, and the black skates looked pretty neat, too. Those were cool. 'Only if you're ready..'. That was the phrase he needed to hear. And with one single nod, and gliding on the carpet, the boy ventured into the wooden world of skates. Oooooh. It was so much different than the carpet! So much different that the gliding was easier, which made him go faster and then BAM! He was on the floor before he knew it. And laughing, real hard. Treyen 4, Skates 1. |
Quote:
...Or not so good. Cringing slightly when he fell, her first instinct was to make sure that he was fine. But that feeling was suppressed when he started laughing. Really hard. Contagious it was as she found herself laughing with him. Pushing off with her back skate, she skillfully slid onto her knees and beside her friend that was grounded. "I take it your okay?" |
Post #4 Setting up the three spiders he’d collected so far around the room of requirement, JD dives down behind a couch. Those spiders were the enemy and he was to find them and defeat them. Pulling his wand out, he scoots on his stomach out from behind the couch, crawling on his stomach across the expanse that was the floor. He was hungry and needed some food from his bag he’d left by the table. When suddenly a spider stood right in front of him! ”ARGHHHHHH!” he shrieks drawing an eight in the air, and jabbing it at the spider in front of him “Arania Exumai!". Watching as the spider hit the wall behind the table, he smiles grabbing his bag and pulling out a sandwich. Munching on the sandwich, he curls up under the table watching for any other of the enemy. Polishing off the sandwich, he starts crawling out from behind it when he spots a spider on the arm of the couch. Drawing the eight again he jabs his wand toward the spider “Arania Exumai!" He was determined to get all the enemy spiders, and defeat them. Two down…one left to go, his eyes searching the room he finds he is all alone. Relaxing he sinks behind the couch once again. Leaning his head against the back of the couch, he looks up. His eyes widening, he falls backwards on the floor drawing an eight in the air and jabbing it up at the spider “Arania Exumai!" he watches as it bounces off the ceiling and lands on the couch he was behind. Dropping his head back on the floor he sighs happily. He’d got all the enemy spiders defeated. |

He just couldn't stop laughing, "I..." and now he was stopping, "I...thought..." haha, enough! "I thought I wasn't going to fall, you know, but this is no carpet, clearly" and it was far more slippery than anything else. Treyen brought himself to a seating position and chuckled, "I didn't think it would be that slippery, but I know what to expect now" which mean, yes, that he was still going to skate, because the only thing that had gotten slightly hurt was his back, and it wasn't really hurt. Just Ouch-worthy. The boy shook his head and with one hand he reached for the wall, because it was easier to stand up with that hand stuck to the wall and the brakes in the skates. Only that it didn't work and he fell again. "Wait, I can do this" he said, because he knew that Arya will be more than willing to help him up, but he wanted to do it for himself. And he managed, after two failed attempts. Haha! Treyen 4, Skates 2. |

"Yeah you, and yeah.... official." His lip curved up into a cheeky half smile and then there was hugging. This was a good thing. Not quite up there with snogging, but well on the way. Of course, he was totally being a gentleman. Jimmy Wilkes was good like that. He shifted a little and whispered in her ear, hugging her back. "Wanna go to the costume ball thing as my official date?" |
Quote:
"No, its much different than carpet." She agreed with a few giggles of her own, grin plastered on her face. Maybe she should have warned him that it would be slippery. She had just assumed that he would know the wood floors would be different than the carpet. No more of that though. She would be sue to warn him about the ramps. "Good, just stick to the floor though. Stay away from those for now." She nodded to all the ramps peppered across the floor so he would know what she meant. Skating on solid ground and transfiring to a ramp was a totally different sensation, and the fall would hurt worse depending on how he fell. Best to stick to the floor for now. Arya was going to help him up, but could tell that he wanted to do this on his own. Instead she got to her own feet, much quicker than he did, and watched amused as he attempted to rise. "You did it!" She exclaimed, now for the actual movement. "Its just like on the carpet with the whole gliding thing. Just.....its much easier, so you don't have to push so hard, and once you start you won't stop on your own like with the carpet." All while she spoke, she skated around showing him how it was done. Was he watching. She peered at him with another expectant look, he could start whenever he was ready. |

It was official, Marie felt like her heart was going to beat out of her chest when Jimmy hugged her back and whispered in her ear. He really did want her to be his date. "Yes, I want to be your official date." she whispered back. She continued holding onto him as she rested her head on his shoulder. Life was finally good for her again. Now, what was she going to wear on this date? |
Quote:
Because Neptune had? She so had. James didn't say anything about that though. THIS wasn't about THAT. Neptune didn't matter right now, Marie did. "You might change your mind when you get to know me a little better." He answered with a half shrug. And well, this was a start to that whole getting to know thing. ... snogging would happen soon yeah? "So, we have to wear costumes I guess." He ventured. |
Quote:
"Yeah, I would assume we have to wear costumes since it's a costume ball." she said smiling up at him. "So, got any ideas what you're going to wear?" She had absolutely no clue what she was going to wear. Up until a few minutes ago she had not been planning on even going to the ball. Now not only was she going, but she was going as someone's date. This was turning out to be a great day. |

"Nah... I dunno. Maybe like... a fifties greaser or something? I've got a pretty epic leather jacket and obviously my hair is awesome, so it'd be easy enough to slick it and style it. Unless you had something in mind?" He didn't mind some input. Costumes weren't all that important in the grand scheme of things. "It might be kind of awesome to go with costumes that tie together you know? There are way more epic costumes if its part of an ensemble you know?" |
Quote:
"Hmm, the fifties could work." She said as she pictured him looking all rugged and hot wearing leather. "Yeah, you do have rather awesome hair," she said as she absentmindedly ran her fingers through his hair while gazing into his eyes. She then realized what she had done and started to pull away. What if he didn't like anyone touching his hair? She didn't want to get him mad at her already. "Um, no, I didn't have anything in mind." Since she hadn't been planning on going. "We could both just dress in costumes from the fifties, just as long as I don't have to wear pink." Hmm, what did she have that could pass for something like that? Nothing, which meant... SHOPPING! |
Quote:
Fifties stuff would be pretty cool. 1950s that was, not 2050s. Pfffft. Who cared what people wore 20 years ago? 120? That was far more interesting. Muggle style too. Jimmy liked the feel of her fingers in his hair to the point where he was almost purring internally. He met her eyes and then when she tried to pull away a bit he caught her hand up and didn't let it go. He just held it casually. "You can wear whatever colour you want, I reckon you'd look good in anything." He told her with his crooked grin in place. |
Quote:
Looking at his very cute crooked grin she couldn't stop herself. Leaning in towards him her lips gently brushed against his before she pulled back. "Sorry, I couldn't resist any longer." She said hoping he wouldn't think she was too forward and if he did, well it was totally worth it. |
