Hugo felt weird as he walked over to the table. All of his friends he made were from Gryffindor, and the Ravenclaw table wasn't very full. He didn't see any first-years. Nervously he sat down and looked at his plate. He didn't know anybody... |

Kellen gestured to the two of them, "Take us. If I'd suddenly declared right away that I liked you, the first time we met, that would open up a whole ocean of awkward between us. You probably wouldn't even want to be friends with a creep like that. Right?" Quote:

Eyes wide, Ivory watched the Durmstrang students, face in hand, as they flipped and careened their way through the Entrance Hall and into the Great Hall. Saying she was impressed would be to put it mildly. Sure Arya and she goofed off in moments with gymnastics for fun, but nothing even near to how coordinated these students were. Seeing the grand sparkling finale had her chin slipping from her hand, and said hand dropping down to slightly come in contact with the person next to her. "Oooh sorry!" Smiling apologetically to the older girl, she inclined her head to the foreigners."Got to say, against my better judgement I'm impressed..." Shaking her head ruefully, she turned and held out a small hand. " Grayson right?" Ivory had spent most of the previous term reading and not even in the common room so it wasn't a shocker that she didn't know most of the people in her own house very well. But hopefully, she'd be able to change that this year. The goal of the term: To be more interactive. So....better to fall head first, right. "Hi, I'm Ivory,Ivy for short, nice to meet you...officially that is." She added with a little laugh. |
Damon sat down at the table. As usual he was really looking forward to the food that would be offered. He also noticed some visiting students that would be in for the term. maybe he should consider introducing himself and maybe soon to these visiting students. |

Noel, had finally discovered the ceiling. It was magnificant really! With his eyes flickering over to the banner once more that held that magestic eagle bird, he lowered his gaze to the table he had seated himself at. They seemed smart did they not? Except, perhaps maybe not that one girl, but who was he to judge? Clearing his throat, he gently let his wrists lean against table, keeping up a nice posture at the same time. The Great Hall was bigger than he expected...and he couldn't keep his gaze away from the ceiling. Now that he thought about it, the castle was huge! How far did he need to walk again to get to this Ravenclaw room? |

So with the air of taking a casual stroll on a sunny day, he wandered over to the Ravenclaw table and slipped onto the bench beside a rather good-looking CLEARLY new student. "Oh, I see the food hasn't arrived yet here either? Hmm," he mentioned casually, tapping his long fingers on the table. "What a shame." But at least he had a good-looking lil dessert to stare at right cherrrrr, booya. |

....Or maybe it could. She spotted the boy at the other table staring at her and another smirk graced her face. It appeared Hogvarts was full of hot guys. That would totally make up for the seven floors she would have to walk. "You are staying in Ravenclav as vell?" She inquired, turning her attention back to the Beauxbaton student. Sandra could always mess with the hottie at the other tabe later. Heh. Quote:
"Yes it is a shame." Not really, since it brought you over here. "I don't suppose you know when the food will arrive?" Giving the boy a charming smile she held out her hand. "I'm Aleksandra Miroslav. Vho might you be?" She wondered if this one was a Ravenclaw as well, cause if so she would never have to leave the common room. Where ever it was located. |

He trailed off into a light sigh but lightened up immediately as she introduced herself. "Aleksandrrrrrra, the pleasure is all mine." Fletcher dipped his head and kissed her hand with an exaggerated eyebrow wiggle. "You can call me Fletcher. Just Fletcher." What a gentleman, right? ;) |

Hearing that unfamiliar accent, Noel turned his attention to the pretty Durmstrang who, he had not realized he was sitting close to. The night sky ceiling had captivated his attention too much to the point of not introducing himself to anyone? How rude of him. Then again, this was the first person he spoke to. "So zat is what zey are called?" He had it right! Good. Smiling, he glanced to the other guy that joined their table, before looking back to the beauty. "Oui, I am. Alzough, I am afraid zat we are to walk razer far to get to ze room?" It was one thing to walk to a high floor a few times, but continuously? That was going to get tiring. |
Pearl sat down anxiously at table, biting her lip as she wasn't too familiar with anyone in her house. She let out a sigh and frowned, looking down at her purple gemstone necklace. She'd secretly hoped that someone would be hospitable and give her a gentle greeting. .... Hah. Not gonna happen anytime soon, she thought. Everyone knew each other here. They weren't the usual muggle-borns like her. |
Don't worry, Ivy's welcome (and greeting the guests as well) Quote:
But then she felt a hand connect, and at the sound of an apology, she turned to see a girl. A grin crept onto her face at the comment about the visiting students, though. "It's okay. I think we all got a little entranced, although I think the Durmstrang people put on more of a show, dontcha think?," she said with a bit of a shrug. But then she blinked as the girl said her name, and took the outstretched hand. "Yep . . .," she said slowly. It was like Raiden in Diagon Alley, like somehow she was more known than she thought, and once again she wondered if people talked about her and her escapades. She certainly hadn't been in the common room that much last term, beyond the awesome mattress surfing and sleeping. But she smiled again as the girl continued talking. "Nice to meet you too, Ivy. Not so sure about that officially thing. Makes me feel like people are trying to meet me." Weird. She liekd the idea of a reputation, but not so much the thought that people talked about her without her knowing. 'Wanna go over and meet the visiting students?," she added, standing up. She was gonna, at least. Work her way through all the boys crowding around the two at the Ravie table, at least. She knew she could, since she'd always been able to get through crowds with her size. She'd then miraculously heard her name, her eyes widening as she recognized the voice. It was her dear friend Rex! She turned around and smiled, seeing his back turned to her. He'd just missed her. How could he? Her hair DID stand out, didn't it? She laughed, smiling wide, wrapping her arms tightly around him from behind. "REXY OF GRYFFINDOR!" . |

Jenny sat down nervously, not knowing what to do...again. So many people here looked like they knew each other; even the people who were visiting Hogwarts seemed to get along with the students here quite well. She decided to randomly look at the conversations around her, since there was nothing else to do. |
doing my share to get your ravvie pages to grooooowwwww Having enjoyed a thoroughly satisfying meal and a somewhat average drink, Salander decided to take an after-meals walk and check out the rest of the Great Hall. He too was new around Hogwarts and was curious at what the other three tables-- three houses-- were all about. He decided to look for his young friend Daniel at the Ravenclaw table when instead he spotted some of the guests from Durmstrang and Beauxbaton-- as well as a certain Hufflepuff fellow who shared Salander's taste for good drinks. Well, if a Puff can just pop in on the Claws, I sure can slyther-in and make myself at home. Quote:

Smoothly, he slips into the seat next to the Durmstrang beauty on the other side of Fletcher. "Excuse me, I dont mean to interrupt...." he started "... but I couldnt help overhearing the that the meals have not come for the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs?" he said putting on the most concerned look he could muster "Theres a great selection over at our housetable, you're free to come sit with us, take as much as you wish." he smiled looking more at the Durmstrang brunette than the Hufflepuff. Who happens to be brunette too. Meh. "Oh where are my manners, my name is Salander by the way, from the house of Slytherin." he said nodding at the Durmstrang beauty and offering his hand. "And who may you be Miss?" Quote:

"Yes, it vould have been rather nice to have the food before the speech. It shouldn't be too long of a vait should it?" She was starting to get hungry; preforming all those flips did that to a young woman. This one was a true gentleman and to say that Sandra was a little impressed would be an understatement. Not only did the Hogwarts boys look good, but they had manners to match. Oh yes, she was impressed. "You may call me, Sandra." She replied sweetly when he kissed her hand. Only a privilege for those she liked, and this one she liked. "Just Fletcher? Did your parents only gave you one name?" Sandra knew not, and she looked at him expectantly, waiting for a full name. Quote:
"I'm sorry, I forgot my manners." So unlike her. Sandra held out her hand to him. "My name is Aleksandra Miroslav." Quote:
Quote:
"No thank you, I think I will stay at the table I'm at. I'm in no hurry to eat." Not to mention the company was good. Why would she leave her table when what she wanted most was coming to her? Shaking his hand, she gave the boy a smile. "Its nice to meet you, Salander. I am Aleksandra Miroslav." |
For Kristin Ravenclaw. That was blue right? Because Finlay was certainly hoping that it wasn't something like violet because that really wouldn't suit him at all. He did remember something though, something that Grayson had told him. She was in Ravenclaw, and that thought did bring a smile to his face. Mmm. Hello Blondie. Smirking, he wandered along the ravenclaw table until he found her, and oooh she was sitting with another rather nice girl. How fortuante for him. "Hey Grayson." He grinned, as he sat down beside her. |
Quote:
"Noel Laurent. Zank you for ze nice welcome." Really, the Hogwarts students were all rather welcoming from the looks of things. Taking a quick glance over to the other tables when he had a chance, everything seemed pretty normal. But, no time for looking for his classmates, this girl was standing! "Would you like a seat? I zink we can make some room here..." If, a few people just scooted over that is. Quote:
Quote:
Oh, goodness, he had not introduced himself like he previously told himself he would do. "Forgiven of course. Bonjour Aleksandra, and might I say, it iz a pleasure to meet you." Once again, he wasn't all that used to the whole hand shaking thing, but he held out his hand to take hers for a moment before letting go. "My name iz Noel Laurent." Quote:
Was he talking to him? "Oui, it iz." he nodded, tapping his fingers on the table. "Do you know when ze food will be here?" Did they carry it out on trays or something? |
Quote:
So she thought about waiting to see if the Beauxbatons boy would respond to her bizarre earlier introduction. Or just going back to her seat like a freak. Or looking for anyone to distract her from the awkwardness. Quote:

you lil interrupter you *glares* ;) Quote:
Fletcher was not amused. Quote:
Bazinga! He even tossed in a wink with that little speech. "Sandra. What a beautiful name." Fletcher could have been kicking himself just now. Sandra. Same name as Sadie. Brilliant. Wherever she was he sincerely hoped she didn't see him charming the socks off this lady. "No no, I have a first name.... it's just rather horrible, you see, to be named after your father and your father's father and his grandfather before him...." he trailed off and cleared his throat like it was a rather touchy subject. Which it was. "I'd just rather avoid it all together." And he would also rather avoid the interrupter right there. Fletcher had the urge to lean around Sandra and stick his tongue out at Salander. Haha REJECTED. |
