Practical Part of Lesson #1: The Baseball Field Upon stepping through the door, you are probably quite surprised (or not) to find yourself standing on a Baseball Field. Or a miniature version of it anyway. Even though, the ceiling looks like the actual sky outside it is only echanted to do so and is actually only a magically enhanced ceiling of which, say, a baseball would easily bounce off. |
Strolling out onto the field, Jeremy turned after a few steps to face the class and said, "Now, this is the reason why I asked you to wear flat shoes, preferably something close to sneakers, as it might be hard to walk or run here on the grass. For those of you who haven't done so-" Like, say Savannah Conrad. "-I brought some sneakers for you to change into." He gestured towards a pile of rather new looking shoes somewhere to his left. "As soon as you're ready, I'd need one of the Beater people from before to help me demonstrate aaaaaand-" There HAD been somebody who had volunteered to pitch before, only who? "- Kurumi, you said you can pitch, right?" He turned to grin at the girl who had made that lovely drawing and gave her a questioning look. It HAD been her, right? |
The teachers were COOOOOOOL! All the lessons had practical parts! Cameron traipsed after Professor Zooky and followed him to the pitch. Wait.. batt!? OOHHOOHH!! "Meeee!" Heh. Well.. she could hit it and she could hit it hard. That's all you needed right? Aim.. PFT. |
Patroclus followed the Professor into the next room, and was rather blown away by the fact that it was outside, but inside, then again it was magic. "Sir?" The boy smiled, "Shouldn't we not be using magic? Just saying......Can I be the Umpire?" The boy was probably trying his luck, but he was Zookara's favourite after all! Just to exhibit his perfection at the role, the boy bellowed, "Yoooooooou're Out!" Pointing his arm up to the sky! and in the small breath "Strike Te- Three!" Hehehe. |
Quote:
OK...breathe...just breathe... Patroclus comment about being the umpire made her smile and even giggle a little through her nerves. What if she hit Cam?! No, that would be terrible. She would make sure that she threw her best speed ball just the way her brothers had taught her. "Should I take a glove?" she asked pointing in the general direction of the box she assumed was filled with baseball supplies. She wondered if there was a little bag filled with chalk in there as well... |
Trixie so wanted to get her hands on that beaters bat but she KNEW Jeremy would most probably not allow it. Just judging by the "look" he had given her earlier in the lesson. he had Which meant she would be doing practically nothing. HMPH! The Slytherin pouted and just stood there with her arms folded across her chest as she waited for the lesson to continue. Blah Blah. Something about rules and more on sport. |
Awesome! Simply awesome! Treyen followed Professor Zookara, of course, no question about that. But...well, yes, he was no Beater. He'd been Keeper and Seeker. Even back at home used to be Chaser, so, yeah. No Beater. That was his sister. The boy eyed his shoes. Good enough. And waited. |
Practical part... She should've known she wouldn't have been able to escape playing this muggle game. Maybe she could be that empire person. They seemed to hold all the power in the game when calling the shots. Besides, those were the people that didn't run, hit, or do anything in the game but just talk. Yes! It was perfect! Aw wait no, Patroclus wanted to be that person. Meh, she wasn't a beater either, so she'd just...stay back here then. Waaaay back here. Maybe she wouldn't even have to play the game then. |
Freya followed Professor Zookara into the next room when she entered it she was amazed. She was in the middle on the baseball field. WICKED..!! She heard the Professor asked for beater. She never played beater before so she just stood there waiting for other students to volunteer. |
Giggling at her best friend's eagerness to bat, Lori shoved her hands into her pockets and looked around. She liked bats. And shoes. MAYBE SHE COULD BAT THE REMAINING SHOES AWAY! Ooooh. She'd ask the Professor later, with a biiiig 'pretty please' face, and a grin, and a giggle. Then a pout. THEN CHOKLIT. |
Alice walked out into the replica of a baseball field and smiled. Her dad loved baseball and she remembered playing catch with him in her backyard at home. Alice had worn her sneakers, which were still strapped with duct tape over the huge hole from the potions disaster...well perhaps disaster was too strong a word...mishap is better. Alice went over and stood near everyone else that had come out and looked around. She loved the way they could make the ceilings here look like the actual sky. |
Fee stood next to Freya looking rather confused. She had never played basketball in her life before. |
Baseball- yeah, Hugo had played it with his dad. He was sure he was at least a bit good at it. He looked around. Ahh, the outside. |
Emmaleigh followed her classmates through the door, and wasn't the least bit surprised at what she saw. She had been expecting this after all. But she didn't like it, No sir. She may know the basic rules of the game, but Emmaleigh hated playing it. She is horrible at it. She is way too clumsy to make a good player. |

Savannah stood, hand on hip eying the ground. Baseball? She didn't want to play baseball! It required her getting all dirty and gross and icky and Savannah was NOT prepared for it at all. Savvy eyed her suede heels, knowing why he said not to wear heels to class. Pffffft...she was ABOVE that rule. Savvy could do anything in heels.....maybe. In all honesty she didn't even WANT to play baseball. Couldn't she just sit and look pretty? She was awfully good at looking pretty. Savannah raised a hand, hearing everyone shouting out random positions to be at. "Can I be in the position that allows me to wear my shoes...."Pause."And preferably doesn't let them get dirty?"Savvy eyed her shoes and then looked back at Zookara."They are rather expensive you know..." |
Daisy had stood quietly and observed. She'd never actually been on a Baseball Field. She ran her hand through her hair and sighed. |
Adeline sauntered to the field. HAUNTING MEMORIES !! Ohh... how much she wanted to leave. Cheering was waaayyy bettter! Shelooked down at her new old converse and smilled at the picture of someone getting hit with baseball. She raised her hand and said. "Can I just sit out or be the batter..." she said with her arms crossed. This was gonnna be a lonngg lesson... |
Beater? What? "I could be beater, Professor!! Pleeeaseee?" Oh, how Ellie missed hitting a ball. Hah, that sounded dangerous, didn't it? |
Simon followed the rest of the class through the door, only to find the baseball field in front of him. Looks like the professors are getting a kick of having classes with a lot of physical activity this term, he mused to himself. Hearing the request for a beater to deminstrate, he almost volunteered since he usually did play that position, but he kept quiet when he was beaten to it by Cameron. Instead waiting for the practical part to begin so they could play, the Gryffindor boy quite used to playing with his older brother. |
Walking down to the room with the other students, Louisa was shocked to know why she wore flats today. She definitely didn't see THIS coming. Playing baseball? Like with bats and all? No wands or super-cool sport for wizards which happened to be Quidditch!! She frowned slightly and folded her arms, "Er.. Can I be the one who crouch behind the batter wearing a glove and a.. bars veil?" Yeah that role would absolutely fit her. Well, the teacher didn't say he wanted to form a team yet but that was too obviouse.. everyone chose their own positions. |
SQUEEE! Amber couldn't believe they were playing baseball! She was so beast at this game! She couldn't wait to get a bat in her hands, she was told by some of her friends that she was lethal with a baseball bat. She grinned, bouncing on the heels of her shoes. |
Edmond stepped into the class and found that it didn't look like any ordinary class. Did he go to the wrong room again, or perhaps end up outside. He went back out into the hall and came back in. He was in the correct class. He stood in the back of the room and listened to the professors directions. Baseball. Edmond has never ever played baseball before. He's read about it, but that was as close as he got to Baseball. This was going to be interesting. Ha! Good thing he brought his black and white Converse. |
Stepping out onto the baseball field, Mia looked slightly dismayed. Sports were definitely not her thing. It was not for lack of trying though, more the fact that she had absolutely no coordination whatsoever. But she was glad that she was wearing her own sneakers though. Thanks to Matty. Glancing out over the field and then to the equipment, Mia raised her hand. "Sir I'm happy to go in the out field. Like really far out." How many people were going to be able to hit the ball out there? Most of them didn't even know what baseball was. |
Stepping onto the field, he grins broadly. He loved baseball! He couldn't wait to get started, his head bobbing, he looks around spotting the professor. "I'd be a good catcher." he said. He wasn't much for throwing very well, but he could catch easily that's what made him a good seeker. |
Meredith stepped inside the classroom and looked up and down. She tilted her head, she was very confused. Meredith had no idea what any of this was. Whatever it was, she was probably going to stink at it, considering she had heard nothing about this game. |

Placing her hands on her hips, Mia mock glared at Sal. She had no idea what the difference the left outfield made from the centre or the right but if Sal suggested it then it couldn't be anything good. He was a cheeky one. Was this payback for the mohawk? Mia stood for a moment still staring at him and then a small mischevious smile spread across her face and she moved through the crowd of students until she was behind him and then she jumped on his back. "New rules of the game. You have to run the bases while giving me a piggyback." |
Lauren walked out onto the field "Oh.My.Goodness. This is not right." She sighed "I'll be out field too!" She smiled "Or better yet, I'll be a spectator, all games need those right." She gave him a hopeful grin. |
Quote:
"I'm all set!" Alice said warmly. "Although I do hope that my shoe holds it together." Alice looked down and eyed the duct tape that basically took up half of her shoe. "How is your leg doing?" Alice asked, pleased to see that Salander was moving without any pain. |
Chloe walked through the door and her jaw dropped as she saw amini baseball field. Her old school had never been this hands on with muggle sports. Then again her school was one of mostly elitist magical pricks so what can you expect. But Chloe had always been facinated by the muggle world and and crossed over quite a lot growing up but to actually see a magical school take an active intrest in muggle studies is just WOW. She saw the huge pile of shoes and quickly found her size and laced up. She could not wait for this game to begin. |
Cass entered the field and frowned, she had no idea how to play the muggle sport. "Maybe I could just be moral support?" She asked herself as she sat down on the grass at the sides of the room and hoping that she could just watch her classmates play. |
She walked onto the feild and a found a familar sense of home she had played softball in the muggle world which was not so different from baseball. "Yes, finally something to remind me of home" she exclaimed with excitement |

Poor kid, he's nervous. Preston walked into the Muggle Studies room, shocked to find himself standing on a miniture version of a...baseball field? He shrugged his shoulders, nothing surprised him too much at Hogwarts. Everything was amazing. No more than amazing. The only thing now that made Preston nervous was the fact he wasn't good at sports due to his clumsiness...and that he knew nearly no one still... except for...the one girl he had met in the courtyard with Ringo. Though he didn't catch her name, at least Preston had the feeling he knew someone. Quote:

Yes. YES. They were going to play baseball. Rose could do this! She could SO do this! She dumped her bag in the corner of the room, by rhe pile of sneakers. Why had she bought her bag, anyway? There was no point in that at all. It wasn't like she had a baseball bat hidden in there. Though, that wasn't a half-bad idea. Maybe she should have a baseball bat in there? She glanced down at her shoes and smiled. No borrowed shoes for her todayy! She'd worn her favourite converse, the purple ones with little stars. They'd be perfect for baseball. Rose looked pityingly at the girl in the high heels. Who was stupid enough to come in heels? How was that girl gonna play baseball? Huh? Silly people. Now she'd have to borrow the nasty, worn sneakers. HA. |
Oh. NO. Nonononono. This could not be happening. They were playing BASEBALL?! Rubiey groaned, and almost walked back out, except she didn't want to let Professor Zookara down. Sighing, she put her bag down with the rest, and stood on around the field thingy, hoping not to be seen. Rubiey was a hazard with anything bat-related in her hand. Like, seriously. When they had done Cricket at her old school for PE, she had swung for the ball, only to let go of the bat causing it to land riiiiight on the teachers foot. Which had been broken for 6 weeks. GAH, this was Rubiey's WORST NIGHTMARE. She looked down at her feet, and almost cried when she was reminded she had put Converses on today. Typical. She should have found some heels, and worn them. She hated heels, but then atleast she would have an excuse not to play.. |
Sophia smiled when she walked into the baseball field classroom. "Yay! We are gonna play baseball!!!!" she exclaimed, happily. She laced up her cleats and got ready to play. |
rearranging slightly heh.... Quote:

Oooh a sporting event! That did not involve heights! Or magic! Or brooms! Or heights! Fletcher liked this. And he had seen cricket a few times, so how hard cold baseball be, right? "I wanna play a bass...er...base," the boy muttered, scuffling his sneakers on the grass. He leaned toward Salander and added an aside behind his hand, "Which spot's the best, mate?" |
Quote:
Of course he kinda left out the very important fact that the Catcher also gets pummeled the most by all the batters tearing down like a runaway train trying to make a homerun. Guess Fletcher will have to find that out on his own wont he? |

"Sir, can I help in demonstrating?" he said. He had played baseball before and he is pretty good at it. |
Text Cut: Cameron & Kurumi Oooh, good, Cameron had volunteered first. Jeremy wasn't completely sure if he had handed the bat to say Trixie for demonstration purposes. Though, she was probably going to be allowed to bat later. They all were. Okay, most of them. "Okay, come on over here, Cameron." Jeremy beckoned her to join him near the home base before turning back to Kurumi. "Excellent, thank you Kurumi." He followed the girl's gaze towards the box and nodded. "Yes, please, could you please just take the box along with you and then join me and Cameron?" She probably needed help with the heavy box...unless she used magic. Which he could have done too, but this was Muggle Studies so he was trying to use as little magic as possible. Quote:
Why could he already hear the boy shout 'You fail!' or 'Strike 234'? Quote:
"Now, while our two volunteers-" He gestured towards Cam and Kurumi. "-are getting ready, you may already form groups of two or three." Jeremy was already half-turned back to his volunteers as he stopped and added, "And please don't let anybody stand there alone, without a group." He WAS going to deduct points if it was too obvious somebody was excluded. Because that was just plain rude. |
Groups of two or three? Well then this lesson was falling apart. Daisy looked around for someone she knew that she could team up with. |
Amber had her hands in her pockets, looking around. They had to split into groups? Great, this was basically a test to see how popular you were. She decided to be a good little seventh year and try to be in a group with a younger student. She walked over to a girl named Daisy and said, "Hey, do you want to be in a group together?" She smiled, showing her gleaming white teeth that contrasted greatly with her red hair. Sometimes as a joke people shielded their eyes when she smiled, which always made Amber giggle. |
SPOILER!!: proffie *snuggles* Kurumi looked at the box. It was HUGE! He was joking, right? She approached the box as if it were going to jump up and bite her. She peaked in and found a glove her size and moved it to the top of all the supplies. Now...to carry it back over to the professor. She tried to pick it up but it was like trying to pick up a boulder. That wasn't going to work. Pulling! Yes, that should work. She grabbed the side nearest her and tried to pull....but ended up leaning back to far that she fell on her back. Nope...that wasn't going to work either. With only one other option left, she scampered over to the other side of the box, pressed her entire right side against the box and began ever so slowly pushing it towards the professor. Success! No matter how ridiculous she looked, at least she was moving the box, right? |
*giggle* Quote:
She got to hit things. At people. For school. HEH. Cameron was good at really good at beating. She liked to hit things. Hard. Or poke. Or flick. WHatever was easiest really. She grinned at the Professor. YAYS. She was pretty excited. Y'know. To hit stuff. And.. play the game obviously. She'd seen baseball on tv once or twice but it was usually the American teams playing. And she preferred watching the Rugby anyway. Box..box..box.. What was IN the box? Peeking inside, she 'ooohed' a bit at the contents. There was gloves, helmets and other.. basebally shizz. That was exciiiiiiiiiting! "Sirrrrrrrr," She asked with a frown. "Do we have to wear the entire get up?" Because she'd look foolish. Like.. really bad. She giggled slightly as Savannah complained about having to change shoes. Typical. "I wanna see you try run in 'em." *snort* That'd be hilarious. "Buhhht, you don't wanna ruin them, Sav. Do ya?" Probably not. Because they were fancyshmancy and probably cost a small house. |

WHUT?! Groups of two and three? Lori frowned and stood still. "Professor, can I not just sit out, and wait for Cammy to finish that demonstration thing? She's like... attached to me. So I can't be in a group without her." Attached? Metaphorically speaking, of course. They weren't REALLY attached. Mentally, yes. If it involved spider killing, or bagpipe stealing, then they were attached. Hehe. "Savs?..." She didn't even try, because she wasn't having Sav go all KAPOW! on her head. Hehe. "... Hair looks nice!" Phew. Nice cover, Lorelai. If you do say so yourself. Heh. |
Quote:
Now...to make sure she didn't hit Cam during the demonstration...time to do some visualization.... |
Quote:
"Hey Lorelai, if you need someone in your group, I'll come help you out!" |
Quote:
"Wouldn't it just be easier to take the glitter!weapons off and play?" It might even be sort of fun. But Lori didn't seem to give the idea a thought when she pronounced to Zooky that she wanted to sit out. *snicker* "Lolly finds it hard to function, y'know, without me." *GIGGLE* She winked at her bestie and turned when Kurumi spoke. Quote:
She took the things as the bat and helmet were stuffed into her hands. "So organised! Me likeeey!" Her little helper, friend. HEH. "So it goes like that?" She asked, shoving it on her head. Man.. she must've looked like a REAL dork. |
Patroclus could not have been more excited! Jumping up and down, around the magic pitch like a crazy person, the boy's glee was more then obvious. Taking in a HUGE breath he prepared for the biggest You're out of the history of the world "- " but nothing happened. With a massively cheeky grin the boy whispered, "I have to save my voice." Doing the running-man dance on the pitch the boy got into position....but wait! "Sir I need a uniform?!?!?" He called to Zookara, "Zooky-Dooks? You have already used magic....please!" the boy pleaded. This boy had poured crazy on his cereal this morning, not milk. |
Sarah was bouncing on her trainered feet, watching as Cam and Kurumi - did he say? - got themselves ready for the demonstration. She was eager to start doing something, but had been too slow in putting her hand up to help. Ohh well. They had to get into groups, so at least she could do something then. Seeing that Lori was going with Cam after, and had been asked by another person too, Sarah pouted. "Right, so no best friend group then..." Spinning on the spot, she saw loads of people milling around, none of which she really knew. Only one thing for it then.... "Who wants to be in a group with me?" She said, voice raised slightly for everyone to hear. |
Quote:
Trixie eyed the bat quickly before crossing her arms. She missed the beaters bat. Like really but it was probably for the best. If someone wanted to avoid getting a black eye or you know, remain uninjured, then Trix should be kept far FAR away from the bat. Oh and not forgetting Oliver was in the room too. *Smiiiiiiiiiirk* The blonde heard a familiar name call out however and so she tuned in quickly to disocver who it was. "SARAH! I'll go with you" the sixth year called out looking out for the Head Girl. Her eyes were drawn to the Hufflepuff and so the sixteen year old rushed over with a grin. It was best for her to go with someone she knew, she'd much prefer it that way. |

But. There were was another girl doing the same as her! Yayayayayayay! Though this other girl wasn't quite so loud as Rose had been. She bounded over over happily nevertheless, a huge smile on her face'I'lll be your partner!' she said breathlessly, still a bit short on oxygen from shouting so loud. Eh, who needed air anyway? |
Quote:
|
Luna looked around desperately for a partner or a group to join. She didn't want to be the only one without a partner. Even though the teacher said that she would take away points for exclusion, Luna still didn't feel as though that would resolve the problem. "Anyone want to be partners?" she asked timidly which was odd for her she was always so outgoing if not loud. But meeting new people was one of her weak points. |
*huggles her group* <3333 Quote:
Sarah beamed as she saw Trixie rush over towards her. "TRIXIEEEE, yay. I'd like that." Good, so they had two people. Flinging an arm around the Slytherin, she scanned the rest of the area to see if anyone wanted to make it three. Seeing as they could. "You know anything about Baseball?" She asked, turning her head and quirking an eyebrow at the blonde. It could be interesting if she didn't. Quote:
Giggling as he waved like a nutter, Sarah motioned for him to join them. He seemed very excited. "We'd love to have you. Well I would, and I'm sure Trixie wouldn't mind either." She looked at her friend and smiled. Surely she wouldn't. Hehe. "Have you two met before?" Introductions might be good before they start. Especially if they'd need to, you know, communicate with each other. |
Pffft. The professor was being totally unfair! ... Giving them no chances of sitting out like she had seen those muggles do before. Those were positions in baseball too right!? The ones that sit down and watch the game?! She wanted to be in THAT part! Still standing away from anyone, Evelyn crossed her arms and...stood there. Hmpht. The only group SHE was going to be in was with Marie and Destiny. On the other hand, where were her Slytherin friends? She didn't want to be stuck in some group with cookie girl or something. |
And everyone's favorite part came along...where partners and groups were formed. So actually not the favorite. Simon looked around realizing that neither of his best friends were in the class and he sighed. So much for that option,he mused to himself continuing to look around for other ideas as students started pairing up and his options dwidled. |
Rubiey stood, shuffling her feet and staring fixedly at the ground. NOBODY would want her on their team, she was pretty sure of that. She looked at Porfessor Zookara. "Umm, Sir? Could I just... watch? I have a bad.. umm.. toe. So I can't.. run. And my, er, thumb hurts, so I don't think I can, you know, hold the bat.." She trailed off. She was the worst liar EVER. It really was in everyone's best interests that she didn't play. Her and games with bats did NOT mix. At All. Unless somone was willing to get concussion, which she highly doubted. |

And THAT was because she was hyperr! Very, very, very hyper. People in the dorm had a lot of sweeties! And she had her own stash as well. Although they were special weird stuff her mum had given her, with NO SUGAR. Pout. Sugar was so awesome. |
Text Cut: Kurumiiiiii *huggles* Watching Kurumi as she tried to get the box, Jeremy waited for somebody to help her. Anybody. It was so obvious she was having trouble moving the box. But no, nobody obviously cared enough to help her. What was wrong with the people in this class?! Just as he was about to snap at the class - something he hardly ever did - Kurumi managed to move the box. Slowly, very slowly, but she made it over to them. "Thank you, Kurumi." Jeremy gave her a grin before turning to face his other volunteer...or not. Quote:
Sit out?! Jeremy blinked at Lori a few times in confusion. Why would she want to sit out? And she was attached to Cammy? Okay. Totally made sense. Not. "Well, you won't be doing anything in those groups until Cammy-" What a cute nickname. Snort. "-and Kurumi here are done with the demonstration. So, no need to sit out. You'll just be your own group for now." If that made sense. Probably not but he was the teacher here so no objecting. Quote:
"So, again, Rubiey, please find a group. Or I'll have to send you to the Healer if you're soo badly hurt." As if. He raised his eyebrows at her for a moment before addressing the whole class again. In the meantime, Kurumi had thankfully helped Cameron into the appropriate outfit. With a grateful grin towards the younger girl he turned to face Cameron. "You ready? Just try to hit the ball with the bat." Duh, obviously. "Kurumi? If you please." She would know what to do, right? She HAD claimed that she knew how to pitch. |
Quote:
"Of course m'lady," he replied. "You might want to tone it down just a little now though," he mused with a smile hoping not to burst her bubble of energy. Just knowing that it might get distracting to the professor and class if not just him. |
Hey-o! Quote:
"I'm still alone guys." The 11 year old said loud enough for everybody to hear, "Anyone?" Like she wasn't begging or anything mind you, she'd prefer to work on her own anyways which was impossible because the teacher was clear. And then she saw the girl with the not-well toe asking the professor to go out. Louisa walked over to her and tried to smile, "Hey there! Are you okay? We can team up and play 'carefully'" Yep, teaming up with people her age was the best. She would never let older students show off their advanced magic. Ever. |
SPOILER!!: professor! *glomp* Kurumi bowed slightly and put the bag of chalk down before picking up one of he baseballs in the box. She made her way to the pitchers mound and hid her free hand in her glove to get the proper grip on the baseball for her two-seam fastball. She waited for Cam to take her spot by homeplate and then Kurumi's eyes focussed entirely on a spot behind Cam right around the girl's waist line - perfect spot to throw a strike. She put her pivot foot on the pitcher's mound and began her wind up motion, raising her left leg to get strong forward movement, and then... WOOOOOOOOOOSH! ...she threw one of her best fastballs ever - must be the nerves. |

The Slytherin knew you were supposed to hit the ball with the bat thingy, but she had forgotten to realize that the ball was being thrown at you! The professor did say they weren't going to play didn't he!? She didn't want the cookie girl to throw a ball THAT FAST at her. Evelyn kneeew she would miss on purpose and hit her with it. The seventh year, skipped over to the homeplate, flailing the bat round. SHE LOVED HITTING THINGS. TEhehehee. *evil laugh* Getting in position, she bent her knee's slightly and winked at the fist year. "Ready when you are!" She had her eyes set. Bat in position. Determined. She aimed to swing. Her eyes caught on the blonde standing next to Sarah and she fought her inate urge to swing in her direction. But that was mean. She was a Prefect and Oliver would kill her. Ohhh.. and then Trixie would reincarnate her, only to kill her again for .. breaking her nail or something. No. Demonstration time. KETHUNK The ball rebounded, soaring into the sky. Cameron snickered, dropped the bat and spriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinted to first base. "Right.. I got the jist, yeah?" You know.. hit and run? |
With permission... *Grins evilly* Quote:
Well she didn't mind if he joined them. She was just about to introduce herself but it seemed that Sarah had already mentioned her name anyway for her..... Quote:
"Not at all" the sixteen year old replied after Huffie Champion guy asked to be in their group. "The more the merrier yes?" she grinned. Wait was that even right? "I don't believe we have" Trixie replied after Sarah asked if they had met before. "I'm err...Trixie. Sixth year Slytherin" the Blonde smiled softly. SPOILER!!: KETCHUUUUUUUUUP Trixie was about to say something else when she heard a sudden whack and she turned to see Cammy had already hit the ball and it had lown up somewhere in the air. Not really paying much attention to the whereabouts of the ball, the Slytherin turned away from everyone and went to say something else to Sarah when.... WHACK! O_________________________O "Owwwwwwwwwwwww!" the sixteen year cried. Oh. My. Goodness. She did that on purpose!! This was REVENGE. For something she had done that couldn't she couldn't remember. Well actually she knew PERFECTLY well what this was revenge for but still. Trix glared at Cammy, if only looks could kill, as the Gryffindor ran. A few heavy breaths and she was ready to charge. Just not quite yet. Her head was painful. She rubbed the back of it for a while. That was going to leave a whacking great big bruise. Oh so THIS was how Oliver felt when Trixie had hit him. Oops.... Her face turned a deep shade of red as she continuously GLARED at Ketchup. Give her horns and scrape her feet, she'd look like a bull ready to charge at a red piece of cloth. |
Quote:
SPOILER!!: BASEBALL PLAYAS!! Fletcher turned slightly from the Head Girl as he spotted the professor and two girls getting ready to play baseball. Ooh, one of them was his fellow Champion! Cool. Fletcher stared intently from the girl throwing the ball --- ditching, or whatever it was called --- to the girl with the long wooden stick. She was hatting? "That looks schweeeet," Fletcher said to himself, impressed with the Muggle game. "Are we supposed to go get the ball now or something?" he added as the baseball soared right past him. Why was the hatter running away from it? Was it like hot potato? You didn't want to be left with the ball? Quote:
Huh? Why was she rubbing the back of her head? "You all right there?" he asked slowly. "You didn't... get HIT did you?!" Was that how you were supposed to play? By aiming for people?! Because that would be even awesomer. |
o_____________0 Merlin help her.. Cameron gulped. She hadn't MEANT to hit her. Truly. Really. *innocent* Well.. she had. Subconsciously but THAT WASN'T THE SAME THING! *pouttt* From first base, she ran over to the girl, pushing past Fletcher. Oopssssss. Trixie was going to kill her. "Sweets.. I'm sooooo sorry, I really didn't mean to.." Heh. She kinda HAD been planning it, but what was important was that she'd decided AGAINST it. YAHH! "Where did it hitcha? Your head?" Cameron hadn't REALLY been paying attention. Y'know. She'd been running and shizz. ..."Not gunna kill me are you?" *gulp* Cos.. Trixie could bat. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! |
Umpire Patroclus ooc. You seemed to have missed my other post :shifty: "Let's Play Balll!" Patroclus bellowed, doing another little jig on the spot. "Fore" Patroclus called in the same breath as Cameron's ball flew into peoples heads, "Fore! Duck! Quack!" He needed to warn people, but also he just liked Ducks! "Catch it People" He sang to the fielders, he wanted to get the chance to say You're Out.....maybe he would do it anyway? |
is Sal in a group? *ish totally lost* >_< Quote:
Quote:
He smiled when Mia agreed to join their team "And that makes three..." he trailed off just when he wanted to ask Fletcher if he wanted to join them too, not really caring if that makes them four people in a group, to Salander thats just a two-person team working together, which is still within the Profesor's instructions right? “Anyone still in need of a partner?” Oliver raised his voice and looked around at his classmates who looked as if they'd already paired up. Great, so now the Snake was Billy No Mates. Meh.. Maybe Zooky needed a partner. Heh. Unsure what to do as he'd never played baseball before (yeah, they'd gone through the rules, but Oliver was much better at learning through doing than through theory), he hovered not too far from Trixie as Cameron took her place to bat. TWACK! Woah.. Cam wasn't joking when she said she was a good Beater! Oliver's eyes followed the ball as it sailed up into the air with force as if it had been hit by a large muscular boy, not a little redheaded girl. His eyes widened as it neared it's target. That target being non other than Trixie Malfoy's head! EK! Would she realise and catch it? “Think Chaser, Trix!” He yelled at her but it was too late and he winced, squeezing his eyes closed. Ouch! That had to hurt. Crapola.. Um.. “You alright there, Trix?” He asked concerned. Her brain was already damaged without yet another blow to the head. She looked so angry. Really angry. But that was good, right? At least she was still consious. He looked at the Huffie Champion and shot him an amused smirk. Muggle Studies was fun. |

Alice listened while Salander introduced her to Mia. "Well I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have died from the wound...perhaps lost a limb...but I'm glad I could help," Alice said with a laugh, her cheeks flushing at the compliment. "You turned him into a rockstar?" Alice asked Mia curiously. "Ooh, did you teach him how to play the guitar?" Alice asked, knowing that most rockers had guitars...well muggle rockers did anyway. |
Quote:
Leaning her head slightly towards him, Mia grinned. "Oh I think I am gonna help you bat Sal. Let's see how the pitcher handles that. I can take the high balls." She would probably knock Sal's head off in the process but it would be a first for the game of baseball. Quote:
Mia laughed at Alice's question and gave Sal a big hug. "Nothing as exciting as that. No I just gave him a rock star hair do. Sal did all the rest. He's not that bad either." |
Kurumi, seeing the outcome and chaos her pitching had started, hid her face in her glove. "...nice hit Cam...," she whispered from the mound as she began playing with the bag of chalk. Was this going to be like a real baseball game and have a brawl in the middle of the field? Although, usually it was the team manager or coach arguing with the umpire... |
<3 LOVEYOUTRIXIE. xD Quote:
Trixie was going to kill her. Like y'know - swing a bat and knock her out for.. hitting her. "It was an accident!" The redhead squeaked, throwing a hasty glance at Oliver. He'd protect her if Trixie decided she wanted red meat? *GULP* Or would he be angry? .. He didn't look it. Kinda amused. She flicked him. "LOOK APOLOGETIC!" She flailed at him. But wasn't that her job? Considering she'd thwacked it into her head. Oopsies. Nayways. Oliver had to look sad too. Just cos. Quote:
"Ya think? It had a nice curve and back wind and shizz.." She had no idea what she was talking about. But still. *gigglesnort* |
SPOILER!!: CAM! *snuggles* Kurumi, her face still in her glove, giggled nervously. "My brothers would love you," she said through her glove. Junichiro especially liked girls that were sporty. She then turned to the professor wondering if she should keep pitching for Cam, let someone else try and bat, or just stop while she was ahead and hadn't hit anyone. She noticed cookie hater standing on the sidelines glaring at her. Maybe she would like to take a wack at batting? Kurumi would try her best not to hit her... |

Vienna was not sure which group she was supposed to be in sports of any kind confused her She wondered to how on earth muggles coped with all that running and sliding around in the dirt. Despite her feelings Vienna was still eager to learn and have a go |

THWACK! ..Too late. The ball hit the Blonde straight in the back of the head. She ran over to her. "Trix, are you okay? You should go to the nurse. Make sure you're not.. concussed or something." She said to her. WOW, she looked angry. No wonder Cam looked scared. |
Poor, poor Trixie. *snorts* Breaking it uppp. Oliver's in there somewhere. lol Quote:

Sarah smiled at both her teammates, before turning her attention in the direction of the demonstration. Cam had hit the ball and begun running. BUT - This wasn't good. Eyes going wide, Sarah watched in horror as the ball came towards them, and worse - Trixie. Waving her hands in the direction of it, in a vain attempt to catch it, she cringed when it hit. THUNK. Oh. Dear. Me. "Trixie! Let me see, where does it hurt most?" Wiggling her fingers to try and get at her friends head, Sarah bit her bottom lip as she saw the glare the girl was giving Cam. This was NOT good. Quote:
Stepping back, Sarah twisted her fingers together, silently urging Trixie to keep calm and not do anything silly in response. But, of course, it seemed like everyone had seen it. And she was feeling embarrassed. With no idea why. Quite possibly on behalf of the poor girl with a bump on her head. Then Oliver made his presence known as well. "I'm not so sure she is," Sarah mumbled in response to his comment. Grimacing as she folded her arms. |

"Well everyone knows that a rockstar's looks are just as important as their music," Alice said with a nod. "So what instruments do you play Salander?" Alice asked, knowing that she was rubbish with playing any form of instrument. |

'FineI'lltoneitdown' she said quickly, and then bent down to retie her shoelace. She stood up, but it was with less energy. She was going to tryy and not be hyper. She wasn't sure how hard it'd be... but...yeah. She was going to try. 'So, um, I think I'd better warn you before we start, I'm really bad at this. Well, probably, because I can't throw at all' |

Ow. Ow. Ow. Jeez who knew it would hurt so much to be hit in the back of the head with a baseball. Well of course it would, how hard WAS that bloomin' ball? The Sixteen year olds eyes started to water as she thought more and more of the lump on the back of her head. "Yes" she muttered through watery eyes. No she was just exclaiming in pain for no apparent reason. <_< Quote:
Didn't MEAN to? Pfft. Trixie knew full well that Cammy despised her for one reason. And that reason happened to be in the room right now as well. Trix said nothing, simply glared, almost living up to her full Snakie behaviour as hissing came out of her mouth. *Grooooooooowl* Her eyes left the Gryffie quickly as she looked for where the baseball bat had landed, not caring for whoever else was stood around in the lesson. ... Owwwwwwwwwww Quote:
Think Chaser? *Growl* A little LATE wasn't it? She hadn't been prepared for a flippin' Baseball to be flying towards her. Clever. Real Clever. She glared slightly at her Bestie's amused smirk. Oh he was probably gonna love this wasn't he? Revenge for himself and HE didn't even have to do anything. What goes around comes around yes? HMPH! "Do I look alright?" she snapped before turning back to glare at his girlfriend. She was actually pretty surprised there wasn't steam coming out of her ears yet. She was so overwhelmed with anger right now she had even forgotten all about the pain. That wouldn't last long though.... Quote:
What was it with everyone and calling out too late? Gah curse the fact she had been distracted. Someone should have caught it. Yes that was it. It wasn't HER fault she didn't catch it in time. She wouldn't cry though. Nope Trixie Malfoy never cried. That was a complete lie, there had been more then one occasion where she had cried. "I'm FINE" she lied through gritted teeth. She didn't mean to snap at her younger Gryffindor friend but just the MASSIVE bruise on the back of her head was really starting to hurt. *Sniff* Though she hadn't actually been to the Hospital Wing this term. Big shocker. That had been her home last term practically. Quote:
"Please say there isn't a giant lump on the back of my head" the Slytherin pouted. It was obvious there was. She could feel it. And judging by the throbbing pain, it was getting larger by the second. But out of all the people around her, Trixie still couldn't keep her attention away from simply giving daggers at Cammy. Even though there was the Head Boy and Girl in their presence. SPOILER!!: Lexabearrrrrrrr She was laughing? LAUGHING?! Okay that did it. Where did she put that bat? The Blondes eyes scanned extremely quickly around the pitch and landed on the round object, right where Cameron had dropped it just after she had hit the ball. The sixteen year old made a dart for it. She'd use it as no weapon, Trix was only violent when it came to Quidditch *Giggle* However Cameron didn't know that. And well if someone threw the ball towards her, Trix might just accidently whack the ball at Cameron's head as well. Mwahahahahah BAT! But she stood there, bat in hand. Woaaaaaaaaaaah Dizziness. Why was the pitch spinning around and ............. |

But the lack of partner didn't seem to matter all that much as things got under way... and then stopped again abruptly when Trixie was hit on the head with the ball. hehehe! He frowned at Cam, the smirk falling off his face. Look apologetic? HIM!? He wasn't the one that—jeez! Quote:
“Well you're conscious.” He shot back sarcastically to his bestie. “Don't take this out on me, Trix.” Um... or Cameron for that matter because it was an accident. AN ACCIDENT! *sigh* His expression softened. It was probably the shock that had made her snappish. “Are you alright?” He asked again. “Think you need to go and see Moretti?” Quote:

Focusing back on Trixie, the blonde did not look a happy bunny. A woman on a mission, there was no stopping her from getting to that bat. Oh Merlin... she WOULDN'T! “Just calm down, Trixie.” He said gently, hands raised in defence even if it wasn't him she was out to get .... And then she was down. Ooooh dear. Oliver swallowed, pausing for a second before rushing to his bestie's side. “Trix? Trix can you hear me?” Tap tap tappy of the cheek. "Trixie?" Um... Where was Professor Zooky? |
Wait. What had happened? Treyen pretty much opened his eyes to notice some ball hitting someone in the head. He had no idea whether it was done on purpose or not...he didn't know the girl either, so he didn't freak out about it. Bludgers hit harder than those little balls. And...wait...they were supposed to team up? Seeeeee, this is why you have to pay attention!!! "Er, is anyone without a partner? Or missing one?" he asked, to no one in particular. |

Looking around at his classmates, it was obvious many hadn't ever played, he thought smirking to himself. |
