Simon glanced within the bag to see what he could identify. Unfortunately many of his classmates had beaten him to it so there was little to offer but he briefly searched all the same without taking anything out. "Pain relief pills are included," he finally answered once he found something not already mentioned. |
Neptune rummaged and rummaged through her own bag, but no matter how much she searched.... "Professor," Neptune began, "there's something wrong with my kit. Mine has what all of theirs has. Nothing special in here. I was sort of hoping for a little nursing hat in mine...." WIBBLE. Make that HAPPEN, Professor. WIBBLE. |
SPOILER!!: He is so getting kicked Marie didn't miss the look she got from Evelyn but that didn't stop her thoughts. She WOULD kick Josh if he continued throwing things at her. Yeah, he better say alright. There was no way in hell she would ever help him to be mean to Evan Oh he was NOT going to get away with this. She shook the parchment out of her hair then acted as if she was looking at the first aid supplies again. She picked up the tape and... Oops, the tape fell out of her hand and rolled over next to Josh's foot. Well now, she couldn't just leave it there could she. No, the Gryffindork might step on it and fall. Wouldn't want him to get hurt would we. Getting up she went over to get the tape, but not before she grabbed the bits of parchment off her desk. Once she was next to Josh she quickly bent over to pick up the tape. She then stood up, dropped the parchment in his hair and gave him a HARD kick in the shin. "I warned you not to mess with me Josh!" she hissed at him as she walked back to her seat. Once she was settled back in she looked over at Evelyn. "You really should teach your boyfriend some manners." she whispered. Before the boy gets himself seriously hurt by someone he is picking on. |
SPOILER!!: oh dear... Her glare...totally went over Marie's head didn't it... Rolling her eyes, the Slytherin went back to poking the items in the box with her wand. Tape thing, wrap thing, random thing, ugly thing...parchment... Sighing, Evelyn glanced towards Marie, she had to hold in a gasp AND a giggle. That was not a very smart move on Josh's account, but it was still funny to look at. It looked like it snowed in Marie's hair! Bahahaha! As the tape rolled towards somewhere behind her, the Slytherin's eyes followed it for a moment before looking back to Marie. Well there was no way SHE was going to get up and get it, hehe. Snickering, Evelyn watched her Slytherin friend get up to get the tape. ...O__O!!!! "Marie!" she hissed, glaring at the girl as she sat back down. She just...KICKED Josh! GAH! Sitting straight, Evelyn didn't respond to the manners comment, mostly because she agreed with that one, but... "You didn't have to kick him that hard though." Eesh. However, the black eyed Slytherin girl did happen to look back to Josh, giving him a guilty expression and shrugging her shoulders. She'd admit, he did deserve it, even getting a warning before hand!, but it didn't need to be that hard of a kick. Especially in front of the professor. |

Aaron looked into the First Aid kit. He shook it around to get a view of everything. The boy then raised his hand. "Professor; There are Band-Aides... Some disinfectant... A couple of cotton swabs... Tweezers... Aand.... Oh! Some of that long gauze stuff..." He looked up at the professor and smiled. He hoped that had sufficed. |
lol SPOILER!!: she-snakes Hah! The pieces of parchment looked nice in the girl's hair however it turned out that the Slytherin did not like them much. Too bad! Grinning widely Josh started to prepare more pieces to throw at Marie or maybe at some other people when he saw a tape roll and stop near his foot. Ha!? Whose tape was that? Hmm. The boy suspiciously eyed the tape and was about to pick it up when in a sudden Marie appeared out of nowhere and took it then..... GAH! ''Owwww!'' That was a hard kick. A quite hard one. To be frank he was not expecting that girl to kick that hard. Nevertheless, though it did hurt the boy did not move or did anything else. The girl was gone after all, right after hissing her words. Oh really? But the boy thought that she had not seen anything yet messing with Josh Carter was not easy either. Catching Evelyn's look he smiled and winked at her while tearing the whole parchment in his hands into little pieces. Then he made them all Gryffindor red with the colour changing charm they had learned before. Nooow, they were ready to be sent! Witch another short wave of his wand he sent them flying towards the blonde Slytherin girl. Hahahahaha! |

Mia was watching the exchange between Marie and the Gryffindor boy with utter fascination. She was so consumed with their banter that she had forgotten all about the red box sitting on her desk and the fact that she was supposed to be looking at its contents. Her eyes widened a little as Marie stood up and made her way over to him and then she... ... Oh my god she just kicked him!! And it looked like a rather hard kick too. Mia winced a little and couldn't help but rub her own shin as though she was the one that had been kicked. Rummaging through her first aid kit, she found the ice pack and snapped it before leaning over her desk. "Pssst." She placed the ice pack over the boy's shoulder. "Yo dude, I think you're probably going to need this." Ever so helpful was our Mia. |
OOC: I'm so sorry for the delay. I had RL stuff to handle along with connection-issues. iSorry. Quote:

"Bicycle you mean, right, Rhea? And yes you're absolutely correct." Though a little behind but maybe that was normal for the Hufflepuff? "Now, we've moved on from that question though already. Can you name me one of the items in your first aid kit?" He motioned towards the red box in front of her with a encouraging nod. Quote:

That so didn't explain why he should have a first-aid kit with him at all times. "More dangerous than magical things?" He sort of doubted that. Especially the things he taught about in class. "Besides, I still AM a Wizard so I can use my wand to heal any minor cuts and stuff." Or go see the Healer. Obviously. With one last raise of his eyebrows he let the subject drop, however, and moved his attention on to Destiny's answer. Well done, she had identified the gloves. "Yes, correct, why do you suppose we need those?" He inquired while adding 'gloves' to the list. Quote:
Ooooooooh. His lips curled up into a grin as she finally explained why something was wrong with her kit. Or why she thought it was. "Oh, sorry 'bout that, dear." He said with an amused grin before giving his wand a flick, making a nursing hat appear on the girl's head. "That better?" Heh. Text Cut: Kurumi, Salander, Daisy, Lexi, Cass, Finn, Emmy, Simon, Lilyana and Aaron Jeremy nodded in turn to each of the students' answers and gave each of them a grin respectively. "Well done, absolutely correct." And with that he turned to add the mentioned item to the list on the board with his chalk. Text Cut: Marie, Josh and Mia Jeremy was already turning back from adding both Josh's and Marie's answer to the list when he heard them whispering among themselves. Pfft. Well, he was going to let it slide for now, they weren't really interrupting the lesson and he hoped it would only be for a moment. ...or so he had hoped. His hazel eyes flickered back - widening slightly - when out of the corner of his eyes he noticed Marie getting up and...kicking Josh. "5 points from Slytherin!" He gave the girl an incredulous 'WTH?!'-look and was just about to turn his attention back to the rest of the class with an eyeroll when Josh started his parchment-assault on Marie. "And 5 points from Gryffindor. What is wrong with you two?!" With a quick flick of his wand Jeremy levitated the ice pack back into Mia's first-aid kit. He didn't deserve that. Shaking his head one last time at the people involved in the argument, Jeremy turned to face the whole class again and after a short pause - to give them enough time to copy down the lists from the board if they thought it necessary - he continued. "We'll get back to the items inside the kit again in just a moment. Now, imagine you are a Muggle, you do not own a wand or are able to perform any sort of magic." Duh, obviously. "You happen to notice somebody lying on the ground and you suspect that they are not just sleeping or daydreaming. What would your first reaction be? What would you do to make sure in which state the person is in? And no, walking by and ignoring them is NOT an option." He gave them a rather stern look in case anybody was going to suggest that. |
Lexi eyed Josh as he lost HER house 5 points. Idiots! Pursing her lips she then raised her hand and said, "I would check their pulse... you know... see if they're even alive." Seemed like a good start to her. Not that she knew a single thing about Muggle medicine or anything... Yeah. |
Ugh, seriously? Sighing, the Slytherin glanced at Marie once more, both annoyed that she kicked her boyfriend Shaking off all the negative emotions, Evelyn sat up and closed her first aid kit thing as she listened to the Professor. Pfft. Imagine they were muggles? Bleh. That was hard. And them not being able to walk by and ignore them was making it even harder! "Why not? It could be someone playing a joke when they secretly are going to rob everything from you and run away." Constant vigilance and all right? "You never know until it's too late." |

Destiny was being stared at by Professor Not Zoocarcass and it was making her uncomfortable. Now she knew how it felt to be on the other end of those uncomfortable stares she gave people. She simply shrugged at his question about muggle things being more dangerous than magical ones; if she continued to speak, he'd know what she was getting at before. Best to just keep her mouth shut and drop that topic! And the glove question..well, she knew what they were for, and luckily her answer to that question answered the next question he asked! Professor NOT Zoocarcass was just making her life so much easier! "Well, not that I would pretend to be a muggle or anything since I can't speak their language, if I saw someone lying on the ground, I would take out my gloves and slap them across the face with them. If their face turned red from where they were slapped, I'd know if they were alive or not. And that is what the gloves are for, Professor." She finished with a little salute in his direction. So smart Destiny is. |
What would she do if she found some random person on the ground that wasn't sleeping or daydreaming? Hm. Vashti wasn't sure what she would actually do, but since the walking-away option wasn't available, she didn't consider it and tried instead to think of what she might do to help the person. She didn't really carry a first aid kit around with her though... After a few more seconds of thought, she raised her hand. "I'd probably check their pulse and make sure they're breathing, then probably look to see if they have any visible injuries. Like if they're bleeding or something. And then I'd probably try to call an amublance." Seemed like a logical plan, right? |
Quote:
What would be her first reaction? Emmaleigh smiled as she raised her hand. "Honestly Sir, I would probably poke them. But since that has nothing to do with first aid, I would try to find a pulse, or call the emergency number 999. Then I would do what ever they told me to do." |
Kurumi's raised an eyebrow at the Hufflepuff girl's reference to the emergency number. "Wait...isn'tt the number 119?" she asked scratching her head. Maybe it depended on where you were. Did the emergency number change? That seemed mean. "Professor, what country would said person be in?" If this person had fallen in Great Britain, Kurumi clearly had no idea what number to dial. |
lmao, Destiny! Quote:
That look though. The one she happened to notice the man giving her when she glanced up at the sound of her name. That was enough to stop her jarring of the kit. Not without a pout though. Just a little one though. Hmm. What would she do if she came across someone who was lying on the ground. It wasn't hard to imagine the being a muggle since she wasn't allowed to use magic outside the castle anyway. Unless it was an emergency, and so far the situation didn't seem to be one. She was just about to answer when a certain "I would check if they were breathing or not," her eyes moved back to the professor as she spoke. "Maybe shake them a little to be extra sure they weren't in a deep sleep of some sort." Cause ya never did know. |
Hmmm, what would Eino do? He thought that something must be wrong if said person would just be laying on the ground for no apparent reason. "Well Professor..." Eino said as he raised his left hand and scratched the back of his head with his right. "Since I don't know much about Muggles the first thing I would do is call another Muggle for help, and if no other Muggles were around I would scream 'help.' Also, I would tickle the person. Everyone reacts to tickles, so if he didn't then I would know his situation is really an emergency and I would continue to scream." One time his house elf hit its head on the kitchen cupboard door and Eino was able to restore it to consciousness after tickling it for nearly twenty minutes. He also wanted to suggest one of those healing sticky bands with the little ducky designs he once bought from the Muggle store, but he couldn't remember what they were for and he didn't want to sound silly. |

Mia listened to everyone elses responses before she raised her hand. "Sir? But what if the person had been electrocuted? You're not supposed to touch them if that's happened are you? Because won't you get electrocuted as well?" Was she confusing everyone? Most likely. "So maybe you should just LOOK for signs of life or whatever first." |
Emmy raised her hand. "I would first check for any visible wounds, then check for breathing and a pulse, then, if they were breathing, I would put them into the recovery position, and if they were not, I would probably panic, then call an ambulance, then possibly try CPR - although it's usually safer to leave that to the medics, as sreious damage could be caused by incorrect application of CPR." Probably completely wrong, but it was a while since she'd read the first-aid pamphlets that her mother filed away every time a new one appeared... |
Normally Cass would have just opted to kick the person on the side using the toe of her shoes to see if he or she was conscious, but she didn't think the professor would like that. So she opted for a more....helpful option "Well, maybe you should do a visual inspection of the body...you wouldn't want to touch it in case something is broken and you end up breaking it even more..." |
Nu, think peeps. *evil* Jeremy couldn't quite hide the amused grin that flashed across his lips upon picturing the girls just walking up to a person and feeling for their pulse. Especially the person's possible reactions if they weren't hurt and/or unconscious. Amusing, yes. Heh. "Well, you can't really just go and check their pulse. What if they ARE just sleeping after all?" No, they needed to do something first, and that was what he wanted to hear. "Most of you-" His eyes flickered towards Destiny briefly, a small smirk playing around his lips. Yes, her idea would actually serve the purpose too. "have come up with good suggestions but there is one thing you would do right at the beginning. The first thing you would do. What would your first reaction be? No matter if you're a Muggle or not. It's quite simple really." They would probably all do it automatically. |
Lexi looked at the professor and quirked an eyebrow before saying, "Scream for help.. or scream at the person lying on the ground and ask them if they were alright. I mean... my first reaction would be 'Why is that idiot lying on the ground...' Probably." She then busied herself with twirling a lock of blonde hair around her finger. Meh. That was what she would do. That or pull out her wand and poke them with it. |
We no wanna think. *pouts* XD Arya didn't know what she would do first if she came across someone lying on the ground. Did she? Hmm. Muggle or not. Well.....if she had come across someone lying around on the castle she would... "I guess I would stand over them a stare," she mused. "See if there breathing or not. Maybe poke them a bit to?" Was that the response he wanted? HMM. |
Uhmm... "Well, I suppose if someone was just lying on the ground, I'd probably step on them first." Logically. "And then, after I realized they were there, I'd do all that other stuff?" Melanie suggested, raising her hand. |
