He was just about to turn his attention back to the chalk in his hands when he heard the girl's question. CPR? This one knew what she was talking about. Unfortunately for them, Jeremy did not miss the look the two sent Salander which caused a small grin to flash across his lips. Maybe he should let them perform a little CPR on each other after all. Heh. Quote:
Another one had arrived. No, she had ARRIVED. In capital letters. There was no other way to describe it. His hazel eyes followed the girl - what was her name again? - as she finally entered the class room and...wiggled his fingers at him. Err. Was he supposed to wiggle back? If it hadn't been for the fact that he was a professor and probably not supposed to wiggle his fingers at students, he would have. Totally. But as it were he settled with a small smile. Quote:

Treyen seemed so...different. Not his usually bouncy self. Jeremy couldn't help but frown slightly, not directly because of Treyen but rather because of whatever made him feel that way. "Hello, Treyen." He greeted the boy with a smile nonetheless, making a mental note to ask him about the skateboards after class (which his owner never actually RPed but we shall just assume he gave him instructions. xD) He wondered how that was going...and if the groundskeeper had already caught him trying it out. Hopefully not. Quote:

"America, really? How was it?" He replied with a grin at the boy's explanation of his previous absence in class. "I'm Professor Jeremy Zookara. And your name is...?" With a smile he waited for the Slytherin to respond. Quote:

Maybe he was going to give her a nutcracker along with the teddy bear, you know, just in case. Quote:
"Hello Trixie." He greeted the Slytherin with a grin from behind his desk as he watched her take one of the first-aid kits and eye the teddy bear fondly. Maybe he should just duplicate them and hand them out after class. Why he had brought it along, he wasn't sure, he had just found it somewhere in his office and decided it would sort of go along well with the lesson. Quote:

Text Cut: The Durmstrang studentsies Were those...Jeremy blinked at the two girls who had just entered the classroom, positively surprised by their willingness to attend this class. "Welcome, please have a seat, class will begin in just a minute." Like, now actually. He was quite happy about the fact that the two Durmstrang girls seemed to have thought it to be a good idea to attend his class. Now everybody should be here. At least, enough people were for him to start the lesson. Straightening up, he pushed himself away from his desk to stand in front of the class, a smile on his lips. "So, for all those of you who don't know me, I'm Professor Jeremy Zookara." Though, they SHOULD all know him by now. If not, they had been very unattentive throughout the year. Apart from Aaron, obviously. "I hope everybody took one of these." He held up one of the red first-aid kits slightly to emphasize his point. "If not, please do so now." He waited for a moment giving the students a chance to get one if they hadn't already done so. "Now, anybody care to guess what this class is going to be on?" It was probably so obvious he could have just written it on the board but whatever. OOC: Class has now officially started. No chatting or arriving late or you risk losing house points. |

Okay so she obviously wasn't going to be a threat this lesson considering the Professor *Snigger* hadn't actually mentioned anything. Well good. The blonde didn't take too kindly to point deduction, she liked hers how they were. So she was going to work EXTRA hard so she wouldn't give him any further reason to want to talk to her dad or anything... Not that she was stoping him, they SHOULD contact eachother more often, maybe come round their house occassionally *Shifty* Anyway back to the point of the lesson. "Well judging by the red cross thingy on the bear and the box thing, I'm guessing it has something to do with first aid" which in her opinion was totally useless when you had magic but she would give it a go anyway. |
He...grinned? Yes, he grinned when the Professor answered Salander's question. No Saylen. Yes! Now Treyen was the smiling usual self, and straightened up in his seat, red box at hand, and eyes on it still. A girl close by answered Zookara's question, sort of, and said something about first-aid...that's it! That's when he remembered the red box, or rather the white cross painted on the red box. "Band aids!" he shouted, when his mind made the connection. When you learned to skate with muggles you were bound to a few cuts and whatnot. The boy blushed only a bit and then raised his hand, "I mean, the muggle way of treating injuries?" yes, that was better, and in a perfectly normal tone. |
Eino quickly took a first-aid kit and returned to his seat. He examined the box and instantly recognized the health symbol, and because this was Muggle Studies he knew that it wasn't going be pertain to magic. "Muggle potions? Or, uh, the equivalent to healing potions in the wizardry world." He answered raising his hand. Do Muggles always carry a little box like this one with them in case they injure themselves? Eino found that very inconvenient. If anything, this class reminded him of how lucky he was to be a wizard, most of the Muggle world and their lifestyle seemed very primitive to him. |

As soon as she sat down, he began class. She raised her hand to answer the question. Lilyana was pretty sure it was going to be first-aid, and hopefully that was what it was, so she didn't answer wrong in front of everyone! Is it first-aid professor? She asked quietly. |
Lexi looked at Professor hot stuff with a look of utter confusion on her face. She had no CLUE what the could be studying that fit into the little red case. She DID spy something written on the teddy's shirt though so she raised her hand and said, "Ummm. Is it something to do with a cross or something.... REd Cross! Is that it?" |

Amy raised her hand "will we be talking about first aid professor?" "or the red cross?" |
!!! Destiny was allowed to have the teddy bear! SWEET! And to think she was going to bum this Muggle Studies lesson.. "Yes!" she exclaimed, waving her arms and the red suitcase over her head as she went to take a seat next to her friends. Placing the case on top of her desk, she glanced around, eyes narrowing at everyone. It was her teddy bear, they best not try and steal it. A nice hit upside the head with the suitcase would teach them all a lesson. Of course she knew who he was! He was Professor..not Zoocarcass. Eeeep! She had his name wrong the WHOLE school year? Oops. At least she never called him that to his face..right? She poked the suitcase a few times as the muggle man spoke and allowed the people that had no suitcase to go get one. Who wouldn't want one, though? Obviously that kid.. Raising her hand at the question, she was tempted to roll her eyes at everyone's answers. "We are going on vacation!" And Professor NOT Zoocarcass was nice enough to pack all their belongings already. |
SPOILER!!: proffie! Kurumi's hand rocketed up in the air. "Professor, I believe that we will be learning about how non-magical folk treat injuries and illness?" She smiled and put her hand down. She looked at the teddy bear. "Are we going to practice first aid and bandaging on the teddy bear?" If that was the case, less chance for mummy looking students. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Z and Ms Destiny Salander nodded his head relieved when the Professor said they will have nothing to do with COMC class. "Good to hear Mr Z." because the Slytherin lad really didnt want to have to start worrying about little critters and their nasty teeth. Not for a good long while anyway. He glanced back at his seat and spotted a few more of his friends and-- hey is that Danika? With Alexandra no less. That was a surprise, and a pleasant one at that. He looked at the red kit in his hands when the Professor started asking what the class was gonna be about. He was about to agree with the others about first aid treatment when he heard Destiny's reply. The Slytherin lad burst out laughing "Yeah Professor, are we going to the Swiss Alps? Learn a thing or two on how to treat frost bite?" he grinned showing off the red kit that notably looks like a certain flag.... |
Ooooh the two Durmstrang girls were joining the class, Mia wondered if maybe Nik might come and join in too? At the Professor's question Mia raised her hand in the air. "We're going to play doctors and nurses." Hmm, she really hoped that Nik joined this class. "And we're going to practice on Mr teddy bear." Yep that's what they were going to do. Mia remembered playing doctors and nurses as a kid and she had practiced on dolls and teddy bears too. It was cool that Professor Zookara could get in touch with his inner child like that. |

Turning back to smile at the whole class again he nodded as he confirmed what most of them had already said, "So, as some of you mentioned, this lesson will be on Muggle first aid. And no, sorry, we won't be practicing on the teddy. These bags here-" Jeremy held one of them up. "-are called First-Aid Kits." Could he trust them with not throwing stuff at each other? Yes. "You may now open them, however, don't take anything out yet. Just look at them. Some of you might be able to identify some of the items, but we'll get to that in just a moment." Hopefully they wouldn't be too occupied with looking inside to look at him. Or at least listen to him. "First, I'd like to know where and when it is absolutely essential for Muggles to have one of these along?" |
SPOILER!!: no teddy professor?! Kurumi frowned a bit. Playing doctor with a teddy bear would have been so much fun! "First aid kits help us, erm, them cope with emergencies before they can head to a hospital...if that is needed," she paused for a moment remembering how her mother was very avid about keeping their's stocked at all times...despite her father being a wizard. Maybe they wouldn't have to keep up that charade anymore? "Some kits are designed for specific activities, such as hiking, camping, or boating...you never know when something could happen. So first aid kits help make them feel safe and calm because they are ready for almost anything." |
Aww no doctors and nurses? Booooooo!!! Mia raised her hand again, "A first aid kit is a good idea when you are going camping because you never know what can happen while you are out in the bush. They are good for minor injuries like cuts, burns and even sprains but they won't help against a snake bite." Especially those big brown ones they have back home in Australia. |
Hehe Destiny... Just... *snicker* Shaking her head, the Slytherin chuckled quietly before going back to tapping her fingers on the red box thingy and listening to everyone's answers. First aid? Well that didn't sound like CPR to her. Aw well, didn't matter anyways. What did matter, was how they were going to learn how to poke and prod people like those evil muggles did!! MEEP! Maybe they could get revenge on the one that Destiny met? Yea, that sounded like a plan. Opening the red box slowly, just in case anything jumped out at her, the Slytherin stared at the contents before looking up. Question to be answered! "With them all the time?" she asked more then said after raising her hand, an eyebrow following it's movements. "I mean, it's not like they have a wand to heal themselves if something happens..." And seeing what the muggles did, their lives obviously were in danger allll the time. They made OTHER lives in danger with their poking and prodding duckter stuff and...muggle ways. Pffft. |
Eino opened and studied the items in the first-aid kit as the Professor had directed. Some of the items were familiar, and they all seemed practical and easy to use. Eino tried to think of places and occasions where people were most likely to injure themselves, so after raising his hand he shared them with the class. "The kitchen or any working station, like a workshop." Those were common places where sharp objects, such as knives, and fire would be used so in case of a cut or a burn first-aid kits would probably come in handy. |
Arya had known what the red box was, and she had guessed that the lesson would be about first aid. She just hoped that they wouldn't be doing any first aid on each other. Hoped lots she did. One hand and brown eyes were on the case while the other hand had raised to answer the question. Mia had already said camping so... "Its good to have one in your car, in case something happens. Like getting into a accident." She rummaged through the kit, it didn't really have enough stuff to help in an accident though. "A bigger kit though. One made special for having in your car." |
Lexi opened her case and took a good look at the odd contents. Shaking her head she raised herhand and said, "Yeah. Since they can'tjust heal their injuries like we can I guess they would need one all the time, right. Like around the house, in their automobiley thingies, and maybe a small one on their person, right?" She was not sure what most of the stuff inside was even though she was half blood. Her parents would just whip out their wands or brew a potion when something happened to her. |
First aid, huh? Vashti totally knew it. It was pretty obvious, of course. But they weren't practicing on the teddy bear? Who were they practicing on then? Themselves? Each other? :shifty: She raised her hand to offer an answer. "Some schools keep a first aid kit in their classrooms," she said. "Especially for little kids who can get hurt pretty easily. Though science labs in high schools and all often have a first aid kit too." AMong other things. Because some high schoolers were totally Well, some of her high-school-age cousins were anyway. |
Yes! Destiny liked the way Salander thought. Switzerland, she would have never thought about going to vacation there. Actually, she had no idea where Switzerland was, so..yeah. She nodded her head when the Professor asked where she wanted to go, and he agreed with Salander, too! Switzerland it was! She'd bring HER teddy bear. Maybe they would take those muggle airplates or whatever they were called. After all, they were in Muggle Studies class, so they would travel the muggle way. Airplates. How did they stay in the air? Just about to ask, Not Zoocarcass spoke and..first AID? She thought..no vacation? FROWN. Laying the box down flat on the desk, she opened it up and she had no idea what any of the stuff was, but she knew the answer to the question! Of course she did. Destiny was GREAT at this class. "You should keep one on you at all times." 'Cause, yeah. He had made her believe she was going on vacation. |
Salander flicked the silver clasp and lay the kit open. Bandages, gloves.... pretty standard first aid stuff. They should make this a requirement for COMC class he mused, speaking of which "Muggles bring this with them when traveling is involved, like on an airplane or a ship, or any instances when they do not have quick access to a hospital like when they venture out to the wilderness." Or Forbidden Forests... |

Aleksandra didn't know what the red box was for, and frankly didn't care. She would never have any use for muggle items, and didn't feel the need to know about them. Though she would obviously be learning about this thing. Muggle first aid. Ah. Interesting. Not really since she could honestly care less about the methods muggles use to go about healing themselves, especially since they were of no use to her. Still, she had the professor to look at, so the lesson wasn't a complete waste of time. That and the students responses proved just as amusing as they had in the other lessons. Especially that young Slytherin girl. Amusing the child was. Sandra riffled through the little red box with disinterest. Eyes dancing around as answers were given. |
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was red! The colour of Gryffindor! Go Lion's! House Pride aside, Patroclus piped up an answer, "Well to be honest Sir, you could take it to Switzerland! Switzerlnad is known for it's mountains, and rock climbing and mountaineering are pastimes that can be frought with injury so, having a Kit with you would be a wonderous idea"........for a muggle, Patroclus had his mumma his climbing injuries! "You could also take one to a sporting game, so cuts and bruises occur there too!" Patroclus had to surpress the urge to scream out, YOU'RE OUT!....but thought better of it! |
