Like shopping centres." Because that sounded like it would be quite good. "So if someone does get hurt, they can make them better or something?"

Jeremy simply nodded when Kurumi explained the basic use of a first-aid kit but only commented on her last suggestions. "Yes, correct, Kurumi, well done." He smiled at her before turning around to write 'hiking, camping, boating' onto the board behind him with his chalk...yes, he was obviously doing things the Muggle way.

They seemed to be disappointed by the fact that they weren't going to be practicing on the teddy bear. Hmm...maybe he should use something else instead of the dummy he had prepared after all. If they were all so fixated on the teddy. "Correct, Mia, it can be very useful when going camping." Then she mentioned snake bites and that a first aid kit wasn't going to help with snake bites. "Do you happen to know what a Muggle is supposed to do when bit a snake?" He inquired with a smile. Maybe she did.

Clever, very clever. "True, Evelyn but this is quite bulky, don't you think? It would be very exhausting to carry on you all the time. So, while you are right, it would be best if Muggles were to carry them with them all the time, they don't." Normally there was somebody around though who had some basic first-aid items on them. Jeremy nodded at the Ravenclaw's answer with an approving smile and turned to add them his suggestions to the list on the board. "Yes, correct. Well done. I'm sorry, what was your name again?" He asked upon turning back to face the class again.

Finally somebody mentioned the cars. "Good thinking, Arya. It's an essential thing to have in a car in case you are involved in an accident or witness one. In some countries it is even compulsory to have one in one's car." Jeremy explained with a smile after adding it to the list.

Yes, not being able to heal themselves that easily was one of the disadvantages of being a Muggle. However, they also couldn't hurt each other in the way Wizards could. "Yes, absolutely correct, Lexi. It is very advisable to have at least basic first aid items around the house for any sort of household incidents." Like cutting oneself with a knife when preparing lunch.

Of course, schools. Especially those where they taught Chemistry or Sciences in general. "Yes, thanks for mentioning that, Vashti. It is absolutely essential to have first-aid equipment around in schools." Not only in high school...also in primary schools, in case somebody ran against the closed door or something.

..."Me?" Somehow, that coming out of Destiny's mouth made it slightly discomforting. "Why would I want to keep this one on me all at all times?" Jeremy asked cautiously, a small confused smile playing around his lips. Was that a threat? But he had given her the teddy so he had absolutely no idea what was going on.

With a nod at Salander Jeremy turned to add 'Airplanes', 'Ships' and 'Wilderness' to the list. "Yes, well done, Salander."

"Yes, like I told Evelyn, it is quite difficult to have one of these-" He inclined his head at the red first-aid kit on his desk. "-with you all the time. But most Muggles do have basic things with them, for example band-aid for minor cuts." He smiled at Cass before turning towards another student.

Giggle!Snort. Jeremy chuckled at Patroclus' answer about Switzerland. He was nonetheless right, though. "Yes, absolutely correct. Though, let's just go with...climbing, okay? Switzerland isn't the only country with mountains." He winked at him and had had just been about to turn to call on another student raising their hand when he heard the Gryffindor adding something. "Yes, thank you, sport events should definitely be added to our list."

Turning to the Ravenclaw (So didn't have Hufflepuff at first. xD) Jeremy smiled with a nod and turned for the final time to add it to the list. "Yes, shopping centers would be a good place to have a first-aid kit." he agreed before turning to resume with the lesson.

"Now, we have several suggestions on where and in what situations Muggles need a first-aid kit." Jeremy gestured towards the list on the board behind him. "Without actually taking any items OUT of the bag, can some of you identify some of the items? Please only name one each." He took his chalk again, ready to copy down the students' answers on the board in a separate list. *

*OOC: This is a basic first-aid kit, so don't go too wild on what the kit contains. xD

What? First aid? Well, that would be rather useful, IF you had no wand, or were unable to use magic at some point. She honestly did not know if Sandra would find it sort of interesting, and Danika was probably right about that, given the look on her friend's face.

The young woman raised an eyebrow, after all it had been Sandra the one to point out their attendance to this lesson. The least she could do was pretend a small amount of interest, even if not for the class, then for the Professor.

Knowing nothing about this, and being the little eager for knowledge Durmstranger, Danika was actually very interested in finding out about what do the contents in the little box work for.

And that's when the Professor started to point out the importance of said things. In all fairness, she didn't know what any of those were, that's why she kept quiet...waiting for them to answer.

Treyen's hand was raised and then he said, "Band-aids" because that was pretty much the name he knew from what First-aid kits should be able to contain.

And since it was the most common item..then...that's what he said, yes.

"Ice Pack, Its one that you crush to activate and then you place it onthe needed places. Most muggles use it for broken bones or swelling" she said.

Rhea needed to snap out of it and stop drooling, well, techically she wasn't drooling drooling, but she was sure she would soon if she kept gaping at the professor like she was. They shouldn't allow professor who are that good looking to teach, it was distracting!!

Right, red box thing, open it. She looked across at what everyone was doing and opened hers too. Meh, she hated muggle stuff, because she just didnt know anything about it and this was her NEWTS year for crying out loud, she needed to learn about stuff cars and vlendes and whatamagits. Staring at the professor was not helping.

Rhea needed to answer so that the professor at least thought she knew something or another about first Aid kits and whatever.

"Umm..muggles may need them if"...think Rhea.."if they fall off a ridercyle (thats what they call those things right?) and they aren't wearing protective pads, so bandages"

Amy opened the first aid kit and peered insideShe observed all the contents before raising her hand "there are tweezers here, for if you might get a splinter and can't get it out, or if you step on a piece of glass"

"Gauze," She replied with her eyes glued to the items in the box. The temptation to remove the items from the box was strong. "For cuts that are too big for band aids to cover." Her legs swung idly as she leaned closer to the box, hands giving the red box a good shake. Maybe something would...fall out. Heh.

"There is a small thing of soap," Kurumi said poking it with her finger. It looked like her box contained a small plastic bottle of liquid soap, but others contained a bar of it. "It is used to clean smaller wounds once the bleeding has stopped."

Her eyes began scanning the room. She really didn't want to end up looking like a mummy by the end of class...

Marie opened her kit and looked in it. The first thing she seen was some tape. "This kit has tape in it." she said raising her hand. Hmm, must be used to keep on those bandage things.

Josh was yawning. Yes, he was sleepy all over again and he had been sleeping in another class. *yawn* And he did not care what Muggles had in first aid kits. Actually he did not care what Muggles or anyone did right now all he cared was to sleep well yet it was almost impossible in this class while everyone spoke about first aid stuff. *yawn*

So maybe, since he could not sleep, he could answer this question. ''What about scissors, sir?'' he asked yawning again with a careless expression on his face ''To cut those bandages and...''
''...tape.'' he finished eyeing the Slytherin girl. Hmm. Was not she Evan's friend? Maybe she knew where that coward snake was hiding himself. ''Psst...psst'' he whispered throwing a little piece of parchment to the girl to have her attention. ''Hey, Marie!''

"My name's Eino Uronen, sir." He replied politely, then proceeded to note all of the answers the Professor had approved.

He looked at his first aid kit and saw that stick with a little numbered lines, and recognized it as the muggle device that can tell a person's body temperature. "There is also a, umm, thermo-meter in here, Professor." He said with his hand raised.

Mia nodded her head at the Professor, she so knew all about how to treat snake bites. "First of all you are NOT to wash the bitten area because it is important to retain the venom for identification of the snake. The next step is to place a bandage around the infected area making sure that is it firm but not too tight so as to cut off the circulation. Extend the bandage over as much of the area as possible so as to slow the venom in the bloodstream. Make sure to keep the patient as immobile as possible and most importantly get help." She beamed at the Professor happy that she knew something worthwhile.

She then opened her first aid kit and looked inside it. "There is a tube of antiseptic cream in here." Which was good for cuts and burns but like she said before it wouldn't save you from a snake bite.

But then Professor NOT Zoocarcass was asking why, and he probably thought she was threatening him and if she threatened him he wouldn't let her have the teddy bear and she WANTED IT!

"You know, you teach about muggle things. They can be dangerous." Good save..or..Destiny thought so at least.

Looking through her suitcase..or first aid kit, she listened to the things the other students named so she knew what not to name. Well, that was practically everything! And those things in those tubey looking things, she had no idea what they were, so she couldn't name them. Of course she could have called them those tubey looking things, but she doubted the Professor would have wrote that answer up on the board.

"There are gloves in here."

Ohh..Mia mentioned those tubey looking things

Salander peered into the red kit again. Band-aids have been mentioned, so have bandages... Ah-ha! "Antiseptics Professor, like alcohol swabs." Yeah, must be real important that Muggles would painfully apply that first.

Daisy raised her hand and said "Professor wouldn't there be like a tape of some kind?"

Lexi raised her hand and squinted down at the tube of stuff and said, "Ummm...antibotic ointment? I think that is what this says. Is that like a potion they put on scrapes and cuts. 'Cause it says something about scrapes and cuts here." She was not sure what the stuff was or what purpose it held...

"Well, how about triangular bandages?" Cass asked, "You know, in case the person broke their arm or something..."

Marie was sitting there listening to what everyone thought would be in the cases when something hit her. Like literally hit her in the head. She looked over to see who was trying to get her attention. Oh, it was only Josh. "Hey Josh, what's up?" Why was he throwing things at her to get her attention? He pretty much never talks to her in classes... or anywhere actually. So what was so special about today?

What was in the thing? Finn looked at it, as he listened to what the other students were saying. Well they were saying pretty much the obvious things, but then there was that one thing. "Theres something that looks like....safety pins?" He suggested, then wandering what they might be used for. "Maybe....there are used to secure the bandages together?" Because it wouldn't be very effective if the bandage were to fall off now really.

Emmy's hand shot up at last, "There should be a tube of antiseptic cream, sir." Leastways, there was in her mum's one at home...

Though he turned out to be successful at getting the Slytherin girl's attention, the Gryffindor threw another piece of parchment at her. Bahahaha. That was fun, throwing things at people. Yet he had to be careful since Marie was one of the sneaky-she-snakes. With a cheeky grin, Josh nodded when she greeted him back ''Nothing much. I was just trying to sleep but its kinda impossible to do so in this class.'' Meh... ''Anyway...i wanted to ask you : do you know where Evan is? I need to kick him'' then when he pronounced the last word he threw another piece of parchment at her.

What was that boys problem? She had already acknowledged him yet he continued to throw parchment at her. She glared at him as if to say, 'Do that again and I will punch you in the nose.' Yeah, she wasn't beyond punching someone who messed with her. "Why would I tell you that? You can just find him on your own if you're going to be mean to him." And then he was throwing more parchment at her. "Do that again and I'LL be kicking YOU!" She hissed. Seriously, did he really think she was going to help him when he was throwing things at her? Not that she would ever help him in being mean to Evan.

Maybe she should have just let Lawson find him tearing up his house over then summer.

Evelyn really was actually fascinated with the contents in the extremely red Gryffindor colored box, though her expression showed she was rather bored and uninterested. Muggles had to do all of this without a wand and by hand. Did people even realize how long that would take them!? It was a wonder that the muggle population wasn't smaller.

Ignoring the first piece of paper being thrown that she saw out of the corner of her eye, the Slytherin began poking the items in the box with her wand. Just to make sure they weren't like, going to jump out at her or anything. And the fact that it was just fun to poke stuff. However, with the next few parchments and hisses of whispers, Evelyn looked up and around to see where they were coming from. Meep! TEEHEE! JOSH!

...Whaaa?! Nu uh. That was the best thing to say. Especially sitting right next to her. Raising a brow at Marie, Evelyn shifted in her seat so she could get comfortable while...glaring. Lightly of course. No kicking Josh!

The snake girl was angry! He could clearly see it in her eyes as she glared at him as if she was about to attack him. And that made the boy grin wider as he tried hard not to laugh out loud. He was in a class after all and it would be like asking for detention. However though the girl looked quite annoyed and literally threatened him, Josh tore more pieces of parchment and put them on the desk while the Slytherin girl was answering to his request. Well...of course, he did not think Marie would be happy to tell him about Evan's whereabouts just because he wanted to kick him. But he wanted to try his chance anyway. ''All right'' so he said agreeing to the part that he should find the Slytherin boy himself. This girl was not going to help him so he had no problem with annoying her further.

''Then i'll find him myself and kick him well. And believe me, Marie, he is the real meanie'' Slowly taking his wand he levitated all the pieces of parchment on his desk and sent them flying towards the girl. Hehehehehehehehe! Now there were pieces of paper in her pretty blonde hair. He turned away to hide his laughter and it was when he caught Evelyn's look. Haha. Marie could not kick him. Evelyn would not let her, would she?
