Muggle Studies Final-Practical Part
 
As soon as everybody had handed in their written exam papers, Jeremy went to join them in the adjacent room which was full of...first-aid dummies whose faces were all covered with scarves. There were enough for each of the students to pick one.

With a smile Jeremy turned to face the class. "Well, I guess the task is rather self-explanatory. You happen to stumble upon those 'people' lying on the ground." With a small grin he hastened to add, "Not literally, of course." Heh. "Remember each of the steps we covered in class. You do not have to call for an ambulance, of course, though." Obviously. "No wands allowed. Good luck."

OOC: Please RP your character performing the required task. I will be posting occasionally, for instance what is hidden by the scarves. *whistles* So maybe do not post everything in one post, however, you may of course do that too. ;]Okay, so I don't really have time atm to post a lot, sorry. >.< You can come up with your own ideas as to what is under the scarves...please keep the SS rules in mind, however, and if you use other people's characters' faces then I suggest asking them for permission first. ;]
This part is worth up to 10 points, mainly based on creativity and of course task completion. Deadline for both the written and the practical part of the final is November 23rd at 7am GMT. I cannot accept any late submissions as I won't be able to add the points anymore. Classroom Rules apply here obviously.

Seeing the dummies lying on the floor their faces covered with scarves, Mia decided to get into the spirit and she let out a loud gasp as she moved over to the dummy whose face was covered with a bright purple scarf.

Could they keep the scarf as a souvenir?

She dropped to her knees beside her dummy. "Hello Sir. Can you hear me?" Mia counted to ten before trying again. When she failed to get a response, it was a dummy of course she wasn't going to get a response, she then looked to see if he was breathing by checking to see if his chest was moving.

Noticing that it wasn't, Mia placed her ear over the dummy's mouth and listened for any signs of breathing.

Still nothing.

But just to make sure, she lightly placed her hand on the dummy's chest to feel any movement.

Nothing again.

Mia moved to the dummy's head and slowly took the scarf off his face.

Chloe was a bit taken aback as she entered the room and saw something that looked like people lying motionless with a scarf over their heads. She gasped as she approached them for the task at hand as stated by the professor. She heard him speak a bit of sarcasm in his voice and when she looked a little closer she she realized why seeing the people were dummies. She breathed a sigh of relief. She then aproached one of the dummies adorning a bright red scarf. she approached the him and said, "Sir; can you here me? Not hearing a responce she check it's hand for pulse. She heard nothing. She placed her ear to the dummy's chest as extra precaution. Still she heard nothing. She wondered if their may be a reason the dummy was sdorning a scarf. She slowly started to remove it hoping it may reval something more of what was expected of them.

Rex walked into the practical part of the final. He sees a dummy lying around in there with a scarf over it's head. "Can you hear me, mam?" Rex asked her. There seemed to be no response from her. Rex noticed the woman not moving. What is his next move as a muggle? He could take out his muggle cell phone and call 911 for help. This might take a longer time than to help the victim immediately.
Rex again asked if she could hear him. No response. He then took the woman's pulse
Nothing. He checked her chest for breathing. Nothing.

Sighing and rolling her eyes, Evelyn dragged her feet over to one of the dummy like figures on the ground. Hearing others already starting on their assignment, the Slytherin sighed dramatically once more before looking down at her own. Really? How were they...

Ugh.

Well, at least the thing looked to have almost a Slytherin type scarf on. Greenish, silver, blue, plaid, thing. Taking a step closer, Evelyn crossed her arms, not really wanting to do this. "Umm, yea...dude...you awake?" she muttered quietly, looking around. No one heard her right? GOOD!

Obviously the thing wasn't going to move. Pffft. Grimacing, and resisting the urge to whine, the fourth year reluctantly turned back to her 'not really life like' dummy, and inched her foot towards the scarf. Whyyyy was it covering the things head? Hmmm!? Well she was going to find out! Scarf, you sha'll be moved!

No. Walnuts.

This was not the kind of practical exam Destiny was expecting. She had her heart set on walnut cracking and giving a dead dummy person GBD CPR was the last thing she wanted to do. If it wasn't for the sake of her 'education', she would have left the room the way she came in. Taking a breath deep enough to resuscitate each and every dummy in the classroom, she shuffled her way over to the nearest one.

He just so happened to be wearing a blue scarf. Hehe. She would secretly name him Noel. Maybe it would be easier to help him.

Kneeling down beside Noel her dummy, she staaaared at him for a second, remembering that she did not have gloves on her and she actually had to talk to the thing. How funny. Her mother always told her not to speak to things that wouldn't speak back because people would think she was crazy, and now she HAD to speak to something like that? Way to confuse a person.

Scooting her self closer, she leaned in to whisper, "Hey, can you hear me?" She didn't really expect an answer, and if she did get one, she would have been terrified. But, since there was no answer, she moved her eyes towards his chest and..there was no breathing! "Sweet Merlin!" she exclaimed, starting to unwrap the scarf from his face. "Don't you dare die on me Noel dummy man!"

Lara entered the room hoping that the practical part will be as good as the writing. She looked as she saw dummies on the ground, she made her way towards one of them as she was told.

She sat on her knees as she eyed the dummy, well if her brother was here she would have said that it’s a prank and this person is going to jump and scare her! However the Professor would never do this besides this is an exam so it was impossible.

It didn’t need lots of thinking , Lara took the dummy’s hand and checked for pulse , but as it’s a dummy there was no pulse! Then Lara put her head on his chest -considering the dummy is a man- she wanted to check the man’s heart and breathing . After that she looked at the man’s scarved face and thought of taking the scarf, she wasn’t really eager to do it in case there was anything creepy under it, but again it is an EXAM and the Professore is right here!

Melanie wasn't sure whether to be relieved or disappointed at the sight of the dummies lying on the ground. She was pretty sure she knew what to do, but she didn't really want to try CPR on a dummy and seriously doubted it would wake up when she prodded at it. Oh well, though. Carefully stepping around some of the other students and their dummies, Melanie made her way over to one the dummies that wasn't taken.

She stared down at it for a moment or so before taking a few steps closer and bending down a little. "Hey, you." Yes, you right there with the plastic limbs. "Can you hear me?" If the dummy could, it didn't show it. "I repeat. Can you hear me?" she asked awkwardly, cupping her hand over her ear. Melanie didn't hear any sort of response, though.

Not the least bit surprised that the dummy didn't answer her, Melanie poked it lightly... And then again.

There was no reaction whatsoever.

So, now to check and see if it was breathing. She lowered herself to her knees and uncoiled the yellow scarf from around it's head, wondering why it was there to begin with. Only one way to find out.

Moving on to the practical part Rene walked into a scetion with dummy bodys that lay quietly on the floor. Some of the other students had already chosen there dummy and had began the procedures but not Rene she was taken with shock as she entered the room.

Standing there for amont only to re focus. Clearing her shock she walked over to a dummy with a green scarf over its and sat on her knees. "Sir, Can you hear? Say something or move your fingers.'' Nothing happend and she didnt hear anything. trying again. "Can you hear me Sir?" No response. Placing her fingertips on his neck to check for a pulse and then on his wrist to check but there was nothing. FIGURES. Placing her hand on his chect to fell if he was breathing but agian nothing. On last thing she put her head near his mouth to check for breathing. Nothing as always. Looking around to make sure he didnt have any serious wounds, which it looked like he had a laceration to his left leg but if he wasnt breathing that wouldnt be a big deal.

After having completed the written portion of the exam, Eino followed the Professor to the practice room, where he would complete the practical portion. He walked in his eyes widened and his jaw dropped as he saw them.THERE WERE DEAD PEOPLES EVERYWHERE!! EH-VUH-REE--oh they're dolls. Eino placed his bag down and claimed one of the dummies. He remember that he had to call for help, but first he had to check if the dummy was unresponsive. Uh, of course it would be, so should he skip that part and put band-aids on it? Kneeling, Eino took the dummy's hand and said, "Hello-- oh, sir your hand is awfully cold! Oh, and can you hear me?" He waited but nothing happened. "Oh, how silly of me!" Of course it wouldn't respond with a scarf covering his mouth... and his airway. He removed the scarf and placed it next to him. While holding the dummy's hand Eino remembered to check its pulse, but it was dead.

He walked through the door, and oh, lookit! More dummies! Aha. At least he sort of remembered last lesson, but it was too long ago that he had problem remembering the specifics. Oh, well, common sense, then.

He took a dummy for himself, which was what Zookara intended, no?

Hmmm, why the scarf? "Excuse me, Mr. Dummy, you alright there?" he asked, as he poked the dummy. Sigh. As if the dummy was ever going to say a word! Well, let's pretend the 'real person' didn't say a word. What was for him to do next? Mmmhmmm, check for some pulse, right? And to see if he's breathing. Because his dummy was totally a 'He'.

If neither of those things worked out good -he wasn't trying them yet-, then there was always the chance of...CRP...what was it called? What was it called? OH! CPR! Right, because that was the class was about.

Emmy started, as she saw all the bodies littering the room. Then, looking closer, she breathed a sigh of relief - they were just dummies!
She approached one who was wearing a purple scarf - despite the fact it was practically summer...
She prodded it's shoulder. "Sir? Are you all right?"

After giving it time to say either "Yes, I'm fine, so buzz off!" or "No, of course I'm not!", she looked it over, checking for visible wounds or broken bones. Nada. Then, she put her ear near it's mouth, to see if she could hear or feel any breathing. Nada.
Next, she pickedup it's left wrist, checking for a pulse, and also checked it's throat - again for a pulse.

There were no apparent signs of life, so she considered her options... She could; a) perform CPR. b) put Nigel in the recovery position and hope. Or c) call Professor Zookara.
Presumably c) was out anyway, even though that would be her natural course of action - trust someone who knows what they're doing! So, a) or b)...?

As she toyed with her options, she began to absent-mindedly twiddle the scarf on Nigel's face. Why would it be covering his face, she wondered. Should she remove it? Yes, it might help her to save him! Slowly, she began to pull the lovely purple scarf away from the dummy, already beginning to dread what she might find underneath...

Rex took the red scarrf off the lady'd face. Rex thought to himselg, got it now. Rex again checked her pulse, nothing. This time he put his hands on her chest,comprssing the chest lightly and breathing into the victim's mouth . More xompressions, and more mouth to mouth rexucitation. No heartbeat or breathing. Rex again did the same manevuers, he saw the lady's chest srart to have a heartbeat and breathing is coming back to normal. Feat accomplished.

After checking to see if the man would respond and coming to the conclusion he wasnt breathing and didnt have a pulse she decided the only thing left to do was to preform CPR.

First she would need to pull the scarf off. Slowly pulling the scarf off bit by bit to reveal the face. Seeing that his face was a little rough probably happened when he got the laceration to his leg. Checking again to see if he was breathing she tilted the head and lifted the chin. Checking his air ways to make sure it was being blocked (it wasn't) she was ready to preform CPR. Placing her hands int the center of the chest, pumping 30 times then bending down to give two breathes, 30 pumps two breathes.....

Kita walked through the door and looked around. There were... dummies littering the floor. There were so many that it looked as though there would be enough for one each. She walked around to find one in particular and decided to choose the man who... was that a white scarf tied around his head? Why would a scarf be tied around his head? Weird.

Realising that this was first aid, Kita looked around the man to check for danger. "Nope, nothing dangerous here..." she said, knowing fully well that she'd come across as mad. But that is how she had learnt this. She approached the man's head and bent down slightly. "Hello!" she said, "Can you hear me?" She bent down fully and shook his shoulder. "Sir?" she asked, "Can you hear me, sir?" She tried to resist the urge to say 'Mr Dummy'.

"Ok, so you're not answering me," she said, "I'm just going to check your breathing now." She bent his head back a little. She bent her head down so that her left ear was near his mouth and so that she could see his chest for any signs of breathing. Counting down, she realised that he wasn't breathing. Oh dear!

Kita sat up and frowned a little. "Right..." she said, "So i'm going to check your pulse now..." She took his right wrist and tried to find his pulse. Nope, nothing there either. This was bad.

She put his wrist down and realised what she had to do. Quite simple it was. Yeah, the scarf was quite obvious now. "I'm going to take away this scarf around your head now," she said, fumbling with it. Why she was shaking, she didn't know.

30 pumps then two breathes she continues to do CPR on her dummy. Finally, after a few moments, he was breathing. "Sir please stay still, and let me explain." she said calmly "You must have fallen and knocked the wind out of you, you stopped breathing. I have preformed CPR and now you are breathing. You have a laceration on your leg and the back of your head but its nothing to worry im here to help." grabbing the gloves, swabs, alcohol wipes and everything she needed. After cleaning his wounds and making sure he was not bleeding thru the gaze taped to it, She was done.

Underneath the scarf was exactly what Melanie thought would be underneath the scarf: The unattractive, plastic face of the dummy. Shrugging her shoulders, Melanie came to the conclusion that the scarf probably had to do something with the dummy's theoretical injury. It was a dummy after all. Maybe it tried to eat the scarf and accidentally strangled itself with it instead.

Feeling a little silly, Melanie felt for a pulse on it's wrist and then leaned down to listen for breathing. There was none, disappointingly... which meant she would have to give it CPR. Melanie was not looking forward to it, either. She frowned thoughtfully, taking a few moments to recall how CPR was done. Then, not wasting any more time thinking about it, Melanie positioned the heel of her hand on the middle of the dummy's chest and put her other hand on top. She interlaced her fingers.

Then she began the chest compressions, all the time keeping a song in her head she'd once heard went to the right rhythm...

Stayin' Alive, anyone? It wasn't too hard to remember considering what CPR was for. It was kinda ironic considering she was attempting to help a dummy wasn't and probably never had been alive, though.

After she thought she had about 30 compressions Melanie propped the dummy's chin up, pinched it's nose together, inhaled and breathed into its mouth. She took another deep breath and did the same thing before starting the chest compressions again. If she felt silly trying to feel for a dummy's pulse earlier she felt absolutely ridiculous trying to get one to breath.

After deciding to remove the scarf and see what ‘s hidden beneath this veil, Lara took a deep breath and removed the scarf, Tadaaa! It wasn’t as bad as she thought, However it was obviously a man who seemed to be absolutely unconscious and in a shock probably! His lips were kind of blue and his skin was absolutely colorless.
Lara’s eyes got bigger as she stared at the poor man ,she totally forgot that he was a dummy! He was so real . Lara thought maybe the Professor told them that it’s a dummy in an attempt to not scare them, and in fact it’s a LIVING PERSON! But what if Lara couldn’t help and the man DIED! “Come on!” Lara whispered to herself “Professor Zookara will never risk people’s life just for an exam!” she convinced herself . But still it’s an exam and she has to work this out!

So enough emotions and let’s help this man out! She had already checked the man pulse and breathing , she looked at the man again and put her hand on his forehead , his temperature was quite normal, she moved his hands and legs and no reaction from our man.
She then put the man’s head on her lap and straightened his head in attempt to see if he can breathe now, she then put her mouth to his ear and said “Hey sir, are you sure you’re not conscious ?!” Lara couldn’t know what else to say to a dummy-man, however nothing happened!

Rex took the red scarf off the dummy. It happened to be Anna Trebuenska from the muggle show "Dancing With The Stars" Rex loved the show, Another one of Rex's crushes. Her red hair matched her red scarf.

As the bright purple scarf slid off the dummy's face, Mia got her first look at what was underneath and she nearly laughed until she remembered that this was supposed to be a serious situation. For the face that had been revealed was one of the clowns that you seen in sideshow alley at a carnival. Maybe it had one of those ping pong balls stuck in it's throat and that's why it wasn't breathing.

Okay she was getting a little bit carried away now.

So now that she had established that her clown dummy wasn't breathing, she checked for a pulse and then tilted the dummy's head back to clear the airways. She knew that she was going to have to start compressions soon otherwise she was going to lose her patient to that great big carnival in the sky.

Right, back to doing the final. Mia stretched her fingers just under the dummy's rib cage until her thumbs were sitting in the centre and then she swung her index fingers up so that they pressed against the breast bone. She then replaced her fingers with the heel of her right hand and then placed her left hand over the top. She interlocked her fingers and pushed down.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 ,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29, annnnd 30.

Mia then moved over to her clown patient's head and she used her left hand to pinch his nose and placed her right hand underneath his neck to hold him in place. She then placed her mouth over the clown's and gave two sharp breaths before starting the compressions again.

She repeated the process of thirty compressions and two breaths another five times until miraculously her clown opened his eyes. Well it didn't really but Mia was going to pretend it did.

"Just lie still Mr Clown help is on it's way."

Yay she had finished.

Well ,the time is going on, and Lara couldn’t know what’s the wrong with this dummy-man .

No pulse ,no breathing , nothing! Lara checked the man’s eyes and they were quite normal, So what to do next? Lara fixed her eyes on the ground trying to remember their class! AND YES how it didn’t come to her mind before?! CPR they spent lot of time discussing it! Lara kinda jumped and leaned on the man as she started to press his heart, yeh it was different at exam ,but still the same as practicing. Pressing and pressing the man’s heart, Lara thought what to do after that! Of course…. now she gotta help him breathing, it was good it’s a dummy after all, not a real person she wasn’t really ready to do it to a real human.

So Lara opened the man’s mouth, took a deep breath but before attempting to do it ,Lara glimpsed something in the man’s throat, she leaned closer to him, opened her eyes widely and cheered “UH HUH!” she said loudly then she noticed her loud tune and lowered it “uh huh! Lara has just found out that there was a piece of muffins stuck in the man’s throat . Looks like our man was having a desert?” she said as she looked at Professor Jeremy giving him a look like nice-one look o____O
Now she knew why he was colorless and his lips were blue.


Lara was pleased she didn’t have to do the CPR thing to the end, now she straightened the man’s face and stretched her hand and put it right into the man’s mouth towards his throat and her fingers on the stuck piece she tried to move it, however it was really stuck , BUT nothing is going to get between Lara and her piece of muffins ! NEVER! Muahaha!


Finally getting a grip on this piece Lara was able to get it out successfully ! woohaa!
After getting it out she held it above and examined it “Oh , obviously he didn’t chew it well!” she nodded as she put it on the ground. Looking at the man whose color started to get back to normal and his lips weren’t blue! Lara was so proud of this she wanted to give the man a tight hug, but no that wouldn’t be proper at all!

As Chloe started to untie the scarf she saw one off the ugliest faces. It looked like the dummy before her was a burn victim. Upon a closer look Chloe realized it did not look like all that bad of burns but it certainly affected the appearace of this poor guy. They looked like they had been treated before (according to what Chlow had seen watching medical shows at home), it was just the disgusting blisters that were left. Chloe looked in her medical kit and found some aloe vera. She was sure this would help in the healing process. Chloe applied some white latex gloves. She then remembered this guy was not breathing and treating his burns was gonna have to wait. Chloe quickly leaned over the man and placed her hands just under his chest, her left on top o her right. Push, nothing. She waited a couple secconds. Push, nothing. Chloe tried this in succession a couple more times and heard a breathe come from the dummy. What? Wait, should have expected that, yes I did it. She looked toward the face of the poor guy and told him, "Sir, you have been on a bit of an accident but help is coming. In the mean time I can help you with the burns on your face. Are you alergic to aloe? Chloe saw the dummy shke it's head no and then she quickly dipped her gloved fingers into the aloe. She then applied it to his burns. "Alright, all finshed sir. Help shall be here shortly." and with that Chloe knew she was done, she smiled knowing she had done her best.

The Slytherin had made sure she had got here early and prepared, just cause you know, it was Jeremy. Professor Jeremy *eyebrows*

Hmm.. Dummy. No wait it was SUPPOSED to be a person right? Kinda hard to believe when really, it wasn't real and it didn't even look that human, plus it had a ruddy green scarf over its face so she couldn't actually see his/her face. Hang on wouldn't that be a precaution in the first place, the material could be restricting their ability to breath. Eh might as well take that off first then right?

Cool as a cucumber...

The seventeen year old removed the scarf from his face and was surprised to see JEREMY?!?

Whaaaaaat? *Giggle!Snort* RAWR

"Can. You. Hear. Me?" she asked, dummy!Jeremy very clearly, pronouncing every syllable like she was talking to someone partially deaf, which she might have for all she knew, except the Professor wasn't deaf, but oh well. She looked around to see any other precautions, that weren't the scarf she found earlier, which of course there wasn't. Good. Cause that would just be incoveniant.

*Poke*

No he definitely wasn't answering her. HMPH. Fine then! "Well if your not going to make some response, I guess I'd better see whether you breathing" you know, for him to die on her, even if it wasn't really him because he was stood at the front of the classroom, well that would just be tragic wouldn't it? She leaned over him to see whether he was actually breathing, which before long she found out he was not. Oh faaantastic. Grr.. Pulse next right? The Blondie placed two fingers, not her thumb because that had a pulse of its own, on dummy!Jeremy's wrist and discovered no pulse whatsoever. She tilted his head back, in an atempt at getting some breath out of him at all, whilst also removing his jacket.

Guess it was all down to CPR

She interlocked her fingers together, pushing down hard on his chest, 30 times exactly, in an effort to get a heartbeat out of him, which she didn't. Oh well, guess it was down to the breaths now then wasn't it.....? :shifty:

RAAAWR.. *Cough*

She blocked his nose so that no Oxygen could escape and covered her mouth over Dummy!Jeremy's and blew in Oxygen, twice. Luckily she only had to do this once and he was already breathing by his own again. Or maybe it was unlucky for her.

Hmm...

"HAI" she grinned down at breathing!dummy!Jeremy.

Ah well, practical over.

Kurumi found herself shaking, once again, at the onset of another one of her finals at Hogwarts. Why couldn't their Muggle Studies final been something related to baseball or drawing stick figures?! She was confident in those fields. Slowly, Kurumi made her way to one of the fallen dummies and stood over it looking down at the pink scarf over its face. Were they supposed to do something with the scarf? Kneeling down, Kurumi took a closer look at the dummy in the same manner a cat sniffs something that is new and unfamiliar.

Wait...had this person suffocated on their scarf?! That seemed rather silly, but Kurumi decided to first remove said scarf. "Excuse me, sir," she said as she pulled off the pink fabric. "Can you hear me?" Not that she really expected it to talk back to her. If it had, she probably would have screamed and run out of the room at top speed. Kurumi didn't pay attention to the face under her scarf at first, but when she noticed the lighting bolt scarf painting, rather poorly, onto the forehead...she felt star struck for a moment.

Pull yourself together! This is a dummy made of plastic. She even poked it in the cheek once for good measure to be sure that it was, indeed, plastic.

Phew...time to save this dummy's life! "Sir?" Kurumi was starting to get involved into the acting aspect of this. She had seen one too many doctor dramas with her brothers. "I am going to have to perform CPR. There is no response." Who was she talking to?

Kurumi took out her cellphone and pretended to call the emergency number. "Hello? Yes, this is an emergency. I have found a fallen man in the woods. He is not breathing and there is no response. Please send help immediately." She then hung up the phone in a rather dramatic fashion and turned her attention back to the dummy. Kurumi then placed the heel of her left hand in the middle of the dummy's chest and her right hand on top of the other with her fingers interlaced. She then pushed down gently, but with a little force, until the dummy's chest had compressed about 5 cm before allowed the plastic to return to its usual potion before repeating. She repeated this 30 times before taking a short pause to talk dramatically to her dummy again.

"Sir, can you hear me now?"

She then rested her ear near his mouth and noise to see if she could hear or feel any breathing. Naturally, nothing. She did an overly dramatic sway of her head to the side and looked up at the ceiling as if she were asking for divine help.

Time for the breathing. Kurumi's stomach turned a bit. Did this count as a kiss? She had never been kissed before...nor had she ever kissed someone before. Was her first kiss going to be stolen from a dummy?! Opening the dummy's mouth a bit, Kurumi then tilted its head upwards a bit so the chin was a little higher in the air and then pinched its nose. She then quickly covered the dummy's mouth with her own and blew in until she saw the chest rise a bit. Repeating this one more time, and no visible change in breathing patterns, Kurumi repeated the chest pushing and breathing again.

Still nothing...was her dummy ever going to start breathing?!

Kurumi repeated the process three more times and still nothing. Now she felt like she was failing and losing the life of her poor dummy. Deciding to try again, she felt tears slowly streaming down her face. "P-p-p-professor," she mumbled still continuing with her CPR routine. "I-I-I don't think he is going to breath again..." She still continued to repeat the process and checked for breathing. If her dummy stayed dead...did that mean she failed Muggle Studies?!

A dead person? Oh noez! Eino to the rescue! He would perform his Muggle magic and BAM! he would resurrect the man! Performing CPR on a dummy didn't seem too bad, but Eino really hoped he would never have to do the same on a real person, especially if they had stinky breath. First things first, call for professional help. "Sooplekoople, please call the Muggle Health Division and warn them were is a man in need of help!" He said to his imaginary friend, unaware that the whole class was present. Then, Eino carefully tilted the dummy's head back as the Professor had demonstrated during class, then he tried to recall the Hufflepuff's performance. With his left hand holding the dummy's head and his right lifting its chin, Eino peeked inside the dummy's mouth and it didn't seem to have any teeth, which wasn't as creepy as the plastic and solid tongue. What a curious doll Muggles play with... He thought to himself. Then he lowered his head closer to the dummy's mouth to check if it was breathing, but, of course, it wasn't. Next he took a few deep breathes then inhaled, lowered his head, and blew into the dummy two times. He was startled by the dummy's moving chest, which he almost immediately realized it was his own doing. He breathed into it with the utmost care. Next, it was onto the chest compressions. CPR was a curious thing; at one point one is snogging the victim and the next beating its chest. He placed himself facing the dummy's chest, placed the heel of his hands on its chest, and pressed downward. He did this thirty times. Then he breathed into the dummy two more times, slowly and carefully, then repeated the chest compression. Eino performed this cycle eleven times and began to grow tired. He was running out of breath and his arms were aching, but he remembered that CPR was to be performed until professional care showed up, or in this case the Professor told them to stop.

Sigh. He might as well get started as if this was a real person, and lookit! He'd been right all along, his dummy was a he! Or an It, to be more precise, since it was made of plastic, you know.

But, yeah, so, he tried to pretend to be searching for anything that may give away the fact that the dummy could breathe, because that was taught in class, unfortunately, the dummy was not breathing, of course. Well, if he doesn't answer to the poking, and he's not breathing, then he'd need...CRP? RPC? PCR? CPR, of course, he knew that!

Treyen should've read his notes instead of coming entirely unprepared for this. The little he remembered wasn't going to cut it, but he had an idea.

The Huffie boy placed both hands of the dummy's chest and started doing some compression, counting numbers in his head and stopping from time to time to check on the dummy's breathing. It was all the same, though. He could still try one last thing before help came, but as much as liked Zookara's classes there was NO WAY Treyen was kissing this dummy. NO WAY.

He straightened himself up, and shrugged, "Dead" he said, looking at Zookara. Yeah, the dummy was dead, like him for failing.

As her foot scooted the scarf off the dummy's head, Evelyn decided to liven up this acting scene for a second and GASPED loudly while covering her mouth in shock. Oh the horror! IT…IT WAS…

IT WAS PLASTIC! *girlish scream*

Deciding to cut the dramatics early, the Slytherin scoffed and rolled her eyes before going down on her knees and staring at the darn thing. Well, for a plastic dummy, it was alright. It kinda looked like Truebridge in a way, but Truebridge was obviously waaaay better than this thing. Maybe she could call it Mr. T. Seemed suitable enough, in fact, it was brilliant! Well Mr. T, let's see what it going on here.

Resisting the urge to poke it with her wand, the fourth year stared at the dummy for a moment before…poking it's side with her finger instead. "Hello?" she whispered, the word coming out more like a hiss than anything. "Are you alive?" Hmmm? Course it wasn't. Though she was a bit hopefully that the dummy would move, flinch, blink, groan, SOMETHING so she didn't feel stupid talking to a plastic person. Sighing audibly, she stared at its dark red jacket like thing that was supposedly there to make him look more real, but really all it did was remind her of Josh. She should probably hurry up with this so she could go see him before the next final came up.

"Hello?" Poking it once more, Evelyn leaned over the dummy, placing one hand on it's other side to keep herself balanced, and examined the things face. Eyes were closed, skin was cold and shiny, unmoving, and there was no way she was going to do that mouth to mouth CPR thing on a fake plastic person. Besides, who knew what germs or dust could have collected onto it before she got here. However, for a moment, she leaned down even more and turned her head to the side so her ear was next to the fake mouth thing, rubbing it's face and mouth with the hood of it's jacket first just to be sure nothing would jump up and land on her face or anything, just to see if there was any charms or such to make it actually breathe air. No, no air. Well wasn't that a relief. Not that it'd be a relief if this was an actual person but...

Yea...

Sitting back up slightly, she was beginning to wonder if she should actually do the thing where you push on the victim's chest to help them breathe or whatever that does, but...Merlin's beard it was PLASTIC! She couldn't pretend or waste her breath or arm muscles on something that was never going to wake up. Seriously? How could she even get into character!? The dummy was probably hollow on the inside, or made with stuffing of some sort.

Or more plastic.

Unless it had a plastic heart then it really would be dead. Standing up, Evelyn straightened out her uniform shirt and skirt before fixing her socks and turning around to the professor. DRAMATICS TIME! "Professor, I did the best I could do." For a plastic dummy that is. *sniffle* "It seems like Mr. T was gone before I could even got here." Poor Mr. T, he had his whole life ahead of him. Hopefully Miss B wouldn't hunt her down for this. Eesh, definitely don't want that.

*inch...inch* She could leave now right?

Salander was staring at the dummy as he listened to the Professor's instructions. Meh, if it were up to him he would call for an ambulance. No he's not lazy, its just that the poor sap would probably stand a better chance of surviving rather than be treated by him.

But this was a practical so.....

The Slytherin lad took off the scarf from the dummy's face. It looked like.... a dummy. Like one of the crash dummies they use to test cars with. "Professor Z couldnt you find a pretty one for me?" he muttered under his breath. Or at least a dummy that looked female.

He gave the dude dummy a good slap on the shoulder. Oops, that may have been a little too hard. He made an effort to redo it, giving a more gentle tap and spoke under his breath "Dude are you ok..." going through the motions of talking to the "person" to check if he's conscious. He then mechanically proceeded to feel the pulse on the dummy's wrist or feel a breath. He started to feel silly. Of course he wasnt expecting the dummy to actually have a pulse or draw breath. Although he kinda wished it did. That way he's done with test.

He then loosened whatever garments that looked like it constricted the dummy. He began to wonder if this part actually ever help anybody in reality. He tilted the head back slightly to check for anything that might be blocking the air passages. "Nothing blocking the air passages." he stated aloud. Then he started to wince, he knew what the next step was going to be. Why didnt he have a female dummy again?

Bah just do it!

He pressed his lips onto the dummy's mouth and blew in, then shifted towards the dummy's torso quickly pressing his other hand onto his fist and pressed them down on the dummy's chest repeatedly, counting about 5 times before moving back and blowing into the dummy's mouth again. He repeated the motion of pumping the chest with his fist and just as he hovered back towards the dummy's mouth he stopped short, staring at the dummy dude's blank expression. Ok thats it he's done. His lips arent made for dudes, rubber dummies or real ones.

Salander stood up and looked to the other man "Will that do Professor?" Oh you better say yes.....

Gingerly, Emmy removed the scarf, and immediately wished she hadn't, for the face beneath it was painfully familiar. It was her longterm Muggle sweetheart, Sam. Examining his face, she realised he must have been beaten up pretty badly - he was covered in bruises, and blood had trickled from a nasty gash on his temple.
Why him, professor?! she thought angrily, for, truth be told, she was very fond of this Muggle...

She did her best to clean him up, then checked his vital signs once more. Still nothing, no pulse, no breathing, no choice but to give CPR.
Typical, she thought, I've been longing to kiss him for about four years, and now my chance is here - and he won't even know! Could have wished for better circumstances, too...
She could tell he was slipping away fast; if she didn't act soon, it would be too late.

She put her hands gently on his chest, and eventually found the right point. She began compressions, counting in her head. Then she tipped his head back, held his nose with one hand and steadied his chin with the other.
Hesitantly, she breathed in, then bent over to deliver her lungful of precious oxygen.
Several times, she repeated this process, until finally, she heard a tiny breath, the ghost of a heartbeat.
"Sam? Can you hear me?" she hoped he would morph back into a lifeless, faceless dummy, but no such luck. He began to cough, and groan, then finally, he opened his eyes.

Freya walked into the room where the practical part was held. She hoped that they gonna do something like that baseball thing like their first lesson but unfortunately that wasn't inside the room. She saw dummy lying on the floor. 'Why was that dummy lying on the floor?' and then before she could even asked the question, Professor Zookara already gave it to the class. "Okay now what should I do first?" she asked herself.

She walked slowly approaching the dummy. She saw the dummy face was covered by a scarf. She removed the scarf from the dummy face. The dummy looks like a dummy. Well. What was she expected anyway? She tried to poke the dummy several time "Hello there. Can you hear me, Mr.Dummy?" she asked while her finger still poking the dummy. No respond at all. She let out a small sighed. "Mr. Dummy puuuuhhhlease wake up." she poked the dummy again. But the dummy still lay there unmoved. What she had to do next? 'Oh yeah right I have to detect the pulse' she thought. She grabbed the dummy left hand and checked was there still any pulse or not and Thank Merlin that the dummy still had pulse. Okay now she knew that the dummy still had a pulse she had to figure out something to bring the dummy back and FAST..!! "CPR..!!" she said suddenly. Oh how could she forget that?

"Okay. I'm going to do the CPR now Mr.Dummy." she said. She hoped that the dummy didn't eat anything that had a horrible smell. That would be YUCK..!! She took a deep breath before doing the CPR. She used her left hand to pinch his nose and her right hand to hold the dummy mouth. "Here goes nothing" she placed her mouth over the dummy's and gave the dummy a few breath. Then she placed her hand over the dummy chest and began to pump the dummy chest. "Come on dummy. Wakie..Wakie.." she said still pumping the dummy chest. She repeated the process several times. She saw the dummy opened his eyes or she pretend he does. "Welcome back Mr.Dummy." she said. Well. That will do, won't it?

Kita unravelled the scarf and looked down at the dummy's head. Nope... it didn't look weird at all. So why was she so nervous?

"Can you call the ambulance please?" she asked to an imaginary someone who was meant to be standing near her, "I've got a man who seems to be in his mid twenties lying here. I can't find his pulse and he doesn't seem to be breathing either. Tell them to come to... Hogwarts? And can you make sure to come back and tell me what they say please!" Yeah, she knew she wasn't meant to be doing this but ah well. It was something she would have done had this been real and it's not like the ambulance were coming. Were they?

Kita interlocked her hands so that her left hand was on top of her right hand. "Right, so, sir," she said, "I'm going to compress down on your chest 30 times." Did that even make sense?

1, 2, 3, ... she thought, making sure to go along to a steady beat. That is how the heart beat right? Steadily?

16, 17, 18, ... The counting continued as she put a lot of force into pushing down on the dummy's chest. It seemed to be getting harder. Her hands were aching and she could feel the blood rush to her head as her hair came out of its bun.

28, 29, 30! Kita let go and looked down at the man's mouth. It was clean right?

"Well, it doesn't seem as if you've woken up yet," surprise, surprise, "So i'm going to... breath out into your mouth?" She took a deep breath and bent down over the man's head and pinched his nose whilst making sure that his head was still tilted back. Her lips met his plastic ones and she blew out into his mouth. She sat up a little and repeated the breathing process. "Right," she said, "It's back to the 30 compressions!"

1, 2, 3, ... The counting had started once again as she started the compressions. It wasn't so bad the second time. She was getting used to it.

16, 17, 18, ... And... it looked like she had spoken too soon. Her hands, more specifically her right wrist, was hurting. She let it pass, thinking it was just the fact that she was compressing the dummy's chest.

28, 29, 30, ... She let go and looked down at the dummy. This wasn't good. She bit her lip and frowned a little before taking in a deep breath. Pinching his nose, she bent down over the man's head and breathed out. Resurfacing, she repeated the process.

And he still wasn't waking up! Was she doing something wrong? She sighed and interlocked her hands once again. She placed it on the man's chest when, suddenly, she noticed a movement. It wasn't coming from any of the other students but from the dummy himself. She gasped in delight as she looked at his eyes and noticed them flicker. A groan can be heard coming from his mouth was she that bad at the breathing processes? which seemed to suggest that he really was waking up. Yay!

Kita smiled. "Welcome back, sir," she said. Did this mean that she had passed? That wasn't something she had cared about now. She had managed to revive a dummy man and she felt happy.

Jeremy was moving around the classroom, watching the students' work and occasionally taking notes on what they did well and what they...well, didn't do so well. Or omitted. It was quite amusing to see what the dummies the students had chosen looked like. Especially along with the students' facial expression upon revealing the faces. Heh.

Mia then moved over to her clown patient's head and she used her left hand to pinch his nose and placed her right hand underneath his neck to hold him in place. She then placed her mouth over the clown's and gave two sharp breaths before starting the compressions again.

She repeated the process of thirty compressions and two breaths another five times until miraculously her clown opened his eyes. Well it didn't really but Mia was going to pretend it did.

"Just lie still Mr Clown help is on it's way."

Yay she had finished.



Arriving where Mia's dummy was lying, he couldn't help but grin at its face...it was a clown. A dead clown. Or at least an unconscious one. That's what it looked like anyway. Jeremy wouldn't have used a real clown obviously...that would have just been plain scary. Oh, and dangerous too of course. For the clown.

With a smile at the girl, Jeremy flicked his wand at the dummy, causing its chest to move as if it were breathing. Yes, he wanted this to be authentic. "Well done, Mia. You may leave. Good luck on the rest of your finals." He grinned at her one last time before turning to the other students nearby.

She then applied it to his burns. "Alright, all finshed sir. Help shall be here shortly." and with that Chloe knew she was done, she smiled knowing she had done her best.



Chloe was doing really well with her dummy, making sure they always felt comfortable. Standing behind her so he was hidden from the girl's view, Jeremy induced the occasional response from the dummy with his wand before finally taking a step forward.

"Help is here now, actually. We'll get you to a hospital now, Sir." He said towards the dummy - he was just playing along - before chuckling lightly and turning his attention back to Chloe with a smile. "Well done, you may leave now, good luck on your exams."

Smiling he turned to the next student.

Unless it had a plastic heart then it really would be dead. Standing up, Evelyn straightened out her uniform shirt and skirt before fixing her socks and turning around to the professor. DRAMATICS TIME! "Professor, I did the best I could do." For a plastic dummy that is. *sniffle* "It seems like Mr. T was gone before I could even got here." Poor Mr. T, he had his whole life ahead of him. Hopefully Miss B wouldn't hunt her down for this. Eesh, definitely don't want that.

It was all the same, though. He could still try one last thing before help came, but as much as liked Zookara's classes there was NO WAY Treyen was kissing this dummy. NO WAY.

He straightened himself up, and shrugged, "Dead" he said, looking at Zookara. Yeah, the dummy was dead, like him for failing.



Evelyn was doing really well - well, quite well anyhow :evil: - when...she stopped?! O_o Jeremy waited a few moments for her to continue with the next step, which would have been performing CPR, but nothing. Had she forgotten what came next? No, she seemed to be a clever witch and besides, most of his last lesson was on that so.

"You are now allowed to declare anybody dead, you're not a doctor." With a shake of his head he turned away as he heard Treyen playing doctor too. "You neither, Treyen, even if it seems TOTALLY obvious that the person is dead you have to perform first-aid until a doctor declares them dead...unless you would endanger yourself of course." He explained, raising his eyebrows at Evelyn again who it seemed was inching towards the door. Don't you dare leave.

Me?" she asked, dummy!Jeremy very clearly, pronouncing every syllable like she was talking to someone partially deaf, which she might have for all she knew, except the Professor wasn't deaf, but oh well. She looked around to see any other precautions, that weren't the scarf she found earlier, which of course there wasn't. Good. Cause that would just be incoveniant.

No he definitely wasn't answering her. HMPH. Fine then! "Well if your not going to make some response, I guess I'd better see whether you breathing" you know, for him to die on her, even if it wasn't really him because he was stood at the front of the classroom, well that would just be tragic wouldn't it? She leaned over him to see whether he was actually breathing, which before long she found out he was not. Oh faaantastic. Grr.. Pulse next right? The Blondie placed two fingers, not her thumb because that had a pulse of its own, on dummy!Jeremy's wrist and discovered no pulse whatsoever. She tilted his head back, in an atempt at getting some breath out of him at all, whilst also removing his jacket.

Guess it was all down to CPR

She interlocked her fingers together, pushing down hard on his chest, 30 times exactly, in an effort to get a heartbeat out of him, which she didn't. Oh well, guess it was down to the breaths now then wasn't it.....? :shifty:

She blocked his nose so that no Oxygen could escape and covered her mouth over Dummy!Jeremy's and blew in Oxygen, twice. Luckily she only had to do this once and he was already breathing by his own again. Or maybe it was unlucky for her.

Hmm...

"HAI" she grinned down at breathing!dummy!Jeremy.

Ah well, practical over.



It...was weird seeing himself there. Yet at the same time quite amusing. Funny how Trixie had got the himself!dummy. xD She couldn't have known which one was which. Watching her closely he grinned broadly at her attempts at saving him...or the dummy!him. Either way, it was amusing to watch.

"Hai!" Jeremy replied from behind her, the smile on his lips audible in his voice as he moved around the girl and into her view. "Well done, Trix. So I guess I can only hope that if I'm ever in need of first-aid you will be the one to find me." Err...not the ONLY one obviously but you know. "You may leave now." Grin!

Phew...time to save this dummy's life! "Sir?" Kurumi was starting to get involved into the acting aspect of this. She had seen one too many doctor dramas with her brothers. "I am going to have to perform CPR. There is no response." Who was she talking to?

Kurumi took out her cellphone and pretended to call the emergency number. "Hello? Yes, this is an emergency. I have found a fallen man in the woods. He is not breathing and there is no response. Please send help immediately." She then hung up the phone in a rather dramatic fashion and turned her attention back to the dummy. Kurumi then placed the heel of her left hand in the middle of the dummy's chest and her right hand on top of the other with her fingers interlaced. She then pushed down gently, but with a little force, until the dummy's chest had compressed about 5 cm before allowed the plastic to return to its usual potion before repeating. She repeated this 30 times before taking a short pause to talk dramatically to her dummy again.

"Sir, can you hear me now?"

She then rested her ear near his mouth and noise to see if she could hear or feel any breathing. Naturally, nothing. She did an overly dramatic sway of her head to the side and looked up at the ceiling as if she were asking for divine help.

Time for the breathing. Kurumi's stomach turned a bit. Did this count as a kiss? She had never been kissed before...nor had she ever kissed someone before. Was her first kiss going to be stolen from a dummy?! Opening the dummy's mouth a bit, Kurumi then tilted its head upwards a bit so the chin was a little higher in the air and then pinched its nose. She then quickly covered the dummy's mouth with her own and blew in until she saw the chest rise a bit. Repeating this one more time, and no visible change in breathing patterns, Kurumi repeated the chest pushing and breathing again.

Still nothing...was her dummy ever going to start breathing?!

Kurumi repeated the process three more times and still nothing. Now she felt like she was failing and losing the life of her poor dummy. Deciding to try again, she felt tears slowly streaming down her face. "P-p-p-professor," she mumbled still continuing with her CPR routine. "I-I-I don't think he is going to breath again..." She still continued to repeat the process and checked for breathing. If her dummy stayed dead...did that mean she failed Muggle Studies?!



Jeremy had been busy vanishing left-over dummies when he heard a faint voice talking to him...or rather attempting to. There wasn't a lot of breath left to talk it seemed. After his hazel eyes had spotted whoever it was, he quickly made his way over to the girl who turned out to be...Kurumi.

"No, it won't, it's a dum-" He stopped midsentence however when he noticed the wetness on the girl's cheeks. Was she...crying?! Quickly crouching down next to the Gryffindor he placed his hands over hers which were still frantically trying to make the dummy breathe with chest compressions.

Softly tugging them away from the plastic!victim he gave them a squeeze before letting them go again. "It's okay, Kurumi, you're doing great. I'm-" Behind his back he gave his wand a quick flick. "Look, it's breathing again!" Yes, he knew she wasn't that little anymore but still, it was the first thing that came to his mind. "See, mission accomplished, you may leave now. Well done." He smiled at her warmly while getting up again.

Although he kinda wished it did. That way he's done with test.

He then loosened whatever garments that looked like it constricted the dummy. He began to wonder if this part actually ever help anybody in reality. He tilted the head back slightly to check for anything that might be blocking the air passages. "Nothing blocking the air passages." he stated aloud. Then he started to wince, he knew what the next step was going to be. Why didnt he have a female dummy again?

Bah just do it!

He pressed his lips onto the dummy's mouth and blew in, then shifted towards the dummy's torso quickly pressing his other hand onto his fist and pressed them down on the dummy's chest repeatedly, counting about 5 times before moving back and blowing into the dummy's mouth again. He repeated the motion of pumping the chest with his fist and just as he hovered back towards the dummy's mouth he stopped short, staring at the dummy dude's blank expression. Ok thats it he's done. His lips arent made for dudes, rubber dummies or real ones.

Salander stood up and looked to the other man "Will that do Professor?" Oh you better say yes.....



N'aww...he wanted a prettier one? Jeremy was pretty sure that the victim/dummy/person wouldn't be too happy about hearing that. He didn't voice his thoughts however so as to not disturb Salander from what he was doing. And he was doing it well. Very well.

Watching the boy, Jeremy couldn't refrain from chuckling lightly as he flicked his wand at the boy's dummy after he had stopped with the CPR, causing its eyes to fly open and sit up slightly, flinging its arms around the Slytherin boy. "I think it's grateful that you saved it." He commented with a grin before giving the boy an approving nod. "Well done, Salander, you may leave now, that is, if Mr. Clingy here lets you." Heh.

Okay now she knew that the dummy still had a pulse she had to figure out something to bring the dummy back and FAST..!! "CPR..!!" she said suddenly. Oh how could she forget that?

"Okay. I'm going to do the CPR now Mr.Dummy." she said. She hoped that the dummy didn't eat anything that had a horrible smell. That would be YUCK..!! She took a deep breath before doing the CPR. She used her left hand to pinch his nose and her right hand to hold the dummy mouth. "Here goes nothing" she placed her mouth over the dummy's and gave the dummy a few breath. Then she placed her hand over the dummy chest and began to pump the dummy chest. "Come on dummy. Wakie..Wakie.." she said still pumping the dummy chest. She repeated the process several times. She saw the dummy opened his eyes or she pretend he does. "Welcome back Mr.Dummy." she said. Well. That will do, won't it?



Jeremy couldn't quite refrain from chuckling in amusement at how Freya was talking to the dummy. It was just too cute. "Yes, well done, it's always good to keep on talking to the victim. It might hear you afterall and it ususally calms them down and prevents them from panicking. So, well done." Heh, not that she had to tell them to wake up but whatever. "You may leave, good luck on any exams you might still have." He grinned before with a quick flick of his wand he let the dummy disappear.

Sigh. They weren't allowed? But the dude's not breathing, so, for all Treyen knew the dude was dead. Though, Zookara was right. He was not a doctor. He wasn't even a Healer! Healer! "We can always send a quick note to Hogwarts' Pretty Healer to come and help, right? If we're at Hogwarts...like now" because she'll know what to do, right? And perhaps the dummy will like Healer Moretti to save him.

The dummy may want Treyen for playing Quidditch, if he made it out alive.

Since the Huffie boy was certainly not doing the kissing part, "But I can wait until help comes and then listen to the doctor or healer say they're dead" that was all he could do, really. Because he'd check if the dummy was conscious, he'd check for pulse and breathing, he'd even done a few compressions...and the dummy remained the same...soooo...that's why he declared it dead, now that they couldn't do that, well, he'll just wait for the qualified people to do so.

Kurumi had now lost essentially all of her doctor drama personality and was back to being the naïve 11 newly turned 12-year-old that she was. She looked back up at her lighting bolt of a dummy. Wasn’t he supposed to be the boy who lived and not the one who died?!

Kurumi calmed down just a little when she felt the professor’s hands on hers and her heart and stomach began turning circles when he took them off her dummy. This was it, she had failed. Not only that, but she had actually killed Harry Potter! Kurumi felt the tears welding up again until…she saw the chest of him slowly begin moving up and down.

HE WAS BREATHING!

Kurumi’s expression immediately went from one of a small puppy that had been kicked to a kid waking up Christmas morning to see all the gifts left by Santa.

HE WAS BREATHING!

Kurumi beamed and turned to Professor Zookara – she probably could have blinded him from the glare and sparkle in her smile. “I really did it!” she squeaked and tried to control the urge to hug-tackle him right there on the spot. No, she had not seen him perform the simple charm to make the dummy move nor did it register in her head that earlier she had known that the person before her was made of plastic and therefore would never really start breathing again. “Thanks for a great year, Professor Zookara,” she smiled bowing first and then shaking his hand. “I am looking forward to next term.where maybe I can draw some more stick figures…:whistle:

Will the spring back in her step, she hugged plastic!Harry and then skipped back over to her things. Picking them up, she began to skip towards the door and made sure to turn around once more before leaving to wave good-bye.
