Katie sighed softly. Have faith in them? They were completely insane more than half the time, and just so boyish and.. and yet, here she was. Still talking about them, still planning to go find them later. Because they were her friends; HER boys. What could she do? "With good surprises, I hope." Katie murmured.

Finally finding the right zipper, the fifteen year old tugged her bag open and pulled something plush out and closed her backpack again, straightening up in her chair as she noticed the frown Mister Masterson wore. "Aww. I was looking forward to seeing her, but I suppose that's good she's with her mum." Running a hand over the fluffy thing in her lap, Katie offered it over to her Head of House. "Will you give this to her next time you see her? I thought she would like it."

"You didn't have to buy her anything, Miss Mae," he smiled, reaching out to take the bunny. "But, I'll make sure it gets to her. She'll love it." He stroked the head of the plush!bunny before playing with its ear. "Thank you very much."

"I wanted to, she's a cutie and us bunny lovers have to stick together!" Katie said jokingly, practically beaming when he said that she would love it; she had hoped so. "I suppose I should get going, you probably have another group of students waiting and I should make sure Legend hasn't done something crazy like trying to cross the age line around the goblet of fire." Would it be surprising if he actually had? Nope. Not even a little.

Standing up, Katie scooted her chair in a little bit before turning to go to the door, pausing just before it to address Mr. Masterson one last time, "Can I ask one last question? It's kind of more like a request, but.. do you think if you plan to or have to leave the school for bigger and better things anytime in the near future, could you tell us Hufflepuffs ahead of time?" Katie asked, one hand resting on the door knob as she waited. "Just so we know, and we get a chance to tell you goodbye? And maybe have one last celebration or something? We don't get to do that very often with the professors." They usually were there one term and gone the next when they did disappear.

Constantine's gaze turned down to the little bunny and flopped the ears a couple times, chuckling at Kaitlynnh's statement about her friend. "Well, I hope you find him in good condition," he smirked, starting to get up from his chair.

The stuffed bunny still in his hands, he slowly crossed over to the door. He paused, however, as Kaitlynnh made her request. Wow. That was...intense.

"Yeah," he nodded, looking serious as he did so. "I promise that I will let you all know if I'm ever leaving. You have my word."

The corners of Katie's mouth tugged upward Mr. Masterson's comment; she hoped so too. As much as the boy's antics tended to annoy her, it would be a lie to say she wouldn't find that even a little bit funny.

He said yes? Blinking her dark eyes, Katie's smile grew. Now she could only hope he would be staying atleast until she left school. Hehe. "Thank you, Mister Masterson. Have a good day." With that said, the Hufflepuff girl turned back around and headed out of the door.

"Goodbye, Miss Mae," he waved. With a pensive sigh and the bunny in his hands, he turned to call in the next student.

"Next."

He almost ran through the wall!

Almost. It was an optical illusion, see, with the speed he got inside, it looked like it.

"Mr. Masterson!" he exclaimed, with a smile, as he looked towards Headness Masterson, yeah, their Head of House...how come he got to live outside, instead of the kitchens? Riiiiight, Groundskeeper, too. Er, never mind.

"How are you?" he decided on asking, the last he'd seen the man, personally, had been at that camp out last year...but he wasn't here to discuss any of that, noooooo.

Treyen cleared his throat before he started to speak again, "I have a question, Sir, how familiar are you with Nifflers?" yeah, he was going to leave the whole 'Saylen told me to' story far behind, Mr. Masterson didn't need to know that part.

Josey walked into Mr. Masterson's hut behind the other student he had called in. "Hello sir," the normally cheerful hufflepuff said shyly. She played with her necklace, like she normally did when she was nervous. "Would you like a truffle?" She reached into her pocket and pulled out her small bag of Lindhor truffles. She didn't want to carry them all at once, so she carried a small cloth bag with her at all times. "You can have one too, if you want," she said to the other student, offering him one.

"Mr. Lockhart," Constantine mimicked the boy. Full of energy this one was...it was kind of scary. "Err...I'm good, how are you?"

Then, the conversation quickly turned to a discussion about nifflers. Neo raised a suspicious eyebrow. "Too familiar, if you ask me. Why?"

Treyen grinned, "Oh, thank you!" he said, taking one of the truffles, yes, only one, out of the bag. "That's very nice of you" a nod came to his precious golden-brown head.

And now, Mr. Masterson.

"Awshome" he said, eating the truffle, but he wasn't truly awesome, he needed some vital information that would help him get Phineas back.

Why the eyebrow raise? "Oh!" he ate the final part of the truffle, "Have you had a Niffler before?" because that's why he'd said 'too familiar', no? Unless he'd been one. But that was very unlikely, Treyen would never believe that, thats why he joked, "Unless you've been one?".

"I need information about their eating habits" yes, straight to the point.

Still clutching the stuffed bunny, Constantine eyed the boy (almost evilly). "I might have been...once." Twice.

Three times.

"And why aren't we going to the Care of Magical Creatures professor?" That wasn't Iliana. Sigh. Boredom.

WHAT?!

Treyen's eyes widened. He was NOT expecting that answer. His eyes narrowed only slightly. The boy didn't believe it, "Might have been? Did you find any treasure?" two can play at this game.

Oh.

That.

The boy almost blushed, "I--She was the one who gave me the assignment" evil, evil woman! And he only thought of asking the Groundskeeper, because, well, he was the Groundskeeper.

His eyebrow twitched. "No, I didn't. I was turned into a Niffler for being an annoyance and was distracted by pretty gold chains." Cough. "If you're not careful, Mister, I just might turn YOU into a niffler and see how you feel." Evilness! Bwahaha.

The man was kidding, wasn't he? There was no way he was turned into a Niffler.

Or...was it?

Treyen's face froze. Was he for real? Had he truly been changed to a Niffler? How come the Hufflepuff Head of House was once turned into a Niffler?

Heeeey...

Blink, blink, blink?

His entire body froze. Like when that time in CoMC class, when they could be turned into animals. He didn't enjoy that class, at all. No, he wasn't turned into anything, because the sole thought of it just...he didn't like it. He feared it.

Being something one was not...that could be his boggart.

Was he saying Treyen was annoying? "Can't you just answer the question, Sir?" or let him go?

Constantine smiled. "I suggest you go read a book, Mr. Lockhart." Just because he'd been turned into a niffler, didn't mean that he was a master on them. He just hoped he was never turned into one ever again.

Er, well, yes! He was on his way to the Library anyway.

But, really, he didn't see why Mr. Masterson couldn't just answer, you know? It would be awesome to have it from a Niffler's point of view.

Er, Treyen had to get out of there before Mr. Masterson could turn him into a Niffler. "Eh, no, thank you, Sir" he said, with a bunch of simple nods, and then shook his head for no apparent reason.

But he was coming around, and he knew he was meant to leave the Hut very, very soon, and head towards the Library. Yeah, that.

"I should get going...you know, research...but thanks anyway, Mr. Masterson" he said, with a firm nod and a smile on his face, "I'll see you around" he waved goodbye and almost trip on his way out of the Hut.

He was safe now.

And most likely never to return.

Constantine sighed as the boy left. He was such a schmuck. Him, not the boy. With his luck, he'd probably scared that student away. Siiigh.

He headed over to his extensive bookshelves and read all the spines, before he found the one he wanted: Nifflers: The Complete Index of Information. He carefully bound it with twine and then secured it to his owl before sending it off after Treyen.

Once that was done, he went to his door, looked at the students waiting and called "Next!"

Preston climbed up the stairs carefully, making sure he didn't trip or touch his hands on anything. He didn't want to have to clean up blood from any where from his scratched up hands.

Once inside Preston looked around before coming to a halt in front of the grounds keeper. "I-I was w-w-wondering i-if y-y-you c-c-could help m-me s-s-sir." Preston told him showing his scratched up and bloody palms to him. He suddenly felt extremely shy and wished he had just gone to the Healer.

Constantine raised an eyebrow as he surveyed the kids hands and mentally "ouched". "Come on in, kid," he motioned, walking ahead and over to a kitchen table chair, pulling it out and motioning for the little Puff to sit in it. "What happened?"

Preston gave a nervous smile and followed the groundskeeper in. He did his best to climb up onto the chair as he could without using his hands. "I-I-I t-t-tripped over s-s-some s-some-something an-and s-scratch-scratched th-them up w-w-when I-I l-l-land-landed." He explained to him.

"Well, that's a bummer," Constantine commented heading over to his skin and pulling out a clean cloth and soaking it in some warm water. "Alright, let me see those hands," he asked, starting to clean them.

Preston nodded his head slowly and watched as he began to clean his palms for him. "I-I-I d-d-did-didn't k-k-know w-w-where t-t-to g-g-go." Preston told him. He paused for a few moments not sure what to say next. "M-m-my n-name is P-P-Preston b-by th-the way." He added on realzing the man helping probably didn't know his name.

For a child who wasn't shy about asking for help or meeting new people Preston felt very nervous around the groundskeeper. He felt like he should just run up to the castle and find Ringo instead.

"I know, Mr. Turner," Constantine smiled, cleaning up the last bit of the boy's hands. "I'm Mister Masterson, your Head of House. You're lucky these scrapes are shallow." Grabbing his wand, Constantine traced the tip over the wounds, watching the skin heal.
