Adam followed behind Katie to the moving staircase. He knew they were gonna fight, he just had that gut feeling bubbling in his stomach. She seemed steamed, so Adam tried to keep a expressionless face, even though, he was ready to run or explode.

Katie turned around and saw Adam behind her, she looked away and kept walking, she went down a set of stairs and stopped and hid, she had a tear in her eye, why did Adam bring this up?

He kept following like cat and rat. Only he was the cat chasing after the rat. Wait, was that possibly a sob he heard, or a wipe away of a tear."Katie, I only said that stupid stuff, cuz I don't want to see you get in trouble, you know I don't mean it..."He called behind her. Now he was walking side by side. GAHHH, dramaville again, he thought.

"Adam, I'm not angry at you, something did happen" Katie said as she looked down at the floor.

"Maybe I could comfort you if I knew a tiny bit...What happened?"He said, his voice now soft and caring and not angry. Katie was a girl of many emotions and it was hard to decipher her out.He really wish he could read her like a book, but she made that impossible. He then stood in front of her, and moved in her direction. She was not moving one more step until she told him what was wrong and bothering her.

"Me, My mother and father were driving and we had a car crash, I fainted and broke my arm, I was unconscious for one day, it was scary" Katie as she looked at Adam.

"But you're safe now right?"He asked, glancing at her arms."Unless, are you crying because your parents are still at the hospital and seriously hurt?"He said full of emotion. A car accident. But if it were over now, why would she be crying? That didn't really make sense for Adam.

"Its over but it was scray" Katie said.

Edmond carefully took one step at a time. He didn't trust these stairs, it was as if they had something against him. He would try to go on a set of stairs when suddenly it would moved and take him away from his destination. It wasn't coo...at all.

Katie walked out of the room with her bag on around her shoulder, she was a set of stairs above Edmond, she started to walk down the stairs, she ws looking down so she could not see Edmond, she looked at everywhere she was stepping, Suddenly the stair case started to move as Katie took a step to get off, she tripped over her own feet and splat! Katie was alright but her stuff was everywhere, Katie saw Edmond and there was her journal next to him, it was full of secret stuff, she quickly got up and grabbed it.

"Hey Edmond" Katie said smiling, she rubbed her head and picked up the rest of her books.

Edmond heard his name being called and then Katie...on the ground. Why was she on the ground? He then looked around and assumed it was the fault of those evil moving stairs. Seriously, they were dangerous. "Hey, Katie," he said and started to help her with her belongings. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Katie blushed as she saw Edmond helping her pick her books "Thanks" Katie said thanking him for helping her, she stood up and whipped the dust off her robes and smiled at Edmond.

"I think I am alright" Katie said looking at herself, nothing broken, nothing hurt, she looked fine, just a bit dusty, "How are you?" Katie asked as she put her books away in her bag and swung it back around her shoulder.

"Good," Edmond said when he saw that she was okay. "I'm fine, a bit tired from the homework." yup, he did homework. "How about you?" Ed asked.

Ahh yes, homework, it wasn't really homework because they weren't at home, they were at Hogwarts, but Hogwarts felt like there home, so it should be called Hogwarts/Homework "I am good, being doing my homework" Katie said with a smile "Anything interesting happen?" Katie asked.

'Tell Him' The voices inside her head kept saying it, she knew Edmond wouldn't understand, she pushed the thoughts away and smiled.

"Well, my mom sent me an owl the other day telling me she's going to have a baby." he smiled. Ed was really excited that he was going to have a sister or brother. "How about you?"

"You sure you're okay?" Edmond asked when Katie looked a bit pensive. Maybe she did hurt herself when she fell down.

"Really?" Katie said, that sounded great, hooray for Edmond's family "Congrats" Katie added.

Katie thought, was she alright? There were voices in her head to tell him, normally they just stay quiet, there must be something, maybe she should? "Edmond" Katie said looking in his eyes "I can't take it anymore, Every since I met you I have had feelings for you, that I liked you more then a friend, when I found out you were dating Fee my heart sank and I feel like I am missing something, I liked you even when I was with Adam, I always have" Katie said, a tear came to her eye, would Edmond understand? she was poring her heart out to him.

"Thanks," Ed smiled.

Soon, after Katie confessed her feelings for him, Ed's smiled disappeared. Katie liked him? But, they were best friends. How could this have happened? What does he say now? Edmond was at a complete loss of words. He didn't want to hurt Katie's feelings but his heart belonged to Feenella and that wasn't going to change. "Katie...I..." Ed started pacing back and forth, something he did when he didn't know what to do. "I'm sorry...I can't return the same feelings you have for me..." why was life so complicated, "You know I'm with Feenella." he said looking at her straight in the eyes. "Please don't cry." Ed wasn't good with crying girls.

Katie smiled and whipped the tears away "I know, I just thought that I should tell you, thats all" Katie said as she looked away, looking at all the people, Adam must have cursed her or something because every boy she found went away with another girl at the end of the day.

"And I appreciate that you did," Edmond said, carefully. He didn't know whatelse to do or say. Did Katie still want to be friend or should he leave?

"He can walk into any book, with his pony pal Pokey, too...." The girl had been singing the song ever since she had left the potions class room, skipping around the castle with no true destination. The glowing girl had no idea what she was gonna do with all the energy she had. The first part had been spent in the secret passage way, staring at her glowing orange skin. It was just so orange, and bright, and......glowy. Hehe.

Giggling, in between verses, she hopped all the way up the moving stairs, bag on her back and looking for her Ravenclaw friend. She finally had an idea. She wanted to doooo things with her bestie. But the girl had seemed to disappear after the class was over.

But whoooo was this. Distracted. This girl looked familiar, and she was a claw. Maybe she would be fuuun too. "Heeeeey. Your a Ravenclaw." Yes, the potion was making her state the obvious. "What are you doing on the stairs that move? Wanna do something fun? I was gonna rollerblade with my best friend, but I can do it with you." Did she know how to skate? Hope so cause Arya had to much energy to teach again. "Unless you have another idea." Bouncing on her toes, she looked at the girl from the top step with a huge grin.

"Friends?" Katie said as she smiled shyly.

"Friends." Ed said with a smile. He was relieved that things didn't escalate to a problem. But, he couldn't help, but feel guily.

Katie smiled at Edmond, that was the great thing about there friendship, if something awkward happened they would be back to friends again "So anyway, what homework are you finding the hardest?" Katie asked changing the subject.

Edmond sighed in relief. Everything, apparently, was back to normal? "I kind of found potions hard, but it was okay," he said, "How about you?"
