"Yeah, yeah." was what she said to that. Again, Treyen was pretty much right. There wasn't really a point in arguing with him, was there? Clearly he was allowed to talk to anyone he wanted to and say whatever he wanted. "There's not really a need to be concerned, though. I'm not hurting anyone." Hopefully Fletcher would back her up here?
Tiberius...? Who was- ...Oh yeah. Tibi. That boy from Florean's. Melanie's expression softened a little at the sight of Treyen's downcast face. "Maybe he would agree with you." That was her horrible attempt to cheer him up. "I'm really not that quiet, but think what you want to. I don't mind that much. Not really." Eh. She was just saying that because he looked sad.
good for you and your use of imagination! What? "But, Dumbo..." Treyen just killed her childhood. She nodded at his next comment. Yes, they'd just never seen them! "It's possible." Totally was. As cliche as it might sound, anything is possible. Some things were just a lot more probable. For instance, the existence of thestrals, hippogriffs and dragons was a lot more likely than the existence of flying elephants. "I wouldn't want to use a dragon, though. They're dangerous." And scary. "I guess using a hippogriff or a thestral wouldn't be a so bad... probably easier to find than a flying elephant." However, in Melanie's opinion, they weren't nearly as awesome.
What? Really? After all the thought he put into his sentence and all she could say was 'Yeah'. Fine. He sort of smiled, though, "I never said you were hurting anyone, I just said I was concerned because you could very easily bring everyone down." perhaps he didn't understand the concept of 'hurting' people.
"Never mind." he had GIVEN UP. Truth be told, it wasn't really worth it, because at least Melanie was not saying how depressing summer was, and that was a plus.
Huh? No, no, there's no 'maybe', Treyen was more than certain that Tiberius would've agreed with him one hundred percent. He sort of wished that boy was here, and Aaron, because Aaron would've agreed with him just to annoy her. "Well, not now, but when I met you, you were." she was talking right now, what was the point?
"Dumbo? Who's Dumbo?" she said, frowning at his lack of knowledge in this subject. The boy looked up as she kept on talking. Haha. She was talking. A lot. Awesome way to prove him wrong. "I wouldn't use dragons either, actually, I wouldn't use any animal, but yeah.." Kaika would probably try to fly a dragon, though.
"You can make one, you know?" er, perhaps he shouldn't have said that. What if Saylen heard him speak about making a creature? Yeah, she wasn't even going to allow Treyen near the grounds for sure.

"Sup," he man-nodded to the young Puff, not saying more cos he was totally lost and not wanting to interrupt their weird convo about... invisible flying elephants or something.
Treyen breathed in relief, "See, Melanie, you make your own summer, so it really is your fault if it's boring." he said, looking at the Huffie girl before turning back to Fletcher.
'Sup'. Treyen nodded. He wasn't awesome enough to pull off a 'Sup' of his own, that's why he said nothing, but decided on asking something he was curious about, "What are you doing, Sir Fletcher? This summer." yeah, that wasn't going away anytime soon, the 'Sir Fletcher' part.
Sapphinelle sat down by herself, sobbing. She was going to miss the HECK out of Kodes. She was going to jump to fourth year next year. She'd never see her friends anymore. It wouldn't be the same, all these sweet people, yet all younger then her. She was older; more mature. This wasn't a good Hogwarts start for her.
Kodes dragged her feet into the great hall, glancing around, knowing it would be the last time she ever laid eyes on the room. It was the room she'd ate all her meals in for the past few months, and it would feel...WEIRD eating elsewhere now. BECAUSE SHE WAS GRADUATED! AND OLD!
The thought in itself was bone chilling and made her want to just sit down and SOB.
And speaking of sobbing, Kody could see a girl sitting and doing such at the huffie table, and her heart went out to the girl. She knew how she felt, this really was a terrible evening. At least for her...excitment for going home just didn't compare to the desolate feeling of LEAVING. And on THAT note, Kody realized she knew the crying girl. And recognizing the bent head made her go into her own sob fest.
"Snell!" Kodes threw herself onto the bench next to her 'little sister' and wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulder, letting out her own sounds. "I-I-I'm really gonna m-m-miss you."

Er... were his two friends arguing yet again? There Fletcher had sat, talking to his lady friends and only half-overhearing his fellow Puffs argue about elephants or Elle's pants or dumb bows or something, but the whole time they were arguing?
Typical.
"Yeah he's totally right, you know," Fletcher nodded a little and gave Melanie a shrug. "Why don't you go on vacation somewhere or come visit your way awesome friends who are going to get a job in Diagon Alley?"
Whups, had he let that slip? HEH. Fletcher turned back toward Treyen and winked. "THAT is what I'm doing, LiL Lockhart." Funny how the two Lockharts always ended up arguing like siblings even if they weren't related. Er, were they related? Nah Fletcher would have remembered that detail about his Puffs... surely.
"I got a job at Gringott's for the summer, as an intern of sorts." An intern with aspirations to be the awesomest cursebreaker who ever did live, duh. "You guys should all come see me at work over break!!" That would be SWEEEET as long as they didn't lose him his job.
Because now that Fletcher had a bit of money, he was rather attached to it and rather pleased at the prospects of more money rolling in with work. So none of them (or anyone, for that matter) had better do anything to interfere with his income. We all know how the GlitterPuff likes to deliver messages with his fists....

And recognizing the bent head made her go into her own sob fest.
"Snell!" Kodes threw herself onto the bench next to her 'little sister' and wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulder, letting out her own sounds. "I-I-I'm really gonna m-m-miss you."
Her eyes stung from the deep sobs, and she wiped her eyes while the tears still came flowing down. Once she calmed down a bit, she felt someone wrap their arms around her and looked up to see-KODES! "KODES!" she yelled as she sobbed harder. "I-I'm-gonna m-miss you m-more! Are you s-still gonna adopt m-me? she managed to say through her tears, causing a huge scene. She hugged her tighter and felt like the world was crashing down around her. Kodes completely turned around her life and she got so little time with her.
...and in the meanwhile he had a happy distraction sitting across the table from him. "Sandraaaa!" Fletcher returned her smile with a more than happy grin. He leaned forward on the table, resting his elbows beside his place setting. "I enjoyed it immensely, as I was just telling Brielle and Mel here. And I'm looking forward to the summer even more."
Sandra subconsciously leaned forward a bit when Fletcher did, resting on elbow in the edge of the table and tucking the hair that fell to her face behind her ear. Hazel eyes flicked over to the girls he was referring to before returning to him. She was going to ask him about his summer plans, since that had only spoke of her at the willow, when a small boy had beaten her to the punch.
"I think I vill come for a visit." Of course they already had a whole tour of Diagon planned, but seeing him work would be fun as well. She needed to sort a few things with them anyways. "Of course that means you'll have to visit me as vell." All this visiting along with her other plans are gonna keep her busy for the summer.
Yay, Em though, She was remembered me. She smiled back at Melanie and answered her question. "I just got finished packing, it took forever, but I'm glad to be going home." even if it did mean she couldn't see Brit for like two and a half months. "What about you?" she asked in return. "Are you excited for the summer?"
"Me too." she replied, brushing a loose piece of hair behind her ear. "I just finished last night." Finished, and started. It had kinda been a last minute Merlin's toes, I'm going to need that stuff, aren't I? kind of thing... For the most part, she just stuffed whatever was within arm's length into her trunk.
Melanie wasn't quite sure how to answer the younger girl's question about summer after being told to knock it off by Treyen for being negative about it. She didn't want to lie, though. "I'm... not extremely excited. I am, a little bit, though. It will be nice not having homework for a while... and to see my family." True enough. Her cousins she could go without another year or so, but her dad... She was looking forward to seeing him again. Melanie missed him.
"Are you planning on doing anything fun over break?" Hmm, maybe she could give her ideas.

Daaaang. He had had fun with the Triwizard Tournament and all -- a LOT of fun, in fact -- but catching a killer or surviving a wicked flood would have been even cooler.
"Eh," he shrugged off Melanie's sudden bout of negativity. "My summer won't be boring." Now he'd just waaaaaait for her to ask why...... if she wasn't too busy talking to Treyen.
Melanie had to hold back a grin at his reaction. Whoops? “Sorry bout that. That stuff happened in past terms. I guess I forgot for a second you weren’t here then,” she explained, feeling a little sheepish.
The girl raised an eyebrow curiously, looking properly interested at his next comment. "Oh yeah? Wha-"
But she was cut off by Treyen.

Did she really have to explain this? "You can hurt someone without even touching them..." And just for clarification, so he didn't think she was talking about some sort of spell. "..with your words." Melanie was quite confident she wasn't doing that either, though. "I know what you mean, but-"
Oh, of course Treyen would be the mature one to say never mind and end the argument. Meh.
"Yes." Melanie just nodded, trying to be patient. She was talking right now.
On a more positive note, "Dumbo, the flying elephant, of course! You've never heard of him?" Poor, deprived Treyen. Hehe. "He's in a muggle movie- an animated one. See, his ears were really big so everyone made fun of him and he was isolated. Dumbo's only friend was Timothy the Mouse. Timothy stood up for him and told him to value his differences. One day Dumbo found out that his oversize ears gave him the ability to fly- They acted like wings." Melanie smiled slightly to herself, her mood a little better. There was more to the story, but that was the main plot of it.
She nodded some more when he said he wouldn't use a dragon either. "I doubt a dragon would be willing to take someone on a trip around the world." They did have different habitats they were used to. "It would probably dump you off in the middle of the Atlantic." After it got tired of him telling it it didn't smile enough or something. "No, I'd go with a broom." Melanie had to grin. Oh her broom. How she missed it.
Make one? "I don't think I could." she replied, shrugging off the thought. She didn't know enough about stuff like that.

Annnnnnnnnnd, back to Fletcher.
He was supposed to agree with her! No fair! "Actually, I was just planning a trip around the world. Possibly on an elephant. A spur of the moment thing, really." Melanie joked, grinning. Wait... what did he just say...?
Her eyes grew wider as he explained, as did her grin. "No way!" Melanie exclaimed. "I mean... not no way as in I won't come see you but no way as in... well, you know, surprise. Amy walked into the hall quietly, her eyes still a little red. All of the seventh year's eyes were still completley red, but they'd had time at Hogwarts, lots of time and time to adjust to leaving, she'd recieved her letter from Italia Conti the previous day and had burst into tears over the handwritten letter, smudging it completley. Oooh that had been embarassing. Especially when the first years had come in to see why their were louds shrieks and sobs coming from the second year dorm and had had to comfort her.
She sat down awkwardly and instead of her usual enthusiasm and chucking pizza onto her plate, she sat and just looked around, restraining the urge to cry. Again

Preston was definitely in a far better mood now that he had given Miss More her bracelet he had made her. He made his way back from the staff table carefully and took his seat in front of his plate once again. He started eating, this time not counting the times he chewed each bite, but ate normally.
Preston continued to look up and down the table just in case he missed someone he knew. Still not seeing anyone, Preston focused back on his food for the time being.
"Me too." she replied, brushing a loose piece of hair behind her ear. "I just finished last night." Finished, and started. "Yeah," Em said smiling. "I had been trying to get my stuff together for a while now, but I always loose things. Like, I found one of my shoes at the lake, and I have no idea how I managed to leave it there." There were probably more things missing, but she would never know. That is, until next term when she finds them behind her bed.
Emmaleigh noticed the other girl's apprehension and lack of enthusiasm about summer. It was a time to see family, and visit with friends you haven't seen in nine months. And really, it was too short of a time, only like two and a half months at home. Unless, "You're not graduating are you?" she asked. Em couldn't remember if Melanie had told her what year she was. Or what if she just wasn't going to be here? that could explain the older girl's feelings. She hoped that wasn't the case though. Melanie was like the only older student she knew, and it would make Em sad if she left.
At Melanie's next question, she shrugged. "I don't think we are planning on doing anything unusual. Just working on my family's farm, and visiting my friends. I have been invited to visit my friend Brittany in America, but I don't know if my parents will let me go." She paused, thinking about her summer plans. She was so excited about being able to see her animals again. And that reminded her that she needed to gather her pets here at hogwarts, for the journey home. "What are planing to do this summer?" she asked the other girl.
" hi Sapphineele" Rex called out. "Why are you crying?" Rex asked her. " you can tell "Uncle Rex" all about your problem" Rex told Sapphinelle.
" hi Sapphineele" Rex called out. "Why are you crying?" Rex asked her. " you can tell "Uncle Rex" all about your problem" Rex told Sapphinelle.
She looked up, blinded by her tears, to see Rex trying to cheer her up. "M-my best friend and s-sister is leaving, this is h-her l-last DAY EVER!" She cried, sobbing harder then ever. His cheering up didn't seem to suceed.
Er... were his two friends arguing yet again? There Fletcher had sat, talking to his lady friends and only half-overhearing his fellow Puffs argue about elephants or Elle's pants or dumb bows or something, but the whole time they were arguing?

Good. End of argument. But you know, that's what Treyen was talking about, because she could be influencing people to be sad by simply talking about summer.
Yeah, never mind.
A half-blood boy, who was pretty much raised seeing a lot of the Wizarding world and little of the Muggle one was bound not to know about Dumbo.
Dumbo, huh? It would be an understatement to say that the boy's face was a complete mixture of confusion and wonder. He was beyond confusion and wonder. Muggles were so inventive, weren't they? "I've never seen an elephant fly...nor dragons either, but it sounds as if the Muggles got that story from seeing one of our creatures do so, no?" his tone was a chipper one for sure, because Melanie's mood was improving. "Timothy sounds more interesting than Dumbo, though." it sounded like a movie he wouldn't watch, but he'll try to do so just for the mouse.
Now we're talking! "You know, Melanie, it doesn't really matter how fun the means of transportation are..." and sometimes Treyen sounded smart, "...but what you do when you arrive." he thought planes were fun, but not everyone thought so. "But I guess making the journey fun is a plus." soooo, no brooms. Those were for Quidditch and for running away from creepy flying creatures, like flying elephants.
And then...
...beam. Treyen was beaming. The reason? Ha, Fletcher said he was right. Take that Melanie!
But, hold it. The boy blinked, blinked, blinked. Diagon Alley? Fletcher was going to be working at..."Gringotts?! That's brilliant!" Goblins weren't the bright side, but it was sooooo awesome. Awesome, like Fletcher. His eyes lit up, "Of course! We'll go." and then he eyed Melanie, "Er, well, I'll go." it's not like he was going the same day she was, right? If her summer had been fun, then he'd have no problem, but he wasn't meeting her to hear her complain.
"Do you know what you'll be doing, Sir Fletcher?" he asked, and his eyes flickered between the Durmstrang girl and Fletcher. Visitations were going to be plenty, no?

She was about to use it but noticed her name had been embroidered on it. Oh that was cute. “Thanks” she smiled, albeit weakly at that guy who asked an awful lot of questions in Astronomy. She needed that, though she didn’t want to use it now, the gold stitching was all pretty and what not.
The seventeen year old looked over at the small kid in the situation, the one that she had yet to met yet. Though by the looks of it she was close to Sarah and Lori too. She gave her a smile, a gentle one, because she knew how she was feeling right now. Maybe the two should get to know each other in the new term. When there was no one else to talk to……
*Sob*
But then she had passed along the two presents and the corner of her mouth tilted down as she watched their reactions as they took them, but then lowered her head in slight fear of what they were gonna think of them. They weren’t the most expensive of gifts, but they were meant to mean a lot more than that anyway. They were from the heart and although that probably sounded incredibly cheesy, it was completely and utterly true.
She turned to Sarah first, who seemed to react to them the quickest. “I..It..It’s” oh gawd. Her eyes began filling with tears. “I wanted to get you something to remember me by…But something that actually meant something” her voice was shaky as she spoke. Then Sarah had flung herself forward to hug Trixie and the Slytherin returned the hug, clinging onto her. “I’m going to miss you so much too Sarah” her bottom lip was quivering completely. Why did SHE have to be left behind when everyone else was going? Why couldn’t she leave too? But people wouldn’t let her, she fully well knew that.
Then it was Lori’s turn, and she had practically exclaimed but ended up in tears. She grabbed hold of Lori and brought her into the hug too. Gah might as well just have one giant hug. “I’m.. I’m really glad you like it” she gulped. This was just horrible.

"I probably do. You can do the honours," Alex offered, leaning forwards and offering his face. He knew he didn't deserve a slap reeeeeeally, because he was only trying to make some people smile. It just wasn't working.
But maybe she was too busy to slap him. "I can do hugs as well... I'm leaving, too!" Alex put on the most puppy-dog-eyed, pitiful, youthful looking pouty face, before... well... his face went normal again. "I am open for hugs, though, if anyone needs them. He grinned at Lori when she thanked him, but when he was referred to as 'kid', his face went a little like -___-

This boy had actually cracked a smile on her face as he offered his face for a slap, and she just ignored it with a shake of her head. She had a badge, did she not? She couldn't go around slapping her fellow students even if they were evil and GRINNING on such a sad day!
"You're leaving too? Oh right. I'm sorry?" She shrugged awkwardly, as her gaze fell straight to her feet and a blush creeped up onto her cheeks. It wasn't HER fault she was so insensitive at times. "If you wanna cry, I wont tell anyone!" She offered, with a frown and a lip chew, looking back up at him.
And then people were crying, and so was Lori, and Trixie was squishing her, and Sarah was all wibbly, and Lori had a new bracelet, and more tears rolled feverishly out of her eyes and spilled onto Trixie's shoulder, and her robes. "It's beautiful, Trix. Really beautiful." She nodded, as she slipped it onto her wrist, and tied it.
It was something she would keep forever, she was certain.
A glance back at the male, caused Lorelai to frown a bit more, and stuck her arm out to grab for his and pulled him over in her direction so she could hug him. Hey, he could tell her fans he had just gotten a Lorelai Bristol hug. Yes, he could.

Again

As she sat quietly, red-eyed, timelessly trying to finish a slice of toast, the prefect caught a young student [also red-eyed] pass her; and immediately got up and followed to sit beside her. "Hey up, kid. What's wrong? Have you lost something? A kitten? A book? Your pyjamas? We can go find them...." They had time, Lori was sure.
She looked up, blinded by her tears, to see Rex trying to cheer her up. "M-my best friend and s-sister is leaving, this is h-her l-last DAY EVER!" She cried, sobbing harder then ever. His cheering up didn't seem to suceed.
" No, you are right that is not good" Rex told Saphinella. " You should be happy for yoru sister and yoru best friend and wish them good luck for the future" Rex said to Saphinella. " Tell you what, my friend Jason Potter Weasley has this enormous castle and he told me I can invite anyone I want over there at any time" Rex explained to her. " How would you like to hang out there?" Rex asked Saphinella. " My friends are there, his family is there, his old frienda are there, sometimes all at the same times and sometimes not at the same time" Rex laughed. Rex waved his wand into Saphinella's hand is yellow and white bouquet of friendship flowers.

Amy looked up as the older girl...hang on. Prefect? She looked at the girl, woooah, pink girl she recognised her from around the common room when she'd been there at least, um..no she shook her head before blinking, I just, you know, last day. Ever in your case she shrugged, and I'm not coming back either she shrugged. Buh nope. Everything's packed. Unfortunatley she smiled darkly, sorry I'm Amy she said, completley forgetting her own name for a second. She didn't know what she was more shocked about, the prefect coming to talk to her or the fact that this was her last ever night here.

"O-okay." She managed to mumble, and wiped her eyes with a tissue she conjured and took a deep breath. "R-really?" She said with a sniffle, looking up at him. "Sure, I'd love to." She said with watery eyes. She smiled at the flowes and took them happily. "These are really pretty." She added, admiring the flowers.
Simon couldn't believe another term had gone by so fast, he couldn't wait to get back to Hollian, he looked around to see if he could see anyone he knew but he couldn't so he sat there waiting to see if anyone would speak to him.

Simon Amy waved at him wondering if he'd ignore her like last time. Shuure they'd had a fight but she'd been trying to appologise and she'd like to get it in before she left.
Forever.

Kody choked back another sob as her little sister started to cry even harder at her company, and she bit her lip hard, trying to keep it from quivering so much. Clinging to her little sister, Kody nodded, she was too sad to argue with her, though she was SURE it was IMPOSSIBLE for Snells to miss her MOARE. "O-of course." in fact, she had a paper thingy mah bobber that said she was doing just that. It was something she whipped up on the computer, because she was wayyy to young to actually legally do that sort of thing.
Reaching into her bag, she pulled it out, passing the pink paper Sapphinelle, and giving a small wobbly smile, "Y-yo-you HAVE to c-c-come spend part of the s-s-summer with me? O-O-Okay?"
*Wibble* Nekoda took the time in which Snell talked to a slighty younger boy to try to compose herself slightly, though efforts were proving futile.

Lorelai took a glance at the younger girl, and placed an arm around her giving her a light squeeze. "Awh, honey, you'll be perfectly fine. You're young, you can adjust to change. You can always make new friends and you can always keep in contact with the old!" Heck, maybe she should take some of her own advice, really.
"Lori. She introduced herself quickly, and gave the girl another squish.

Amy smiled up at Lori as she put an arm around her, you're hardly old she said looking at the girl, she was anything but old. Just pweety. And...pink. I know but nothings can beat Hogwarts. She shrugged, and I wanted to be prefect, she wrinkled up her nose, nice to meet you Lori she smiled, her mood cheering up as the wise prefect spoke words of wisdom. I guess she shrugged again, still... Hey where are you going? She asked, you know once you finish Hogwarts

Hardly old? Lori laughed, and shook her head. "I'm eighteen, i'm like... ancient compared to the rest of you students. And my boyfriend?" She turned around quickly, and pointed over at Adam at the Ravenclaw table. "He flunked a year, and he's nineteen now. So he's old." The seventh year chuckled, and then her face became still, and she sighred and nodded. "I know... But something can always be as good." Oh, Amy wanted to be a prefect? "Maybe one day you can come back, and you'll get the chance to be one? Or maybe your new school has prefects? You're only young Amy." Really young, actually.
"Me? I'm gonna start training and stuff to work with Muggle Social Services. Wizarding Correspondence." Yeeep. That.

18, sheesh in the muggle world you are only just an adult. That isn't old! She followed her point to the boy, hmmm 19 really old she nodded seriously, she turned back to Lori as she paused. Thinking. Yeah, I guess she smiled thinking, she hoped that they would...Prefect Amy Samson. That would sound good wouldn't it she thought happily to herself, she was young she guessed, well younger than everyone else. Apart from the first years...who she was older than. Obviously.
She nodded, ooh she tried to sound interested but faltered slightly, uh whats that? She asked, blushing feeling stoopid

Simon smiled at Amy. "Hi Amy, how are you today?" He hadn't seen here for ages, and this might be the last time that he saw her, but he wasn't going to say anything to her, he didn't want to have an argument with her.

Lorelai shrugged, and then nodded. "Compared to all these students, i'm old." She mused with a forced chuckled. She wasn't up to laughing anymore, it hurt to laugh when she was so sad. It really did.
"Just focus on having fun, and your studies, Amy. You don't need a badge, you really don't. It's a bonus, i'll say that. But there are more important things." Boyfriends NOT being one, when you were very young. Nuh-uh. You hear that mini-Puffs? NO boyfriends until you're 580.
She smiled, and nodded as she explained. "Social Services help people in need and stuff. Like children with parents who can't cope. Social Services assess the situation and posisbly replace the children. Wizarding Correspondence, that's where children with real wizarding parents get put with new wizarding parents. Or like my half brother. To see me, he had to be put with wizarding parents." But Donnie loved them, so it was no problem.
